Good service, reasonable price. Taste is definitely made for Germans, not spicy enough. To my taste, it was kind of watered down. 18€/person for two mains and 2 mango lassis.

I don't see why this restaurant has such high ratings. It is just a mediocre place. The food is ok, but nothing special and can't be compared to Indian food you have in England. The portions are small for the price. You do have to note that all main dishes come with rice. Very disappointing that it is CASH ONLY. The staff doesn't speak German.

Just great!!! Attention, cash payment only. The service is incredibly friendly. A gentleman who showed me goodwill and was very polite - is unfortunately rare in Berlin and increases the impression of a restaurant immeasurably. The food is very tasty. Chicken Tikka is recommended. Crunchy vegetables, tender chicken. Well seasoned. Good portion. The food came relatively quickly. Served on a hot plate (see video). The ambience is modern with warm lighting and soft music in the background. Very pleasant. Highly recommended 💜✨️

I had a very good time. The restaurant is nicely decorated and cozy. The food was delicious and the service was extremely attentive. The dips with the papadam were my highlight. Super good! I will certainly come back!

Attracted by the ratings and the number of reviews, we let ourselves be tempted by this restaurant and were very disappointed. The quantities are small if you are hungry... a small bowl of rice for 2 for example. The food is good without being extraordinary but for example they add tofu in the chicken korma (probably to use less chicken). The dahl was good but really not very filling... The naans are really not that great... (don't get the cheese naan, it's just grated cheese added on top). The wait before coming to take our order and then serving us was very long... In short, the experience was far from our expectations, especially with a rating of 4.7... I don't recommend.

The place has amazing chane bathure! The lady is super sweet and if you are an Indian she will make sure you have authentic spice level. The atmosphere is also chill and not at all over the top. Totaly love the chole bhature!

Great location, close to Eberswalder Straße but not on the main street. The two of us ate very deliciously, vegetarian and vegan were no problem. Would love to come back.

One of the best place i have ever visited in Germany

The food was delicious. My girlfriend and me came for a dinner and we loved the atmosphere. We had a confusion because we had a voucher which we wanted to use but we couldn't because we didn't read carefully the instructions. However the owner was very kind to us and helped us to solve our problem. At the end we were very happy with our choice because of the food and service :)

Our visit to Meena Kumari Indian Restaurant was an overall positive experience, although there were some mixed impressions. The food was excellent - we particularly enjoyed the Mango Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo. The mango lassi was also outstanding and is definitely recommended. We were particularly impressed by the waiter's goodwill: Even though we had neglected to mention the Berlin WelcomeCard when ordering, he still gave us the 25% discount. We found this service-oriented attitude to be very positive. The general ambience of the restaurant was also pleasant and contributed to a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the female waitress was noticeably lacking in service. She seemed harsh, sometimes unfriendly and seemed uncommitted. Her absent behavior - including wearing headphones during the service - was inappropriate for her role and spoiled the overall impression. Another unusual point was that we were told there was no coffee, even though we were sure we saw a large coffee machine and matching cups next to the bar. That seemed a bit strange and left questions. Thanks to the excellent food and the professional, accommodating attitude of the waiter, we still give it 5 stars. However, if the female waiter had been our sole impression of the service, we would have set the rating significantly lower.

The butter chicken was good (also halal) not the best to be honest. The bathura was very tasty. Very friendly staff! I particularly loved the atmosphere. I appreciate the waiter mentioning that they only accept cash before I ordered.

The place is beautiful in its ambiance and service. I love Indian good and I try to explore new places for the same. This is not a typical Indian restaurant with all the so a lot of pics of Indian places, but a really calm and soothing interior. The candle on the table tops it off making a place perfect for candle light dinner and a place to spend quality time with your loved ones. I ordered panner Jhalfrezi, which was okay, but I would expect better in terms of taste from a restaurant like that. Other than that, the Starter platter and Papadam was great in taste. I would recommend it as the hospitality of the staff was amazing, the place is nice overall with great mango lassi. One more thing, they only accept cash payments!!! So, have some with you, otherwise the EC machine will charge you a lot of fee.

My friend and I didn’t like the food at this restaurant. For us, the food lacked flavor. We were very excited for the chicken biryani, but we didn’t find the traditional biryani flavors in it. For us, it tasted like a complete different dish.

The food was a little boring and we didn’t get everything we ordered.

Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us at all. Unfortunately, everything tasted very lacking in spices and the ingredients were equally unconvincing. The ambience and service were very nice and inviting. Probably wouldn't come back.

We have known and visited the restaurant for years; We have never left it dissatisfied. Always friendly service, always good food, always at moderate prices.

We ate here as a family and were sadly a bit disappointed by the subpar service and food after reading the great reviews. After we ordered our drinks, they came out slightly wrong (not a big deal when ordering for a group of 6), but after that it took forever for the server to come to our table again to take our order even though we were visibly waiting and the restaurant wasn't full. It took a rather long time for the food to arrive as well. The food was not bad except for any dishes labelled as "mild". I'm bad with spicy food so I chose one of those, but that doesn't mean I can't handle any spices or taste at all! The curry didn't taste mild but completely bland. Other food was fine though. Sadly, when it came to paying we were informed it was cash only. I'm sure most customers would appreciate being told this before or even right after ordering, and because we waited so long for our food one of us could have easily gone to the atm to fetch some cash while waiting. Instead, this further prolonged our visit unnecessarily.

Smallest portions mankind has ever seen. One small rice bowl for two people (the bowl is not even enough for one person, it's that small). Food is okay but just the very average German-adapted stuff that is served everywhere else with nothing particularly interesting on the menu.

Hier gibt es sehr gutes indisches Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Wir hatten eine Vorspeisenplatte und als Hauptspeise ein vegetarisches Gericht und ein Gericht mit Hühnchen.

Sorry to say our food was very poor - bland and not particularly fresh. Then at the end the dreaded "cash only" which (even by Germany's appalling standards for card payments) is just ridiculous for a Berlin city centre restaurant in 2024. Avoid.

We are very satisfied with the friendliness of the employees. The map seems a bit confusing at first glance. But there are a lot of delicious things on here. In the end we were pleasantly surprised by the large portions. The meat was very well done, neither dry nor mushy. The sauces were not overly seasoned and tasted balanced and very tasty. The prices were also relatively good
