Leckeren Kuchen und Leckeres Eis. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Wir hatten einen tollen Platz auf der Terrasse, welcher schon sehr schön eingedeckt war. Der Service und auch die tolle Empfehlung des Küchenchefs sind einzigartig und ein absolutes Alleinseinstellungsmerkmal. Immer wieder gerne.

Michaelis Team hat sehr zufrieden stellenden Service geliefert. Der Eisshake war super lecker und genau das, was man sich darunter vorstellt. Auch die Kugel Eis war super. Es hat sich angefühlt, als würde man tatsächlich in Italien Eis essen. Hassan war sehr aufgeschlossen und hilfsbereit. Komme immer wieder gerne. Danke!!!

Sehr schlechter Service, nie wieder

Wir waren mit einer kleinen Geburtstagsrunde da und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Reservierung online hat wunderbar geklappt. Wir hatten einen ruhigen Tisch und konnten uns gut unterhalten. Der Service war super, der für uns zuständige junge Mann war sehr freundlich und hat überhaupt keinen Druck gemacht, als wir meinten, wir bräuchten mal noch 5min. Ein kleines "Problem" mit einem Stück Torte (unsere Schuld!) wäre anstandslos gelöst worden. Leider hatten wir ein Stück bestellt, das aufgrund hochgradiger Allergie vom Gast nicht hätte gegessen werden können. Wir hatten uns allerdings vorher nicht informiert, dass zur Deko Mandeln genutzt werden. War eindeutig unser Fehler, aber man hat uns fair angeboten, dass Stück "umzutauschen". Da ich nicht wollte, dass es ggf. im Müll landet, hat es aber jemand anderes am Tisch einfach noch zusätzlich gegessen. Das Angebot fand ich aber wirklich nett. Die Servicekraft war flink und aufmerksam, aber zu keinem Zeitpunkt aufdringlich. Besonders anmerken möchte ich, dass es alle am Tisch sehr begeistert hat, dass der junge Mann extra nochmal an den Tisch kam und uns Gäste verabschiedet hat, nachdem ich vorne bezahlt hatte. Das hatten wir bisher in der Form noch nie so gehabt. Auch im Namen meiner Gäste möchte ich mich daher nochmal ausdrücklich für den wirklich schönen Nachmittag und die super Torten, die alle sehr lecker waren, bedanken.

Trotz Tischreservierung für 12 Personen kein Platz frei. Personal kümmert sich, ist jedoch bei großem Ansturm hoffnungslos überlastet.

Absolutes Lieblingslokal! Das Kaffeehaus Michaelis ist für mich die erste Adresse, wenn es um guten Kuchen und Kaffee geht. Die Auswahl ist riesig und man merkt einfach die Qualität. Mein persönliches Highlight: Der Windbeutel – eine absolute Empfehlung! Dazu kommt eine wirklich tolle Location mit Wohlfühl-Atmosphäre und ein super netter, aufmerksamer Service. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hier absolut top. Ich komme immer wieder gerne vorbei

Nettes Restaurant, sehr zentral gelegen, mit gutem Frühstücksangebot.

Das Essen und Zrinken ist gut, wird aber immer teurer. Ich möchte ja nicht das Cafe kaufen. Esfällt auf, dass das Personal immer schlechter deutsch spricht.

Das Essen war köstlich und raffiniert. Trotz der Vorwarnung des Küchenchefs, dass es zu Verzögerungen beim Servieren kommen könnte, wurden die Gerichte recht zügig serviert. Das Personal war höflich. Vielen Dank für den schönen Nachmittag.

Es ist wirklich ein sehr schönes Cafe / Restaurant, in dem man sich sehr wohlfühlen kann. Das einzige was ich anmerken ( nicht kritisieren!!! ) möchte ist, dass unser Kellner doch sehr , sehr überfordert war. Das liegt aber sicher daran, dass er sicher noch sehr unerfahren ist und alleine für das 1. OG zuständig war. Aber…die Übung macht den Meister👍

Essen hat eine sehr gute Qualität. Preis hat auch gepasst für Chemnitz innenstadt, das Personal war sehr freundlich. Hat mich an diesem Tag sogar 10 Minuten früher reingelassen, da es draußen echt bisschen kalt war. Sonst da ist da drin sehr schön aus. Und kann mir vorstellen, wenn dann noch jemand am Klavier sitzt. Ist das echt ein cooles Erlebnis. Bis zum nächsten mal

Wir waren zum Frühstück für 2 Personen,es hat an nichts gefehlt,Sekt,Käse,Wurst ,gekochtes Ei,viel Obst alles bestens,bei schönem Wetter ist im freien ein schöner Platz.Wir kommen gern wieder.

Wir waren zum Kaffee dort, mit einem Stück Kuchen und Eis. Essen ist lecker, Getränke auch okay. Preislich ist es wie überall. Mich stört das man ziemlich eng zusammen sitzt. So hört man genau was am Nachbartisch gesprochen wird. Etwas mehr Platz wäre vom Vorteil. Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam.

Waren zum wiederholten Male zum Kaffee dort. Waren sehr enttäuscht von den Preisen für die schmalen Tortenstücke. 5,90€ sind schon sehr stattlich. Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wir haben ein wunderbares Frühstück zu dritt genießen können. Das ausgewählte Frühstück war super und der Service hervorragend. Sehr angenehmes Ambiente mit Livemusik besonders stimmungsvoll. Und die Kuchen/Torten... sehr einladend und lecker 😋

Lohnt sich zum Brunch, freundlicher Service.

Wer ein gutes Kaffee sucht ist da genau richtig. Man kann sich entspannt unterhalten, die Bedienungen sind immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Angebotenen Speisen sind excelent. Absolut zu empfehlen wenn man Wert auf schönes Ambiente, freundliches Personal und perfektes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis legt.

Wir waren im Café Michaelis zum Frühstücken und ich muss sagen: Der Kellner Tommy, war der Wahnsinn! Schon beim Eintreten hat er uns die Tür aufgehalten, sehr freundlich. Hat unsere Kinder total lieb behandelt und sogar durch den Aufdruck des Namens auf dem Rucksack mit Namen angesprochen. Höflich nachgefragt, ob alles passt – einfach top Service. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Frühstück und Kuchenauswahl reichlich und lecker.

Man kann hier gut Kaffeetrinken. Für 5 EUR für ein Stück Torte/Kuchen bekommt nur sehr kleine Stücken, Preis-Leistung passt meines Erachtens deshalb nicht.

Leckere Torten und schneller Service. Leider bei der Menschen Menge die darin bedient wird sehr laut und voll vom Eindruck, eher überfüllt.

Wir waren zum Frühstück im Café Michaelis. Die freundliche Bedienung ist sogar extra los, um mir glutenfreies Brot zu besorgen. Dafür gibt's ein extra Sternchen 😃 Das Avocadobrot mit pochiertem Ei und Sauce Hollondaise war sehr lecker.

Super entspanntes Kaffeetrinken mit meiner Freundin. Das Essen und Trinken waren lecker, der Kellner war sehr freundlich, hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt und hatte immer einen guten Spruch auf den Lippen. Wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder :)

Wir waren schon mehrfach dort, waren aber dieses Mal äußerst enttäuscht vom Service. Es ging schon damit los, dass man 2 mal gefragt wurde, ob man auch ja reserviert hat, weil alles ausgebucht sei. Ausgebucht? Fehlanzeige! Das Restaurant war zur Hälfte belegt. Dann kam ständig der Kellner, was man essen möchte, da saßen wir noch keine 5 Minuten und hatten die Karten noch aufgeschlagen vor uns liegen. Als dann allerdings später (ca. ab 20:30Uhr) die Gläser leer waren, hat man niemanden gesehen und es wurde auch nicht nachgefragt, ob noch etwas gewünscht ist. Der junge Mann, welcher dann nur noch zugegen war, erschien gelangweilt und hörte auch nicht richtig zu. Sehr sehr schade!

Ein Café-Besuch, der geschmacklich begeistert: Die Torten-Auswahl ist außergewöhnlich und der Service ist sehr aufmerksam. ​Abzüge gibt es leider für die Atmosphäre und die Details: Die Klaviermusik war für einen entspannten Nachmittag zu laut. Besonders störend empfanden wir, dass zur Tasse Kaffee Kaffeesahne in billigen Plastik-Behältern gereicht wurde – ein echter Stilbruch, der dem Niveau der feinen Kuchen nicht gerecht wird.

Ich schätze die Atmosphäre des Kaffeehauses sehr. Es ist sehr gemütlich, die Bedienung ist ausgesprochen freundlich und wertschätzend und die sanften Pianoklänge im Hintergrund machen die Zeit zu einem entspannten Erlebnis.

Wir fühlen uns hier sehr wohl. Der Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Jeder hat auf der Speisekarte etwas für sich gefunden,das Essen wurde schnell serviert und hat wieder ausgezeichnet geschmeckt.Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Wir werden auch nächste Weihnachten wiederkommen. Danke an das gesamte Team.

Our family had a very pleasant time at the Michaelis. We enjoyed a family breakfast and were completely satisfied. Our requests were catered to, and the beautifully presented food was the icing on the cake. It was delicious, too! 😋 We gladly give it 5 stars; the staff truly deserves it.

Today, the boss invited the team to breakfast at Michaelis… There were 27 of us, the table was beautifully prepared, and breakfast was served quickly. The service was top-notch, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Fantastic – what more could you ask for? The whole team was thrilled – we'll definitely be back!

A lovely café with a great selection of cakes, pastries, and chocolates. They also offer specialty coffees. Savory dishes are available as well. There's ample space for events like birthdays. I'd gladly return.

The vegetarian breakfast is consistently a 10/10.

The perfect start to the weekend. Absolutely professional and warm service, excellent cuisine, and a lovely atmosphere. The way they handled special requests was exemplary and far exceeded expectations. The bar is set high, and at Michaelis, they apparently don't even need a running start to reach it. We look forward to our next visit.

A very pleasant atmosphere. A large selection of cakes, pastries, and cookies. It's a very comfortable place. With piano accompaniment.

I can't give a single star here, but I have to click one, otherwise it won't be published. Making a table reservation by phone wasn't possible. So we went there in person. We were greeted by a sign saying we'd be assigned a table. We've experienced all of this before. An arrogant, unfriendly man greeted us. Unfortunately, no tables were available; everything was reserved. How is that even possible? On the phone, we were told they don't reserve tables. There were at least five free tables downstairs. We were directed upstairs. There, we were assigned a table in a corner. Cramped, huge armchairs. Awful. Again, supposedly nothing else was available. We politely declined. For us, the concept of customer service is nonexistent here. You just feel like a nuisance. All in all, never again Michaelis.

The cake was good, the coffee a bit weak, and special requests couldn't be accommodated (like a second espresso shot in the latte). The service was very reserved/slightly unfriendly.

The poached eggs in the croissant were very good. Good coffee and friendly service.

There's no way around this café. Everything about it is just perfect. It's incredibly chic, sophisticated, and stylish. The drinks were excellent too.

Nice, friendly service, excellent breakfast selection, plentiful and varied... Fresh, varied fruit, a nice selection of cheeses and cold cuts, excellent rolls, and a sparkling glass of sparkling wine 🥂 I'd love to come back!!! Looking forward to the next time!

There were two of us at the restaurant, and it was excellent. The staff was unobtrusively attentive, very service-oriented and solution-driven (our table wasn't available despite our reservation), and very friendly and accommodating. The food was very, very good, and the prices were absolutely justified. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern. We will definitely come back and highly recommend a visit!

Great selection of cakes. However, it's unacceptable that when you receive your slice of cake and finish it 15 minutes later, your ordered drink arrives as well! The service could definitely improve.

A real coffee house seems to be becoming a rarity. The Michaelis Coffee House is a real coffee house, with delicious cakes and delicious coffee. I highly recommend it.

The food was very good, the meat cooked to perfection, and it was a very pleasant evening. Thank you very much, Mr. Wolf.

We managed to get a spot for 10 at short notice. The prices were high, but they offered a wide selection of delicious pastries and good drinks. There was live piano music.

Why doesn't this place let me think about what to order and read the menu? 🤣 In the five minutes I was there, I was asked three times what I wanted! I don't just show up with my order ready; they let me look around, read the menu, and check the prices. Honestly, the staff's insistence made me lose interest in staying. I got a piece of cake to go, which turned out to be unappealing, and left. Even though I really wanted to sit in a cozy café, in the warmth. I was also shocked by the huge difference, in my opinion, between the prices for dine-in and takeaway. A piece of cake is €3.70 to go, but eating in costs €5.90 👀

More outrageous prices in the east of Drutschland are hard to come by! 😱 A slice of cake costs €5.90. And if you take it with you, it's €3.90. Two euros for carrying it to the table. 🫣 The coffee prices rival those of Venice. But here you sit on rickety bar stools... GDR nostalgia that dreams of Austrian coffee house tradition... 🤭

For me, it's the best place to enjoy a nostalgic cup of coffee, relax, and indulge in the selection of cakes, gateaux, chocolates, and tarts. The sales culture is fantastic, with very friendly and helpful staff who have been here for years. Thanks to everyone who has been around!!!

Beautiful ambiance, exquisite cakes and pastries, and delicious food! I celebrated my birthday at Michaelis. We all felt very comfortable, and the service was excellent, even with special requests. The live piano music was also very nice. Thanks to the entire team, we'd love to come back :-)

The selection of the finest cakes and tarts is unmatched in its variety and flavor in the area. I particularly love the gooseberry meringue and the Carolatorte. But it's not just the cakes and tarts that impress. The savory dishes, such as the original Viennese veal schnitzel, au gratin veal ragout, beef tartare, or pasta with homemade pesto, are also impressive.

We love going to Michaelis for breakfast. We've always been greeted very warmly, and even during our meal, we've been asked repeatedly if everything's okay or if we need anything else. My only minor complaint was the spaghetti ice cream, which, for the price, tactically had a lot of cream and very little ice cream. I highly recommend the cake, though.

We were supposed to have coffee and enjoy a slice of cake last Saturday. However, looking at the display, we noticed that a large piece of the raspberry cake was moldy. After we pointed this out to the staff, there was no apology, and the staff simply cut off the moldy part and put the rest of the cake back in the display instead of immediately throwing it away – right in front of us. This is not only unhygienic, but also a health hazard, as mold penetrates the food and cannot be removed by cutting it away. After this incident, we naturally didn't order anything and left the café. Very disappointing and absolutely not recommended.

There were four of us, and we stopped by for coffee. We weren't greeted particularly warmly and felt more like a nuisance. The Lumumba we ordered was very watery and rather lukewarm. Not hot chocolate as advertised on the menu. Definitely not recommended.

Unfortunately, the customer service was poor. I had to wait several minutes to order. My latte macchiato with oat milk wasn't good, but the raspberry cake was delicious. The cakes are fresh and highly recommended. However, the customer service could be improved.

We were there today for a family breakfast. Luckily, we had pre-ordered two breakfast tiered stands, which were served promptly. We found nothing to complain about with the food. Everything you'd expect from a breakfast was there, and you could order according to your personal taste. The food was fresh, and the rolls and scrambled eggs were warm. However, the wait for other food and drinks was quite long. Therefore, we only had to deduct one star for the service. That doesn't mean, however, that the service was bad. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating.

We had breakfast at Michaelis. My husband had the Michaelis breakfast. The plate was quite simple, and the sausage was of poor quality. There were two thin, greasy slices of salami on it, and the other sausage wasn't any better. The tables were missing salt and pepper. However, since the wait staff only brought us breakfast and didn't come back to ask if everything was okay, we went looking for salt ourselves. The neighboring table, with other guests, then also borrowed the salt from us. My husband would have liked another drink. No one asked if we wanted another. No one came to pay, even though we had already finished eating 20 minutes ago. We went ahead to pay. When my husband said the sausage wasn't tasty, he just said "sorry" instead of offering a discount or at least a voucher. Next time we'll have breakfast somewhere else.

Lovely ambience, delicious cakes and quick, attentive service.

We had breakfast at Michaelis today, and it was simply terrible. The quality has declined significantly in recent years, but after today, it reached a low point. The food was poorly prepared, the egg cold. The person in charge seemed annoyed, and when the chef walked past the guests every five minutes to smoke a cigarette in front of the restaurant, that said a lot. I don't recommend a visit.

This is a must-visit when visiting Chemnitz. Everything is freshly prepared with love. The chef himself explained the menu to us and didn't overpromise. Our visit was just as impressive, and we'll definitely be back.

The service is terrible. Coffee and cappuccino took 45 minutes. Everything was cold.

The food is delicious, and the ice cream and cake were truly amazing. However, the service is clearly overwhelmed, which affects the atmosphere! Perhaps the team could practice a bit more to improve the service. Nevertheless, I would go back if the food stays this good.

The two of us were here on Saturday evening. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our table. The drinks arrived quickly, as did the food we ordered. We'd love to come back 🙋🏻‍♀️

Super delicious breakfast, friendly service and great atmosphere.

A relatively large, yet cozy coffee house with indoor and outdoor seating. There's a wide selection of cakes and coffees. The service staff, while attentive, seems very reserved and cold.

We ordered a cocktail and wanted a glass of tap water with it. It's common practice in Austria. They charged €2.80 each for two 0.2-liter glasses (the same price as mineral water). I would have understood if they charged a euro for washing the glasses, but this is a disgrace.

I was disappointed with breakfast. Even though it was a weekday, there were baked rolls. The cheese and sausage were nothing special. The products were simply too cheap for the price.

We spontaneously stopped by on a Saturday morning and were lucky enough to get a nice table. The breakfast is highly recommended. We had the large tiered stand for four people, and it was very filling, with lots of fruit, salmon, cheese, ham, and eggs. The staff were super pleasant and attentive without being intrusive, and they always had time for a quick chat. When the weather is nice, there are plenty of outdoor seating areas. Highly recommended.

We wanted to stop by for a quick afternoon snack. We looked around at the kitchen counter. My eyes widened. A slice of cake for €6 (€2.90 on the street) is pretty steep, especially since I remember the size from my last visit. They cut at least four slices from a quarter here. You can imagine what you get for €6. The selection has shrunk considerably, in my opinion, even compared to my last visits. There was a sign on the counter telling you to sit down and be served. We did so. Unfortunately, we waited about 10 minutes in vain for service. That was too much for us, and we left the table outside. I've known this coffee house for a few years now, but I can't say whether I'll visit again. What a shame!

We went there for breakfast today. On their website, it was €32.90 for two people, but the menu was €36.90. The sausage selection was the same as for two slices of salami. Four slices of cheese and one block of butter for two rolls. The rest of the menu was fine. The lovely ambiance and friendly service made up for a lot. But having to pay an extra €3 for two butter rolls was a bit harsh. If we like it, it doesn't matter how much it costs. But unfortunately, this breakfast didn't offer value for money at all.

I highly recommend this coffee house. We had an event at Kosmos and received a warm welcome. In the end, both the owners and we were very satisfied. Especially us, since we were given the opportunity to use the space here. Thanks again to the entire Michaelis team. We'd be happy to come back anytime.

One of the better places for breakfast, lunch or diner. Friendly staff.

The service was great, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The sundaes are huge and delicious.

We love coming here — food is consistently good and it’s such a good cafe to come with children! They have an amazing mini-play area for kids including a kitchen, stroller, dolls, etc., and are so tolerant when kids are just being kids. I can also totally recommend their poached eggs and avocado with hollandaise sauce, it is my go-to whenever we go 🤤

Very friendly, delicious and great offer

We wanted to buy ice cream to go during the Hat Festival, but a vendor was very rude and yelled at us and kicked us out. The same goes for the other families before and after us. If you're overwhelmed with customers, you can always just politely say that there's no takeaway today. But for now, I'll be avoiding the Michaelmas market. PS: Buono is 100 meters away. They also serve ice cream, and they were nice to families despite the rush for the Hat Festival.

Service and friendliness are unaccustomed to. In summer temperatures, you stand in line for ice cream with a 3-year-old child, only to be told in the middle of the afternoon that they're no longer selling ice cream. I hope they never complain about how bad business is.

We went for Christmas dinner, everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Our request (no meat) was well-received.

Leider Gottes gibt es viel zu selten Köche die sich mit dieser Hingabe um das Essen kümmern. Da merkt man dass es dem Koch Spaß macht zu kochen und er das nicht nur tut um Geld zu verdienen. Die Kreationen aus der Küche sind ein Genuss nicht nur für den Gaumen.

Nice and friendly, staff is very nice and you receive friendly service. Been there again after a long time and what can I say, the service is perfect all around and you feel comfortable.
