A great idea with the Greek tapas. The portions and courses are sufficient and very large, we gave up after the third round because we were so full. Very friendly staff.

We were in Hamburg at the weekend and were looking for a Greek restaurant. According to the overall rating, we went there but unfortunately the selection was a disappointment, so we are more used to the selection and what is on the menu is available as a starter in NRW .

One of my favorite Greeks... It's always delicious to try your way through the mezedes. Unfortunately, the price has also increased here over the years... but the quality is good and in the end you roll out again :)

Seems like a tourist trap to me. The food was plentiful, as we could have reordered again and again with the variant we chose. But we don't have it! The quality wasn't such that you necessarily wanted more. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Seemed somehow casual and like convenience food, from the refrigerator to the microwave to the table. The service was a disappointment. Always tried hard to find the right wording. So like the food, not really bad, but not good either. And a real disappointment is the wine list or the wine. That was now the very bottom shelf. Bottled too young and tasted like the rest, not really bad, but not good either. In summary, this is the right shop if you need to feed your tired but very hungry and undemanding relatives. Otherwise not!

Couldn’t say any more than this is a superb location to eat. I spotted it in the corner of the square and as I got closer it was the only restaurant that was packed. The food was fantastic and very reasonable, I had calamari and taszkati to start with beef Souvlaki for main,

The all-you-can-est tapas offer is recommended to everyone. High quality, delicious Greek tapas. Each round has a component with meat, fish, cheese and vegetables. With each new round it was reported which dish was served. Even if the noise level was a bit louder and more boisterous, something was done decoratively to counteract the volume spread without making it stand out unpleasantly. We went home full and happy and will definitely come back again.

An absolute recommendation, we were there yesterday and ate Greek tapas. Great concept, you can eat as much as you want for a fixed price and get to know many of the specialties of Greek cuisine. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the gyros 😂

There were 9 of us, we all had Greek tapas a-y-c-e. The food is very tasty, well seasoned and prepared. The selection in the first course was very varied, the second course came very quickly and was also tasty and varied. We were actually already full by then, but unfortunately the third course was too filling. I would have liked it to be briefly announced before the 3rd course what kind of food would follow and the question of the level of satiety and the amount served would be reduced. So again everything came in tapas x 9 portions and an awful lot wasn't eaten. This amount of food being destroyed is simply no longer appropriate. Therefore only 3 stars for the food! Even though it was delicious, I wouldn't eat there again! Due to the volume, not everyone at the table could have a conversation, 4 stars

Little choice but very tasty and large portions, fast service

Disappointing In Greece, Mezedes are originally offered with a drink... Here, small portions of appetizers and main dishes are served. Whilst the concept is not bad, the dishes were not to my liking and some of them were not even Greek ☹️ The restaurant was very crowded, so it was too noisy to have a decent conversation. Service was ok, waiters were friendly

I was lucky to get a table. The place was packed. Quiet music in the background. Servers are constantly running. Ordered fast and got the food fast. And...it was very salty. Shrimps were fresh, beef was ok, salad was good, potatoes overcooked. But everything sooo salty. I couldnt taste the food really. So if you are a fan of salt- that's the place for you.

Beautiful Greek restaurant with delicious food in a cozy, modern atmosphere. The service is sometimes a bit quick and there are sometimes misunderstandings, but it is still friendly. Recommended!

Super essen, all you can eat style

Greek food rather average, location very loud and narrow. The staff seemed very shy to me. One had the feeling that the staff somehow wanted to avoid continuing to serve (all you can eat). This makes you feel more disengaged. Have you ever experienced a good host who hesitates to refill?

The positive reviews had us looking forward to a great meal, but the all-you-can-eat menu left us disappointed. The food was fine, but nothing remarkable. On the plus side, it's reasonably priced. The staff is attentive, though a bit overly familiar—friendly... they could maintain more professionalism.

We only ordered vegetarian starters, some of which were delicious. However, you should also be really hungry, because asking 55 euros for a little salad, vegetables and some cheese for two people is a bit cheeky. The service is very nice and attentive. However, as others have mentioned, the food comes way too quickly. You feel a bit rushed. We sat in the back area, where every inch is used to set up tables. In order for the waiter to even get through to us, the lady at the next table had to get up every time. Increases the operator's profit, but clearly comes at the expense of the atmosphere and comfort. Just too loud and too crowded. The food is okay, but we have eaten much better in other Greek restaurants. We left the tarama behind, it was really not good, the tzatziki was very sour and not enjoyable either. Conclusion: Greek fast food restaurant at a slightly higher (price) level. Prices are too high or outrageous for the only vegetarian starters. It's better to go back to the tried and tested Greek restaurant around the corner, where we are still welcome after 2 hours and don't have to clear the table.

A Greek restaurant without gyros. This is unusual, but Greek dishes are diverse. An opportunity to try something different from Greece. The best thing was the all you can eat buffet for two or more people. Small dishes are served. Never the same. That's a good thing. You get to know a lot of new dishes that you wouldn't have gotten to know otherwise.

10 out of 10. I had dinner with my girlfriends yesterday and it was great. The food was great. The service was super attentive and the price-performance ratio was absolutely right. Thank you for the great evening

Greek tapas very tasty and something different.

The food was simply great. The service is great.

If you like to try different sorts of Greek foods and have a stomach fitting for a Buffet then this is your place to be 🥲😋😂 Almost all the foods they served are delicious and every new round of foods they are giving are always different, so you will never have to eat the same food. Really love the concept! 👌🏼 What I only don't like is that we are forced to leave after 2 hours since guests are already waiting to take our seats, although we told them that we are just waiting for someone still in the toilet. So if you like to stay longer than 2 hours and have more time chatting with your companions then don't go here because you really need to go out. Also it is annoyingly loud there when it's full. Since I find the tables quite close to each other, so you basically have to shout if you wanna talk with someone.

Delicious, a lot on the plate, delicious drinks, very nice staff. We had a great table (inside, right by the window), so no street noise and still a clear view of what was happening. Gladly again. Addendum, August 2024: Making sales is the new buzzword. Just clearance. The food was borderline poor, the plates were first dragged through the neighbor's tzatziki when served. When criticism was expressed there was only a bored “thank you”. We don't need THAT again. How can you slack off like that in two years?

The food was very good. The waitresses seem to be quite busy. Some of them were friendly and attentive.

We ate at the restaurant on Großneumarkt and were absolutely disappointed. We opted for the all you can eat. The first course was disappointing, the bread tasted old and wasn't warm or crispy. The tzatziki wasn't good either for a Greek restaurant. For veggies there were all kinds of potatoes and salad. It really wasn't good and way too expensive. We won't be coming back. No recommendation. The atmosphere wasn't comfortable either, the music was way too loud. And the service was okay, but when we complained, they weren't as friendly anymore. What a shame!!

This place is great to go with a group and just keep eating! It's a non stop appearance of little dish after little dish, and they are all delicious! I definitely recommend it!! It's a lot of fun.

The starters were very tasty, but the main courses (chicken breast salad and chicken souflaki) were unfortunately not convincing in terms of taste. But it was quite expensive. Ambience was nice, but it was quite cramped, loud (especially the music was too loud) and very cool. The service was attentive, but the dishes came too quickly one after the other, so there was hardly enough space on the table.

Simply amazing! We can only agree with the words of the previous speakers. The Mezedes are awesome. Only recommended. The one star deduction is solely because of the air inside the restaurant. We had a mega full day. The food and the service were still great, but the air was not great due to the number of people present. But sitting outside is no longer an option. We'll definitely be back.

The ambience was very noisy and congested. The many dishes which were supposed to be served hot like calamari, sardinenfish and aubergine were cold. Rest mainly were salable which was average. I am wondering how people gave it 5 stars. I would say it was average.

This is pound for pound one of the best dining experiences of my life. I love the concept and the food. The service was immaculate and the only thing I could possibly remark, is that this restaurant is sadly 422 km from where I live.

The staff was very friendly. We were there spontaneously with the whole family and got a table straight away. The food was delicious. I had perfectly grilled chicken skewers served with crispy fries and a creamy sauce. A simple dish that was completely convincing both in terms of taste and appearance.

One of my all time favorite places in hamburg Order the rind souvlaki with fries.. they have a very tasty white cabbage salad that comes as an appetizer .. the souvlaki is perfectly spiced and cooked and the tsasiki that comes with it is just perfect.. if your into ordering something else you cant go wrong with the feta saganaki and beetroot salad

The food was very good and there was enough, there were also many vegetarian plates. In the evening it gets relatively crowded and therefore a little louder.

The food and ambience were very nice and I highly recommend. Due to the full attendance and frequent servings of tapas the restaurant sounded very noisy so if you are someone who likes quieter environment you may not like the atmosphere!

The concept is interesting, even for non-all-you-can-eat fans. I was there 3 hours ago and I'm still bursting... well, it's my own fault! If I ever find myself in Hamburg again, I'll still come back!

A nice place with great appetizers.

Excellent quality of the food. Nice, modern atmosphere. Great concept that Greek delicacies are always available to share all you can eat. However, one point deducted; because out of our 8 people, 2 got chicken legs because they said from the start that they don't eat pork. When these looked so good and were ordered for the others, this caused major discussions with 2 waiters. I found this to be petty. Overall, happy again.

Greek tapas eaten here costs €27.50 per person. There are several dishes in a row. The entire menu and more are supposed to come, but we didn't manage to do that. Staff very friendly and quick service. We found that they served the food almost too quickly. So that we could hardly eat the hot dishes warm. Price performance is very good. If they had waited a bit before serving the two menu items then it would have been 5 stars. We ate here twice and it was delicious.

Since I was able to get to know Crete and the incredibly delicious cuisine there in 2021, I have only rarely visited Greek restaurants in Germany because they rarely come close to the standard there. So I had my doubts before visiting Mezedes, but they ultimately turned out to be unfounded because Mezedes offers authentic Greek dishes that are on a par with the quality of the restaurants on Crete. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is attentive, although occasionally we had to wait a little longer.

Canteen charm..... as soon as the starters were on the table, the main courses arrived two minutes later. You had the feeling that you were watching you eat and disappear. The meat dishes bifteki and chicken souvlaki were so over-seasoned that we had to return the food... unfortunately the replacement delivery was the same... we then gave up. The staff was attentive... almost a little over the top. The starter was delicious. So, unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Great food good price performance ratio

The place itself isn't bad, unfortunately the service was very slow and the staff didn't speak a word of English. The sore point of the evening was the menu, very limited and without essential dishes such as octopus and mussaka. The food itself was good but I wouldn't recommend it.

Although the food was acceptable and portions were decent, the staff didn’t know a single English word and they were not too kind with us. It disnt feel like a Greek cousins at all as key dishes were missing. Prices are definitely too high, I cannot accept to pay 1/2 L of water 6 euros ! I do not understand where all the 5 stars come from. We will not come back.

It was my first time eating Greek tapas and I was really blown away. Super tasty, nice service and a great selection of food and drinks.

Just now, Monday at 7 p.m. as a guest at a table for four outside, I was directed to the inside area when asked how many more people were coming. You would want to keep the tables free for groups. You don't seem to need it anymore. I politely declined. There are plenty of alternatives in the immediate vicinity. Addition: Unfortunately, the owner's comment is not true. You don't seem to be particularly capable of criticism. One of the two waitresses present in the outdoor area, which can be described as clear with 10-12 tables, clearly signaled that I should sit down. Only after he came back 5-10 minutes later to set the table was I directed inside. By the way, there were no guests in sight on that Monday evening, which is why I thankfully decided not to go. So much on the subject of four-person tables would not have been available. The truth is obviously not taken too seriously here.

Gelungenes Geschäftsessen! Das Angebot hat wie letztes Mal total überzeugt. Mein Geschäftspartner der Hamburg zum ersten Mal besuchte hat betont, dass das Dinner einmalig war und er Hamburg und das Restaurant gerne auch privat besuchen möchte.

Pure disappointment. The food looks very good in the photos, but unfortunately the taste was not convincing. We had the impression that only finished products were used. Service was attentive.
