Small but perfectly formed. Peruvian dishes like your mother used to make at reasonable prices. I'll be visiting Miguelitos more often from now on.

It was our first time eating here and we'll definitely come back when we're in Cologne. The food was incredibly delicious and the staff was very friendly.

A hidden gem in the centre of Cologne. Perfectly seasoned food with a kind an attentive waitress. We ordered lomo saltado and ají de gallina. The lomo saltado stole the show (succulent beef strips in a slightly salty sauce with crunchy vegetables and rice) but they were both delicious. Will definitely go back!

Delicious food excellent service

The food is the typical home-cooked food you find in Latin America. Three elderly women were cooking, so you know the food is going to be good. The downside is that the place is quite hidden and quite small. At first, we asked if we could pay by card and they said no. Then I asked again and they said yes, but they had to turn on the machine, and I had to pay almost secretly (everything is in cash, and they don't give you a receipt, just a piece of paper with your purchase). The menu is two boards attached to the wall and is quite small, with almost no main courses (there are no starters, and desserts aren't listed on the menu). Drinks are free, and neither are desserts not listed on the menu. The food was very good and homemade, and the lady who served us was very friendly. Unfortunately, the flan was burnt on the bottom.

Every time we're in Cologne, we make it a must to visit our Peruvian grandmother's house. It's so delicious. It really tastes like Peru. There's a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Totally friendly and with a heart. Thank you for the service 🇵🇪💜

The most authentic Peruvian restaurant you can find in Cologne. The owner is so nice and it feels like eating at home. The ceviche is super good and the price is reasonable. I would highly recommend it if you’re into South American cuisine!

The food was delicious, it was worth going there, the dishes were fresh, well-seasoned, delicious, I would go back a thousand times, the woman who served us is a very kind lady and willing to provide good service.

Our tattoo artist (Peruvian) recommended miguelitos to us, and we had absolutely no idea what Peruvian cuisine was like. After we arrived at this small, unassuming restaurant and it was packed, we were very grateful to our tattoo artist for reserving a table for us. We drank the recommended pisco sour, which is probably the Peruvians' favorite drink. It tasted super fruity and refreshing. After studying the menu for a good 20 minutes, we came to the conclusion that we had absolutely no idea. The guests in the restaurant noticed, and everyone recommended things to us. How incredibly welcoming is that? We then ordered three different dishes, and what can I say? I always have to add more seasoning everywhere. Not at miguelitos! It was incredibly delicious and hot. Each of the three dishes was a flavor explosion. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the delicious food. We felt right at home.

We went to Puerto Rican food for the first time yesterday, based on a recommendation, and it was delicious. It's a small but nice place. We were full for a small price, and the Pisco sour was also great, also our first time. The nice lady even accommodated our special requests. See you soon.

There's nothing wrong with the food. If you want to enjoy authentic Peruvian food, you should definitely go here. However, the professionalism leaves a lot to be desired. This is the third time in a row that they haven't opened during their stated hours. Both online and on-site, it says they open at 1 p.m. I've been waiting for an hour and nothing has happened. So if you plan on going here, you should definitely arrive at least an hour or two later. This isn't my first experience with this, but unfortunately, I haven't learned from my mistakes and will now have to eat at another restaurant that at least sticks to its opening hours.

The food was good, but not wonderful, and the wait was very long. The restaurant says it opens at 2:00 PM, but it opened at 3:00 PM, so I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth. We traveled a long way to get to this restaurant, but it wasn't as the reviews said it was. I wouldn't go back. The waitress was rude to us.

I love this little restaurant! Excellent, authentic Peruvian food. Pair it with a glass of wine or Peruvian beer. Perfect in conjunction with a great concert at the HfMT across the street. Usually packed, so make a reservation or expect a wait! Lots of Peruvian guests are the highest praise you can get. 😁 Cash only! It's ALWAYS worth a visit!

Excellent food and outstanding pisco! We'd love to return to this small restaurant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Even a last-minute reservation for four people was easily arranged. We particularly enjoyed the ceviche and beef heart skewers.

There's a sign that says they open at 2:00 PM on Saturdays. I arrived on time, and they opened at 3:00 PM, unbelievable. When I walked in at 3:00 PM, they barely served me because everything was supposedly booked, but they served me anyway. Service was poor. The dishes were varied, tasty, but not wonderful. The chicha morada tasted like it had been bought from a bottle. I stayed for an hour, and there were still empty tables, meaning they didn't have everything booked. The atmosphere was very noisy; since the space was small, you could hear everything the table next to you was saying and thinking. The wait was very long once you placed your order. I wouldn't return.

I'm a huge fan of Peruvian food and hoenstly wasn't expecting to find this hidden gem in Cologne Germany. This is by far the best Peruvian food I've tried outside of South America. The owner is Peruvian, it's a small restaurant that makes every meal feel like it's homemade and made with love. I had the lomo saltado with the pisco sour and it blew my mind of how delicious it was. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to eat authentic Peruvian! Ps. You can order in English, Spanish and German, so language ain't an issue either!

This cozy restaurant is tucked away in a quieter part of town. It feels like you’re going to have food at someone’s home in the best possible way. The menu is simple and straightforward offering traditional dishes. The food was so delicious, hearty and full of flavour. Honestly I felt sad finishing my plate as I wished I could eat more😁. I would highly recommend and the prices are good too! The servers are very kind and friendly.

If you really want to eat the Peruvian way, you have to go to Miguelitos. Forget comparing yourself to the well-known Peruvian restaurants in Cologne. At Miguelitos, you don't feel like you're in a restaurant, but rather like you're visiting your aunt, who cooks incredibly well. Yesterday, we were served by two loving, friendly ladies who cooked with their wonderful hands: the best tacu tacu I've had in years, the ceviche was a poem, the anticuchos were cooked to perfection, and the beans with seco were a dream. We live in Bonn, but the trip to Cologne for this meal is always worth it. The other Peruvian restaurants in the region may have pretty decor, but even the best chefs can't match the taste of these two ladies!

We had Peruvian food for the first time, and we were thrilled. Ceviche de Pescara – raw fish marinated in lime juice, with the option to adjust the spiciness – excellent. Chicken with vegetable rice and feta cheese sauce – all delicious, with new flavors and freshly prepared – served with the Peruvian national drink, chicha morada, made from red corn. It wasn't our last visit...

From Taiwan for business trip, found this awesome place by chance on Google near hotel. Recommended to you who have never eaten Peruvian food, the taste is very appetizing and the flavor is distinct. One of the best food I have tried in Cologne. Guess authentic peruvien food. LOVE IT.

Authentic Peruvian food, the atmosphere is cozy, homey, the service is nice. The food was ready in a short time. It was delicious, so good. Just keep in mind they obly take cash, but it's worth the effort.

The food is absolutely great. You have got to be aware that the place does not have toilets, and the menu is only written on chalkboards.

Don't trust the service, ask because they don't give proof, they charge what they want, wait an hour for a leche de tigre, pay with the lady who owns the place 10.90, return a week later and there was another lady who charged me for the leche de tigre as a plate of ceviche, that is 17.90, the Kölsch beer 0.33 to 4.50, I won't come back again even if I liked the food. Not a legal business at all, high charges for the service they offer, and they don't let you pay with anything formal by card these days, so they just take it like good Creoles. I don't recommend it.

Un Robo Para la porción que te dan ! Ningún tipo de comprobante , no hay pago con tarjeta me parece que el cobro no es formal por lo tanto negro y encima no tiene cambio una frescura con cara gorda . No lo recomiendo !

I went recently when I was on vacation in Colonia and I loved the ceviche and lomo saltado, the chicha was also very delicious, they serve well, I read comments here that they took a long time to serve but in my experience it was not like that, maybe 15 minutes but that is normal, but it is a small place but I was lucky to find a free table (: the lady who serves is very kind, I will go again when I return to Colonia

Went here for my mom's (Peruvian) birthday and were thrilled. ❤️Chicha morada, ceviche, anticuchos, yucca❤️ it was all there and tasted excellent. I would have loved to lick the plate. Service was lovely and I can't wait to go next time. Clear recommendation

Over the last few years I've probably tried every dish on the menu and it's always tasted great. What I particularly like is the approach of offering homemade cuisine with a lot of love and good ingredients. Actually, Miguelitos is not a restaurant but a “comedor” for friends of the house. The homemade chicha morada also tastes very good. The restaurant is quite small and can therefore get full quickly, especially on weekend evenings, so you should know that. Basically only cash payment.

Expressive Peruvian food made right in front of you. Ever so slightly hindered by the fish used for ceviche. The rest was top notch tho: from Tamale to Pisco sour. Portions are dangerously large, we haven't managed to fit the flan in.

It’s a an authentic and affordable place with really good Latin food! The staff is friendly and it’s your chance to watch Latin TV once in a while. Just don’t forget to bring cash, else you’ll need to find an ATM since they don’t accept any cards. Overall, good experience!

Es la segunda vez que visito el restaurante. La comida es riquísima y con buenos precios. Hoy probé el arroz con pollo y estaba delicioso, el pollo jugoso, el arroz graneadito y con el sabor como comida casera. Igual de rica la huancaína con la que acompañan el plato y la criolla. El ceviche estaba muy bueno y la chicha morada heladita y fresca. La atención es amigable, carismática y respetuosa. Definitivamente es un lugar para volver.

Very authentic Peruvian restaurant. I had a dish called Duo Marino, which consisted of ceviche with fried fish. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the food and the price-performance ratio was extremely good. In terms of atmosphere, it is like a typical restaurant in Latin America, where you go to eat and meet and chat with your family and friends instead of making Instagram stories etc. The restaurant is very inconspicuous and “difficult” to find as there is no main street or restaurant space, so it is a real insider tip. The owner is also very friendly and you immediately felt like you were at grandma's 😁.

The food is very delicious. However, I didn't have much of it. The waiting time is very long. Cutlery and glasses were only available upon request. I couldn't eat that much and wanted to take about half of my food home with me. It was cleared away and we were not contacted again while the waitress was typing on her cell phone. When I asked, I was told that the cook had unfortunately thrown the food away and I had to pay €5 less (from €25). When we were there, it opened 30 minutes later than stated Service --

Fantastic dishes. Anyone who has ever been to South America or Africa and enjoyed the food there will have a revival here. Finely prepared, nicely served and without much fanfare. It's nice that there is this temple of taste in the heart of Cologne. Leg of lamb and beef heart kebabs (above, Cabrito á la Norteña, and bottom left, Anticuchos) were a hit. And the price is more than okay.

Very authentic Peruvian little restaurant. Small menu and very tasty food. Thanks to the mainly Spanish-speaking guests (at least on the evening we were there), you feel a bit like you're on vacation.

This was our first visit to a Peruvian restaurant and also our first encounter with this cuisine. What can I say? I'm thrilled! Exciting menu, fair prices, great service and such a good impression that we will be back! The only drawback: there seem to be problems with the ventilation, so it quickly becomes stuffy in the restaurant and the tables were not cleaned thoroughly. But no problem at all.

The food is delicious but they made me wait more than ONE hour, which I don't know if it was worth it. the pity They DO NOT accept cards, you have to go to the ATM which is super far away. It also does not have good access to the bathroom, and the service was not very good.

Be sure to convince yourself! I remained completely happy. Eat like you would at home.

Nice little restaurant which is located a bit away from the main station in Cologne, with friendly service who is also the “girl” for everything. Food is very good and tasty and drinks are taken from the fridge itself on a trustworthy basis. Prices for the food (had Tuco Tuco) / drinks absolutely fair.

Most importantly: the food. It was authentic and excellent. The taste is damn close to Peru. The waiting times are a little longer because everything is made fresh in the small family business. The 5 stars are because the food was very, very good. Unfortunately no card payment possible. This is no longer up to date. The restaurant is very small, with a maximum of around 20 seats and looks more like a snack bar. Which is a bit of a shame considering the quality of the dishes. A bit of Peruvian decoration on the walls and tables wouldn't be bad and would enhance the ambience. There is a toilet, it is accessible from outside. I would definitely come again. My husband and I were looking for a Peruvian restaurant for lunch and they were all closed, they open from 6pm, why?! This is how we found Miguelitos, open for lunch 😃 I no longer want to go to another Peruvian restaurant in Germany, we eat deliciously every time we go to Köln, totally recommended, the seasoning, quality, quantity and prices needless to say. It is best to reserve a table because the place is small and gets busy.
