Thank you that we were served warm food on Sunday afternoon, around 3 p.m. It tasted very good. In addition, the service was very friendly and the boss was also very nice. You will remember that and will be happy to come back again! 🤓

Just great!!! After we were very disappointed at the Golden Lion last time, our visit to the Strand today reconciled us with the Marktredwitzer gastronomy. A service person who approaches the guest competently and very friendly and brings the drinks quickly. The food was served at the same time, once roulade and once gypsy schnitzel. The roulade with dumpling and red cabbage, very tasty, nice and soft but still with a bite. The gypsy schnitzel with crispy fries, a portion to fill you up. The schnitzel was freshly breaded and baked in the pan, just as it should be. The sauce on the schnitzel also tasted very good. Oh yes, when I ordered the gypsy schnitzel I was asked whether I wanted it breaded or plain... others can learn something from that... Overall, a very successful evening with good food, friendly service and all at a really fair price. Many thanks to the team, we'll be happy to come back! There are a few dishes on the menu that made us curious!

Went here for the first time today, the food was very good and plentiful (although the Schäufele could have been a little crispier), overall a nice atmosphere, you feel like you're in good hands, very nice and friendly service despite the full beer garden.. we'll be happy to come back ...keep it up!!!

Great and tasty dishes with reasonable portions and prices. You can always get a second helping of potato salad, which is particularly delicious. To put it in. The schnitzel variations are particularly noteworthy. Many years of experience in the catering industry and the whole family works together. Dumplings with sauce for children are free. Very family friendly. There is engaging marketing with lots of backstory on social media. This attracts guests and makes the beach something special. We live right in the neighborhood and always like to come over. Keep it up.

We tested the “new” beach today and were extremely disappointed. We were there very often during Gläßl times and really like the inn. The map is very manageable as there is hardly anything on it. In the current heat, not even a salad plate etc. is offered. So we asked if we could get a large salad plate and a schnitzel and a Camembert. The waitress was neither friendly nor personable and neither wished you bon appetit nor asked how it tasted. As you can see in the picture, it is more of a small side salad than a large salad plate. Unfortunately, the salad was not fresh, but a fresh cut salad from a package that was “dressed” with peppers and chard. This is an absolute no go for us!!! The schnitzel lacks salt and pepper, the Camenbert was ok. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the beach. What a shame!

Unfortunately we were very disappointed, the smell in the house was unpleasant, the atmosphere wasn't nice, the prices were already high and the food lacked spice, nothing special for me..

If you're hungry, there are two options: either bring plenty of time (currywurst 80 minutes, crown meat 90 minutes despite "kron meat day") or the "mystery package" (just don't order anything and wait until the waiter brings a meal to the table that is actually for you Then choose what you like and say "here" several times in the evening). Zoigl nice and warm, white and brown bread from the package.

A special kind of inn, which is becoming increasingly rare these days. Great cuisine, the tenants are full of heart and passion and competent. This is where inns are lived and the customer is king and queen. And should it take longer, the cozy, warm atmosphere and ambience invite you to linger and chat. The prices are more than fair these days and we want such places where people can get together with good food and friendly service to last longer and not be forced to close, as so many have already done. For this reason, I'm happy to pay extra for any additional side dishes I order, such as a salad.

Tanja and Martin are undoubtedly the best tenants in the Marktredwitz gastronomy! Her passion for her project is obvious, as you could already see in Höchstädt at the Schlosshügel mountain restaurant with Tanja's coffee. They bring their creativity and attention to detail into every facet of their work, be it through the lovingly designed guest rooms or through cool activities. Their dedication is also reflected in the selection and training of their staff, who are always polite and attentive. The two take the time to respond to constructive criticism and implement it, which further improves the quality of their gastronomy. The warm and attentive service ensures that guests always feel welcome. Very tasty food in a rustic atmosphere, with a beer garden when the weather is nice.

Service was very nice. The only thing that really bothers me is that the side salad is charged extra. I have never experienced this anywhere else. Too bad 😔. I just read that this is also the new trick in Austria.

Today was schnitzel day. Tastes like home. Munich schnitzel a tip. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, after we weren't served at another inn, we had to spontaneously go to the beach. However, I have to say that although the mood was a bit depressed at the beginning thanks to the incident in the pub, the good food and the good service with nice cold drinks quickly lifted the mood. Very good price, very tasty (I tried everything that came to the table) and drinks properly chilled. The fries needed a little longer but otherwise everything was perfect. Sitting in the beer garden in the evening and drinking a nice cold Spezi was very pleasant. If it's always like that, we'll be happy to come back. Ps: I can only recommend the cheese spaetzle with fried onions and, as dessert, a few apple fritters with vanilla ice cream and cream.

Good bye! Were with you today, everything was fine. The food was very good. Price and service were also great. We'd love to come back. I've always loved going to the beach, regardless of the host. Was always very satisfied.

Everyone was nice and super friendly

If you read the other reviews we probably had a bad day. The waitress seemed slightly overwhelmed (although she was alone). The portions were very clear, but unfortunately you also had the feeling that neither the potato salad nor the rösti were homemade.

Went through today with 25 people. Service from Tanja and her daughter was great. Food was great too.

Good Bavarian cuisine with everything your heart desires at good prices. The beach schnitzel or the cordon bleu are highly recommended and I was told that the potato salad is also great. When it comes to schnitzel, the beach is my first choice in the surrounding area! --- Rating was under old owners. What the future will bring remains to be seen. I hope a worthy successor can be found.

Very sober. Schnitzel with fries lukewarm and very clearly distributed on the plate. The loin, i.e. the leftovers from the preparations for the evening, were covered with a little herb butter. In short, a disappointment across the board. A little tip on the side if you have a larger event in the evening and the preparations don't allow time to present good and decent food. It would be better to leave it alone. Our visit was on December 14, 22 at around 12:15

Super Essen. Ideenreich serviert.Fisch wäre mal Interessant mit in die Karte zu nehmen. Könnte aber auch Saison abhängig sein.

We were looking for a place to have lunch and looked at trip advisor for some in the area. It had some.good reviews so we tried.it. The food is nothing to rave about, average, not good , not bad....the waitress was friendly.

Essen gut und reichlich. Wollte sechs Flaschen des selbstgebrauten Bieres mitnehmen, 2.80 Euro pro Flasche wäre der Mitnahme-Preis gewesen. Irgendwie unverschämt... Es gab auch keinen "Schnaps aufs Haus" und es wurde auch sonst nix "abgegriffen". Und ja, Sie können für Ihr Bier für den "Außer Haus Verkauf" verlangen, was Sie wollen. Kauft nur niemand, dafür gibt es dann den Supermarkt oder die lokale Tankstelle (dort gibt es Ihr 🍺 übrigens für 1.50!

Sehr leckeres Essen und freundliche Bedienung!

Die Portionen sind reichlich. Essen war sehr gut, die Soßen waren sehr gut abgestimmt. Es gab leckeres Holzfällersteak, Schnitzel und Pfifferlinge mit Schweinefilet. Auch sehr gut mal für das Auge angerichtet. Hier würde ich auf jeden Fall noch mal wieder hin kommen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, selten so gutes Essen bekommen. Die Bedienung ist super nett und geht auf die Wünsche der Kunden ein.

Sehr leckeres, fränkisches Essen. Mit Liebe zubereitet. Das Team gibt sich sehr Mühe, auf die Wünsche der Kundschaft einzugehen. Besonders unter den aktuellen Corona-Umständen kann man hier ein tolles Essen in gewohnter Qualität zum Mitnehmen bestellen. Daumen hoch und weiter so!

Also ich war heute das erste mal seit dem wechsel dort.. und ich muss sagen ich bin sehr Positiv überrascht. Das essen SEHR SEHR lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich :). Jägerschnitzel war überragend gemacht nur leider für mich zu viel (was ja nicht negativ ist) einfach TOP!

Super leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen in uriger Atmosphäre. Wir gehen hier wieder essen! Wenn jemand „Wartezeiten“ für frisch zubereitetes leckeres Essen bemängelt, dann sollte derjenige lieber zu McDonalds, zur nächsten Dönerbude oder zum Imbiss gehen..., alle Anderen sollten das Essen in diesem Restaurant genießen.

Ein fantastisches 500 Gramm Roastbeef mit Folienkartoffel zu einem sehr guten Preis. Optisch gut zubereitet und fantastisch im Geschmack. Es lohnt sich vorbeizuschauen. Einrichtung rustikal, aber der Inhalt Mega 👌✅

Wieder ein schöner Abend mit super leckerem Essen. Das Personal ist wie immer sehr freundlich und wirklich schnell. Der neue Wirt Mario ist wieder eine Bereicherung für die gute zünftige Küche, die hier immer seltener wird.

Gutes Essen, aber sehr kange Wartezeit. Haben leider 50 Minuten aufs Essen warten müssen. Und als die ersten Getränke leer waren gab es auch keinen Nachschub....

Nehme die Wartezeit gern ich Kauf, wenn ich nen gutes und frisches Essen will (sollte halt im Rahmen einer Stunde liegen) Kann keine Einwände erheben. Menge hat gepasst. Ich wurde satt und komme gerne wieder 😉

Auch wir mussten eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Das Essen war dann okay, aber nichts besonderes.

Leckeres Essen, passende Preise und angenehmes Ambiente. Es gibt einen neuen Wirt, der dem Essen noch den richtigen Pfiff gibt. Die Wartezeiten werden hier von einigen maßlos übertrieben. Ich habe hier noch nie länger warten müssen, wie in anderen Restaurants. Auffällig: Die Portionen sind zu groß. Noch dazu muss man sagen, dass sich der neue Wirt und sein Team erst einspielen mussten und man nicht erwarten kann, dass man sein Essen innerhalb von 15 Minuten erhält.

Seitdem der Pächter gewechselt hat, ist das Essen und die Speisekarte nicht mehr vergleichbar. Essen und vor allem die Auswahl war vorher besser. Zusätzlich sind die Preise ein wenig erhöht worden. Der Service ist ok, jedoch mussten wir ca. 70 min auf unser Essen warten (es waren sehr wenig andere Gäste da)

Wir hatten eine Empfehlung für den neuen Wirt bekommen und hatten eine andere Speisekarte erwartet und zumindest etwas größer. Die Erwartungen bei den gehobenen Preise wurden nicht erfüllt, da waren wir vier Personen uns einig. Das Ambiente und der Service waren ok.

Nach einem Spaziergang eine kurzfristige Entscheidung, hier einzukehren. Zurückhaltender Service. Da die Gaststube gut gefüllt war, ist der Geräuschpegel entsprechend. Leider war das Essen auch nur befriedigend. Zu geschmacksneutral.

Leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal und mein Wunschgericht wurde mir sogar zusammengestellt. Rechtzeitig hingehen, die Plätze sind gut nachgefragt.

Kleine Gaststätte - doch genau das macht deren Charme aus. Getränke- und Speisenauswahl reichlich, Preis für die Essensportionen sehr gut. Das Essen ist qualitativ hochwertig, man merkt dem Koch/Wirt seine Herkunft und Handwerk an! Der Service war sehr gut und bemüht. Bei zu erwartenden Stoßzeiten am besten einfach reservieren.

Wer bayrisches Essen mag ist hier genau richtig! Jedoch gibt es auch eine Handvoll vegetarische Gerichte. Jeden Mittwoch gibt es die lokale/regionale Spezialität "Kronfleisch" (Zwerchfell vom Rind) in der Sud oder gegrillt. Eigentlich ist jedes essen zu empfehlen und lecker, jedoch das Kalbsschnitzel und der Sauerbraten besonders zu empfehlen. ... Die Portionen sind sehr groß und das Preisleistungsverhältniss absolut top!

Auf den Punkt genau gebraten wurde das leckere Rumpsteak heiß serviert , Ein Traum und mit netten Leuten in den sehr schönen kleiner Lokal wurde der Abend Unvergessen ! Top und Vielen Dank ! Empfehlung ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I happened to find myself in this town called Marktredwitz on business. It is close to the Czech border off Highway 93. If ever you happen to be near there, go visit the town and have dinner at the Am Strand. Almost everything was closed but this place opened at 5pm. We went for a beer and wurst and came back around 6. You walk through a small door that says "Gastzimmer" which I think means sitting room or coffee room. The decor is very local with tables and a few round tables for groups. We were told about a specialty which is called "KronFleish" which is the diaphragm of the cow. In English it is the skirt steak. It was chewy but had great flavour. Came with spaetzle, a classic German noodle. A nice fresh salad and an apple strudel for dessert. With .5 l of wine came out to less than 40 euros. Probably the most authentic and genuine German meal I had in some time.

This restaurant is attached to the Nothhaft brewery down by the river. You can dine either inside or in the patio area which is well protected against rain. Beer and food are both good and staff friendly and efficient.
