Milly's Restaurant - Eritreisch und Äthiopische Spezialitäten in Frankfurt am Main

Unfortunately, unfortunately, unfortunately, this cozy eritarian restaurant in the racism-free Rödelheim (according to the town sign and the majority of people living here) is closing at the end of the year. Owner Azazi Maricos himself was present today and friendly as always. He modified the menu for the four of us so that we liked it (one wanted more beef, two wanted much more spiciness...). Oh, we'll miss talking to him! Yes, it has a restaurateur as a part -time job is really difficult. He's thinking about something else, for which we wish him good luck and joy. An Indian restaurant will be moving in here soon. Multiculturalism remains in Rödelheim. Here's to a new one!

Excellent and quick cuisine with top prices. Really great for authentic African food. Unfortunately, some drinks and dishes were no longer on the menu, even though we were the first ones in the evening. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that good that evening either. We had to sit for a long time in front of our empty plates and glasses until we got up ourselves to ask for another drink. It's a shame because the food was very tasty. I would still visit the restaurant again because of the food. Then hopefully the service will be better again.

We always wanted to visit this place after we had discovered its existence. Finally, we made it with my wife and one of our friends before leaving Rödelheimer. It was a nice experience. We ordered Mill's special for three persons which comes with different items mixed together. It was delicious. We also had beer including the fruit flavoured African one in pumpkin pots. That was also a different experience. The ambience was good and the staff was very welcoming, smiling all the time. We definitely recommend this place.

A very great shop with fair prices and you also get very good food. Had the number 28. It was excellent and can only recommend it, with the DjuDju beer banana flavor. Everything perfect.

Very, very tasty food discovered through the Schlemmerblock and accepted by chance at a buffet day. We then decided on this one. Unfortunately, the ambience is reminiscent of an old German pub, we would have walked past it from the outside, but the food is really worth it. The owner serves himself today and is very friendly and accommodating.

Food is super tasty. Service very nice. The only thing that doesn't really fit is the interior design. But it's about the food and not the furniture.

We had reserved the restaurant for the Vegan Stammtisch Frankfurt and the restaurant was completely full. ☺️ We were offered a rich buffet and of course refilled when it was empty. :) The owner was very personable and friendly, like the year before. :) What was even better, of course, was that we were served vegan dessert (tiramisu). 🙂🙃 I'm already looking forward to next year!

I've been here twice with the Vegan Stammtisch Frankfurt. Both times there was a super tasty selection of vegan dishes and the staff was very accommodating.

We were here for the first time with the vegan regulars' table Frankfurt and what can I say? We were warmly welcomed in a friendly atmosphere! The taste was so delicious that we went to the buffet several times! Dessert, the vegan tiramisu, was just so creamy! I had never tasted such good tiramisu! The owner lovingly inquired about our needs! We were well looked after and will definitely be back!!! Thank you for making vegan diversity so tasty!

The food was good and the quantity was okay. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. The ambience is somewhat adapted to the origin of the food and you sit well. There are several vegetarian dishes.

The okra dish (Bamya) is absolutely top and I would come again for that! The injera was also completely convincing - nice and mild and fluffy. But we weren't quite as convinced by the vegan plate. Overall, it wasn't seasoned enough (typically) for us. Unfortunately, the Shiro tasted as if some of it had been burnt in the pot (unpleasant smoke aroma). In fact, it also smelled burning before while we were waiting for the food. The portion size is very good. The prices are OK. The service was super nice! The ambience of the restaurant is interesting - a mix of African elements and old German charm. 😃 It's definitely cozy.

Since there are no Korean reviews, I also left a Korean review. There are a lot of Koreans living in Rödelheim because of Zentrum, but there weren't any when I lived there before, but recently I came to Rödelheim for a trip down memory lane and suddenly found a good restaurant. The Rödelheim tandoori is really delicious, and this is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants I've been to. Haha, I've been to Ethiopian restaurants in several cities in Germany, but the owner said: It’s cheerful and friendly, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the food is really delicious! I live in a different city now, but would gladly visit again! If you order and eat the Millis Platte, it's perfect and really suits the Korean taste. Be sure to go there.

We were there last night for the vegan regulars' table, in a great atmosphere, with excellent service and delicious food, definitely try it out!

Yesterday we went to Milly's again and everything was great! The food is excellent and there are many vegan options. The African beer, which is served in a wooden bowl, is particularly recommended. The owner is very personable and the atmosphere is simple but very cozy, especially with the quiet blues music in the background. The price is also right and if you come with a B-MY voucher book, you also save on a main course.

First of all, it has to be said that the restaurant is in a residential area and you can park in the area without any problems. Were here with several people. The restaurant is rather simple, but everything is neat and clean. The waiter is very friendly and attentive. Redeemed a B-my voucher here without any problems. The drink selection is good and there is something delicious to eat for everyone. Many dishes are offered vegan. I can recommend the Somosa as a starter. Afterwards I had the vegan platter, prices were fair, portions were good. However, I would have liked a little more, since I always talk about anything if I don't like something, so I did it here and I was promptly given a second helping. Everyone was enthusiastic and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely come back. By the way, the injera here is very digestible.

Unbeatable price. If I lived nearby, I would definitely be there more often. But we will definitely come back again.

Einfach nein ! . Sometime back we ordered food online and they delivered the wrong order. Second time we went there personally and they served us alcoholic drinks and yet we had ordered non alcoholic drinks. Worst part is, they tried to argue with us that it was non alcoholic drinks. Washing our hands was a nightmare. There was no soap and water in the bathroom. Professionalism is at zero. Nie wieder!

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, immer genau perfekt gewürzt, Geschmack ist konsistent (dasselbe Gericht schmeckt immer gleich und immer sehr gut). Der Besitzer ist auch sehr freundlich, aufgeschlossen und aufmerksam. Das Lokal kann ich wirklich jedem empfehlen. Gehört für mich in meine Top 3 Lieblingsrestaurants in der Frankfurter Gegend. Absolute spitze.

Truly incredible food in a welcoming setting. Walking in, you are surrounded by delicious smells, cool decor, and chill blues music on the overhead speakers. The owner is very friendly and speaks English in addition to German. We had the 'Milly's Plate for 3' and it was outstanding - we were so focused on the food we forgot to take a picture. Especially good items in the assortment were #21 Keyih Tibsi-Barai and #43 Timtimo. For dessert they have 'Temri', which was lovely - Creamy yogurt topped with chopped dates, finely crumbled halva, peanuts, and honey. Not too rich or too sweet, a perfect end to the meal. My sister enjoyed her African mango beer, served in a unique wooden dish.

Ein Muss für jeden, der ostafrikanische Küche mag. Ich war bisher in fünf verschiedenen äthiopischen Restaurants, so gut wie hier war es nirgendwo. Ich komme garantiert wieder. Ich habe die gemischte Platte bestellt, kann gar nicht sagen, was besser geschmeckt hat. Alles war gut.

Das Restaurant liegt direkt bei uns um die Ecke und ist sehr gemütlich. Wir sind immer sehr zufrieden und haben uns auf Empfehlung sogar in der Schärfe gesteigert und es nicht bereut. Der Inhaber ist sehr lieb und aufmerksam und bringt bei Bedarf gerne etwas nach. Besonderes Highlight ist für uns das afrikanische Bier mit Geschmack welches aus einer Kokosnuss Schale getrunken wird.

Wir waren heute zum Essen da und haben die millys Platte für zwei Personen gegessen. Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich, allerdings hätte sich meine Begleitung mehr Gemüse gewünscht. Ambiente ist sehr sauber und urig, mit afrikanischen Flair. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, allerdings bei vollem Lokal, wäre vielleicht eine zweite Bedienung gut gewesen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

I recently had the pleasure of trying Ethiopian cuisine for the first time, and I must say it was an incredible experience! I visited and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors and warm atmosphere. The food was a revelation. The variety of dishes, all served on a large, communal injera, was a true feast for the senses. The combination of flavors and spices in each dish was both exciting and comforting. I particularly enjoyed the injera bread, which was a perfect accompaniment to the various stews and lentil dishes. The staff were exceptional. They were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely friendly and eager to assist with recommendations for first-time visitors like myself. Their warmth and hospitality made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, my first experience with Ethiopian cuisine at was a delightful adventure for my taste buds. I can't wait to return and explore more of the rich and flavorful dishes this cuisine has to offer. Wir hatten den Teller zum teilen für zwei Personen. Das Essen war köstlich und die Portion sehr großzügig. Die Bedienung war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und die Getränke günstig .

Sehr leckeres, frisch zubereitetes Essen. Man merkt, dass das Essen und Restaurant mit viel Liebe geführt wird. Die Gastfreundlichkeit ist besonders hervorzuheben. Man fühlt sich hier nicht als Kunde, sondern als Gast.

Die leckerste vegane Platte in einem äthiopischen Restaurant in Frankfurt findet man hier. Vor allem wird man von dem Linsencurry suchtig, es ist so extrem geschmacksvoll. Der Kellner ist auch jederzeit gutgelaunt und auch sehr lieb. Ambiente auch sehr gemütlich und angenehm.

Wir hatten die 4 Personen Platte, ich kann nur sagen: Bin begeistert! Super lecker alles war sehr angenehm gewürzt verschiedene Essenskleckse auf dem Fladenbrot welches auch pur lecker weich und angenehm zu Essen war ...mit geschlossenen Augen geht man sehr schnell auf Afrikatour. Sehr guter Service auch bei vollen Lokal kaum Wartezeit. Ambiente ist eher Richtung deutsche Vereinskneipe aber das stört mich nicht solange das Essen, Getränke und Bedienung Top sind 😀

Es war ein Traum. Rinderfilet mit Okraschoten bestellt und die Samuse mit Rinderhackfleisch als Vorspeise. Absolut identische Küche. Absolute klasse. Vielen Dank und komme gerne wieder.

Wir verbrachten einen schönen Abend im Restaurant. Das Essen war wirklich sehr, sehr lecker. Alle Saucen waren gut gewürzt, das Brot (Injera) hat auch gut geschmeckt. Für die gemischte Platte mit zwei Fleisch- und vier vegetarischen Gerichten kann ich eine Empfehlung aussprechen. Das Gericht sättigt! Weiterhin muss hervorgehoben werden, dass der Gastgeber außerordentlich sympathisch ist! Man fühlte sich rundum wohl. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren mit einem Gutschein dort . Wir wurde sehr freundlich empfangen und beraten .Wir hatten eine vegetarische Platte mit traditionellem afrikanischen Fladenbrot. Geschmacklich hat es mich nicht richtig abgeholt ,das liegt aber vielleicht auch an mir. Eine klare Empfehlung gibt es für das großartige Mangobier,das war mega lecker.
