McDonald's in Erlangen

Unbelievable, you eat there and then want to clean your hands of mayo, ketchup and half-fried fries as well as the dirty table and then you have to pay for it again? Sorry, no, I have absolutely no understanding for that. Print a QR code on the receipt, install a reader at the turnstile, then at least your guests have free access! I'd rather take my money to the competitor.....

I grew up in the area and have known this store since I was little. I haven't seen the upper floor open for about 10 (!) years. In general, a little more hygiene would be good, as many tables and benches are dirty. The TVs downstairs also seem to no longer work. Maybe a little overhaul would be good. After the play area was replaced by McCafe years ago, which no longer exists, this corner of the restaurant is rather desolate. The burgers and fries are sometimes rather cold, but otherwise as usual at Mcces. The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me and it is not their fault that this branch is understaffed. The toilets have always been dirty, but it's crazy that you have to pay for them now. In any case, the conditions have not improved.

Everything is approximately standard for McDonald's, but a paid toilet is, of course, a surprise for such a seemingly small town.

It's a terrible place and service I've ever had. I ordered a double cheese burger takeaway. But they gave me a different shitty burger. I called them, and they just 'sighed' and said, just come and get a new one next time. They didn't give me any solution for now. They should apologize, at least.

The food was quite good so far, but the toilets were underground. There is no paper to wipe with, the toilet seat is loose and asking for a euro to go to the toilet is an absolute disgrace! There is no heating there and you are very cold. The citizens were far too small and too expensive!!

This is the worst McDonald's I've ever visited. Back in the 90s it was still clean, nothing was broken and the top was still open. Now it's just a garbage dump. I was there on a Sunday, very little going on, some tables hadn't seen water in a long time and someone must have spilled sweet liquid on the floor in the entrance area. Point surprisingly, €1 is charged for using the toilet. The food tastes as always. The service was okay and since there was nothing going on it went very quickly.

It is outrageous for guests to have to pay a toilet fee and then find these toilets totally disgusting, dirty and unhygienic!!! It's an imposition, I definitely won't want to eat anything anymore.

Thursday 7 p.m., all free tables more or less dirty. We then chose the least dirty one and tried to get it fairly clean with tissues. When the food was brought to us we complained about it. And then the awesome answer: I'm not responsible for that. To eat: The BigRösti was extremely fatty, the McRib with very little sauce. By far the worst McDonald's we have ever visited.

Absolutely dirty tables - there were still leftovers from some previous guests on them. But what was worst were the toilets. They stink and are dirty. And if you only visit this location after eating, you will get a voucher for 50 cents (you have to pay €1). So you would have to buy something again and therefore pay something extra in order to be able to redeem it. In other words: €1 for a disgusting toilet. Never again!

In addition to a totally sick employee and the usual burgers that are way too small, today it was shot again. Unfortunately I can't attach the picture, dirt and parts of an eyelash are floating in the drink And no, that doesn't belong in an iced tea

It has gotten nastier and dirtier recently. Of course, no one expects a 5 star service in McDonalds but I would prefer my sauce package to not be covered with grime, dust, a sticky substance and hair. Last time we went there manager was fighting with customers. It used to be a better place. Now everytime I eat here I get sick afterwards as a result of the declining hygiene standards. Everything is sticky and grimy, leaves you with no appetite. The workers who clean the cash counter and kitchen floor immediately go back to preparing your drinks without washing their hands. I worked in gastronomy and know that you shouldn't be doing that if you are in contact with customer's food.

It's okay in itself, depending on how busy it is, it's usually relatively clean and the wait isn't that long. There is now a lot of choice for vegetarians and so far everything has been pretty good. But what I find really stupid is that as a customer you have to pay for the toilet yourself. I actually just wanted to wash my hands after eating greasy food, but even that isn't possible. It would be great if you introduced a code system, similar to some bakers, so that at least as a customer you don't have to pay anything and then you have the code on the receipt or something like that. That would be fair.

Food is OK but service is not great. Hardly speak German, unfriendly and seems really unmotivated. There was no indication that my food was ready for pickup. The ambience could be so nice, the building is actually great on the inside, but it is often quite dirty and unsightly. You don't want to spend a lot of time here, which may be due to the sometimes strange clientele.

Absolutely disappointing! Despite €10 in sales, I was approached by an unfriendly and aggressive employee because I didn't want to pay extra for the toilet. As a paying customer, I expect more respect and service. I won't let myself be treated like that - never again at McDonald's Erlangen!

Fries really don't taste like they used to, as if they had been smoked. I was a friendly and lazy worker, I waited 20 minutes for a small fries and a milkshake and missed my bus

Now I don't think you need to say much about eating at McDonald's, if you know one, you know everyone. What is different here, however, is the condition of this restaurant. I think I've always seen the return cart for the trays overcrowded in recent years, and the rest of it somehow fits in with the order, whether there are tables or benches (if there are any at all, and I'm NOT talking about the Bergkirchweih time) .

Anyone who charges paying guests €1 to wash their hands probably hasn't heard the shot. Unfortunately I only found out after I had left over €10 there. Fries were cold.

A bit disappointing when you actually want to eat your food inside, but shortly before 11:30 p.m. you are no longer allowed a tray and when asked only a short "we're closing now" is thrown over the fence. That's all it takes for me to go there in the evening and fill my waiting time with expensive, probably not particularly healthy food. Actually a good thing: saves money and calories!

The fact that the toilets are regulated so that they don't turn into public toilets is understandable somewhere, charging €1 but only being able to redeem €0.50 as a voucher is a rip-off, especially if you just want to wash your hands before eating. Oh yes, the food is just as “good” (in terms of taste) as any other McDonald’s.

Toilets have to be paid extra, even if you bought something there. This should be standard service for customers!

The toilet is chargeable for customers who eat here. A real impudence with children a no go and the managers are really unfriendly that you would like to throw the food behind the counter.

Centrally located McDonald's restaurant. Unfortunately, it is a bit old and, despite various renovations, it is no longer so well maintained. Toilets terrible. Floor sticks all over the restaurant. Some of the tables were broken and locked.

Service was good but... Fries were way too greasy, chicken nuggets were also too greasy and too well done, salad was no longer available around lunchtime. Ambiance was good but seating area dirty. Fishburger far too small and ended up paying 30 euros when I would have gotten "more" elsewhere. The toilet was closed due to renovations (then look in a pedestrian zone).

Not much has changed in the last 30 years, wheelchairs still can't get in because of the large stairs outside and they already have new terminals to order like everyone else, cell phone points system is also great

The 1 out of 2 McDonalds Restaraunts in Erlangen. This place has been gotten worse and worse over the years. Although its looks nice from the outside the inside does look completely terrible. This place needs a serious renovation. The interior is very sketchy. Food has also slowly been getting worse so I would say it is below average. The service is nice but they have to improve both German or English. The bigger reason why this place needs a renovation is because it is in the middle of the city and there are a lot of people eating here. If you want a good burger with a nice drink and cool interior such as atmosphere considering going to Hans im Glück which is just 20m next to this McDonalds. Location is very good.

My order was made completely differently, in the end I just got a bun and the burger patty (so really nothing more) the toilets were closed and it was very dirty there (I also saw a beetle).

Very antique McDonalds the toilets were closed because someone had massive diarrhea sometimes bears walk around outside. But we got money for food

No toilet, no hand washing. They close everything early and blatantly kick out customers who are still eating.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The McDonald's on Hugenottenpl. 1 in Erlangen is always my first choice when I feel like delicious fast food. The staff is friendly and quick, orders are always processed correctly and quickly. The dishes are freshly prepared and taste simply delicious. The cleanliness in the restaurant is top and the atmosphere is pleasant. I can fully recommend this McDonald's and therefore give it 5 stars!

This is not a place where you want to eat! Way too expensive and my cheeseburger was cold too! So I still remember the cheeseburger for €0.99 and it was delicious. Now it costs €2.95 and is cold!!! How can you charge almost €3 for such a mini burger? Never again!!!!

I was eating here and found that half the store was a construction site, the nuggets and fries had black spots and the cheeseburger didn't taste normal. The tables are half white half brown and the benches are broken and dirty.

Service was terrible, MC had ordered a muffin and a large coffee, instead of crediting it to me as a menu, it was sold to me as a single product. The reference to the coupon was not even taken into account. They weren't even able to cancel this to make it a menu. That wouldn't work. This happened on June 11th at 8am. Of course the mood was gone.

The rating relates very much to the service in the form of opening times. Erlangen tries to create an attractive nightlife and as some would certainly confirm, after a long night comes the nasty cravings. Unfortunately, from midnight there is nothing left to counteract this desire. Unfortunately, calling for the golden seagull doesn't help either.

The french fries and my drink (Sprite) were very good, but my companion didn't like it at all. According to her, the salad was disgusting, had probably been standing for a long time (not freshly prepared) and the potato rings (curly fries) were cold and also inedible. That was probably the reason why the food was ready after just one or two minutes (and we didn't have to wait at all). It's a shame, because the space with the supporting pillars up to the ceiling and the great ambience actually makes you want more...

Actually a very noble looking McDonalds in a beautiful building, but the toilets are the absolutely disgusting thing Erlangen has to offer... absolutely filthy, the whole floor sticks and it feels like the toilets are half-heartedly "cleaned" at most once a year... every station toilet is there even cleaner...

It's good that you can order with machines there and they are fast at preparing your meal but I only recommend take out since it is always so noisy in there.
