I absolutely fell in love with the restaurant; the food is truly authentic, and I felt like I was currently ordering aji de gallina in Peru. The Papa a la Huancaina was also extremely good. My friend, who had never eaten Peruvian food before, also fell in love. The servers were all extremely friendly, and we felt very well looked after. The decor is also worth mentioning!

From the outside, it's a rather unassuming restaurant; we actually only came across it through a recommendation. But we have to say, it was worth it. The food was truly delicious, and the service was also impeccable. You should definitely visit this restaurant; we will definitely be back.

The South American food was delicious (the beef in particular was juicy and of good quality). The typical cocktail, Pisco, was also a delight. The prices are affordable. The service was good and friendly. However, the seating is very close together, a real challenge for larger people. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended and is a real splash of color in the Rathenauviertel.

A beautifully decorated cellar room with all sorts of Peruvian and Latin American decorations. Super delicious food at a fair price. The service is very attentive and prompt. Next time, we'll definitely try our Spanish. The Pisco Sour is definitely recommended; it's a dream.

It was super delicious, the atmosphere deserves 3 stars because I'm not a fan of cellars, but it was still really nice, so they definitely made the best of it. The tables could perhaps be placed a bit further apart, although that would probably waste a lot of space.. Anyway, it was definitely delicious and a large portion for a really fair price :) Lots of specials and really friendly service!! I would recommend making a reservation on weekends and Friday afternoons and evenings, and you should definitely expect a moderate amount of background noise.

Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The only thing I can say is that the margarita had too much ice, which lost its flavor. And the pisco was like a frozen sorbet. Everything else was great!

El Inca – My absolute favorite restaurant for years! I've been going to El Inca regularly for about eight or nine years now – and for me, it's simply one of the best restaurants ever. It's one of those rare places where you immediately feel at home. For me, El Inca isn't just a restaurant, but a piece of home for the soul. The ambiance is simply top-notch: colorful, vibrant, full of loving details – traditional Peruvian and yet incredibly inviting. Every time I'm there, I discover something new in the decor that makes me smile. The food is absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. And anyone who's tried the Peruvian cocktail Pisco Sour will understand why I say it's the best cocktail ever! I look forward to it every time. What you should know: You should bring a bit of time, because it can sometimes take a while. But honestly – that's part of it. Because at El Inca, it's all about enjoyment, about togetherness, about arriving. The value for money is absolutely spot on, and I can only say: I'll be happy to return again and again. Thanks to the El Inca team for so many wonderful and delicious years!

The food was excellent, the service was SUPER friendly, very pleasant, not at all pushy, and yet always there when you need someone. The only drawback is the small restaurant, which can get quite loud. But that's not so noticeable given the great atmosphere.

This lovely restaurant is tucked away in a basement. The service is truly friendly and helpful, a true caring person! The South American ambiance is very well-executed. The tables are close together. The food is varied and very tasty. If you like meat, the beef fillet skewer is a great choice. Cooked medium-rare, cooked to perfection.

The best restaurant experience we've had recently. I surprised my boyfriend. We were both a little unsure when we arrived because you first have to go down to the basement. Then you step inside, and a whole new world opens up. I can't put it any other way. It's bustling, with lots of decorations, music, and only cheerful people. It was so refreshing and heartwarming; we felt like we were on vacation. The waiters were super friendly and explained the menu, including its specialties and special features. Everyone spoke Spanish, and what we liked best was that at least 50% of the guests spoke Spanish and many knew each other. People greeted each other and chatted, and we felt like spectators in another, positive world. That's why I would immediately give the ambiance more than 5 stars if that were possible. The food was excellent. There's an incredibly large selection, the portions are generous, and there's so much to choose from that makes it difficult to decide. They also offered very typical cocktails made with Pisco, which virtually every table ordered. We felt incredibly comfortable and will definitely be back very soon. I've recommended it several times. It was a real highlight!

A restaurant with a menu of different "Latin American dishes" (not only Peruvian food). The restaurant's decoration has a mix of cultures; However, the food does not have any authentic flavor. I came because of the reviews and it was frankly very disappointing. I don't know if my compatriots have lost their palate and taste by living abroad for so long. Of course if you want to eat good Peruvian food, this IS NOT THE PLACE.

Special atmosphere, you immediately feel at home. Waiters always friendly and stress-free even though it was very busy, you have to wait a little longer for drinks. Tables are very close together and a bit loud, but that gives it a special charm like it is in Peru. The food is something unusual from their homeland and is worth trying, is tasty and is served hot. Also on offer are South American beers from the bottle and also German draft beer. The cocktails are very good and have a good selection.

What can I say? The best Peruvian food restaurant in the city. The classic ceviche is something I can't help but order every time I go, in addition to taking advantage of the “happy days” of discounted drinks if I arrive on time! You always feel at home and well received thanks to the wonderful service provided by the staff.

We have been coming to el Inca for 3 years. The staff is super nice. The interior is so lovingly designed with many authentic decorative elements. The food is extremely delicious! My boyfriend is from South America and for him it's like a trip home. Try the frozen yuca! The Pisco sour is definitely a recommendation!!! The best I've ever had. Just one to go is recommended.

An absolute must for lovers of Peruvian cuisine! The restaurant impresses across the board - from the friendly, attentive staff to the authentic and incredibly tasty dishes. I would particularly like to highlight the ceviche, which is wonderfully fresh and aromatic, as well as the lomo saltado - tender meat, perfectly seasoned. The grill plate is also a real treat and offers a great selection. As a finishing touch I can only recommend the Pisco Sour – just the right balance of sweetness and acidity. I'll definitely come back.

El Inca is an absolutely recommended place with a lot of atmosphere and authentic charm. The furnishings are lovingly designed, very traditional and immediately give you the feeling of immersing yourself in another world, warm, inviting and real. The food was consistently delicious: fresh, intensely flavored and definitely prepared with passion. The service was also super friendly, attentive and helpful. You can tell that real hospitality is practiced here. Everything was clean and well maintained, which only underlines the positive overall impression. When we were there the store was very busy, which of course speaks for its popularity. This meant that it was a bit lively and less quiet in places, but that's part and parcel of a popular pub somewhere. Maybe not ideal for large groups who want to sit for longer, but that's more of a personal comment and by no means a defect of the store. On the contrary: El Inca has just the right amount of life, warmth and quality.

Wow, the food is very delicious, typical Peruvian. If you want something 3B (good -nice -cheap) you have to go to this restaurant. The delicious ceviche and the drinks like pisco and soursop juice I recommend.

Without realizing it, we spontaneously stepped onto Latin American soil and felt catapulted into a realm of exclusive and authentic, top-class cuisine. Even though preparing the cocktails took a bit of time, the taste of the excellently prepared drinks easily made up for this minor drawback. I would describe the decor as rustic South American and it perfectly complemented our trip into this foreign world. A full 3.5 hours (212 minutes to be exact) felt like an hour and allowed us to forget the worries of everyday life. That's how it should be. We would gladly come back and thank you for this unexpected, but all the more enjoyable, experience.

By far one of my favorite Peruvian food restaurants here in Germany, it is located in Köln, I recommend it 100%, you will not regret it.

We went to Cologne for the weekend and decided to give this place a chance after reading all its good reviews. Place was full on a Friday night but we were still able to be seated quickly. It’s nicely decorated with different objects from Latin America, wooden tables, etc. First thing was: the drinks are so big! I LOVE cocktails and being able to get them in a decent size for around 10 euro made me very happy. They also have a “happy hour” for cocktails which makes them even cheaper in certain times so def worth it. I really liked the food, we were able to try some different dishes and they were all very delicious, their meat tender and the sauce that came with it was a bit spicy but also delicious. Cassava was good, nice nachos and the ceviche was also delicious. Good food portions. The waiters were very friendly and the restaurant itself has a good energy with people talking and some nice music. Will definitely come back here next time I’ll be in cologne :) 10/10

It was my first time there and I thought it was great. Small cellar restaurant with very good food and very nice staff. When it's full, the volume is already high, and what's around it makes up for it.

We went to this restaurant and the food was delicious. I love South American cultures and as a gringo I think it was a very nice experience to try Peruvian food and see a part of Peru so close to my house. Everything tasted very good and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, I really liked being able to use my Spanish in a place where I felt comfortable. I visited this place 2 years ago and it became one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in Germany Today I took my team so they can try it, it was such a disappointment The lomo saltado was served with yellow rice. The aji de gallina was dry, too spicy even for me that I'm Peruvian, and with fat pieces ....it felt like it was done a week ago. It was the most disgusting aji de gallina I ever tasted. Causa and ceviche were ok The chicharrón de pescado, it tasted like it was re fried a couple of times The yuca ...was so dry, also tasted like it was from yesterday. Not at all the tasty food it used to be, and I'm never returning again.

Good home-style Peruvian cuisine since the 90s. Good service and cocktails. The prices are still moderate. Unfortunately, all dishes, main courses and starters have shrunk considerably. Significantly less food is now served and savings are made in this way.

Not recommended for vegetarians. But the only vegetarian dish they had (quesedilla) was very well made, and that for 12,8 €

Still if you are in Köln looking for great south american or spanish food go there. You cannot do wrong (and try to go on a less sunny day as the restaurant doesn’t have a terrace).

Last night we were at “El Inca”. We were there around 7 p.m. on a Friday and didn't have a reservation. Nevertheless, even though it was extremely crowded, we thankfully got a seat. The staff was super nice. We ordered empañadas as a starter. Class. I then had “Lomo Saltodo” as my main course and should have eaten less overall that day. The portion size was enormous and the quality and taste was A1. In addition, I treated myself to the Inca Cola. Yummy. Last but not least, I ordered a piña colada. Finally a restaurant that does this excellently. Not too sweet and nice and creamy. Thanks for the great evening. We go there regularly now.

A small restaurant with character and a happy atmosphere! We had a very nice evening at El Inca. Meat and fish lovers will get their money's worth here and we recommend the "The Chef Recommends" section (or similar) in the menu. After we ate we sat together for a while and had a good chat over Peruvian and Colombian beer.
