We saw it on a boat tour and then went there by land the next day. First we enjoyed drinks and bratwurst in the self-service beer garden with a wonderful view. After our tour of the castle and the other buildings there, we went back to the dairy for dinner and got a seat inside. Great atmosphere, very friendly service and the burger was absolutely well prepared and tasty. The Berliner boulette with cucumber/potato salad was also very good.

We reserved a table the day before because the weather promised the restaurant would be full. On site it became clear that the idea was correct. After a short wait the table was available for us. The beer was good, the burger was very good. The service was friendly and the prices were fair.

Fantastically beautiful ambience directly on the Havel with a view of the water! There is a restaurant and a beer garden. You can sit beautifully right by the water and just enjoy it. There is home-brewed beer. Food is a bit expensive... Sauce from the currywurst is very thin. Portions also relatively small... Apple crumble was tasty but a really mini portion... Good 4 stars!

When the weather was nice on Sunday, the outdoor area was well filled, the indoor area was empty. It took a very long time until the service came. I don't know whether her behavior was intended to represent Berlin-Brandenburg snark or whether she was actually consistently unfriendly and overwhelmed by the presence of guests. The ambience is nice, but rude behavior from the waiters should not be tolerated. A very nice location. It's 8:30 p.m. and there are still 80 people sitting in the beer garden alone. We are visitors to Potsdam and are completely disappointed that you can no longer order food after 8 p.m. The last round starts at 8.30 p.m. and it is immediately pointed out that the eviction is at 9 p.m. So in high season we had 30 minutes for a “cozy” drink. The weather cooperates, it really is summer and the owner is also losing sales. The business idea is difficult to understand. A pity.

Beautiful place next to the lake, the view is wonderful, the service is very friendly, I thought that since it was a brewery it would have variety, but that is not the case, the beer is craft, I did not eat there.

I can't say anything about the food because there was a closed party in the restaurant. I then wanted to buy a beer at the self-service snack bar, but received a very unfriendly and abrupt answer that there would be no more beer because it was closed, which was not obvious. Although the sales hatch was not yet closed and I politely asked if I could get anything else to drink as I was very thirsty, I was rudely refused. You just don't treat people like that!!! The wonderful location of the beer garden didn't comfort me either.

We were prepared for a nice stop, but only the kiosk was open. It wasn't clear in the brewery guide that Tuesday was a day off. It's a shame. We're big fans of beer culture!

Visited again for about 3 years, quality in everything has not only been maintained but improved. Anyone who loves traditional walls with great regional food and beer from their own brewery should visit the dairy. There is a free view of the expansive Havel. Clear recommendation to visit.

We were there in a group of 8 people at 8:40 p.m. in great weather and just wanted a drink, which unfortunately was denied to us. It's a shame when you no longer need it.

The Maibock beer is a revelation! The boulette with potato salad was equally impressive. Quirky, like so many things in Berlin Brandenburg, the rule is that the boulette cannot be served outside. But as a Berliner you are used to that. A lovely place with a fantastic beer! The visit is worth it!

Der Service im Selbstbedienungsbereich der Terrasse war ausgesprochen unfreundlich und schlecht. Es wurde ausdrücklich eine Meierei Weisse bestellt (ausdrücklich wiederholt, das konnte man bis auf die Terrasse am Tisch hören- hingestellt wurde ein Weizen. Auf den Hinweis zur fehlerhaften Ausführung der Bestellung erfolgte nur ein barsches, das könne nicht mehr geändert werden, sei ja schon eingebongt. Auch Gäste in der Schlange bestätigten die Bestellung einer „Berliner Weissen“. Es war lediglich einem dieser freundlichen Gäste zu verdanken , dass das Weizen weiter verkauft werden konnte…

A very beautiful piece of earth. Well suited for a beer break, but the food wasn't that great, although I can only speak of the Meierei burger. It was nothing. The roll was sweet and didn't fit, the bottom part was too hard and didn't look appealing and neither were the fries (not worth 17 euros). But the starter with spread and bread was delicious. Boulette was great, potato salad was great. The service was great. All in all: you can do it, as I said: as a drink stop.

I absolutely do not understand the system, when the garden is open, you are not allowed to sit inside. There are much bigger businesses and it's not a problem. Disinterested staff. At least you can buy drinks and simple food outside at the stand.

Only the snack bar is open on Tuesdays. So far okay, but why isn't there a single protein-containing vegetarian alternative to bratwurst/bulettes other than fries?

Der Backfisch, zwei mini-kleine hart panierte Fischhappen, die mit Backfisch aber auch nix gemein haben. Man erwartet ein Fischfilet von der Größe eines Filets und nicht zwei panierte Häppchen. Nachdem ich das moniert hatte, der Kellner war keineswegs verständnisvoll, kamen dann drei! Happen von der gleichen Sorte. Hart frittiert, ungenießbar. Der Kartoffelsalat hatte auch einen Stich, bzw. schmeckte als wäre er zu lange draußen gestanden... Das Personal wenig emphatisch , man riet mir mit Bier nachzuspülen ! Bier und Aussicht wunderbar, aber gegessen wird nächstens woanders!

After a visit to Cecielienhof Castle, 8 of us went to the dairy. The ambience is great, the range of food and drinks is varied and tasted very tasty. The service was very attentive and friendly. We can only highly recommend the dairy.

A place where you can rest after a day's walk. There is a good atmosphere in the middle, there is an opportunity to sit at the tables near the reservoir. It is strange that the waiter said that it is not possible to order food in the restaurant, and the dining room is located on the street and has a rather limited selection.

The waitress! walked past our table four times without greeting us! We left the fifth time, especially after the waitress immediately served guests who came after us!!! We would have loved to have something to drink and eat, difficult if the waitress doesn't pay attention to you. Surely it wasn't because we have a different skin tone!?! A friendly greeting would have been enough for us. It's called a 'restaurant', but the staff doesn't know how to be hospitable!

Today, the first warm day of spring, we, as old Potsdam residents, took us through the new garden and were amazed that the dairy was open. It's absolutely a dream to come there. Very well maintained and already planted like spring. You should enjoy this beautiful atmosphere and take it home with you. We will be back.

Today it wasn't as great as usual. The waitress was a bit off. The food wasn't really great. The beer was amazing as always. We're actually used to better things there, but everyone can have a bad day. Hopefully it will be great again next time.

A great place for a break, either inside or on the terrace, with, perhaps, one of Germany’s best beers! A micro-brewery for the past 20 years, this place offers one of the creamiest, smoothest lager and stout that I’ve had in Germany! The food is also not bad and the service almost friendly (especially compared to Berlin). I recommend buying some corked beer bottles to take home!

Landed there spontaneously today to stop for food and drink. Strolled past many reserved tables and had to proactively approach the wait staff to find out where you could sit down. We were deliberately ignored in advance or the wait staff walked past us. The answer was short and succinct: “Where there are no reservations”. My question wasn't really welcome. After I and my companion discussed where it would be best for us to join them, I was bumped into by a deputy on her way back to the counter. After so much unfriendliness we decided to leave immediately! I just say service hell Germany, that was completely confirmed again today! Incomprehensible!!

We have gone many times with friends who visit the city and it had been a nice experience until the last time. We were told there were simply no tables, but we saw that there were a couple unoccupied; We thought they just wanted to clean them. It should be noted that the staff was very moody and apparently there was no desire to serve us. We decided to have a beer outside to wait for tables to become free, as we did on another occasion, but we returned and nothing. However, the tables we saw were free before we went out to the patio and had already been occupied with people who had just arrived; a lack of respect. Why didn't they want to serve us? We never understood it. The worst customer service I have ever seen in my life, it seems like they are doing you a favor by serving you. Everything good that the place may have is lost by its inattentive and rude staff. If you don't speak German, be prepared, because you will be served even worse. I wish Gordon Ramsey or some gringo expert in customer service would intervene. Potsdam has great tourism potential, but many suppliers are not ready for this conversation.

Wir waren im Sommer hier in Biergarten um uns kurz zu stärken während einer Fahrradtour. Die Location direkt am See ist natürlich das Highlight. Wie andere schon schrieben sind die Preise etwas höher als normal. Ob man hier zum Abendessen gehen sollte weiß ich nicht. Selbstbedienung draussen finde ich gut, muss man nicht auf die überlasteten service Kräfte warten.

Wir kommen oft hierher zum Essen, die Bedienung ist im Allgemeinen gut und das Bier ist auch sehr gut. Ich kam diesen Sonntag zum Mittagessen und man wollte mich nicht bedienen, weil wir 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder waren. Anscheinend waren wir so viele. Eine Menge Ärger für die Bedienung.....

Sehr voll und dem Ansturm am Sonntag im Februar nicht gewachsen. Biergarten ist noch geschlossen, der hätte entlastet. Essen sah gut aus

Wir waren im Außenbereich des Restaurants - Lage und Aussicht sind natürlich super, auch das Personal war sehr freundlich. Enttäuscht waren wir vom Essen, bei dem Preis und Leistung weit auseinander lagen. Wir hatten den Burger mit "Tomate vom Grill" und Krautsalat - das sind nicht etwa die Beilagen, sondern ein Scheibchen Tomate und etwas Kraut sind der einzige Belag des Burgers. Etwas mager für den Preis.
