We've been regulars at Mea Culpa for a long time. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. We especially enjoyed the wine of the month. We always enjoy coming back.

The food is delicious! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Simply fantastic!

A really delicious and interesting restaurant

...for many years, they've offered delicious, good food adapted to German tastes, with a good selection of different tapas and other delicacies. It's just a shame that our favorite white wine, "Masia Freyé," which was on the menu for years, is no longer available. Best regards, A. Nickel

We had been recommended this restaurant and were not disappointed. The service was attentive, friendly, and the food was simply excellent. We ordered a variety of tapas, all of which were excellent. We definitely recommend it.

We were at Mea Culpa for a 50th birthday party. Even the reservation was extremely pleasant, and Maddy's advice was excellent. In the evening, we pre-ordered various tapas, all of which were delicious, perfectly cooked, and the wine was a wonderful complement. The attentive service (a man and Maddy) was particularly impressive. Even the guests who preferred water were recommended a great non-alcoholic alternative (rhubarb with mint). We felt very comfortable and would book again in a heartbeat. Delicious, convivial, tasty... we felt well looked after; the service here was exactly what you'd expect. High praise :-)

Absolutely excellent tapas, fresh bread, and a friendly staff. Quite centrally located. It's quite busy, and rightly so. We strongly recommend reserving a table.

I haven't been there in a very long time (I don't really know why)! Reserved a table (highly recommended) until "6:55 p.m.", ordered another (very tasty food and great wine), and then it was "6:55 p.m."! We sat over to the bar (very cozy) until "7:15 p.m." The food arrived at "7:10 p.m." And now? "You could sit outside!" Well then... with a blanket and cushion, ordered another wine... totally cozy! Great tapas bar in the middle of Potsdam, super friendly and attentive staff, good atmosphere, and the food... delicious! Please keep it up... we'll be back (not a threat)!

The two of us were there and had a fantastic evening. The tapas were delicious, the atmosphere was great, and everything was very cozy! Maddy, our waitress, is an absolute gem! All the meat dishes were dry. Tough. Lukewarm. As if they had been briefly reheated from the previous day. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them anymore!

A spontaneous visit...got a seat outside on the sidewalk. The service was very friendly, and the food and drinks were good. We would come back anytime.

We had a really negative experience at this restaurant tonight. The wait for everything was extreme, from getting our menus to receiving our food. Our orders were messed up as well, with missing items that never arrived. To top it all off, we were only told at checkout that they don't accept card payments, which is a huge inconvenience in this day and age. It was a very frustrating meal. I absolutly don't suggest this restaurant.

Unfortunately, we are very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We had specifically reserved a table in advance and were looking forward to a pleasant evening. When we arrived, we were assigned a table that was completely uncomfortable—so much so that we couldn't sit there. When we asked the service staff about it, they simply replied that they couldn't help us. We found this extremely unprofessional and disappointing, a complete lack of service! Based on this experience, we will not be visiting this restaurant again in the future!

Tourist trap. The tapas are tiny, simple and expensive considering the amount you get. Paid ~40€ only for myself and wouldn't say I satisfied my hunger. Waited long for our food, and they forgot about our re-orders. Waitress insisted us to fully pay something she brought us accidently (we had mixed tapas so we hadn't noticed before she came). If you have loads of time, don't care about the serving chaos, and only want to have a drink, it's ok. But if you're looking for a recommendable place to dine, especially if you're hungry, I'd rather give it a 'no'.

We were just really unlucky with the service that day. We waited 1.5 hours for our food for 6 people. The staff was so stressed, but very friendly. We made the best of the situation. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, we wouldn't go back.

Awesome shop!!! End of November for December 24th. Reserved a table, which was also confirmed by email. It was great joy that we got a table on Christmas Eve and were able to eat deliciously. When we arrived at the restaurant shortly before 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, it was a big surprise. The restaurant was closed. So I called and announced that the restaurant was on vacation. I thought I was freaking out, where can I find a restaurant on Christmas Eve without a reservation??? Luckily we found a restaurant where we could eat deliciously. Why do you get a reservation confirmation despite company vacation??????????? Not possible at all!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately we were disappointed with our visit and we hope we just had a bad day. The shrimp from the oven were almost inedible - completely dry. The dip, which was served separately with the bread, tasted more like jam than a suitable side dish. The only bright spot of the evening was the wine (Martivilli), which was really good. Nevertheless, unfortunately this evening is not one we would like to remember. We would be happy to change the rating on our next visit. Hope it gets better.

Of course, all the talk is useless. Burgers are burnt and expensive, Burger King is better and cheaper, falafel and shawarma are the price of one, and chicken shawarma is no different. What falafel do you slaughter?!!

Large selection of tapas, with the possibility of having combined menus. Highlights were the grilled polp, the plums around bacons and jamon. Great red wines, as Merlot. Creme Catalan also pretty good. Applause to gentle staff too.

Small snacks at an expensive price but there's nothing wrong with it

We were invited...and what can I say?? We were completely satisfied, totally friendly and pleasant atmosphere and service. Food very tasty. Price performance also okay. We would be happy to come back the next time we visit Berlin.

They charge €1,50 for olive oil. Never do this if you call your place Spanish restaurant

The food is quite good, but things are different in Spain. Manchego is far too thin and therefore not enough on the plate. To eat, you have to hold the pieces in your hand and be able to recognize the cheese from the rind. That was just cheese design on the plate. Alioli with cheese was great. Everything else okay, but nothing special. The red wine was too warm - went back to chill. It's a shame that you have to constantly beg for the card and are often forgotten - with many tapas this is annoying and not good for sales. Please be a little more professional.

We were not satisfied with the price/performance ratio. 2 tiny pieces of spareribs for 12.50 EURO, a small piece of pulpo for 9.50 EURO and baguette of low quality and quantity. Sorry, I can't fully understand the many positive reviews. The chicken in lemon sauce was ok, the rabbit leg was a bit dry. Open Rosado ok but nothing more. We also don't like it when empty plates are hastily cleared away while we haven't quite finished.

Sorry, but that's not possible: just about 10 minutes ago (9:20 p.m.) I wanted to go out to eat in this location with my 6-year-old daughter (she's on vacation and we're on vacation here). When I asked the waiter if he still had a table, he replied that the kitchen closed at 9 p.m., the terrace was full, my daughter was holding my hand. She looked at me with huge eyes and just said: But Dad, I wanted to eat corn and shrimp and I was so looking forward to it. I looked at the waiter, who heard everything because he was standing right in front of me, and he just said: The kitchen has been closed since 9 p.m. Please what???? How can you deny a child food!!! she wanted corn and shrimp and not the whole menu. I find it absurd how people behaved here. That doesn't work at all. Hence this review!

Located on the street and parking lots, food was good. Not outstanding. But it's very expensive. 2 people, 2 wine and 2 beers + food 95€. We wouldn't do it again, there are Spaniards with better value for money

Mea Culpa is my favorite Tappas restaurant in Potsdam. The food is great, I love the changing tappas of the month. The service is always attentive and totally friendly.

Despite the restaurant being full, we got a seat without a long wait. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, which further enhanced the evening. One aspect that is often overlooked and, in my opinion, very important is sanitation. By 9:40pm the toilets were clean and tidy, which says a lot about the care and standard of the restaurant. We were there for the first time and were really impressed. Attentive service, delicious tapas and great ambience and surroundings. It's just a shame that you don't live around the corner and therefore probably won't be able to go there again very soon.

I've been eating here every now and then for many years. Very good tapas, friendly service, always a bit noisy inside otherwise very cozy. Be sure to make a reservation, otherwise there is rarely a maximum of space at the bar, which is nice.

The extra picual oil and the bread were excellent. The octopus, for my taste, is a short portion with a tense and chewy texture, which could surely be improved; For value for money I would not recommend it at all. The accompaniment of black aioli is well prepared and tasty.

11/23 Netter Service, leckeres Essen - hatten einen schönen Abend. Reservieren von Vorteil - ist abends sehr gut besucht.

.... wir hatten einen ( für uns ) amüsanten Auftakt an unseren Tisch.. in meiner Speisekarte waren die Einlegeblätter nicht ganz fertig eingeschoben.. da ich selber in diesem Bereich arbeite... empfand ich dies als lustigen "Test" für eine mögliche Anstellung ;) .. bestanden hatte ich auf jeden Fall. Weiter ging es mit Runde 1.des Tappasauftaktes mit der Kaninchenkeule und den leckeren Longdrink Likör 43 und Rhabarbersaft ...Beides war vorzüglich und wir kamen aus dem Genießen von Oliven in Kräutermarinade und vielen anderen Leckerreien die köstlich zubereitet waren gar nicht mehr raus. Auch waren die Zeiten für das bringen der Getränke und Speisen top in Ordnung...gut dass wir schon gegen 18.00 Uhr da waren...und reserviert hatten, denn ab da füllte sich das Restaurant bis auf den letzten Platz. Ganz lieben Dank an Euch alle für die stets freundliche Begegnung. Kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag.. ich finde es gibt noch leckerer Baguettes in spe... und beim Ambiente fehlt mir nich etwas ..aber das rückt bei all den schönem Aspekten sehr weit in den Hintergrund. Wir wünschen Euch weiterhin viel Raum für tolle Begegnungen.

Wir hatten Glück auch ohne Reservierung ein Tisch bekommen. Sehr netter Service von Heike.Das Essen (Tapas) war sehr lecker. Wirklich zu empfehlen. Wer sicher einen Platz haben will, sollte aber vorher reservieren.

Wir waren kurzentschlossen zu zweit am Abe d dort eingekehrt. Es empfiehlt sich jedoch einen Tisch zu reservieren. Wir hatten wirklich Glück noch einen Tisch im Außenbereich zu bekommen. Leider sitzt man in den Stühlen sehr ungemütlich und sehr tief zum Tisch. In der Zeit, die wir dort aßen, sind zwei Pärchen von reservierten Tischen wieder aufgestanden und haben die Lokalität wegen der "unangemessenen" Sitzqualität verlassen. Ansonsten kann ich den Monatswein empfehlen!

Gemütliches Restaurant um Tapas zu essen. Unweit der Fußgängerzone. Sehr leckere Tapas. Mir hat besonders der gegrillte Pulpo und Zander geschmeckt. Auch der Weißwein war sehr lecker. Der Service war wirklich sejr freundlich und auf Zack, trotz dem es total voll war. Unbedingt reservieren. Abends findet man auf jeden Fall in der Nähe einen Parkplatz.

Tolles Ecklokal mit super leckeren Tapas! Um 16.30 waren wir ohne Reservierung gerade no h früh genug dran und konnten einen Tisch ergattern. Ansonsten sollte man auch unter der Woche reservieren. Wir haben quer durch die Karte bestellt und mussten nicht lange warten. Herrlich!! Große Empfehlung. (Habe nur leider keine Bilder gemacht)
