McDonald's in Meppen

I was really pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was clean, the staff extremely friendly, and the order was prepared quickly and correctly.

I ordered food for €50 and three portions of fries were missing. It wasn't the first time something was missing. A real mess.

Even the employees say it's extremely broken.

They say true happiness lies in the little things – a sunset, warm fries, a well-filled burger. But apparently, that doesn't apply at McDonald's. I, a simple vegetarian in search of a taste of burger bliss, am regularly confronted with the golden M-deception. Because anyone who orders something without meat here consistently gets… meat. Veggie nuggets? Surprise – chicken inside. Vegan wrap? A little hint from the chicken factory. And to top it all off, they've now discontinued the only vegetarian burger that was actually good. No replacement, no alternative – not even the option to simply deselect the meat on the menu. It's as if they're trying to tell us, gently but firmly: "Vegetarians? You're just guests here." I just wanted to eat a burger. Now I'm philosophizing about the cruelty of fast food. McDonald's, you used to be my little indulgence. Now you are just a memory – wrapped in a greasy napkin.

McDonald's is just like any other. The location is a bit inconvenient, but it meets its requirements.

The trash cans are overflowing every day, everything is lying next to them and blowing around. This is absolutely unacceptable! Surely they should be able to empty their trash cans regularly, like McDonald's in Haren/Wesuwe does, right?

So far, it's okay for fast food 😉

We visited this McDonald's restaurant this morning. We ordered breakfast at the drive-thru. We waited almost 15 minutes for our order. The employee said the pancakes would take longer. Another time, the service and order timing were better. We'll see how it goes next time.

Great service! I was there today, October 17, around 11 p.m. and was served by a Spanish/Portuguese employee. He was extremely friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job. It's rare to find such dedicated employees – my utmost respect for that! 👏

The order and food were good! Many tables were dirty, with leftover food or used napkins on them. The women's restroom wasn't very clean!

I entered your store with joyful anticipation, almost elated, even euphoric. I was hungry. An honest, simple hunger—not that metaphorical hunger for meaning or love, but the hunger that only a portion of fries can satisfy. Unfortunately—and I say this with a tear in my eye—that hunger wasn't satisfied that evening, but rather mocked. As soon as I entered, I was hit by an air reminiscent of a mixture of deep-fryer oil, sadness, and air conditioning dust. The floor was so sticky that I briefly thought I had new Velcro shoes. The cashier looked like he'd mentally resigned three times and greeted me with an enthusiasm that was somewhere between "comatose" and "please let me go." I ordered a meal. A simple meal. I didn't want any special requests, no philosophical discussions about doneness or sauce ratios. Just a Big Mac, fries, and a Coke. This, I thought, should be doable in the 21st century. I was wrong. The Coke tasted like rainwater run through an old garden hose. The fries were cold, but at the same time, somehow burnt—a physical feat that would probably have fascinated Stephen Hawking. The Big Mac itself... oh, where to begin? The bread was so soft that I briefly feared it would crumble just looking at it. The salad lay sadly beside it, as if it had already made too many bad decisions in its life. And the sauce—I don't know what she was going through, but she seemed emotionally unstable. As I sat there, staring at my sad menu, an Ed Sheeran song played in the background. It made everything worse. I briefly considered whether this was a sign to change my life, to go vegan, or at least to hope less. An elderly gentleman at the next table accidentally spilled his Coke on himself. No one reacted. I was beginning to think that McDonald's was some kind of social experiment, testing how long people can endure emotional coldness while eating their chicken nuggets. After eating, I felt empty. Not physically—no, the fries were sitting heavy inside me—but emotionally. I left the building, looked back, and vowed never to go back to that branch. Then I remembered I'd forgotten my dip. I went back in, but it was out. Of course it was. In summary: McDonald's has not only taken away my appetite, but also a piece of my faith in humanity. I'm giving it one out of five stars because they held the door open for me. Best regards and a slightly broken heart

Service otherwise was okay. Unfortunately, my plant-based nuggets once again had chicken nuggets mixed in. As a vegetarian, that's simply unacceptable! Therefore, a warning to other vegetarians!

We ordered "dinner" today, everything was cold, no bacon (ordered separately) and no mayonnaise...

I ordered something worth €3, it wasn't available and I received something worth €1 instead because the employee didn't want to give me my money back/didn't offer me anything else.

The biggest disaster was the store-bought scrambled egg wrap, which had a whopping 3 small pieces of scrambled egg inside. The latte macchiato was supposed to be caramel, but it wasn't. Honestly, for that money, I should have filled up the tank and driven to the nearest bakery.

Very nice staff, friendly and attentive. The hot drinks we ordered were prepared promptly, despite the busy lunchtime hours.

They barely speak German anymore. Dogs are no longer allowed. I've been coming here for 20 years. But today was the last time. McDonald Meppen They should clean up the place a bit. Then so many flies won't come to the restaurant.

The McFlurry is truly McSunday-sized. Really cheeky. Only half full, but still full price... This isn't the first time I've experienced this!

The food is always lukewarm. Service is unfriendly, and you don't get served at your table even if you've ordered through the app... Order numbers are shouted throughout the restaurant. When asked, they say, "We do it like Burger King"... but you just can't understand them. It's not just the tables that are dirty—you're also stuck to the floor... The restrooms are especially disgusting.

Ordered a promotional shake and then paid at the drive-thru, only to be told after the checkout that it wasn't available. I settled for the vanilla alternative, but instead of getting a vanilla shake, I got something with a coffee flavor that didn't taste good at all. Of course, I didn't notice what was in the reusable cup until I was on the way.

It's nicely located in a central spot. Right beside the Denver mall. It's a good spot. I liked the cleanliness and the sweet workers there when I had a question. I would definitely come again sometime, if I'm near.

Someone needs to tell that broad-set lady that the ingredients don't come out of her bag. Every drink tastes like dirty water. You order a "caramel" latte and get an overly watered-down coffee with no caramel.

We were just there, and the lady at the McDonald's counter was incredibly unfriendly! When we asked questions, she reacted rudely and shouted into the microphone... Then we pulled up, and apparently the card payment didn't work. I've never experienced anything like that at McDonald's before. We left without any food.

It's McDonald's, so there's not much to say. Parking is very limited and there aren't many. This McDonald's is often very crowded.

The new opening hours are rubbish and nobody really understands them. Very often the store is already closed earlier.

Small but good mac for a quick bite

It hasn't been what it used to be for a long time, just enjoyable. You try it every now and then, but no matter what time of day, the food is never truly fresh. Today again. Fries were way too light and oversalted, chicken burgers undercooked. Unfriendly and rude staff. Even in big cities, things are better.

Fast service German efficiency Good McDonalds

The server was professional and helpful despite a language barrier. The food took a long time to arrive. The place was very busy and the cleaning of the seating area got neglected because of this.

Fast food restaurants are really different.

I found out that I was ripped off. I ordered the chicken big mac, chicken wings, fries, potato rings and cookies. I got chicken rings and cookies. It's a rip-off. I thought the employee was trying to make a fool of me.

Der McDonalds war ziemlich leer, ein Auto ist gerade weggefahren. Ich stand an dem Bestell Computer und es kam nichts, kein Zeichen - nichts. Als ich auf die Uhr schaute und auch nach 3 Minuten nichts geschah, ging ich davon aus das Gerät kaputt ist oder man vorfahren soll- was ich getan habe. Kurz später kam die Verkäuferin und wollte mich an der Scheibe NICHT bedienen! Ich hab ihr die Umstände erklärt, das hat ihr jedoch nichts ausgemacht. Sie bestand darauf, ich fahre erneut durch den Mc-Donalds (der immer noch leer war^^) Auch meine Ansage dass ich dann weiterfahre bewegte sie nicht mich zu bedienen 😡 So ist es dann auch gekommen und ich bin das erste mal (nicht mehr widerwillig) nach Burger King gefahren 😡. Es ist eine ungeheure Frechheit!!! Das Essen bei Burger-King die auch Coupons hatten war günstiger und sogar lecker -> einzige was ich nicht wusste, war dass die Soßen wohl nicht dabei sind. Dieser Vorfall ist nun meine Mc-Donalds Erlösung (der Laden sieht mich nicht mehr wieder - nach Jahrelanger treue...) und bei fast-food wende ich mich nun an den Burger-King der eine STraße weiter weg ist😂. BTW: Das Bestell-Display war aus, sonst wäre ich auch nach über drei Minuten nicht auf die Idee gekommen zum Fenster zu fahren^^

1. The fries were too salty. 2. I personally find it disgusting that you constantly have a washing machine inside you when eating out. You can wait until we're finished or close off a small area for cleaning. Because there wasn't much going on at that time.

Never had such a bad Mac. My wife had ordered mini pancakes there. When they were finally brought, they were lukewarm, dry and rock hard (too long under the hotplate). After much back and forth with the intervention of the manager, apparently the staff on duty is not allowed to make decisions themselves, I ordered a Big Mag for an additional fee. This was also lukewarm. This branch is not an advertisement for Mac.

The food is typical McDonald's. Everything ok so far. Tables were all dirty and were only cleaned after the second request. You can eat from the ground here (there is enough rum)

The ice coffee was not tasty, ice cubes, whipped cream and caramel sauce... we tasted nothing, no coffee. Burgers were limp and salty...lettuce also tasted sour..

We were there today, ordered in the drive-thru and unfortunately didn't look in the bag. Unfortunately, the surprise came at home: a Big Mac was missing and the fries were still raw. Very cozy for a McDonald's restaurant and very clean compared to other branches. The employee was very friendly and the breakfast we had was very tasty. We'd love to come back when we're in Meppen again.

Please check whether your people can read without errors. 50% of the order was wrong. Mc Chicken classic without iceberg lettuce (not as ordered). Instead of the spicy nuggets I got normal ones. 👎

If you ever want the full "fast food experience" then this McDonald's is the place to be! The staff apparently decided to reinterpret the very definition of "quick" - the last time I ordered, I had enough time to complete a bachelor's degree. 🚶‍♂️🎓 The staff? Well, some of them were as warm and inviting as a refrigerator in winter. A smile? None. This was either the silent week or they are introducing a new, revolutionary method of communication: ignoring. I'm giving it three stars because the food ended up being actually pretty good and the long wait was just because the place was full.

The service was quick and everything was still warm. The chicken nuggets were warm and very tasty, but unfortunately the fries were a little sticky. Unfortunately there were no more 2 sweet and sour sauces so I got a portion of ketchup. Terrible. Food on the floor and tables. Waste everywhere. A cleaning machine in the middle of the restaurant on a charging cable. Waited 30 minutes and the food was cold. The fries tasted bad. The urinal was broken. Staff slid across a greasy floor. Picking up hamburgers with your bare hand while frying while the other hand was wearing a glove. Staff eat while preparing. I'll never come here again.

I ordered an MC Tasty Bacon Menu at the drive-thru. It all worked out great. Everything was fine when paying. Then I should drive into the parking bay, everything is ok. After over 25 minutes I got my order. And: everything is cold and you pay €10.79 for it. I find that outrageous. So: only those who like cold food are in good hands here. After all, it wasn't the first time.

I forgot my McCrispy spicy, was already home when I noticed it and didn't feel like driving off again. My M had tomatoes on it instead of cucumbers and Bic Mac cheese instead of the light one. Personally, I like the food very much, but you have to go to the staff almost every time you order because something was mixed up, you got small fries instead of large, or something was forgotten. Once you get to the staff, you first have to get someone else because most of them don't speak German and don't know what they want from you

This is the worst McDonald's I know in the area. When I order ingredients, that's exactly how I want it, but the employees in this branch obviously can't read that well because it's not the first time or it's easy for them doesn't matter

I was there with my husband today and asked if it would be possible to make me a burger without a bun because I have gluten intolerance🙃, the reaction from the employees was amazing: but of course ☺️super friendly and accommodating, the employee even said you could Bring a gluten-free roll with you (it's understandable that the roll you bring has to be shrink-wrapped, I think) and top it as you like 😍so thank you very much 👏🏻👍🏾I was very happy and it tasted great too 😊 the burger was also well packaged I could do it well with my hands 👍🏾😅
