McDonald's in Schweitenkirchen

I ordered two cheeseburgers without pickles and waited 25 minutes. To make matters worse, one of the cheeseburgers had no cheese at all, and the other was filled with pickles.

This is by far the slowest McDonald's I have ever experienced. Their incompetence is unparalleled.

We were here for breakfast. Service was very quick and the staff was very friendly. The food was also excellent. The decor is modern, and there's a quiet corner with just a few tables.

We waited about 20 minutes for our order, even though it was small. The waiting room was cramped despite the large number of people. The floors were dirty, and the restroom was a paid service.

This McDonald's is completely undersized for a motorway service station! There are far too few staff, and above all, only two ordering kiosks, which regularly result in long queues. I certainly won't be stopping here again.

My personal opinion, especially since I bought a McDonald's rösti, was definitely not crispy, but almost raw. However, I also didn't feel like discussing the proper preparation of food with the "experts." For that kind of money, you should really go to a proper restaurant; there you actually get decent value for your money.

ZERO STARS I was passing through with my husband and a friend. This branch should be shut down!! Or maybe they should be properly trained before they're allowed to work there. My bun was so dry around the edges, it looked like it had been sitting out for days. My friend and I also had burnt buns, dry, overcooked meat, and hardly any sauce on our burgers. It's sad that despite a 3-star rating on Google, management apparently has no interest in changing anything. P.S. Our burgers ended up in the trash; what a waste of money.

The staff was inexperienced and hygiene was questionable. There was one server and one man in the kitchen, neither of whom seemed particularly enthusiastic about their work. The food was inedible. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here.

I was €10 short of change at the McDrive. When my girlfriend pointed this out to the employee, she was pushed away and insulted in Romanian. This kind of behavior is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. When I went to the restaurant to resolve the situation, the manager even said it was our own fault – instead of apologizing or properly investigating the matter. Honestly, this kind of customer treatment is unacceptable. This will definitely be our last time there – absolutely not a recommendation!

Absolutely incompetent, unfriendly, and unfriendly employees. We wanted to quickly order food at the drive-thru counter. The absolutely unfriendly employee insisted on splitting the bill between two bills. After we paid the first one, she gave us the change for the first bill and yelled at us that we hadn't paid the second one yet (she could have just kept our money and used it to pay the second bill?). Afterward, we checked both receipts, and unfortunately for our mistake, the change didn't add up. I then went to the counter with both receipts and politely asked her to quickly go over the bill with me. She snatched my receipts out of my hand, elbowed me several times in the shoulder, and stormed off with my receipts. I then went into the store and (still politely) asked the manager to check the bill with me and the employee. The employee insulted me, saying I was too stupid to count and that her children could do math better, and whispered and cursed in Romanian with the equally incompetent boss. Instead of calmly listening to the customer, they insulted her and pushed her. The boss was also a completely unfriendly woman. Disrespectful, disgusting behavior. When I asked for the employee's name and to check the camera to show her physical violence toward the boss, both of them refused. I could just go to the police, and they would see the footage :)

One of the worst Mac's ever. Totally disorganized, dirty, and cold fries. Since this is the second time this has happened, I won't be going there again.

I was not able to use WC, it requires you have exactly 1 euro coin. I had cash and card, but not 1 euro coin. They were unable to exchange money, or pay with card for toilet. Do not go here, if you expect to use WC.

Absolutely outrageous! You eat at McDonald's, spend money there, and then you're supposed to pay €1 to use the restroom. Is that even possible? Rip-off customers who are already consuming food is simply embarrassing and disrespectful. Zero service, the main thing is to squeeze out every last euro.

A MCD I wouldn't recommend. Low staffing levels, unpleasant atmosphere around the counter. Food arrived lukewarm after 20 minutes. No thanks...you don't need a MCD like that.

The service in this restaurant is absolutely terrible. The garbage trucks aren't changed at all, or very rarely, so the table next to them is overflowing, just like the garbage truck. The entire staff doesn't speak German, which makes communication completely difficult. Furthermore, the staff can't build burgers... we had two McDonald's, one with two tops and the other with two bottoms, and the chicken burger was missing the sauce. The staff also seems completely overwhelmed. We don't get served at the regular cash registers. An employee standing next to us saw us and didn't react. The whole thing probably lasted over five minutes. Her break was more important to her afterward; she immediately put the cigarette in her mouth after the food counter, grabbed her can of bread, and was gone. It was a miracle she didn't light the cigarette right there in the restaurant.

There are plenty of McDonald's, so it's better to head for the nearest one. The fries are cold, the wrap is half empty, etc.

The order was immediately deleted from the pickup system to improve statistics. The fries were old and cold. I got a burger with onions even though I ordered it without. The chili cheese had almost no sauce, and the meat was old and bone dry, inedible. It went in the trash after one bite.

Please leave before or after! Getting the wrong food (meat instead of veggie) and a bored shrug instead of a kind word or an apology: "It can happen, it's been busy today." Dirty tables and floors, terrible restrooms.

Why do you have an order status screen if you don't use it properly? My order was only displayed on the "in preparation" screen for 10 seconds. After that, it went straight to "Ready for pickup." Even so, I still had to wait almost 10 minutes before I could pick it up... And in the meantime, my number disappeared from the "Ready for pickup" screen. Instead, my number was called manually...

I had to wait 2+ hours for my food. I'll never order anything from here again.

A McDonald's as you'd expect, and yes, the food is getting progressively worse in terms of quality and quantity. The relatively long wait times are probably due to the lack of staff. Unfortunately, I don't speak the language (it sounded like English, but not English either), so I couldn't understand the staff. The atmosphere wasn't dirty, so 👍🏻.

Sorry, this is the worst McDonald's we've ever had a culinary experience. Actually, it doesn't even deserve a single star! The taste was more bad than good. Instead of the fries we ordered, we got fries. When we asked why, we were told, "We don't have any!" We didn't even get a refund for the difference. Then we got the wrong burger. The Coke tasted like black broth, tasteless and carbonated. And you even have to pay for the toilet!! Thankfully, never again!

This would require more staff at such a busy branch and better organization of work.

The worst McDonald's I've ever seen. I never thought they could go wrong there. The tables apparently aren't cleaned, the staff is extremely unmotivated, and the burger was dripping with grease and even had chunks of old meat that had probably been floating in the pan or deep fryer – once, never again!

If you have time and don't mind that it's dirty, the staff are overwhelmed, or just lazy. I tried it three times and was disappointed each time 😞. Is there no health department in Hof that checks?

I thought it was great! It wasn't crowded, the restrooms were incredibly clean and nice thanks to the self-cleaning system (it costs 1 euro, and the deposit can be used at the checkout). A very nice young gentleman at the checkout/server on September 9, 2025, around 7:50/8:00 p.m. Fast, friendly, excellent.

The food was anything but fresh. The service station for napkins, etc., was empty. One of the two ordering screens was out of order. Cleanliness left much to be desired, and the tables were dirty.

An absolute disaster – this sentence best describes my visit to this restaurant. Too few ordering options, resulting in very long waits, cold fries, and disgusting restrooms. The tables and benches outside were very dirty. The apple turnover I was offered and ordered was sold out by the end, which says it all! The restaurant can't be blamed for the annoying wasps and gulping customers who coughed up half their food, but it didn't exactly lift my spirits. All in all, a McDonald's experience to forget!

It's so crowded here on Sundays. But otherwise, everything's the same as usual. If it says McDonald's on the outside, it's actually McDonald's.

The tables and floor were dirty and filthy. Simply disgusting. The food was lukewarm. Happy Meal toys were only given out upon request. Charging a euro for such filthy restrooms is a disgrace. Never again.

Absolutely disgusting. The lady who served us was beyond unfriendly. She threw the burgers in a bag after I'd mentioned twice that I wanted to take them away and not eat there. When I returned, half of them were missing. The food was cold and almost raw. On the second attempt to finally get what we ordered and not something else, we got fed up. We left. There was a long queue, but the people working there preferred to get themselves a coffee first and drink it in peace before serving anyone.

The ice cream machine was broken, of course. It was also very dirty.

Our order via the app wasn't all included. The staff reviewed the order and only added some of the missing items. Even so, ketchup and sauce were still missing. By the time we checked the order, the food had already gotten cold... no replacement was offered, and no apology was forthcoming. The worst McDonald's so far. A shame. It also looks very messy and dirty inside and out. You have to pay €1 to use the restroom at Serways.

Unfortunately, it was absolutely filthy. We simply wanted two cheeseburgers without pickle. We got them with pickle. We complained this time, but they gave us two new ones without any problems, but without onions. Absolutely tasteless. And all for €2.30! Never again.

No promotional products available, and no salads available either. Only standard products like nuggets, cheeseburgers, etc. What a shame!

I've never seen such a dirty place. There's trash everywhere. The food is terrible. I always thought it was McDonald's standards. But they don't apply here. The fries are soggy and cold. Dirt, slow service, overflowing space for trash trays that no one cleans up. The floor and tables are sticky. The staff is unpleasant. 40 minutes of waiting for delivery does not correspond to the Fast food concept.

If you don't need to eat, you should avoid this restaurant. The food was cold, the cheese in every burger we ordered was cold and therefore not melted, and they must have run out of salad too, as we didn't see any.

I like going to McDonald's, but this one is on the blacklist. It's far too small and understaffed for its location right next to the highway. Tables and trash cans are constantly full, and the bins in the Sanifair restrooms are just as full. There are only two ordering terminals, one of which was broken during my visit. As a result, there was a queue of customers... No comparison to, for example, Greding.

That's far too few for a branch on the highway!!! Never again! Addendum: The wrap wasn't the one I ordered, and they forgot to add ketchup to all the fries (missing ketchup is the end of the world for a hungry toddler!!)

Horror from food to cleanliness

The employees seem to be deliberately walking slowly, talking to each other, taking orders leisurely as if no one were in the lobby. It's a mockery. Eating is like anywhere else.

We've never been to such a bad McDonald's. Ordering took forever because they only had one ordering kiosk open. Then we got a medium fries that were just as "big" as the small, and the wrap wasn't a wrap at all, but a chicken patty. Last but not least, there were no clean trays available, trash was piled up on various tables, and we wiped the table ourselves because apparently there was no staff on hand to do it. The employees also scored highly for their friendliness. There's a lot of room for improvement.

The food was up to the usual, typical McDonald's standards. However, the ambiance and the organization in the kitchen and checkout area seemed chaotic. Only one terminal was working, the cash register was unmanned at times, and there was visible chaos at the checkout counter. The line stretched all the way to the parking lot. Anyone wanting to eat here should definitely order via the app to avoid unnecessary stress.

Even in the entrance area, there were only two order boards, one of which wasn't working. From there, you could already smell the way to the restrooms, which also cost a euro. The biggest disappointment were the lukewarm and distinctly stale fries. The ice cream machine was, of course, broken. If only we'd stopped at a McDonald's earlier.

We were waiting for the employee to come take our order for 10 minutes in a long line. Then even more waiting for the order to be ready just for the worker to tell me the icecream machine wasn’t working. The whole process took about an hour just to walk out with nothing. Very dissatisfying and disappointing. Couldn’t they have checked it earlier? Very American of them.

Only two ordering terminals aren't enough for the customer traffic. The McCafe wasn't staffed despite the queues, and unfortunately, despite the perfect weather, there was no ice cream, etc.

It's perfect for stopping and grabbing a quick bite to eat. The restrooms were clean. However, they could do with a bit more attention upstairs ☝🏼 The outside seating is definitely a place to relax.

We were lucky in our misfortune when we wanted to order. Ordering at the counter wasn't possible. Well, two terminals weren't enough for the ever-growing line behind us. Unfortunately, there were a couple in front of us who didn't notice. So, that was the first round of waiting, which ended up being twelve minutes. Next, we had to wait for our order, which took another 18 minutes, as orders aren't served in order here, but in some other questionable way. So what? We had enough time to find a seat with a table that wasn't full of trays. There was no answer here either, but we could help ourselves. We'd like to help, but the tray cart was overflowing with all sorts of trays and trash. After some time, a young employee with long black hair finally took pity on us and did something about this injustice. This same employee previously felt responsible only for filling French fry bags, which she did in such a way that a large French fry now became a small medium one. I consider this to be customer fraud and hope this error is corrected as soon as possible. The only positive thing to mention here is the male employee at the counter, who did everything in his power to keep the place running smoothly. He addressed any dissatisfaction from those waiting in line and also handled other people's requests. The only way to remedy this intolerable situation is to address the employees or even increase their pay. I wish the franchisee, Förster, Michael, and AUGA GmbH, much success and strength so that this fast-food restaurant develops into a place people enjoy visiting.

I went in my ordered but when I got the food, I gagged it was like nothing I ever seen especially in Germany where the McDonald’s are normally fine. The place was dirty there were flies just sitting on top of the food the ordering screens were covered in spit and dirt I don’t even want to talk about the bathrooms. NEVER AGAIN…….

The children were really looking forward to the visit. However, after venturing a little further into the restaurant, we had to cut it short because the entire area was extremely dirty. I spoke directly to an employee and explained that it was very unappetizing and disgusting for us to sit at such tables. Disgusting describes a condition that I consider unacceptable; in my opinion, a restaurant should not be run like this. I also can't imagine that the food inspectors here are unaware of this. I hope that investigative reporters will document the deficiencies in the kitchen and thus remedy the situation, as it seems to me that McDonald's hasn't responded in this regard for weeks (see reviews). I hope McDonald's reacts soon and implements measures that will lead to lasting improvements in hygiene.

Unfortunately, the visit to McDonald's was anything but satisfactory. Fortunately, you can now place your own orders, which was probably the most positive aspect.
