Really good and fresh made sushi

From day one, we were thrilled with every visit, but the last two visits were very disappointing, especially in terms of sushi taste. I don't know if the quality of the accessories has declined, but it's definitely not what we were used to. Mikoto will no longer be our go-to place. The prices have also risen quite a bit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the all-you-can-eat sushi at Mikoto Stuttgart and was completely satisfied. The food was fresh and varied, with a good selection of sushi and hot dishes. The portions were also well-balanced—not too large, so you could try a variety of dishes. The service was attentive and friendly; we never had to wait long. Overall, a pleasant atmosphere and a restaurant that I would happily recommend.

A beautifully located, delicious place where you can enjoy excellent, fresh food. The sushi tastes delicious and is noticeably fresh. The portions are definitely filling and the decor is artistic. The drinks selection is also excellent and delicious. It's also a great place to have a conversation. You can pay with cash or card.

The food is good, but the old menu was significantly better. And because of the extras, some items are relatively expensive. This is fairer for other dishes.

We were disappointed because we always enjoy going there, but unfortunately, the quality has declined considerably. Especially since it's far too expensive for the small portions. It's a real shame.

We went to Mikoto on a recommendation, and we weren't mistaken. The atmosphere is very cozy, beautiful, and pleasant. The service is excellent; the staff always checked on us and answered all our questions. The service was also quick. The food was delicious, and it was fun trying the different sushi. The prices are on the higher side, but for that, you get delicious food, a special atmosphere, and a pleasant evening. A definite recommendation.

The food wasn't tasty and very expensive. A drink, including water, cost almost €5. The service wasn't friendly, but it did its job. I wouldn't go there again.

A few soba noodles with vegetables and chicken/aged tofu/ebi or salmon 21.90 absolutely ok, but to charge the same price without a side dish and then say there would have been more vegetables… I have never experienced anything more brazen… too long discussion and therefore never again Mikoto

Too expensive for no reason. The food was just good but not something special. The worst part is that they took our order for drinks and then informed us that they are closing sooner than indicated in Google. The service was impolite starting cleaning table before we finish our drink.

Today: Had sushi and soup. It was delicious (but) not as good as it used to be; at least in my memory, the fish was fresher. Still, always worth a visit! And a super-pretty menu, location, and presentation. Always top-notch service. Review 7 years ago: I love Mikôto. Unfortunately, I rarely take pictures, as it's my regular restaurant in Stuttgart. I sometimes eat here several times a week. Sushi: Very fresh and great fish! Main courses: Always very good and "clean." Crisp vegetables, great sauces, perfectly fried fish. Appetizers: Edamame and breaded shrimp were very good. Service: Usually very good, sometimes confused, but overall really nice, open, and helpful. Little turnover, which must be good and fair to work there. Atmosphere: It's a design restaurant that's even nominated for Design Made in Germany. Very nice menus, great interior, and nice outdoor seating on Tübingerstr. Very pleasant, not too loud music. Cons: -It's very busy, but I understand ;-) so reservations are helpful. A week in advance is perfectly fine! -Tables are close together. If I want a private, quiet meal, I wouldn't go to Mikôto unless they give me a table in the back. It's quieter there. The front is table-to-table. The outside seating is perfect, though. -It's not cheap, which I don't mind, because the quality is great!! I've loved coming here for years!

Our waiter and hostess were very nice and friendly. They moved us inside with no problem after wasps kept flying down to chomp on our nigiri sushi. The miso soup was very salty but our cocktails were delicious.

The sushi was good, but overall, it wasn't anything special. While the prices are on par with an upscale restaurant, it doesn't feel like it. In 36-degree heat without air conditioning, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I would also describe the ambiance as rather average. Overall, the restaurant – apart from the taste – fell well short of our expectations.

Beautifully decorated shop with a wide selection of dishes. After a short wait for service, the food arrived relatively quickly. The food looks very good, but unfortunately, it didn't quite suit my personal taste. The sauce for the rice was too bitter for me. The fried sushi was slightly warm and generously sized, pleasantly delicious.

I brought a Swiss friend with me who loves Japan. We're both from Japan, and every dish was just as delicious as if it had come from Japan. The service was fast and very friendly. We were all very satisfied.

Lunch was very tasty and the portions were large. A smaller portion would have been perfectly adequate to fill you up. Reasonable value for money.

I've eaten much better sushi, and for less money. My girlfriend's noodles were also rather inedible, as they tasted doughy and undercooked. Aperol Spritz for €10 is a disgrace, and the lump of meat hanging there isn't particularly appetizing either. Service was OK, but they could have been more attentive and asked questions now and then. I won't be back.

I visited Mikoto for the first time on a recommendation, and the visit was definitely worth it! The service was friendly and quick. For starters, we had a wakame salad, which was very well seasoned. Afterward, we tried various sushi variations, also excellent. The rice was cooked to perfection, and the fish had a pleasantly neutral flavor, a good sign of freshness! The menu also offers various steaks, which I would like to try on my next visit. If you want to discuss something important while eating, keep in mind that, as in many sushi restaurants, the tables are quite close together. The atmosphere is therefore not particularly suitable for intimate conversations.

The food was delicious, but rather expensive. We paid €145 for two adults: two cocktails, a bottle of water, an appetizer, a noodle plate for the main course, and some sushi rolls.

We were at Mikoto today with international guests, and they were all very impressed by the high quality and the friendly staff. The service here is very friendly and humorous. Even if you want a change, it's never a problem.

The food is very good, just like in Ludwigsburg, but unfortunately, in Stuttgart, for example, the menus are already torn and broken, and they need to invest in something else. I personally prefer the menu at LB, but that's purely a matter of taste.

Sushi isn't cheap, but it's worth visiting Mikoto. The food was excellent, especially the fried tuna sushi (I think 159) was very good. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant. Neither too much nor too simple. You felt comfortable. A must for every sushi lover. I'd love to come back here again😄

The sauce is soy sauce-based and delicious, but grilled vegetables don't go well with tonkatsu, so it would be nice if it came with kimchi or pickled radish.

Today I came here for lunch with my friend, everything is great, the atmosphere in the restaurant is comfortable, attentive and polite. Sushi is very tasty and the right price, is really a very worthy place to return

I'm not a big sushi eater but the sushi in that shop was really cool. I recommend the fried sushi with wasabi, if you like something spicy, that was an absolute blast.

Unfortunately not a good experience. We were brought to the table, given the menus and chose our food - but then the wait began. And we waited. And waited. Other guests who came after us were served and were even able to eat. We? Were ignored. Despite several attempts to draw our attention to us with a show of hands, no one from the service department responded. Unfortunately, that was very disappointing and unpleasant. In the end we got up and went to Perbacco. It's a shame - that's not how we imagined the evening would be

Price performance is not right. Paid €100 for two people. Crunsh roll for €22 is pretty intense.

Always a pleasure even after repeated visits. The food comes comparatively quickly and the service is wonderful. When I was here for the first time, I was also impressed by sushi creations that I wasn't initially impressed with at other restaurants. Definitely a recommendation for anyone looking for good sushi in Stuttgart.

We have enjoyed visiting Mikoto for years. The sushi in particular impresses us every time. The last two times, however, the Crunchy Sushi was no longer as crispy in the breading as it was at the beginning - unfortunately, in our opinion, it tastes a bit greasier. Hence a star deduction. Everything else is still at a great level. All the waitresses are very friendly. We recommend making an online reservation before visiting the restaurant.

The ambiente is in itself worth a visit. Very nice presentation of the food (which ranges from traditional to fusion kitchen).

We must have ordered 6 different dishes, and each of them had the exact same black sauce on them. I didn't like it the first time but everything just tasted the same because of this sauce. Unfortunately the sauce is not a dip, but the food is in the sauce. This made the food inedible for me. At least I now know where I come from.

Unfortunately for me, the ramen in the soup was totally cohesive and slippery. At the table we were asked whether everything was okay, whereupon I commented that unfortunately I didn't like the pasta that much. A simple “I’m sorry that we didn’t meet your taste” would have been the end of the matter for me. Instead, it was explained to me that they never hear such complaints and that it can't be, after all, the noodles are completely fresh. So it was explained to me that my feedback was simply wrong. And unfortunately it's not that nice either. But my companion's steak was very good. We didn't try the sushi. Because of the reaction I won't be coming back.

The crispy sushi was very tasty. InandOut Rolls with chicken was also very tasty. We usually always eat Inandout Rolls with salmon and avocado. Unfortunately we didn't really like it here, so a point was deducted. Otherwise great. Service was quick and friendly.

Way too expensive! Mikoto used to be one of my favorite restaurants when it came to suhi. Now unfortunately just overpriced for okay sushi... Almost €11 for edamame is really ridiculous. What a shame! There are plenty of other sushi restaurants in Stuttgart where the price-performance ratio is right.

So, the parking options in the suburbs aren't exactly the best, but that's to be expected from the city center. Three of us spontaneously went there to eat delicious sushi. (Without reservation) We had to wait about 10 minutes until we could get a seat and then we were quickly taken to our place. Unfortunately, the waiters took about 30 minutes to get to our table so we could place an order, but the delicious sushi was worth the wait. After our orders arrived, we discovered that the sushi contained an avocado instead of the cucumber we had ordered. One of my guests had an allergy to the avocado and that was natural and inconvenient... their dish then arrived 15-20 minutes late, Unfortunately, we had already finished eating by that time. That's why I deduct 1 star. I think Mikoto is a location you can go to every now and then if you want to dine in a good-looking atmosphere. From that point of view 4 stars and thanks for the delicious sushi in Stuttgart

I visited Mikoto for the second time today, but unfortunately this visit wasn't as pleasant as the first. The first time we had sushi, which was excellent both in terms of taste and service. However, this time we tried the udon dishes, which resulted in an unexpectedly disappointing experience. When we asked, we were told that the broth in the udon dishes contains pork. Since I wear a headscarf, it's obvious to me that I don't eat pork. It was all the more disappointing that neither the menu or the allergy menu nor the staff from whom the order was made mentioned pork in this dish. Transparent labeling of such ingredients would be absolutely necessary, especially for guests with special dietary needs or religious restrictions. To make matters worse, we had to pay full price for the dish even though I couldn't even eat the whole thing. As “compensation” we got dessert on the house. Even though misunderstandings can happen, I would have liked a little more accommodation and understanding from the restaurant in this situation. I appreciate Mikoto for the quality of the sushi and the pleasant atmosphere, but I hope that in the future more attention will be paid to clear labeling of the ingredients and more sensitive communication with guests. This would increase trust in the restaurant and prevent such situations.

We ate here with our little one on a Thursday. The salmon was really, really good. I don't eat a lot of sushi, so I can't say much about it, but I thought it tasted very clean. I think the prices are reasonable for the quality, but there are certainly other sushi shops that are also very good and cost a little less. Definitely worth a visit for a special occasion.

Unfortunately my visit to Mikoto was very disappointing. The Crunchy Sushi Rolls were anything but crispy - they tasted rather soft and limp. Furthermore, the hot dishes were far from authentic Asian cuisine. The dishes had hardly any taste and seemed very carelessly prepared. I definitely expected more for the prices. Unfortunately I don't recommend it. Unfortunately, vegetarian and vegan options are hardly available. The staff was so nice and friendly, the only thing to complain about was the food. Music was way too loud, you could barely have a conversation, let alone understand yourself. Would give 0 stars if I could. +no good parking nearby

The restaurant is nicely decorated and looks good. Unfortunately, the tables are lined up so close together that there isn't really much space between the tables. The food was good. The sushi and edamame are particularly recommended. Unfortunately, the pork schnitzel was not very tender. Staff was always friendly and attentive. I would recommend it for eating sushi. Reservations are necessary as the restaurant is always busy.

The food is good, although not the best (most authentic) Japanese in Stuttgart. Great atmosphere for that. It was therefore full, so make sure you make a reservation! Unfortunately service wasn't very attentive. We had to draw attention to ourselves in order to be able to order drinks (after about 20 minutes) after we were seated.

Food is usually 5 stars... but something has changed and I'm not sure yet whether I think it's better or just as good. But otherwise great. We try again and if necessary the star rises to 5.
