Mido Restaurant in Berlin

The restaurant is nice, but that's about it. It is extremely crowded and some of the staff are unfriendly. We were forgotten twice and had to worry about getting our food ourselves. Even though we reserved, we got the worst seats. The food was reasonably good but we were disappointed with the menu size. There are better sushi restaurants in Berlin where the motto customer is king is very important. However, that is not the case here.

We eat here again and again. When the boss is there, he greets us immediately with a handshake and nice words The food is great and so is the ambience. Of course, high-frequency use creates a certain level of noise If you prefer it quiet, you should look for alternatives. However, if you value good food, friendly service and a great menu, this is the place for you

I‘m a bit picky about sushi but always satisfied here great food and fresh sushi

Staff very friendly. Drinks very bad. Cocktail served with sour milk. Beer without foam ok. It exists in other countries too.

Service and food is good, but not exceptional either. My sushi was really great, but my friend's rice dish had so much salad as a side dish in an extra bowl on the plate, so you had the impression that you were trying to fill the plate. Unfortunately it is also very loud there, I've been there twice so far. So the rooms are not ideal. I probably wouldn't go there again...

My first time in Mido was a spontaneous lunch that left a very good impression on me. I had their grilled salmon. The portion was large considering the price and I half expected to get smaller portions for lunch. The fish was simply soft and juicy, garnished with lettuce and the vegetables were crunchy. The store was almost full and it really took a while to receive my order. Nevertheless, the service was okay

It was very tasty. The only drawback was that a few dishes were no longer available from the menu. But it's manageable for a Tuesday. If the service had been a little more on the ball, more drinks would certainly have been passed over the table. But the service was very polite and really personable. Thank you for the good food.

Great atmosphere, the wait was a bit long but when we sat down, the food came quickly and tasted really good and the service was very friendly, the prices were good and the potions were quite large

I’ve been there many times and the place is very good. Sushi is tasty and not too expensive, although sometimes fall apart. Service is okay, but they sometimes forget about you or decide themselves if you give them tips (just don’t give change up to 10 €). The atmosphere is pleasing and friendly :)

The food was very good. The wrong dish came but it was ok. A table was ordered and when we arrived it wasn't available. We had to wait. It was very crowded and narrow. We were asked if we would be ready in an hour. It was a company party. You want to linger a while. I have to say, I felt very pressured. You were barely finished when the plate was already gone. So I would never go there again. It wasn't comfortable. There was a big line of people in front of the shop and the waiters were always checking on us as if “when are they going to get up?” Something else is beautiful. It's a shame. After all, you're leaving money behind.

Super nice service! Beautiful atmosphere and design of the place. Quickly served dishes, we were brought our order of sushi and soup literally in 5 minutes! 😍 The serving itself is also very beautiful and unusual. Loved the service and friendliness of the waiter ☺️ Very satisfied!

Simply fantastic!! Be sure to order a table as it was very busy. It's quite narrow but that didn't bother us. I've never had my starter and main course so quickly. We only waited half an hour for our main course even though every table was occupied, big praise! The food was simply delicious, I haven't had such good sushi in a long time. Huge selection and many vegetarian options. Conclusion: Service and food simply great! Definitely again :)

Mido is an amazing Japanese restaurant with a fantastic selection of sushi and traditional dishes The atmosphere is classy and warm, creating a perfect dining experience. The staff are attentive, and the chicken katsu curry is a must try!

Fantastic restaurant with excellent food and great service. The dishes are fresh and prepared with a lot of love. The sushi variations and the warm dishes were particularly impressive. The ambience is stylish and inviting - you feel completely at home here. Highly recommended.

The food is really tasty, the portions are filling, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. The ambience is appealing, but it is far too narrow and therefore often noisy, which makes the atmosphere less relaxed and does not invite you to stay for a longer period of time. But if you don't have a problem cuddling with strangers, I can definitely recommend the restaurant.

This restaurant is a real insider tip! The dishes are simply delicious – a perfect harmony of tastes and aromas. The desserts are heavenly, you'll want to try everything! Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive staff - from the first minute you feel like a valued guest. The atmosphere is cozy and the presentation of the food is a real feast for the eyes. We'll definitely be back!

The food was good - fresh sushi/fish, but fell a little short of expectations - people had always spoken very highly of the place. Service was good. But the restaurant was extremely full (Saturday evening, perhaps that's why). I can recommend it, but it's more of a trend.

Good food, reservation recommended on weekends. Although it was very busy, we didn't have to wait long, the waiters were all very attentive. 5 stars

This is the third time I have visited the sushi restaurant and it is an absolute highlight every time! The quality of the sushi is truly outstanding – fresh, tasty and perfectly prepared. Here you can see that great importance is placed on the selection of ingredients and preparation. What I particularly like: You really get full! The portions are generous and the selection is varied, so there is something to suit every taste. No matter whether classic varieties or more unusual creations - everything is convincing across the board. For sushi lovers, this restaurant is an absolute must. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Very good food, especially the daily menu, and at an affordable price. Portions are large, so you won't leave hungry. I stop here almost every time I'm in Berlin. The only downside is that the service could be a little more attentive, but the food makes up for it.

Very authentic and delicious food. Amazing Kimchi salad - best one I have ever had. I asked for recipe but was told it was a family recipe, which is fair enough. I would eat it every day if I had it available. Most people come here for the sushi, which I am sure is splendid, but I would recommend you to try their dishes as well. Their beef teriyaki was exquisite. The seasoning of the veggies, combined with the beef that was perfectly prepared and cooked made it a very easy dish cooked to perfection.

A store to see and be seen for wannabe rich people. The food is ok but takes way too long and then some orders are forgotten. It takes a while until a waiter comes.

The food was really good. However, the pho soup arrived at the table much earlier than the sushi... it's a shame we couldn't start eating together!

The food was decent but nothing special or tastier than other places I have eaten at. The service is standard not exceptional friendly, just doing their job...the atmosphere is nice though. The interior decoration is very modern yet cozy.

It’s a pleasant establishment, “price equals quality, taste and surroundings,” but in my opinion there are questions with the service and quality of service.

The food was bland and tasteless. The salad came without dressing and wasn't washed properly, so the sand crunched between your teeth. The service was unfriendly even for Berlin standards. I was charged €2.50 for hot tap water!

I was there yesterday for my birthday, having made a reservation 2 weeks ago. Instead of greeting me in a friendly manner, the waiter directly said this table is only available for 2 hours, although I thought I would like to say welcome and also why is my time there limited if I make a reservation 2 weeks in advance: the service was slow, we had to in a loud voice to the waiter can you please come so that they even notice us. Orders are slow my girlfriend got her food very late and we were already finished. I would have expected a bit of interest, it was a birthday table (I think they weren't interested in sales) so we only stayed for 1.5 hours and got out. I'm sad and disappointed even though I've eaten there so many times. I won't go there anymore.

A Japanese place run by Vietnamese. The woman server is rude. They don’t bring water. When I asked, she shouted at me salmon is good. Too bad it’s stained by a bad server. Water finally came but I’ve finished dinner.

Ambience and service was great. Even though it was extremely busy with customers, the service staff had a lot of patience and were always friendly.

The quality has significantly gone down:-/ not fresh fish, even ginger is old. Very slow service and not so friendly. It used to be my favorite place but not again.

Mido has a very nice atmosphere. What's also worth visiting the restaurant is, the waiters were very friendly and competent, they exuded a certain calmness, which made a big difference and created a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately the food has lost quality, the previous mido was also worth going for the food. Jz is a good sushi shop that has unfortunately lost the wow effect. If you are looking for a decent sushi shop in Charlottenburg, mido is an option. Unfortunately it's not among the top sushi restaurants in Berlin for me. Price performance technically it is in a very good range. It's very easy to reach by public transport and Mido is also centrally located in Berlin, which makes it even better. You have to look for parking spaces, which unfortunately can take longer.

Food was okay. I had summer rolls and steamed dumplings. I found the summer rolls too expensive because they were thin. For almost €5 they are usually thicker. The waiters were nice and spoke German. You can also pay with a card, which is good.

Always felt very full and therefore very loud. However, we always got a table spontaneously. Everything is a little tight... The food is always beautifully prepared, but I don't get the aha effect when it comes to taste. Waiters always polite and nice... Ok for a short stay and a meal...

Amazing place with amazing service. The food was fantastic, lots of options and they all tasted really good and fresh. We shared the sushi menu 10 for 2 persons and had some sides with it. The drinks were also very tasty. But what made it a 10/10 for me was the amazing service! Would really recommend this place if you wanna eat at a beautiful restaurant with good quality food and service <3

This restaurant becomes a good option for people wanting to eat sushi, sashimi and overall commercial Japanese food with a menu that offers a variety of options including nice and well presented cocktails. The “smoke-show” is quite entertaining when the sushi arrives which makes it special. It tends to be packed of people, reservation in advanced is recommended and it can get quite quite noisy

One of the best Japanese cuisine restaurants in Berlin, they achieve the flavors very well. The service is somewhat distant but the rest is a spectacle, recommended.

I have rarely eaten so good and tasty. Since I was there with a few friends, we feasted our way through the various dishes. I love the kimchi and seaweed salad, edamame. the sushi creations are sensational. and last but not least the salmon. So clear recommendation 🙌
