Tolles, mediterranes Essen - wir saßen im draußen im schönen, schattigen Biergarten, der Service war sehr aufmerksam und die Speisenauswahl bot für jeden das passende. Auch auf vegane Sonderwünsche wurde problemlos eingegangen und die Speisen entsprechend angepasst. Sehr gute Pizza, großartige Pasta, Ambiente 10/10! Absolute Empfehlung!

Also, so ein nice place, herrlich, schöne Terrasse mit Sonnen und Schattenplätzen, am kleinen See. Wir waren mit 8 Personen, wollten etwas trinken und essen- leider war Mittagspause und nur Getränke möglich......aber nach einem kurzen Schwatz, hatten die Gastronomen Mitleid mit uns Ausgehungerten....es gab eine Megaplatte Antipasti und ein Brett mit verschiedenen Pizzen.....mega lecker, super freundlich! Das nenne ich Gastronomie mit Leib und Seele! 5 Sterne top verdient!

Super tolles Ambiente, mit einem sehr sympathischen Betreiber. Hatte ein Steak, war super, jedem wärmstens weiter zu empfehlen.

Eine tolle Location um eine gute Zeit zu verbringen. Es gibt einen riesigen Biergarten sowie Innneplätze. Außerdem ist ein Spielplatz vorhanden, wo sich die Kinder tummeln können. Die Karte besteht aus einem Wendeblatt. Sie ist übersichtlich gestaltet. Meistens gibt es noch eine handgeschriebene Spezialkarte. Preislich ist alles im Rahmen. Das Personal sehr sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich und geht auf Wünsche ein. Gerne wieder.

Am Telefon versichern lassen, dass das Gericht vegan ist. Zu Hause festgestellt dass dem leider nicht so ist. Viel Geld für nichts ausgegeben. Nie wieder. Service super chaotisch

Dieses Restaurant ist der absolute Tiefpunkt der deutschen Gastronomie. Überall im Essen sind Haare, und für jedes Gericht wird dasselbe Besteck benutzt. Seien Sie auf den missbilligenden Blick des Kellners gefasst, wenn Sie etwas anderes bestellen als das, was auf der Karte steht. Ach ja, und Sie brauchen ihm nicht die Namen der Gerichte zu nennen, sondern einfach die von Ihrem Zimmer. Schließlich servieren Sie hier keine chinesische Küche.

Zuerst haben wir gar nicht bemerkt, dass in den Spaghetti auch andere Nudelsorten waren. Aber in den anderen Nudeln, die wir bestellt hatten, war ein langes schwarzes Haar. Und uns war der Appetit verdorben.

Bester Italiener mit schönem Ambiente in der Gegend und dementsprechend sehr gut besucht und das Personal ist sehr ausgelastet, aber dafür relativ gut organisiert. Sehr schöner Biergarten am Wasser. Dieses Jahr wurden auch die unbequemen Stühle draußen ausgewechselt. Die neuen sind sehr bequem. Kleiner Tipp an die Inhaber: In der Speisekarte bei Pasta gibt's tw. Gerichte mit Parmesan. Bei anderen steht nichts von Parmesan und es kommt trotzdem mit Parmesan. Dann besser gleich mit dazu schreiben.

Das Essen und das Ambiente waren schön und gut nur hast alles viel viel zu lange gedauert. Obwohl wir reserviert hatten. Insgesamt über 3 Stunden für Vorspeise, Hauptgang und dann noch eine längere Wartezeit zum Bezahlen.

Servus - wir waren dort mit unserem Buam essen und es war herrlich. Ein sehr schöner Biergarten, sehr freundliche Bedienung, Top Essen und ein schöner Spielplatz für Kinder. Absolut Empfehlenswert !! Wir kommen wieder !! :)

Das Essen samt Dessert und Kaffee hat uns gut geschmeckt. Das wäre des Guten genug, es kam aber besser. Als man erfuhr, dass wir zum Bahnhof laufen wollte, wurden wir promt vom Besitzer kutschiert. Vielen herzlichen Dank!

Ich war vor zwei Wochen zum ersten Mal mit meiner Mutter bei euch essen. Der Biergarten ist wirklich schön und das Essen war gut. Leider hat die Bedienung beim Bezahlen versucht, uns 3€ zu viel zu berechnen. Sie ging offenbar davon aus, dass wir bar zahlen, nannte einen bestimmten Betrag und war dann sichtbar unzufrieden, als ich mit Karte zahlen wollte. Danach verlangte sie plötzlich 3€ weniger. Das ist mir erst im Nachhinein aufgefallen. Insgesamt sehr schade, da es einen bitteren Beigeschmack hinterlässt- deshalb werden wir leider nicht wiederkommen.

Man kann einfach entspannen und ein Bier trinken. Der nahegelegene See, in dem es von Mücken wimmelt, verschönert die Landschaft. Im See gibt es sogar erstklassige Enten und riesige Fische.

Wir waren mit 13 Personen zum Abendessen. Da wir im Biergarten reserviert hatten, hat es leider nach ca. 30 Minuten zu regnen begonnen. Wir konnten aber ohne Probleme nach innen umziehen und dort essen. Die einzelnen Speisen u.a. Pizza, Nudelgerichte und Lasagne waren geschmacklich sehr gut. Nachdem es als wir gehen wollten immernoch geschüttet hat, bekamen wir alle Schirme zur Verfügung gestellt und wurden auch noch vom Chef zu unseren Autos begleitet. Er nahm dann auch noch die Schirme mit zurück ins Lokal. TOP SERVICE. VIELEN DANK

Als eingefleischte Handballfans besuchten wir am Pfingstsonntag 2026 ein Heimspiel des HSC 2000 Coburg. Nach dem Spiel verweilten wir noch ein wenig in der Veste-Stadt und sind zum Abendessen in das Restaurant MEDITERRAN gegangen. Trotz der guten Ausbuchung dieser Lokalität, bemühte man sich sofort um einen adäquaten Tisch für uns ( unser Sohn sitzt im Rollstuhl ) und hieß uns herzlich willkommen. Das schöne Ambiente, direkt am Wasser gelegen, gefiel uns - wie auch die äußerst zuvorkommende und aufmerksame Bedienung - sehr gut. Das Essen war richtig lecker und qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Preislich absolut in Ordnung und angemessen. Danke auch an die männliche Bedienung - ein original „Coburger Jung“ -, der uns zum Abschluss noch Insider-Ausflugstipps fürs Coburger Umland gab 👍. Kurzum: Ein tolles Restaurant mit leckeren Speisen und sehr netten Personal. Hier ist der Gast die wichtigste Person im Unternehmen und als solche kommt man gerne wieder. Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier zum Abendessen und waren absolut begeistert. Der Service war hervorragend, alle waren sehr freundlich, das Essen war sehr gut und die Atmosphäre toll. Leider kamen wir heute ohne Reservierung zurück und die Erfahrung war völlig anders. Wir verstehen, dass das Restaurant voll sein könnte, aber eine der Kellnerinnen teilte uns in einem sehr unhöflichen und unfreundlichen Ton mit, dass kein Tisch frei sei. Das ist wirklich schade, denn das Restaurant an sich ist sehr schön und unser erster Eindruck war so positiv. Kundenservice ist jedoch sehr wichtig, und so behandelt zu werden, lässt uns nicht wiederkommen wollen.

25 Minuten haben wir gewartet. Der Hörer wurde schnell weggelegt und gesagt: "Einen Moment, bitte." Super unprofessionell. Lieber woanders essen gehen. 👍🏻

Exzellentes italienisches Erlebnis Dieses Restaurant bietet ein wahrhaft wunderbares italienisches Esserlebnis. Die Atmosphäre ist warm und elegant und somit perfekt für jeden Anlass. Das Essen war hervorragend – frische Zutaten, perfekt gekochte Pasta, köstliche Pizza mit knusprigem Boden und die Fleischgerichte waren absolut außergewöhnlich – zart, geschmackvoll und auf den Punkt gegart. Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr professionell, sodass wir uns den ganzen Abend über wohlgefühlt haben. Insgesamt ein fantastischer Ort für authentische italienische Küche. Sehr empfehlenswert, und ich werde definitiv wiederkommen.

ist nicht der günstigste Italiener aber das Essen war wirklich top. Leider war der Service für mich absolut schlecht, ich habe eine vegetarische Pizza von der Special Karte bestellt, welche mit Schinken gebracht wurde. Ich hab die Servicekraft nett drauf hingewiesen, dass sie vllt die Karte ändern sollten oder die Pizza dann vegetarisch servieren sollten. Darauf kam keine Antwort sondern nur eine beleidigte Reaktion. Da hab ich bei so einem Lokal schon höhere Erwartungen an das Personal.

Waren zum Abendessen hier ohne Reservierung. Pizzen haben etwas länger gedauert (ca. 35 Minuten) aber dafür war es auch sehr gut. Leider der Rand etwas zu dick aber jedem wie es gefällt 👍🏻 Service war ok, Rechnungsbeleg gibt es erst auf Nachfrage. Außerdem war es auch sehr laut gewesen, viele Leute die schon 17.30-18 Uhr gekommen/ da waren. Man konnte leider nicht wirklich den anderen verstehen. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal besser.

ACHTUNG! ACHTUNG! Rechnungsbetrug! Als wir dem Kellner mitteilten, dass wir zahlen möchten, kam dieser ohne eine Rechnung und nannte uns einen Rechnungsbetrag. Dieser Betrag kam mir unerwartet hoch vor. Ich habe bezahlt und anschließend nach der gedruckten Rechnung gefragt. Diese war 10% geringer als der von dem Kellner genannte Wert. Er entschuldigte sich dafür und meinte, dass er uns mit einem anderen Tisch verwechselt hat. Leider ist uns das jetzt schon wieder passiert. Auch von Bekannten haben wir erfahren, dass sie das auch erleben mussten. Ist wohl eine Masche! ACHTUNG!

Obwohl das Restaurant voll war, war der Service schnell, die Speisen geschmacklich exquisit und die Vorspeisen wunderbar! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Mein Favorit war das auf einem Stein gegarte Rinderfilet.

We opted for the filet steak and the tiramisu. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the side dishes (especially the grilled vegetables) were fantastic. Even I, a meat lover, have to admit that. The desserts were also excellent. We'll definitely be back.

We've eaten at Mediterran several times and can wholeheartedly recommend it. From the ambiance to the food and service, we're completely satisfied. It also has a great beer garden and a large parking lot in the summer.

Unfortunately, our experience at Restaurant Mediterran was very disappointing. The food was okay... but nothing special; for the price, one can certainly expect more. In addition, we had to wait over an hour for our food (four pizzas, a salad, and a soup). When we mentioned the wait, we were simply told, "Tough luck." The staff were not only unfriendly but downright disrespectful and rude to the other guests. (Not just to us, but also to the next table!) Overall, a visit we definitely won't be repeating.

The food was mediocre but expensive, the service staff unfriendly to the point of being rude, and the atmosphere dingy. There were long waits for food. This wasn't a one-off experience, but after three complete disasters, I've had enough. Definitely NOT recommended.

We were there today, December 23, 2025, with six people (non-German speakers). The service was first-class. The food (even though the waiters confirmed they weren't Italian) was excellent. Highly recommended, but you should make a reservation, as other people have also discovered how great it is. We'll definitely be back!

The food is very tasty, but the prices are completely exorbitant for Coburg and the surrounding area. A wine spritzer costs €10.00, pizza averages €16.00, etc. The main reason for the poor rating is the service. We have never seen/experienced such unfriendly and annoyed staff. The dark-haired female waitress rolled her eyes and placed the drinks and food on the table without a word. The wait was approximately 1.5 hours. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

Disrespectful treatment of guests – extremely disappointing Back in August 2025, I made a reservation for our club at Pizzeria Mediterran in Coburg for November 2025, initially for 25 people. A week before the event, I informed the restaurant by phone that we would be coming with 30 people and mentioned that it was a club event. My request was that we sit together, but somewhat separated, as far as possible. I was told that, due to the restaurant's layout, a separate room would not be available for the group, which I accepted as long as the group could sit together somehow. The person I spoke to assured me that this would certainly be possible. However, on November 7, 2025, the day before the event, I received a call from the restaurant. This person was unfriendly from the start and spoke in a tone that was anything but welcoming. He repeatedly pointed out that it was Saturday evening and that he was expecting more guests. When I explained that the reservation had been in place since August, I was met with a sharp rebuke: "I don't give a damn when you made the reservation, even if it was 20 years ago!" Such a tone towards guests is simply unacceptable. Those who make a reservation early and with a firm commitment don't expect special treatment, but at least respect and courteous service. It's all the more incomprehensible that our group of 30 people, which contributes significantly to the restaurant's revenue on a Saturday evening, was treated so rudely. Clearly, they were focused on filling their own tables and being busy on a Saturday night, not on showing any respect for their guests. Before our event began, we brought up the incident again on-site and mentioned that a small gesture of apology would be appropriate. Indeed, the manager treated us to a round of schnapps after dinner, a nice gesture, but one that unfortunately doesn't erase the disrespectful treatment beforehand. ' ... It's a shame; I had positive memories of the restaurant until now, but after this experience, we're certain: our club will not be visiting it again. Christine Borens

The food was excellent. Despite having a reservation, we waited 20 minutes. The service was very rude and said, "You have to wait at the doctor's too." No apology, just insulting.

A very nice ambiance and absolutely fantastic food. The service is charming and always friendly, and it's important to them that guests feel comfortable. The dishes are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The price/performance ratio is perfect for me! Overall, simply excellent!

We come here several times a year and are always very satisfied with the food. The daily specials, in particular, are varied, creative, and truly delicious—the quality is evident here. The service is also friendly, and the system with the lamp on the table, which you can activate, works well. Just keep in mind that you have to ask for a table service; otherwise, you might not be asked about your preferences as often. It would also be nice to have a server serving you throughout, as the menu changes frequently these days. There is a slight deduction for the drinks menu in the non-alcoholic section. It lacks a few modern options, such as homemade lemonades, iced teas, or even Coke Zero. Overall, however, this is a highly recommended restaurant that we are happy to return to again and again. It would also be nice if online reservations were finally possible.

We were very disappointed with our visit to Mediterran. The wait times were extremely long – both for ordering drinks and placing our food order (over an hour), as well as for the food delivery itself (almost two hours). The prices are completely exorbitant for the service provided – a simple vegetarian pizza cost €17.10. The service was unfortunately inattentive and unfriendly. Definitely not an experience we would want to repeat.

The food is highly recommended. Upscale cuisine at reasonable prices and generous portions. Most of the wait staff and the chef are very friendly and customer-oriented. The ambiance isn't "classically Italian." The interior is divided into a sort of hall and an area very reminiscent of an Irish restaurant. But I don't see that as a negative! The outdoor area is nicely laid out, and when the weather's nice, the entire bar is also open outside. There's also an area with a playground for children. Unfortunately, you usually don't have a chance without a reservation!

We were there recently and had noodles. They were absolutely delicious, as always, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. I would go back again anytime. Simply top-notch!

I love eating there. The food ALWAYS tastes great, and the service is always there, even during busy times. Even if you grab something quickly, like on a Sunday evening, everything is packaged with love. Even the dessert! The chocolate mousse is worth sinning for... So I can only recommend the restaurant, whether with or without children, whether in the beer garden in summer or in the cozy interior. I simply love it.

Unfortunately, an extra plate wasn't provided. Our drink order was incorrect, and we had to wait 30-40 minutes for the bill. It wasn't just us who had this problem – we noticed it at other tables as well. The waitress who finally took the money seemed annoyed and rude. Conclusion: Top-notch food, beautiful location – but the service was a real mood killer in our case.

I was pleasantly surprised. The menu isn't large. It has all the essentials from a variety of dishes, and the prices are reasonable. Not like in my home country with 1,000 different pizza sizes. Just one large one for one price. It looks good and tastes good, too.

The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, almost like a short vacation in Italy. A huge compliment to the entire team – you do everything with so much passion, and you can feel it with every visit. For us, this is clearly the best Italian restaurant in Coburg!
