Very good service with a very good sense of humor! Always happy again

The best ramen of my life, great and fast service (hats off to the lady who felt like she ran the place single-handedly and was still open to every question) and a great atmosphere. Definitely a culinary upgrade for all of Milbertshofen!

I have eaten at Menya Ikko twice and will not go again. The ramen was disappointing: the broth was way too salty, the corn was obviously canned, and the eggs were cold. I ordered the vegetarian version and cold potatoes were served instead of meat. Overall the dish looked cheap, which is not ok considering the price ranges from 17 to over 20 euros per portion. The service was OK, but that couldn't make up for the poor quality of the food. We wanted to order sushi as an appetizer, which was on the menu, but we were told it wasn't available because the chef wasn't there. This was irritating and left us wondering who made our ramen then. The ambience is okay, but the men's toilet was broken on both visits. The price-performance ratio is not right for me at all. In comparison, I recently ate ramen in Hamburg, which was in a completely different league - a great experience with lower prices, a larger selection and top service (MOMO Ramen, highly recommended.) I can see the many positive reviews for Menya Ikko I personally don't understand it. For me it is definitely not the "best ramen in Munich and the surrounding area" as the restaurant claims in its advertising.

It‘s been almost three years we eat regularly here. We tried once in Augsburg and already fell in love with the authentic Ramen. It is so good that the shop moved to Munich where we live. Lots of people shared about their best Munich Ramen already so I am not going to repeat. We tried the Sukiyaki for the first time last Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. It was really good. The soup with a thick seaweed for cooking match perfectly with the fine slices of Entrecôte. The egg’s dipping gave the cooked food a silky touch. The plate of vegetables, Konjac and Tofu was displayed so nice that your appetite will just shot up. The set came with a homemade Kimchi as appetizer. Each person has a miso soup and a rice. Our tummies were so full and satisfied afterwards. The price is reasonable. One day ahead reservations is needed.

Absolute insider tip for ramen. Extremely friendly team, cozy atmosphere and above all fantastic ramen. You can always get a place for two people, even without a reservation. I recommend the Tan Tan Men with peanut!

1. We had to wait several minutes for someone to come, even though there were already seated guests present 2. The waitress took our order, but the chef had to take all the orders again, no sign of the waitress (I think she only came back later) 3. Food really could have been warmer 4. Food wasn't good, some of the noodles were sticky, the broth wasn't seasoned well and wasn't balanced, and the minced meat didn't taste good either 5. The waitress messed up the order at the neighboring table. They ordered vegetarian ramen and the waitress wanted to give them normal ramen. They then had to explain again in detail what they ordered. (I also read in another comment that they don't offer vegetarian broth...) 6. Much too cold, the heating in the toilet was off and the window was tilted. We sat inside with jackets on. But that could be because the temperatures have only just dropped; this can happen if the landlord hasn't turned on the heaters yet. Only the karage as a starter was quite good, but unfortunately the ramen wasn't any more so

Special Miso Ramen and Ikko Special Ramen were top. These are authentic noodles from Sapporo Japan. Very fresh and tastes great. Service was friendly and helpful. Ambiance was cozy. This is the best ramen in Munich. Recommend!!!

Chicken w Mayo: 11/10 Ramen: 9/10 The minced meet was a still a bit cold when served but after stirring it was good and warm. Atmosphere: 8/10 they had weird techno playlist at the beginning kinda random. Not crowded at all!! Staff: 10/10 Super nice!

We had 3 different ramen and a portion of kimchi. I think there was a shortage of staff that evening, so it was a bit chaotic, but days like that happen. The kimchi was the best I've ever eaten. The ramen was also really incredibly good. What I would change: Egg with soft/runny yolk. The hard boiled one didn't taste that good. Nevertheless, we will definitely come by a lot more often! Edit: the meat was very tender, but could have been a little spicier

The owners are lovely, and quite helpful! It was almost closing time of the lunch shift, but we still managed to get our delicious karaage bento.

The ramen was exactly as I imagined it and tasted really good. I decided on the chicken in the ramen and unfortunately only got a small piece for €2, which I think is a bit much. The atmosphere is nice and you can also sit outside, the service was also very friendly!

I had a simple shoyu-ramen, and it’s really tasty. I'm from Japan and I've tried a lot of ramen places and this is definitely one of the best. The garlic flavor in the shoyu-ramen is amazing. I can recommend the place. They even have a menu for vegetarian. Hopefully they will have shoyu-butter-ramen.

Unfortunately, our visit here was chaotic. Long waiting times, incorrect orders and disorganized service characterized the evening. The food was also disappointing: overcooked, over-salted noodles. Despite the boss's heartfelt apology for the chaos, unfortunately no recommendation.

If you want to eat very good ramen, this is the right place for you. The prices are a little above average, but definitely worth it. The ingredients are fresh and it tastes incredibly good. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely come back!

Very tasty ramen soups (the soup with black garlic was incredibly good). The lunch menu is also really tasty and sumptuous. Overall, the food here is good value for money. The Japanese owner is also friendly, he cooks the soups himself for many hours. Overall, I can definitely recommend this cute little restaurant - a little culinary gem for Milbertshofen.

The best ramen from all over Munich 🌸

Very friendly service. Ambience okay. The taste of the ramen was average. What I noticed as soon as I entered the restaurant was the smell of garlic. Because I still had a date, the Black Oil Garlic Ramen was out of the question. So without garlic: I had Black Shoyu Ramen. But nothing helped. By the end of the meal, my clothes and I were impregnated with garlic. That was definitely too much for me even though I like garlic. I was here for the first and last time. Anyone who likes it.

I ordered the soy sauce ramen, black garlic, and the fried chicken bento from the lunch menu. Both the soup and noodles were very delicious. The miso soup that comes with the lunch menu was also very delicious! I went on a weekday afternoon. The owner was running the business by himself and seemed busy, but he was chatting with each and every customer and the atmosphere was friendly. I want to go again!

Best ramen shop in Munich. It's a shame that the location was changed from Augsburg to Munich. But definitely worth a visit. All dishes on the menu are highly recommended.

I find problems to describe how amazing my experience was. Amzing atmosphere (small and simple), incredible food (amount and ration price/quality) and the personal are fulfilling the "Japanese politeness" way. I am going to eat there everytime I am able.

Was pleasantly surprised discovering this ramen place during my business trip to Munich. I am a big Tantanmen fan, this was a perfect balance of spicy and rich, with abundant ground meet which was great. With Yurinchi fried chicken and Kirin beer, can’t ask for more as a Japanese person :)

Finally an authentic ramen shop in Munich We just ended up here for dinner by chance, but we'll definitely be back. The shop is run by a Japanese man from Hokkaido and has a Japanese chef, which is reflected in both the ambience and the food. The service is a bit chaotic, but the ramen speaks for itself. Attention: If the menu says spicy, the dish is really spicy!

We ordered Karaage, Shoyu Ramen and Ikko Special Ramen there. I thought both ramen tasted very good! The broth from the Ikko Special Ramen was slightly creamy, spicy and aromatic. The karaage was also very tasty. The only thing I have to criticize is the “few toppings” in the ramen. For example, in terms of proteins, Shoyu Ramen contained exactly one thin slice of meat and half an egg. The Special Ramen comes with a bit more slices of meat and half an egg. Normally I feel full after eating ramen, but not really here. Therefore the price-performance ratio is not quite right. However, the ramen dishes tasted very good. The Japanese owner was very friendly and attentive.

We came especially from Augsburg because our shop has now closed. The atmosphere was totally warm and inviting. We were welcomed with a sweet from the kitchen, patiently advised when taking our order, made individual changes if requested and ultimately the ramen was really excellent! Finally we even got a drink on the house. We'd love to come back!

The ramen here is at the top! Authentic Japanese owner. There are only a few who come close here in Munich. Definitely one of my favorites. Will come more often. The special miso is recommended!

I was skeptical because of the high prices, but these were the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. The vegetarian Karamiso Ramen was really spicy and simply delicious! I'm happy to pay the extra price for an authentic taste. In addition, the cocktails are surprisingly cheap for Munich and also very good, so the price evens out in the end.

You could get a lot more out of the store 😬 Unfortunately, the service was chaotic and desperate, which stressed you out as a guest 😕 The food itself was delicious, but unfortunately one dish was much too spicy and unfortunately without any hint or “warning” 😐 Unfortunately, the price of the Menya Ikko is not a bargain either. Unfortunately we were not convinced.

New highlight in Milbertshofen.

Were here for dinner. Had miso ramen and special miso ramen. The broth had a pleasant spiciness and the noodles had a nice bite (probably homemade). The meat literally melts in your mouth and the combination with the various vegetables, eggs and seaweed was excellent. All in all, a very rich soup and generous portions. We were very satisfied. The atmosphere is more like a snack bar than a restaurant. Walk in, order, eat, pay and leave. The service was very friendly and also gave us information about the differences in the ramen variations. One star deducted because you can't pay by card. Reservations seem possible, but I haven't figured out how to do it yet. Phone numbers on Google Maps and Facebook appear to be unstaffed.

It was my first time visiting. This is the first restaurant in Munich where I can eat such delicious ramen and fried chicken. Although the prices are high, this ramen shop is worth visiting. We also sell bento boxes. Some ramen items are not sold.

In a 1 to 1 comparison with Slurp or other ramen restaurants, Menya Ikko is way better! However, the ramen doesn't taste the same intensity every time.

Large flavorful ramen, everything you need on a cold winter night!

I went to Menya Ikko for the first time around 4 months ago, and was really impressed by the dishes. The broth felt authentic, looked just like in the pictures and especially the authentic takoyaki topped with bonito flakes (like it should be) was delicious. So I recently took my wife there saying how good the place was, and felt sort of insulted. The tantanmen broth was fairly bland, toppings missing, and the supposed ramen egg was half of a plain fully boiled egg. If it's a €10 ramen, I'll let it be, but for the price, that ramen was terrible. Still, the worst was the takoyaki. Why is it topped with pickled radish? I could think of it only as cutting corners. If it was the chef's decision to change it, please ask the customer what topping they want on the takoyaki. For me, I had to first remove the radish before eating.
