We've enjoyed going to Mendoza for a long time. Unfortunately, last night was very disappointing. We ordered the grill platter for two, as usual. Our anticipation was quickly dampened. This time it took an unusually long time. The meat and vegetables were lukewarm. We complained politely. The platter was taken away, and we were told it would take another minute. The cold vegetables remained at the table and were only taken away after further warning. After a long wait, we finally got the platter of reheated meat back. The pork was dry. The quality wasn't up to our usual standards. Unfortunately, the service didn't ask if everything was okay, nor did it offer an apology. No one else came until the table was cleared. After no one came to pay, despite a long wait, we went to the counter. There we were left standing and waiting. I've never experienced such poor and ignorant service at your place. What a shame!

Best Steaks in Mönchengladbach We've been regulars since the restaurant opened. The meat has always been excellent, but now that the Yaramis couple have taken over, the quality has been raised even further. Super delicious, always grilled to perfection by Koma and Toni. We have enjoyed going to this restaurant for many years because we have always been very satisfied with the food served there. Even after the change in ownership, which is also noticeable due to the new menu with significantly increased prices, we ate there again. Unfortunately, my wife's favorite dish, the small sirloin steak, is no longer on the evening menu, which we find very unfortunate. The 200g ordered as a replacement. Unfortunately, the meat quality of the sirloin steak was not nearly as good as the small sirloin steak used to be! The pepper sauce I ordered was also a little too thick! What was again top notch was the grill plate with the super tasty lamb chops! The langostinis with the lobster sauce were also a poem! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

We went here for dinner with two couples on Sunday evening. Very good beef and great fish dishes. As a starter we had a salad plate for two people each. This was large, sufficient and with various salads. The service was very good and friendly. So 100% satisfaction, good thing we made a reservation, the restaurant is popular and very well attended.

Yes, the food was very good. I had reserved for 5 people. What wasn't nice was that we were very cramped and the fifth person even sat at a side table - a narrow table that was attached to the larger table. Otherwise everything was really good.

Wir sind seit langer Zeit Gäste in ihrem Restaurant. So enttäuscht wie bei unserem letzten Besuch waren wir noch nie. Sehr viele Gerichte nicht mehr auf der Karte. Wein bestellt es kam ein ein Glas und nicht mehr eine kleine Karaffe Kellner sagt gibt es nicht mehr. Rumpsteak völlig lieblos suf dem Teller ohne irgendeine eine kleine Garnitur. Weisser Teller Steak drauf fertig!!!! Preise total überzogen. Wir werden ihr Lokal nicht mehr besuchen.

Ich war sehr spät im Restaurant Mendoza habe aber trotzdem noch etwas zu essen bekommen das fand ich total nett obwohl die Küche kurz vor Schluss war. Mein Steak war war leider nicht Medium so wie ich es bestellt habe und obwohl ich es aufgegessen habe aber danach bemängelt habe hat man es storniert. Die Kellner waren wirklich sehr nett und bemüht mein Anliegen im Nachhinein zu begleichen und haben mein Steak storniert. Das findet man selten in einem Restaurant und ich bedanke mich ganz herzlich. Der Wein und die Papas Bravas waren auch wirklich sehr lecker und man bekommt eine wirklich großzügige Vorspeise mit sehr leckeren warm gemachten Brot. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder😃

Very tasty and authentic steak house. I recommend the 174 - beef skewer with patatas bravas. So for real, you have to treat yourself to that. Even if you pay a little more, it is worth every cent. Recently (September 2024) there are also several large seafood dishes, on the menu as a “Seafood Boil” for one or more people. The platter for two people includes a lot of different shellfish, as well as mussels and squid, as well as rice (but not on the platter for one person). The sauce for the seafood was very good, but we found it a bit too intense and we thought it would be better to serve it separately. You also get the necessary cutlery (which is unfortunately missing in many other restaurants) and even gloves and a bib to hang around your neck. The wine list is also new, but unfortunately the Malbec is now missing. Previous visits: We really enjoyed the French onion soup, the lamb chops (loin) and the rump steak and the service was friendly. Exemplary: Not only was the menu available digitally on a tablet at the table, but there was also a note that, in addition to the QR code with the URL to the menu, also contained the information to connect your smartphone to the Internet via WiFi (a note that I miss in most other restaurants - even if a QR code is offered for the menu). On our return visit we chose Chateaubriand for two people, which was carved at the table and garnished with various vegetables. The meat was cooked excellently. So-called filling side dishes, such as potatoes or the like, were not included. Because of the amount of meat and vegetables, that wasn't necessary or would have been too much.

In my opinion the best steakhouse in Mönchengladbach. Highly recommend the lamb fillets flambéed with Pernod. It's a shame that with the new menu the chipirones are no longer offered and only open wines by the glass instead of the carafe. I also think it's a shame that the yellow light bulbs were swapped for cold white bulbs. I personally don't like that because it makes the lighting atmosphere cooler, but I'm perhaps a little too old school in that regard. The food is excellent and the service is courteous and friendly. The Mendoza in a nutshell, simply brilliant!!! 🤩 My wife and I decided to eat at Mendoza for our anniversary. We couldn't have made a better decision. The staff are very friendly, cheerful and attentive. The atmosphere is very cozy and the food is to die for! The flambéing at the table is another special highlight (not for all dishes) that you should have seen. 😉 We had a wonderful evening and are looking forward to repeating it.

Very nice restaurant with extremely courteous staff. The owner even sat down with us for a moment, a very friendly gentleman. Don't understand the good rating? The whole place had a musty fryer/garlic smell. When we got up, all of our clothes and hair smelled like a deep fryer. Potatoes, rice and other side dishes were not tasty at all and below average. Steak was okay. I expect more than an “okay” from a steak shop. By the way, I went out hungry because the food made me sick and I couldn't eat it all.

The food is also 100% convincing and leaves nothing to be desired. Only the service lacks that certain something in some places; e.g. the feeling of being the only and most important guest, as well as friendliness. Otherwise a really great restaurant with fabulous food and excellent steaks. Even after a few years now, we are still overwhelmed by the brilliant steaks and side dishes!

Super great steakhouse. I couldn't complain when I visited there. We were served nicely and the food was very good. Right at the beginning you get delicious warm bread sliced ​​with various dips to warm up. My starter, prawns fried in garlic with aioli, was beautifully presented and tasted really good. The main course, a steak with medium rare lamb, was also a great experience for the palate. I would definitely eat there again simply because it tasted great. So gladly again!

I haven't been to Mendoza in a long time, but I have been to a few other steakhouses and I really have to say: hats off! The quality of the meat was beyond any doubt and the degree of doneness was also great. Unfortunately, I had often experienced that the steak was too well done if it was "medium" and since then I have been ordering "medium rare" to be on the safe side. This time medium rare was really medium rare, but since I had a fillet, that was a positive because the meat was super tender. The salad buffet is also still an absolute recommendation and the fact that you get really tasty bread plus good dips on the house has become a rarity. Oh, the service was very attentive and drinks and food came very quickly. Maybe a small point of criticism: the beer wasn't cold enough.
