Looks like a corner bar from the outside, but offers surprisingly delicious food (considering the price)! You can also take it with you. Schnitzels are great, burgers are really tasty too. In my opinion, the weekly menu could be... like to be replaced a little more often, but also always offers something delicious. Only the fish could be on it a little more often.

We spontaneously went to dinner at BaumKirchner after a Bayern game. The schnitzel was super tasty and the portion was very large. Price-performance ratio was very good. The waitresses were also very nice. We'll definitely be back!

Delicious food, good beer and excellent service. Limited menu, mainly meat. The portions are generous and there are also cocktails, but we didn't try them. Simple and relaxed atmosphere, in a traditional German style.

I got late night to a nearby hotel and didn't hope to find places open at that time. But found this one closing at 11,45PM and it had a good rating. Very cozy with warm decoration, great food (the turkey schnitzel was better than those from fancy restaurants), and the service was amazing! Good food, fair price, nice atmosphere, and a sincere smile from attendants. Great place!

Eine typische Gaststätte mit Flair. Es gibt hier ein leckeres "Münchner Schnitzel" für das wir jedesmal extra einen Umweg machen, wenn wir in der Stadt sind. Die jungen Damen vom Service sind super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Wir den Besuch sehr empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

The food wasn't that tasty and the dressing on the salad tasted so disgusting. Baumkirchner is not like he used to be, the food almost doesn't taste good. The food before was better. I think he only sells expired meat because I once ordered rum steak and it stank like a corpse?????

Visit: May 11, 2024 Well, sitting outside isn't so bad, but the food was hearty, hearty and delicious. Our waitress was quick and nice. The restaurant is a bit far out, but it's definitely worth a visit. Next time we'll look around inside.

Everything was perfect. The attention of the waitresses, the atmosphere of the place, the delicious food. We even ordered the food in a special way and they fulfilled our request perfectly. 100% recommended

At first two waitresses completely overlooked us, then later guests were served first. After a long wait, we had to get the menu ourselves from a neighboring table, even though we were sitting in view of the counter. Our three side salads, which were supposed to be included in the price, were completely overlooked and not served. In the end we were invited for an espresso as an apology after we pointed out the lack of salads. The food was bourgeois satisfying! We've eaten here a few times, but our motivation to eat there was thwarted yesterday! I didn't like the Spezi (Cola Mix) with only 0.4l in the glass and it didn't taste particularly good, which is certainly due to the brewery.

Very nice little restaurant with friendly service and a great menu. Atmosphere is typical of a German Munich restaurant and the food was delicious, and affordable.

Staff: friendly, in a good mood, open to guests Ambience: Inn with a touch of modernity. The mix between traditional furnishings and new, fresh style is really well done. Food: The food was prepared really quickly. It was super tasty and just the right portion size. One star deducted because the table stuck slightly.

You can sit for 15min outside and nobody comes. Luckily there are plenty other restaurants just nearby.

Quick and uncomplicated: called and ordered, ready to pick up after 15 minutes. Cheeseburger with salad and fries, super tasty and large portion. Fries nice and salty and crispy. Seating available outside and inside. Cozy and nicely decorated.

Great and nice little restaurant that we discovered by chance near our hotel. Young and above all, nice employees and a dinner that thrilled us. My wife said that it was the most tender schnitzel she had ever eaten (Swiss schnitzel, I think ) and at, to be honest, low prices compared to the other restaurants visited in Munich

Meine Frau und ich waren spontan im Restaurant Baumkirchner. Beim vorbeigehen sah uns das Restaurant von außen einladend aus und obwohl bereits alles reserviert war bekamen wir einen Tisch für 2 Personen unter der Voraussetzung nach 2 Stunden fertig zu sein (was für mich vollkommen in Ordnung ist). Das Essen (Cordon Bleu mit Bratkartoffeln und Rumpsteak mit Pommes frites) war lecker und der Service sehr angenehm. Das Ambiente ist rustikal aber gemütlich. Ich kann dieses Restaurant weiterempfehlen.

Leider wurde ich mal wieder von der Qualität des Essens enttäuscht und dafür mit Getränken und Trinkgeld nicht wenig bezahlt. Dafür , dass das Essen in der Tonne gelandet ist und ich hungrig nach Hause gekommen bin. Schade ☹️

Good Bavarian restaurant, about 10 minutes walk from the Holiday Inn Hotel. Food tastes really good and the quantity is really good for the price and the beer tastes good too. Great ambience, rustic furnishings, wooden furniture and a beamed ceiling complete it.

Nice Bavarian restaurant. Good food, nice waiters and a really great Kaiserschmarrn! Update March 2024: Unfortunately, the quality of the food has been declining massively over the last six months. It feels like everything is now fried in bad fat and even after the visit you smell like you've visited a chip shop. All schnitzels and fried potatoes are now served dripping with fat. We've tried it many times now, but unfortunately it doesn't change. The service is still great, as are the drinks.

A big thank you and compliment to the Baumkirchner team. We actually wanted to eat here on the first evening of our stay, but then decided otherwise, what a mistake. My welcome is warm, the staff is always friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is rustic but cozy, and the price/performance ratio is excellent in this day and age. No matter what you order, you won't regret it, and at the end you should have a delicious cocktail. After we sat there we made another reservation. Dear team, keep it up.

Hohe Qualität bei wirklich großen Portionen, d.h. gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr freundliche Bedienungen. Wir mussten nicht lange warten, Getränke kamen schnell, Essen in angemessener Zeit. Es gab Zwiebelrostbraten (gutes Stück, innen noch rot) mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat sowie den Baumkirchner-Salat (mit lecker gekürzten Putenstreifen). So ein Restaurant ist gut besucht und man geht gerne hin.

Arrived on a friday evening in Munich , was recommended this restaurant by friends - restaurant ws packed . Staff were very friendly and got me a beer and sat me in the bar until a table became available. The food was amazing quality . I enjoyed the Pork Schnitzel and Apfelfannkuchen- (Apple pancakes) , great service , nice beers . This is a traditional german restaurant - I would recommend a visit . I visited a second time and same service and food quality . Fantastic atmosphere.

Six of us spontaneously ate here. We received a super friendly welcome. The food was excellent and the waitress is just great. The atmosphere is relaxed, but very respectful. We then reserved a table for the following day and had another excellent meal there for relatively little money. Thank you for two lovely evenings. We will be back!!

This spot is amazing! We were weary travelers and found this gem right before the last call (10:30pm). We got the Cordon Blue and Pork Steak. It was so good and made perfectly. It was delicious. Definitely going to go back before our trip ends!

Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend spontan vor einem Konzert hier. Als wir kurz nach 17 Uhr ins Restaurant kamen begrüßte uns eine sehr freundliche Kellnerin. Sie konnte uns einen Tisch bis maximal 19 Uhr anbieten, was uns aber vollkommend ausreichte. Die Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen und obwohl sie zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch alleine im Service war und doch schon einige Tische belegt waren kamen auch die Getränke sehr flott. Das Essen (wir hatten ein Jägerschnitzel und ein Münchner-Schnitzel) waren nach ca. 20 Minuten am Tisch. Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet! Zur Nachspeise hatten wir noch Schokosufflé mit Vanilleeis und Sahne! Leider sind wir nicht oft in München, wenn aber doch, dann kommen wir sicherlich wieder 👍🏻

Heerlijke Schnitzel gegeten Gezellige sfeer en prima bediening. Prijs was prima, behalve de champignons die we apart bestelden was wat aan de prijs, misschien hadden we dat even vooraf moeten vragen, maar €6,- vonden wij wat prijzig voor een bordje met gebakken champignons. Voor de rest een echte aanrader!

Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal hier und es hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen: geütliche Atmosphäre, herrlich frisches Weißbier und Helles vom Fass und gute bodenständige Küche. Zweifellos empfehlenswert! Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: Hunde sind willkommen!

Spur of moment decision, we were looking for a local place to eat dinner not far from our hotel, and boy did we find it. Great food, great service. I had the Schnitzel “Vienna style” and it was great.

Urig gemütliche bayerische Wirtschaft mit leckerem Essen und gute Preisen. Gute Verkehrsanbindung mit der 19er und U2. Ich bin immer wieder gerne dort. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und bemüht und das Wohl der Gäste.

Locale situato a pochi metri dalla fermata della metro Baumkirchner, una ventina di minuti da Marienplatz. La birreria è molto accogliente, in tipico stile bavarese e a differenza di molti locali in cui siamo stati, il personale è molto accogliente e disponibile. Menù in tedesco e in inglese. I piatti sono quelli tipici della zona, noi abbiamo provato la cotoletta panata, molto tenera. Porzioni abbondanti. Super consigliato

Locale tipico, super affollato..la cucina è veramente di qualità e buonissima..ottima la carne con la patata al cartoccio e così pure il dolce …buona la birra…consigliato..

Man muß bei viel Betrieb aufpassen das man hört ob man schon sein Essen abholen kann. Es ist alles ist teurer geworden.
