Die Köche waren super freundlich und lustig ,beim zubereiten der Speisen. (das einzig positive!) Pasta war für den Preis echt zu teuer und war geschmacklich geht so. Der " freundliche" Herr H. An der Kasse war so herablassend und arrogant, dass habe ich selten erlebt. Es war fast leer im Vapiano, an Stress kann es nicht gelegen haben. Das war das erste und letzte Mal im Vapiano, erst Recht im minto.

The chefs were super friendly and funny when preparing the food. (the only positive!) Pasta was really too expensive for the price and tasted just fine. The "friendly" Mr. H. at the checkout was so condescending and arrogant that I have rarely experienced that. It was almost empty in the Vapiano, it couldn't have been due to stress. That was the first and last time in the Vapiano, especially in the minto.

I didn't like it. I had spaghetti funghi. And my daughter penne with prawns. Of course it takes a while for the dishes to be ready, but we found the wait to be long. You stand there like a fool and wait. Unfortunately the dishes were not ready at the same time. Mine first and was directly sprinkled with cheese. When we got the dishes, my spaghetti had melted into a lump with the cheese. It also tasted very soapy, as if the pan hadn't been rinsed properly. I also think €4.20 is steep for a 0.33 liter bottle of cola. The only positive thing was the staff, they were really nice.

Vapiano Mönchengladbach is simply a great team! Whether at the wine bar or if you want a special salad, you will receive unique and courteous service. Special requests are taken into account and the employees are extremely polite. A great wine selection! I really enjoy being there😉. Even when my cell phone was empty, they tried everything to give me a way to charge it. Thank you everyone and have a nice Christmas time😀

Staff very unfriendly, an order isn't even taken, they argue in front of customers because no one wanted to take our order. We didn't even get around to ordering so I can't say how the food tasted.

Yesterday I visited the Vapiano in Mönchengladbach with my wife and we ordered pasta. However, what was supposed to be a pleasant visit to the restaurant turned into an extremely disappointing experience. After placing our order we had to wait 45 minutes without our food being prepared. During this time, we noticed that the employee in charge was constantly engrossed in conversation instead of processing the orders - neither ours nor those of other guests. It is absolutely incomprehensible and disrespectful that during this entire time we were not even informed that our order was not being processed. It was only after 45 minutes that we found out that we had simply been ignored. Such behavior is completely unacceptable in a restaurant that presents itself as respectable. I understand that catering establishments can experience overloads or other internal challenges. But this in no way justifies treating guests so disrespectfully and leaving them in the dark.

Overpriced.....not what it used to be

The three of us went out to eat two days ago and have all been struggling with nausea and diarrhea since then. There were problems with the order. In my dish (Gamberetti e Spinaci) the scampi was burnt, which the chef noticed but apparently ignored. In addition, the pine nuts were simply left out. Given the high prices, we would definitely have expected more. The service was friendly, but unfortunately we won't be coming here again.

Since there are 3 categories here that can be evaluated, I'll rattle them off. Food: FYI, I only had a cappuccino there. I wouldn't have gotten anything else under any circumstances. €4.20 for a cappuccino that isn't even mediocre... I don't know what the €4.20 is used for, but definitely not for good taste, nice presentation or quantity. Service: I would be even less dissatisfied with good service, but there is neither good service nor any service at all! With a chain like this that costs millions, you have to go to the counter yourself and order your coffee. For the price I find that outrageous. I just hope it's stress-free at least for the waiters. Ambience: The only good thing about the store. It would have been nice if the lamp at my table had worked. In addition, the floor was dirty. So I ask myself: where does all the money go for the overpriced things? Are the employees paid so little that they don't clean? Or even wipe the tables??? (It wasn't even full, that wasn't the problem!!) Conclusion: There are so many better cafés and restaurants in Mönchengladbach where the price-performance ratio is also right. Vapiano is not recommended. Given the prices and the (overrated!) reputation, I'm really outraged. You could walk down an alley and visit an unfamiliar café and that would convince you more than the shop here. I'm really disappointed.

This is by far one of the cleaner Vapiano locations I've ever visited. The toilet is huge, quite impressive! The food was made with lots of care, and the pizzachef added some extra bread with garlic oil upon request to accompany the salad and soup. Food was made quickly. Drinks were quite expensive compared to the food.

We eat there more often when we're in town. The food is very tasty, the portions could be a bit larger for the price. The play areas for the children (available on both floors) are positive, even if the things are pretty worn out, but still better than no play area at all. This means we can eat in peace with small children.

The staff seemed bored and didn't seem to want to be even remotely friendly. The wait was ridiculously long, even though there were hardly any guests there. And if that wasn't enough, the food was also overpriced - I felt like I was being ripped off. For this quality I would actually have had to pay money to eat it. I can only advise against anyone ever setting foot in this “bakery shop”. Save your money and go somewhere else - you'll only get disappointment here.

We wanted a pizza, there was “only” Pinsa. Topping is OK, but the dough is horrible, dry and you'll have to bite your teeth into it. It tasted more like a 3x baked pizza from 3 days ago with fresh tomatoes thrown on it. At 13 euros per “board” it was completely overpriced and unfortunately inedible. For the next Minto visits we will definitely choose a different fooder... Toilets can only be reached via a large staircase, so a complete fail for people who need barrier-free access. P.S.: I'm even deducting two more stars for the sensationally empathetic comment, brazenly... and this clearly shows, as with the food, how much customers are valued.

Today, July 14th, 2024, we wanted to eat at Vapiano with 4 adults and 1 child. Since I wasn't familiar with the system, I asked the Asian-looking service person a question. She then gave me a stroppy and mushy answer, whereupon we turned around and left. Of course we enjoyed ourselves somewhere else with friendly service. Never again!!

The lasagne was really tasty, the noodles weren't that great. But all in all, still good.

What a terrible meal. There is probably a better pasta burrata at every village fair, if it is known there. Burrata sits on sandwiched linguine in bitter pesto with raw onions. Who would think of something like that? My companion's salad bowl was full of coarse pieces of lettuce, which are more likely to be used as animal feed. Definitely our last visit - after a very long break - to Vapiano. The one star is for the drinks, you couldn't go wrong with them.

Previously 5 stars, now only 2. Since reopening, things are no longer as good as before. Prices have risen significantly in some cases for the same or smaller quantities. A few cents would have been fine, but especially when it comes to desserts, some variants cost over €1. There is no pizza anymore. The new “Pinsa” is no longer made from fresh dough and shaped in-house, but comes out of the drawer fully formed and appears pre-baked. The size is significantly smaller than previous pizzas, but at the same time the price has increased. In addition, you no longer get sharp knives, but scissors. However, you don't always get the pinsa cut well and eating it becomes tiring. Vapiano has also still not managed to ensure that groups get their food at the same time. This time there was a difference of about 30 minutes for us. In addition, discount campaigns and benefits no longer exist. Examples include the stamp cards, the Vapiano app (which simply no longer exists) and the 10% Minto discount. It's a shame, but the competition is simply better now. Addendum after feedback from Vapiano: It's not about the taste of the pinsa, which is good (like the pizzas before). But they are more expensive and at the same time smaller than the pizzas. In addition, the dough is no longer freshly formed etc. but a ready-made dough flatbread is used.

Large Italian restaurant is well attended, if necessary you should bring some time. Cooks at the stove are very nice and fulfill every wish. 2x pasta for us was absolutely delicious. The range of drinks was also very sufficient. Always a great place to go for a lunch break! Location in the Minto excellent, also child-friendly and suitable for disabled people!

I visited this Vapiano for the first time yesterday (March 22) at 11:30 a.m. and felt very comfortable. The receptionist was super nice, the chef was super nice, the cashier was nice too. Food as always very tasty. One small point of criticism: the slice of bread was extremely dry. So much so that I unfortunately couldn't bite into it. And I think 4.20 for a cola is too expensive. Especially considering you're queuing for food and there's no waiter.

The answer was “what kind of weirdo I was, that couldn't be the case at all and in his eyes it was just an attempt to get the food for free and that You could have quickly cleaned up the crumbs yourself... cashed in and then left without saying anything... quite honestly, if it's like that everywhere, sooner or later you'll go bankrupt... the best thing is that other guests heard this accusation . For me and my companion it was extremely unpleasant and more than embarrassing. My companion actually wanted to report this directly because of defamation, but I said afterwards that something like that wasn't worth it and that we would simply avoid this shop in the future.
