I just wanted to eat, the tables were full of dirty plates from customers who had left. I moved aside and sat down, we started to wait. No one came, then the waiter came, I wanted to talk to him, but he walked away, looking at the empty tables, I think he was afraid that I would eat something, so I got up without saying anything, no one asked, no one cares, I won't go anymore, you don't need to go, they don't give food, they leave you hungry.

Guys, you should understand that the coke has been made smaller and it is 2.50 Euros. I visit every place because of my job but this place is a direct rip off. They charged me 6 Euros for a little soup. The mixed grill is the worst I have ever seen and the variety is limited. I do not comment on anything easily but I think the situation is far from mediocre.

The place is clean, but the portions are a joke. 20 euros for a plate with practically nothing on it: 5 pieces of meat, 5 fries, and a salad without oil and completely dry. The ayran tasted awful; you could really tell it was just a really bad yogurt. The staff are friendly but extremely annoying. I came in, sat down, and the woman gave us the menu. After a minute, she came back and asked what we wanted. I politely asked her to give me 5 minutes. Then she came back after 30 seconds, and this happened 3-4 times. I wanted to leave because they were putting me under so much pressure. And then the woman thought it was hilarious. So, never again, sorry. You really need to rethink your prices. It's a joke. A full plate is okay, but not an empty one.

We had a delicious meal. A delicious chicken soup for the starter. An Adana kebab for the main course, and a delicious Turkish tea to finish!

Outrageous prices and a tiny box! €14 for a "large" doner kebab plate, and the employee gives you a small one??? The box is much smaller than the competition's, and the price is €4 higher. Two slices of cucumber and tomato, a forkful of lettuce, and a few onions. The vegetables weren't fresh anymore. The taste isn't any better than the competition's. Never again!

You don't deserve the name Mevlana at all. I was sick and asked the waitress from Muş for a glass of tea. She said, "We don't serve tea outside." I said I could bring a glass, but she just said, "Unfortunately, we don't serve tea outside," and sent me away. I can't say anything bad about the food; it's truly delicious. But mercy is also a very beautiful thing. Mercy is a blessing. Allah bless you.

A disaster! Please pay attention to your employees and at least teach them that the meat should only be cut from the spit when it's ready. I only had raw chicken in my bread. I realize you don't have trained chefs at your spit, but even a car mechanic can be taught when meat is crispy and cooked. In my case, everything immediately went in the trash. Once and never again!

Everything is great, you can eat well

I wanted the Kelle Paça soup without garlic, but unfortunately, I was served the soup with garlic. The gentleman who waited on me was very polite and had a pleasant demeanor. I hope the minor errors will be corrected. I tried kunefe for dessert. It didn't look very appealing, but after tasting it, I realized I had eaten truly excellent kunefe.

I've been going to the shop since it first opened under Adem and knew every owner on a first-name basis. The shop deteriorated and became more expensive with each change of ownership. Unfortunately, today, only the restaurant's good name remains. A €5 pide with cheese currently costs €9, a Dürüm doner kebab costs €8. My wife wanted half a cheese pide and half a pide with pieces of meat (regular price €11). Half a 9 and half an 11 should be €10. Not here; here you pay €12 for a 'mixed pide'. However, you couldn't order that on the menu, and you couldn't change it in the system either. Last time I was here. Addendum: I'm sorry, K. Bakmayin. I'm a kasarli aliyorum, I'm a kusbasili. 9 € olan kasarli, 11€ olan kusbasili nasil hesapta karisinca 12€ oluyor. Etin 100% pahalanmasi ile ne alakasi var, hesap ve mantik hatasi var. Kimse bana gelip 'isciligi daha yüksek' demesin, buna anca gülünür. Burada yanlis hesaptan dolayi özür diliyeceginize, kusuru bizde ariyorsunuz. Inanin son kez geldik ve senelerdir geliyorduk mekaniniza.

We had lamb and chicken chops at Mevlana Ocakbaşı; both flavors were truly wonderful. The consistency, flavor and presentation of the meat was very meticulous. The service was extremely attentive and friendly, we felt very comfortable. I can say that it was more than worth the price we paid. We would like to thank Mevlana Ocakbaşı wholeheartedly for both the quality of the food and the sincere service.

It was my first time in a Turkish restaurant - and I was completely pleasantly surprised! The food was incredibly tasty, very fresh, well prepared and the portions were generous. The selection on the menu is large and varied. I particularly liked the free greeting from the kitchen – very tasty! The ambience is also very inviting and tastefully designed, you immediately feel at home. The music was a bit too loud for my taste, but that's easy to ignore given the overall impression. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. At the end there was even a free chai and a hand disinfectant with a lemon balm scent - unusual but really pleasant! I'll definitely be back!

Hello Ms. Gamze, I am working as a master at Mevlana. You came and ordered two kebabs and told the waiter that the meat was missing. I will come to your table and explain to you how much meat was in the kebab. Then, when the cash register was coming, you said, "The meats were not cooked." If the meats were not cooked, why did you eat them? You did not mind eating them. If you remember, I did not buy it from you at Hasap.

We have been there several times. Be it drinking soup in the morning or eating in the afternoon. Everything was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. We'll be back 😊

Since the Dilan Grill still doesn't offer card payment, I paid on April 1st. first time eating here...it was so good that I went there on April 4th. came again. Today on April 14th the 3rd time. I ate a beyti three times on site. With a small Cola Zero totaling €22.50 plus tip. Conclusion: Very tasty, beautifully presented main course with salad, dips and bread / well-kept atmosphere / payment by card / tea on the house after the meal was offered / very friendly waiter who asked several times whether I was satisfied and whether I would like anything else. I will now come regularly as I no longer felt so strange today. Soon I'll be bringing my husband with me, who also likes to try out restaurants. I rate "only" 5 stars because there are no 10❤️❤️❤️ When in town, we definitely visit! Everything is incredibly delicious, all the staff are very polite and smiling! If you have a way to Duisburg, you must visit the restaurant!

The service is very friendly and committed 🤵🏻‍♂️ the food is delicious and freshly prepared from the open kitchen. There is an Ayran machine in the guest room. But we can't say anything about that because we're not Ayran fans 😅 Beforehand you get warm flatbread 🫓 and pastes 🌶️ on the house. The meat had a really good grilled taste 🔥🍗

It offers a complete feast with its carefully prepared kebabs and rich appetizers, where you can feel the real Ocakbaşı flavor in every bite. Normally bustling Turkish restaurant with friendly and informative service. We all enjoyed the food.

I was there with my family and have never seen anything like it anywhere else. We ordered kuzu kaburga, saw it in the display case when we went in and specifically asked if they had it. We were told yes we have it because we saw it too and there was no one in the store in front of us. We all ordered and the appetizers arrived. After almost 15 minutes the waiter didn't come, but sent someone else who told us that kuzu Kaburga was suddenly sold out, which couldn't be right. It was given at a table who came after us and are most likely acquaintances or friends of them. I find something like that very outrageous and anti-social, so I'll never go there again. Ridiculously I just can't say anything more about it.

8€ for a small kebab and 5€ for a lahmacun only with salad. There is no pepperoni. We were looking for sheep's cheese. There was too little sauce and everything was cold. We don't have to have it again.

If I didn't have money, what would I do in a restaurant? Prices are written on the menu. If it was expensive, I would get up. Don't misinform people who read comments here. WE STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! Although we first preferred this place for its delicious food, we experienced that the quality decreased with each visit and customer satisfaction was disregarded. We were very embarrassed, especially when we went with our guests, due to the attitudes of "some" staff working here (not the waiters!). Although we talked to the business owner about these situations, which we do not consider appropriate to the understanding of tradesmanship, we decided not to go to this place anymore (many feedbacks were inconclusive). As an exception, we saw that the same problems continued during the times we spent with our friends and relatives who took us there. Especially when we wanted to host our family coming from abroad here with a few other families, it was completely unacceptable to reduce the amount/portion of meat on the mixed grill! But according to the business owner and his employees, this was because they served groups this way (even though you pay the full price, you have to accept that the portion gets smaller in the crowd). On our last visit, our guest could not finish the meal due to the disgusting oily and different smell of Adana kebab, and this smell/taste was a bad quality that we experienced for the first time (even though Adana kebab was our favorite dish in the past!) In addition, orders placed over the phone are often misperceived and the customer is blamed. The contradictions regarding the price policy / the fact that the meals are more expensive than many other restaurants and the aim of making money from even the smallest things in spite of customer satisfaction are not unique to this business; on the contrary, we see that dozens of customers have given up on these businesses due to the same concerns in many Turkish businesses. We did not feel the need to write as we knew that explaining our experiences in more detail could not be considered "self-criticism" by the business owners (from the responses given to other customers' comments). But we STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND you to go and experience it yourself!

I would like to share our first and last experience with you. We ordered the mixed grill, the Adana kebab on the grill smelled like grease. Of course, lamb meat has a meat-specific smell, but this was a different smell you know. The salad plate that came with the meal, which had a portion price of 25€, was ridiculously small. I definitely do not recommend it.

Everything great , Apart from the small ketchup and mayo sachets, just put a large bottle on the table or a small plate with some of the sachets before you annoy the waiter with them every time or have to interrupt your meal to say it again because of the demand Can I still have a sachet of ketchup, or should I bring my own bottle the next time I eat 🤔 Otherwise highly recommended, I've been there many times

The Mevlana restaurant has very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The food was ok, but unfortunately the portions are comparatively small despite the higher price than the competition. That's why only the 3 stars.

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received here. From the moment I walked in I felt completely unwelcome. The staff were rude and disrespectful and there was clearly a clear bias against women. This went beyond just bad service; It was personal and extremely unprofessional. The food was equally disappointing. It was unevenly prepared, tasteless and clearly made without care or attention. Considering the prices I expected much better quality, but I regret choosing to eat here. My questions and requests were either ignored or dismissed with arrogance, while I witnessed male customers being treated much more politely. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable in the service industry. Other than that, the overall service was an absolute disgrace: long waiting times, unclear communication and a complete unwillingness to resolve problems. The entire experience was uncomfortable and frustrating; I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If this is the standard way this business operates, I would highly recommend they invest in training and awareness programs to address their toxic and discriminatory culture. Until then I will never come here again and recommend others stay away too.

Just great! Very tasty and fresh food. The portions were huge. The service was also very friendly. You get free bread with dips and a Cay, totally hospitable. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and you can have a good conversation. Clear recommendation, we'll be back!

I think the döner kebab is the best in Duisburg, I deduct points for the service because a cola that costs 2 or 2.5 euros should not be 200 ml.

Another inconsistency is the lack of salad other than pita and lahmacun. Small sachets of sauce also cost money. Thinking only about money should not be a restaurant's principle.

Friendly staff, delicious food, nice rustic atmosphere... I like eating there. Prices are not that high either, so affordable for everyone... a large and upscale (mixed grill plate, generous) meal/person. 25€ (drink included). I can recommend it. I will continue to visit the store.

Most arrogant service ever. Update Sep 19, 2024: A young lady served me at the checkout and pre-ordered. She was very rude and loud to me and couldn't explain to me how the price came about. She said to me it doesn't matter what I typed, it's true. I even threatened her that I wouldn't want the food anymore because I took it for my hungry family.

We waited for 10 minutes and even took the menu ourselves from the next table. Even though we were passed by so many times, no one paid attention and we had to get up without eating. I don't know about the food, but the interest is a HUGE ZERO!!!

Their chicken soup was definitely my favourite, it was excellent, their künefe is legendary and their kebabs are also good, but I don't recommend the döner.

Today we ordered an Adana and a Kuzuşiş Dürüm. Both had everything in them except meat. What was there was partly raw. Ayran was okay. According to the employee, both Dürüms are always occupied like this by default. This means that something should urgently change in the “standards”.

The service was a disaster, and calling the store MEVLANA and having a RÌESIEGES PRAYER HOUSE in the room and still selling COCACOLA PRODUCTS is a DOUBLE MORAL for us. Unfortunately disappointing because of that

Duisburg is one of the nice places where you can eat meat products. Taste and staff service are good. Bon appetit in advance.

So really the stupidest employees in the store, pouring hot soup in front of a little baby, of course the baby touches it because it's still a baby!!! Hot soup falls on the child and now causes severe burns forever, really not recommended to anyone if you want to protect your family, this waitress deserves a few years in prison for this stupidity!

After the change of ownership, the service unfortunately decreased, e.g. no more starters.

We ordered and picked up 13 kebab pockets and 2 pommdöner. All 13 kebab pockets were incorrectly filled. Some had hardly any meat in them, others only had meat without salad. I called to clarify this over the phone. A gentleman was on the phone who said: Wait a minute, Ibo Ibo, put the receiver down and then said: “No, he says he did everything just like that” Zero ability to criticize, no apology, no real communication! NEVER AGAIN!!! I definitely don't recommend it!

Menus an Ramadan sehr reichvoll und alles sehr lecker. They have very nice Ramadan menus, full of them. The meat is delicious and it's a great place to go with your family. There is nothing to say about the service, everyone is friendly anyway. Personal sehr freundlich. :)

Very nice service and we were served straight away, unfortunately we had to leave the table where we were already sitting. A table was reserved for 8 people, but by the time we left the store no guests had occupied the table. This is the place we came from out of town with my wife and children and found it by chance. We would like to thank Ms. Funda for her interest and sincerity. We liked them, they are friendly, warm and sincere, I definitely recommend them, come and bring them.

Price performance is not right. The portions are very small and everything is so hectic. You would like to eat in peace. Hygiene is not necessarily a priority either. I noticed how one of the employees had his finger in the cup when he wanted to pour soup. I wouldn't have eaten this soup with my finger in the cup.

The food available for pickup is superbly packaged and appetizingly prepared. The restaurant is cleanly maintained. The staff has a decent, friendly demeanor.
