Were there with family and friends for a small celebration

We spent four nights with a group of friends and were treated like royalty. The staff was charming and professional, the breakfast was fantastic, and everything was easy. The location was perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

Good hotel in the immediate vicinity of the train station. Despite its proximity, it was relatively quiet. The room was tidy and clean, and the bed was comfortable. One star deducted for the rather impractical motion detector in the bathroom; if you need to use the bathroom quickly in the middle of the night, it takes too long for the lights and ventilation to turn off again. The breakfast was very plentiful and extensive, and very tasty! The staff was always friendly and helpful. All in all, I can recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Someone here pursues their own style and follows it consistently. There are good ideas in every corner of the hotel. The bookcase, e-bike charging stations, a children's corner, etc. There's a huge parking lot in the courtyard. Our room was perfectly fine and lovingly decorated. The bathroom was a bit dated—but with a dog, you don't get the freshest rooms. The bathroom costs an additional €10, which is acceptable. The staff is super friendly. The breakfast buffet really offers something for everyone. Very extensive and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at the Hotel Bär was good overall. The location is great, and the panoramic window in the restaurant area is very nice. Suggestions for improvement: The room shouldn't be so cold, and in October, the central heating should be turned up. It got cold around 5-6 a.m. in the morning, despite the heating being set to 4. The cleaning staff should know which rooms are being checked out and not knock repeatedly before 11 a.m. A clearer, more prominent notice about the numerous surveillance cameras and the 20 screens in the reception area would be necessary. We found these disconcerting. Nevertheless, a nice hotel in a region that otherwise offers few hotels! The breakfast was delicious and worthy of a 4-star rating.

The hotel is conveniently located directly near Munich train station. Equipped with soundproof windows, it is nevertheless quiet on all sides. Munich has a charming townscape with an attractive pedestrian zone. It's a great starting point for hikers and cyclists in Upper Franconia and Upper Palatinate, the Fichtel Mountains, and the Steinwald Forest.

I stayed for three nights during a vacation and felt very comfortable. Although the hotel is very centrally located near the train station, it was pleasantly quiet at night. There is a huge free on-site parking lot. The breakfast buffet is exceptionally good and varied. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. Only the shower in my room is not for giants.

The location is ideal, opposite the train station. Nevertheless, it's very quiet. The ambiance is a matter of taste. A bit motley (with emphasis on "motley"), dated, with no discernible concept... a matter of taste, in other words. Nevertheless, everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast deserves special mention. One of the best and most extensive breakfasts we've ever had in a hotel. Everything was there and much more (e.g., various types of fish, fish salads, lots of fruit, etc.). Everything was delicious, and that alone would make a stay worthwhile.

The hotel is listed as a Goldsteig Ge(h)nuss partner. The reception desk couldn't give me any information about the Goldsteig. The staff didn't know where the starting point was, and they hadn't even seen a stamp pass. Very good breakfast. Good room.

Very convenient for those traveling by train—there's a taxi service, a restaurant, and parking right outside the hotel. The staff is simply wonderful.

Marktredwitz is a good base for exploring the Fichtel Mountains and neighboring Czech Republic. It has everything you need, but the town's appeal is limited due to its economic situation.

Hello Having arrived back home in Thuringia today, we would like to thank you again for the wonderful days at the hotel. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The rooms are beautifully and modernly furnished. The room service is excellent. The food, whether at the breakfast buffet or the all-you-can-eat dinner, was very good, varied, and plentiful. A special thank you to the incredibly friendly service staff. Always friendly and with a smile. Many thanks also to the Bär family. We would happily recommend the hotel and will definitely visit again.

Yes, very good food and good promotions

Very good service, rooms are appropriate for the age of the hotel, the breakfast is very rich, any special wishes are fulfilled. For dinner you have to go to the main building at the train station but you don't have to wait long for your food.

Good breakfast and restaurant, friendly staff. My room, which was 207 had no curtains or rolladens except in the bathroom, thankfully I had to wake up early while there otherwise that would have been even more annoying

We went to the breakfast buffet; the selection and quantity were fine, but we missed lactose-free milk or milk substitutes, as well as yogurt or possibly cream cheese, etc. Lactose intolerance is a common problem these days. The young waitress was very friendly and accommodating.

The room was quite narrow and very outdated, the mattresses on the double bed had a large gap in the middle, which massively hindered cuddling together. In addition, the mattresses could be pushed off the bed without any further effort, which was annoying when lying down. Pillows are virtually non-existent, so you can sleep without them. There were also dark hairs in several places (mattress, towels in the bathroom, sink). And the very small shower also had mold in the silicone. The "wellness area" was particularly disappointing: although we had already reserved for a certain time and were assured that the facility would then be on and working, my partner and I had to start (despite about 15m late!) into a very cold wellness area in the dark and without keys for lockers. Despite supposed preparation, the saunas were very cold (around 50°), we had to get the steam sauna and the experience showers going manually by turning on the water pipes and the whirlpool costs extra (€3), then takes at least 10 minutes until it is usable and is then extremely cold (21°). Of course, we were not informed about any of this in advance. And my written request regarding some things that need to be clarified has not even been answered to date... The only somewhat positive thing was the very large selection at the breakfast buffet as well as the very nice waitresses and the comparatively low prices in the in-house cocktail bar. All in all, not even close to what my partner and I imagine a 4 star hotel would be like! Especially with the prices...

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and, despite a few minor drawbacks, can say something positive about it. We were lucky with the rooms, or rather, we were probably assigned one of the larger ones since we were traveling with an infant. The room had a double bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom had a bathtub with a whirlpool function. The furnishings and quality of the rooms are in keeping with the old building and don't correspond to what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Nevertheless, the room and its furnishings are absolutely fine! Our room was mostly clean. Only the sofa bed cover had a stain, so I doubt it's changed after every guest. Well, the little one inevitably slept in our bed. The hotel is an old building with wood-beamed ceilings. This naturally has its own special charm, but it's also somewhat noisy. One positive feature worth mentioning is that the hotel has a sauna. We can't say anything more about the sauna, as it unfortunately can only be used from 4 p.m. and was therefore not available to us. The ladies in the restaurant were very friendly and accommodating, and they provided good service. The breakfast was generally okay, but I think the cold cuts could be improved. Unfortunately, only pork was available; poultry or beef products were nowhere to be found, so we didn't have much of a choice and had to resort to cheese. Furthermore, breakfast is only served until 10 a.m., which was stressful for us. 11 a.m. would have been much more pleasant. What I personally didn't like was the receptionist upon our arrival on Monday. The ladies seemed to spend the entire day on the phone, and even if they were friendly, they simply had a very stressed and unpleasant aura. Friendly words are useless if body language and facial expressions convey something else. Overall, though, we can recommend the hotel!

Hotel rating is not 1 but 0. Don't book for any reason in the world. We arrive at 11.45pm (notified of late arrival) we enter, Asian girl at the counter, with hands and feet we explain why she doesn't speak a word of English. For 15 minutes he stares at the PC monitor, without giving any sign. I ask if it's ok, she says yes, I say I'll go get my suitcase in the car, whereupon I see her go out, lock the hotel and leave. Various attempts to enter and in the end nothing. Left on foot. Precise reservation paid in advance. Shocking!!!!!

Unfortunately it doesn't correspond to a 4-star hotel by today's standards. Very old. The breakfast is rich and very tasty. 1 point for that. There is also a guarded parking lot. Also a plus point. Bathrobes can only be obtained at reception for an extra fee. The sauna is only switched on upon request, the steam bath is broken. Room1.0

The breakfast was very good, unfortunately the bed was completely worn out. Unfortunately, I have now reached the end of my journey. I stayed in 4 different accommodations. I have to say: this was by far the best breakfast in terms of selection, preparation and quality. Unfortunately, it was also by far the worst bed I have ever slept in. A hollow in the middle: I could only sleep on my side, with my hip on one edge and my shoulder on the opposite.

Unfortunately, for the first time in my life here in this Hotel Bär I was able to find out what overbooked rooms mean. Despite the booking confirmation, I was at the reception as ordered and not picked up. There was no room left. The staff offered me a replacement room but definitely not something in the style that my company booked me with breakfast. In any case, the staff showed no remorse, not even a small apology for the situation. I am extremely disappointed! It's a shame although the hotel is in a good location.

Very good and high-quality breakfast buffet. Mostly hard-working and nice staff. Outdated rooms and a wellness area that deserves and needs an update (steam bath broken, shower fittings as well). In my opinion it doesn't correspond to the four star standard in Germany.

The Hotel Meister Bär is located in Marktredwitz in close proximity to the train station, which is a plus. The city center with various shops and the natural garden including swimming pool are within walking distance. At first glance the hotel makes a very good impression. The rooms are well-equipped with a bathroom, kettle, fan and a large television; some rooms also have a small refrigerator. The beds are also comfortable, a bit too soft for my liking, but you get used to it after the first night. Every day you can look forward to the service staff who freshen the bed and distribute new towels. In addition, the breakfast is very rich and prepared for all preferences. The hotel also has a spa area with a whirlpool and three small saunas, a fitness room and a kind of party room in medieval style. Exploring the cellar was really an exciting journey of discovery for us and I was a little sad that I probably wouldn't get to have a party down there. As I said, at first glance everything makes a very good impression. But then you notice a few things the second time around. The rooms, but also the spa area, seem a bit run down. There were color defects and stains on the walls, the paint on my headboard was peeling off, the carpet had small stains... On the last evening we also discovered silverfish in 2 rooms. The cupboard in my room was poorly glued to one corner... Unfortunately that doesn't make a nice impression anymore. The same can be seen in common areas. I was also confused by the sometimes incoherent design. The theme chosen inside the hotel is Titanic. There's a "Captain's Deck", a "Titanic Lounge", but at the same time there are oversized nutcrackers in the corridors. The wellness area wanted to look like an oriental bath (a Turkish bath would actually fit the Titanic again), but then there are Indian design elements again. Basically, you always have something to discover, but as I said, it doesn't seem uniform, but rather wildly thrown together. Overall, I see a need to catch up when it comes to the care of the hotel and the rooms as well as the design concept. Nevertheless, I would like to emphasize again: the hotel is clean and offers a lot of comfort and is a very good place to stay for a short vacation.

Were not there to stay overnight We were there today, on a Sunday. Positive: Playground very well designed but if you want to go to the petting zoo with intention - it no longer exists. Medium: You have to have a little patience for the staff + talk very slowly. Negative: the food was a 4 We had Cusine salad - turkey ice cold bread from the day before Currywurst - was good! Squid rings - lukewarm.. Schnitzel - ok good size, dry + 4 drinks and that ended with 75€…

The hotel is very clean, the staff welcoming and the location good. Free and convenient parking, beautiful spa! But the room was without a mini fridge and without air conditioning... we suffered a bit from the heat at night and a fridge was needed for cold drinks.

We are excited ! The hotel is sparkling clean. Breakfast and dinner excellent. The staff is always there and fulfills every wish. The package is unbeatable and much better than what is on offer. We would be very, very happy to come back.

A friendly welcome and the extensive breakfast offering were positive. The almost claustrophobically small, older single room (with an integrated washbasin!) and the toilet/shower, which was just as limited in space, didn't work at all: in my opinion, such a room category no longer belongs in a contemporary 4* house.

Great breakfast buffet and great service. Unfortunately, I've only been in the house for brunch and training sessions. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms, nor about the catacombs, but they're definitely worth a visit.

Breakfast is always great there, not too big but not too small either, everything you need and delicious :) The service is very friendly and the beds in the rooms are also very good and clean No attack ^^ but the owner might put on a smile here and there :)

Good breakfast buffet, we had booked a larger room which was also appealing. The only thing is the shower with a bathtub that we had, unfortunately the bathroom was flooded after showering because the water protection on the bathtub was far too short. The refrigerator in the room is far too loud at night. The location of the hotel is great. We were able to have a good dinner in the immediate vicinity and had a short walk. There are 4 charging stations available for electric car drivers. Price 0.60 cents per kW, at least at the time we were there. Friendly service under Asian leadership. Price/performance ratio is okay for me and I can recommend the hotel.

Maybe you should think about putting only ONE bed in particularly small rooms... and maybe clean the rooms a little more thoroughly. The hotel is probably being renovated too, at least there is one side that looks good and the other side is in need of renovation. The breakfast buffet was great with a large selection. At dinner I sometimes had the feeling that the waiters had forgotten you.

Really very rich breakfast buffet. Very nice waitresses. Unfortunately, the changing option is a real disgrace! Down in the basement, in a toilet compartment, mounted so inconveniently above the toilet that the average tall woman has considerable problems using it when she still has a baby in her arms. There is hardly any space to turn around in the cabin, let alone put down the changing backpack or MaxiCosi. This should urgently be changed!!!

Schönes Hotel direkt am Bahnhof gelegen. Im zugehörigen Restaurant kann man gut Essen, nur leider riecht man die Küche deutlich in den Fluren, Aufzug, usw.

Unser erstes Frühstück hier, sehr reichhaltig und auch optisch ansprechend. Da ist wirklich für jeden was dabei. Leider gibt es keinen Kaffeeautomaten am Buffet, nur Filterkaffee in der Kanne an den Tisch. Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert.

Der Service war gut, die Angestellten hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück war auch reichhaltig und gut. Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht von den Zimmern. Das erste Zimmer war nicht tragbar, für 90 Euro mehr hatten wir dann immerhin die Möglichkeit, nochmal umzuziehen, dieses war zwar sehr altmodisch, jedoch etwas größer und das Badezimmer reichte für 2 Personen. Woher die 4 Sterne kommen, weiß ich wirklich nicht. Die Speisekarte war ansprechend, jedoch war mein Essen komplett versalzen und der Kartoffelsalat bestand zu 80% aus Mayo, Kartoffeln waren eher rar. Für Reisende ist der Standort gut, für einen Entspannten Urlaub aber leider nicht.

Tolles Hotel. Zimmer waren sauber, groß und wohnlich. Betten waren bequem. Personal war äußerst freundlich und bemüht. Frühstück war sehr vielseitig! Da kommt man gerne auch mal einfach so zum frühstücken! Sehr toll fanden wir auch die Bar. Das Personal dort hat uns fantastische Cocktails gezaubert, die nicht nur lecker waren sondern auch noch sehr ansprechend ausgesehen haben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Gute mittelklasse Ausstattung. Mein Zimmer 225 ist neu renoviert und sehr schön. Netter Service. Bin ca. 2-3 mal im Jahr geschäftlich hier und war immer sehr zufrieden.

Das Hotel ist zimmertechnisch nicht gerade auf dem neusten Stand und auch das Bad war sehr sehr eng. Die Angestellten waren aber sehr nett und das Frühstück war sehr reichlich und gut. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Upate Juli 23. Wir haben dem Hotel noch eine 2. Chance gegeben und dieses Mal sogar die Comfort-Zimmer genommen. Sie sind zwar etwas größer, aber genauso altbacken und auch nicht besonders sauber. Das Hotel ist so hellhörig, das man auf der Etage jede Tür und wir in der Nacht mehrmals aufgewacht sind. Vorteil des Hotels ist die Lage und wie erwähnt das Frühstück., der Rest ist verbesserungswürdig, auch dei Freundlichkeit des Inhabers, der es nicht mal für nötig hält seine Gäste zu grüßen. Für über 100€ die Nacht einfach zu teuer für das Gebotene.

Perfekte Lage zum Bahnhof. Unheimlich nettes Personal. Die Zimmer schön und sauber. Bequeme Betten. Das Frühstück war perfekt Unheimlich große Auswahl an leckeren Speisen. Von Obst bis Kuchen Wurst Käse alles was das Herz begehrt. Auch das Restaurant abends war spitze Unheimlich gutes Essen und auch hier war das Personal spitze Kann ich nur empfehlen 109 Euro für ein dz mit Frühstück sind in Ordnung da es ein 4 Sterne hotel ist

Es war eine schöne Zeit bei Meister Bär. Trotz weiterhin laufender Erneuerungsarbeiten haben wir dort eine unbeschwerte Wanderwoche verbracht. Köstliches Essen, freundlicher Service, leckere Lunchpakete und ein perfekter Shuttle - Service haben das ermöglicht. Herzlichen Dank dafür Margret, Gisela und Heike
