MIE HOUSE in Mannheim

We waited very long in an empty restaurant to receive pasta and a sandwich, and the taste was rather bland and disappointing to me. I must say I don’t understand the positive reviews, perhaps we had bad luck with our food, but we won’t be returning. For such a price we still barely ate anything at all

We waited 75 minutes before we had our food, which was quite long. The food was way below average in our experience, we ended up not eating most of our food. We were very excited for this place, but we got disappointed. I can’t really recommend it.

Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. They even have outdoor seating. The ox cheek was so tender. Delicious... and I don't usually like mushrooms, but the truffles on the fries, mayo, etc. were delicious. There were parking spaces available here and there on the side streets, and if necessary, you could park in the H6 parking garage almost across the street. 👍 I'd love to come back.

Absolute recommendation! :) There were two of us here and we sat in the very cozy garden area. We had the truffle egg, which was incredibly delicious. The Oriental Mie was also very good, only the scrambled eggs were a bit salty. The espresso martini and the Forever Jung juice were to die for. But the absolute highlight were the French toasts! We won't be here for the last time :)

The matcha oat latte and the vegan breakfast were super tasty and the service was really nice and accommodating! The Mie House is super cozy and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately it is really loud with a lot of guests, but otherwise everything is really great!

The food here is simply excellent – ​​whether for breakfast or dinner. The drinks are also delicious and perfectly balanced. The ambience impresses with its cozy furnishings and wonderful charm. The service is exceptionally attentive and warm. I always enjoy coming here and can highly recommend this restaurant.

I am absolutely thrilled! I haven't eaten so well in a long time! Great dishes, great advice on the dishes, absolutely friendly and accommodating. I will go there again. The truffle fries are super awesome. The duck breast with the plum sauce was simply divine.

I thought it was great that they found a nice spot for us even though we didn't have a reservation. I can't really say much about the food; we only had a quick bite because we'd just been for coffee, but it was delicious and served quickly. I thought the prices were absolutely reasonable. Great location, really friendly staff—I'd be happy to come back for dinner, with a reservation, of course.

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and especially in Mannheim! Not only can you eat really, really well there, but you can also enjoy drinks. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, and the service is always super friendly and personable. The quality of the food and the preparation impress me like no other restaurant in Mannheim! It may not be exactly cheap, but I think the prices are absolutely reasonable for what you get. There are occasionally long waits, but given the lovely atmosphere, it's not a big deal for me personally :)

The first time, but definitely not the last time. I went to MIE HOUSE for breakfast quite spontaneously. I was there alone, so I was lucky to get a spot. That's why I recommend making a reservation there. The tables are quite small, but sufficient. I was greeted very friendly by the staff and seated straight away. The breakfast offering was varied and sometimes something new. I chose the Sweet & Salty Set where you could choose different toppings for the toast plus French toast. I chose the kimchi egg - a recommendation!!! There was also a fruit shot. The Espresso Martini is also highly recommended. I would come again and can recommend it to anyone who appreciates a small, hip café/restaurant. Great relaxed atmosphere.

The concept may be hip and modern, but in practice it's not convincing. The portions are small, the prices are high, and in the end you leave the store not really full. I'm certainly not a cheapskate - if the quality and overall experience are right, I'll happily pay twice as much. But there's just a lack of substance here. If you like a chic atmosphere and Instagrammable food, you might be happy, but if you really want to enjoy and be full, you probably won't.

We ate very tasty food and were served very friendly. Would describe it as Asian meets Italian.

Very imaginative dishes that are all a 10/10 in terms of taste. The service is attentive and very nice. The only minor drawback: some of the tables are a bit small, but maybe only if you order as much as we did 🤩

I did an order. They bring me only coffee and only after 30 min breakfast itself, ofc coffee was already cold. If you are ready to wait simple breakfast for more than 30 min go for it. What you wrote is total lie! 1. I came in the wonderful mood, my mood is changed only after I waited for 30 min and when I asked a waiter where is my breakfast he rudely told me that everyone is waiting. 2. The waiter did NOT tell me that I should wait for a long time but just told me that I should free the table in one hour because of the reservation and I said yes, sure. 3. If you give table just for one hour, 5-10 min for taking order, 30 min for preparing it, so I should fastly eat for 15-20 min?? what is your plan? 4. You cook just breakfast and if you cant handle the customer flow then reduce table, its not customer's problem and you are not Michlen restaurant to cook boiling eggs for 30 min. I am really shocked with your audacity to asnwer me in this way and lies. P.S. Please be careful before coming to this toxic place. At least I said what I did not like and was not smiling and lying at the same time.

When I ordered a cappuccino to take away, I wanted it to be very hot and emphasized this. Despite my desire for a hot coffee, I received a lukewarm coffee for the money I paid. When I asked the staff about it, they were very rude, which I found impossible. It's just a latte macchiato - couldn't they have just reheated it? But instead the staff made a big deal out of it and embarrassed me in front of the other customers. In my opinion the people there are far too arrogant.

Super cute and beautifully decorated restaurant! The staff was super friendly and responded to all of our requests. I've been here several times and am always satisfied. The small backyard is a highlight for me, especially in summer. The selection is manageable, but definitely sufficient. I can only recommend the restaurant!

Beautiful ambience and extremely friendly and courteous service. The French toasts were simply fantastic. Unfortunately, one star was deducted because it smelled really strongly of urine. Please fix this problem, otherwise great. I'd love to come back.

For me one of the best restaurants ever! So far I haven't found a restaurant in Hamburg that can compete with this one! The Korean aranchinis and the truffle pasta are simply amazing! But all other dishes are always delicious too! There are also new dishes on the menu regularly. Even my sister, who is a vegetarian, always finds something new to try! We always receive great service and we are always allowed to bring our dog, who also gets something to drink every time! Sometimes we even have 2 dogs, no problem at all! The breakfast is also super delicious! Be sure to try the scrambled eggs with truffles! We always come to visit when we are in Mannheim! Keep it up!

Other delicious dishes in a nice atmosphere. Sometimes a bit noisy and unfortunately the toilet doors don't close automatically. All in all, a fancy restaurant, good service and delicious food.

The food is really well balanced and very tasty. The waitresses are all very friendly and it feels like it's always full. And rightly so! So it's definitely worth coming here and trying the really delicious food. Unfortunately, it's not a cheap pleasure, so you can't go there regularly or you'll end up poor 😅. The food is even good but the drinks are almost exorbitant.

Super delicious breakfast and great service!

We were recently at Mie House and it was a really nice evening. We reserved a table online at fairly short notice (15 minutes in advance) and were then able to sit outside in the backyard. The waiter was great, had everything in view, came at exactly the right moments to ask if you wanted anything else or if everything was okay and had an extremely friendly and authentic manner that suited the store perfectly. The food was very good, so we shared the crayfish croquettes and the Korean arancinis as a starter, they tasted incredibly good and the combination is also highly recommended. The main course was truffle pasta & braised beef. We were simply too full for dessert. This definitely won't be our last visit, thank you for the lovely evening!

Perfekter und gelassener Service! Gehobene Küche aber absolut nicht steif. Egal ob Fleischliebhaber, Vegetarier/Veganer oder Trüffelliebhaber, hier wird jeder glücklich! Sehr schöne Location und Einrichtung im Zentrum von Mannheim. Super Service und auf alle Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Leckeres und feines Essen bei dem alles auf den Punkt ist. Tolle Gerichte und für jeden ist etwas dabei. Kreative Kombinationen und geschmacklich alles sehr gut abgestimmt.

A little love letter: I (re)discovered Mie House this year and am absolutely thrilled with the breakfast, evening and drinks menus. I then decided to organize a private event at Mie House with 50 people. Everyone was happy, the location is just super cute, the backyard is a dream. I'm a huge fan of the food, although my highlights are the really delicious Brussels sprouts and the truffle fries. The bar can keep up with the kitchen, so you have an all-round culinary delight. Really become a Mie House fanboy. And I also have to praise the service team because everyone is consistently friendly and keen on their job. And for breakfast an Oriental Mie - a poem. Love goes out to the Mie House "Family"

A restaurant with an inner courtyard, sometimes a bit alternative, very friendly and beautifully done. Casual atmosphere and good food. Gluten-free options are no problem.

Das ist ein sehr schönes kleines Café mit Gartenbreich. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Da essen ist sehr lecker und für jeden ist was dabei. Was ich sehr empfehlen kann ist die Hausgemachte Limonade und das French Toast mit Beeren und Sirup. Alles tipptopp!

Very nice place, the dishes and drinks are served very nicely. There are some things that are gluten free. There is even more choice if you order the dishes with a gluten-free pastry. The waitress is very knowledgeable if you ask about the allergens.

We were there with several colleagues and had very good food and great cocktails. The quality is very good and the selection of dishes is somewhat unusual. The truffle pasta and the salmon with the puree were excellent, the arrancini were also very good and the salad had pomegranate seeds and a great dressing. The only thing that isn't so good is that the tables are a bit close together, but the shop is small. The service is attentive and very friendly. One of my favorite shops in Mannheim, I’d love to come back 🥰

This was our second time there and it was another amazing meal! The service is always far above typical German service. Every meal at our table was delicious and we look forward to visiting again.

Fabulous taste. Amazing interior design. Our reservation was for three people. I wonder why we were lead to a table for two, with a third chair added to the side, while bigger tables were saved for later guests.

The atmosphere is cool but we were waiting for our easy-cooked food for about 50 minutes! We were offered free Limonade what was good, but the whole experience was not a very good because long waiting time.

Das Essen ist ein Traum nicht überladen Teller aber viiiiele Aromen, die Einrichtung und vor allem die blaue wandfarbe genau mein Geschmack, kommen somit gerne wieder. 2 Wermutstropfen:es ist SEHR laut, wenn alle Tische voll sind und man bekommt ne art Tracker per mail über die Reservierung. Ich persönlich finde eine Mail als Zusage völlig ausreichend.

Schönes Restaurant, wahnsinnig leckeres Essen. Ich war das erste Mal da und komme auf jeden Fall wieder… es war echt schwer sich zwischen den spannenden Gerichten zu entscheiden, mein gewähltes Essen (wie auch das der Freundin mit der ich dort war) war super, das Personal war zuvorkommend, freundlich und anscheinend gut gelaunt, das Restaurant ist süß gestaltet und wir saßen bequem bei angenehmen Geräuschpegel (Montag Abends, es war nicht ganz voll).

We've been there several times and everything has always been great. Sure, the food is a bit more expensive and the portions aren't that big, but my partner and I have always been more than full! From breakfast to dessert, I think it's really good there. It is small and there is seating outside in the back yard or in the front. The decor is very cute, it's not a fancy shop and I think that's great. This seeing and being seen is annoying these days. Staff very friendly. LG

For breakfast, I took a Florentine set with apple-ginger juice, with a cappuccino. I think the food is overall okay, and the homemade juice was really nice. My only complaint is that the poached egg was almost like a boiled egg, which ruined it a bit for me. The service was otherwise good, and seating was very cozy.

The place is quite loud. Other than that, the food was very good! Eggs benedict was yum! Truffel fries are a bit overrated BUt the truffel cheese pasta was delicious!

Often visited Mie House, it is such a great breakfast place. Enjoying especially the breakfast menues there. Also went with my parents so that they can experience a fancy breakfast in Mannheim. The service is great, always friendly even when the place is busy.

Unfortunately, our evening at MIE HOUSE ended very disappointingly. Aside from the fact that the prices are high and the portions are small, the food was delicious. When we paid to leave after exactly 2 hours, we were informed that the next guests were already waiting and that we had occupied the table for too long. Two hours would probably be the upper limit and next time we should either come later or leave faster. You feel very welcome and valued... In fact, I won't be coming again after hearing this. We would have already solved the problem.

Kleines und feines Restaurant. Eher junges Publikum. Alle Tische waren besetzt. Ohne Reservierung am Wochenende wohl eher schwierig. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und schöne Atmosphäre. Essen war sehr gut. Die Trüffel Nudeln zum Hauptgang sensationell. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert.

Kleine Portionen, hohe Preise. Der Service war unverschämt.

What a beautiful restaurant. For my part, I would rather say “a place of the senses”. Dave, the charming service angel, picked us up and was thrilled with the joy with which he offered us the food. And we were not disappointed. Really excellent food. Creative, lovingly prepared, simply delicious. We can say for ourselves that we came as guests and left as friends ;-) It was a perfect match.
