McDonald's in Nordhorn

I was at McDonald's in Nordhorn today (November 9, 2025) around 3:50 a.m. and had a very unpleasant experience. I placed my order and showed the employee my order number. He simply took the receipt away from me. When I said I wanted the receipt back, he just said I couldn't have it because "the boss said so – only on weekends." Furthermore, we didn't receive our order in full – we ordered three portions of fries, but only received two. When I pointed this out, the receipt, which showed what we had ordered, was taken away from me again. When I asked for the receipt back, he just asked, annoyed, "Why do you even need that?" I felt really uncomfortable there. This kind of behavior from the staff is completely unacceptable – especially towards customers who simply want to receive their order correctly.

I was there at 1 a.m. with my friends. I'd ordered a McSmart menu, so I went to pay at the cash register. I had to wait 5 minutes for an empty register before I could pay, then another 10 minutes for my food, only to discover that all my food was cold—my fries, my burger, everything. The fries were colder than my water. The only warm thing was where I was sitting, sweltering. I never recommend this place, and make sure you stay away. The pace was as if they were working at 1 a.m.—extremely bad. (And they put cheese on my cheeseburger.)

Clean restaurant, despite it being busy, we were served quickly and the food was just okay. Better food than you'd usually get at a Dutch McDonald's. Some of the staff speak Dutch.

I ordered through Lieferando at 8:00 p.m. The stated delivery time was 20-45 minutes, but the food didn't arrive until 9:30 p.m.—over 1.5 hours later. In the meantime, I called the restaurant several times because the delivery hadn't arrived. Each time, I received different answers: first, "it's on its way," then "probably still being prepared, please call back in 10 minutes," and the next time I called, "it's almost here." The employee was very rude and eventually just hung up, even though I remained calm. In the end, the food arrived much too late, and I was no longer hungry. It was a very disappointing experience.

Compared to other McDonald's branches, it's really clean and fresh. The food always tastes pretty good, and the plant-based nuggets are always reliable. The ice cream machine has never let me down, and the food is ready really quickly. Mistakes rarely happen, but when they do, the staff are quick and friendly in correcting them. The floor is sticky from time to time, but that's just part of McDonald's flair.

We went to McDonald's in Nordhorn today. It was a great experience because it was quick and even the fries were hot! The tables and floor were clean, and the server was attentive and friendly. The manager asked if everything was to our satisfaction. We'll be happy to come back.

Let's be honest: What do I expect when I walk into a McDonald's late at night somewhere in the countryside? A sparkling clean, modern restaurant, very friendly and competent staff, and the quick preparation of the right food? I, for one, am not used to any of that and was very surprised! Perhaps it was because a crew was apparently filming a commercial; at least decorative fruit, beautifully stacked chocolate bars, and a few other employees with a cute little dog suddenly enhanced the somewhat surreal scene during my visit. ;-)

My roommate and I just ordered food from the McDonald's in Nordhorn and what we got was an absolute disgrace! EVERYTHING is soggy. The two portions of fries are a complete mess that even my dog ​​doesn't want (and he loves fries!). The McCrispy is missing ALL of the sauce! The Chicken McNuggets have the consistency of being licked dry. The delivery person is so rude and incompetent. If you have the choice, avoid this McDonald's branch. We ordered from McDonald's via Lieferando. The food arrived after about an hour, which was within the stated delivery time. Then we had a rude awakening: the burgers, fries, and nuggets were completely cold. Unwilling to accept this, I called the branch and complained. They apologized and asked me to repack the order, and I would receive a replacement. Twenty minutes later, the driver was back in the yard with our new, fresh, and hot order. Kudos for the crisis management.

Service wasn't the best years ago, but today it's topped everything. Ordered at 8:24 PM, called at 10:00 PM. The driver overlooked the food. Left it there. No matter. That was the last time. Truly abysmal.

Dirty tables, Long waits for food, despite stacks of pre-production burgers and nuggets (so that the packaging was already squashed and open in the pile). But the worst part was: I noticed at the table that I'd been given a "regular" TS instead of a Chicken Tenders. I went straight to the counter and was given a (cold) Chicken Tenders. But the burger I handed over just ended up back on the pile of burgers for the next customer. That's unacceptable. I had already opened the packaging, who knows what I've already done with the burger, and they just added it to the pile for further sale. Gross. They didn't even look inside. That's just unacceptable. I know why I only go to McDonald's once in a blue moon. Ugh!

A disaster. The food is like everywhere else, but the service is terrible. You order via the service board and then wait almost an hour until everything is finally ready, and then half the food is still missing. When you ask, you're told that everything was done correctly and you shouldn't make such a fuss. Not recommended.

The staff seemed completely overwhelmed and extremely disorganized. We noticed that no one (including us) had received their complete order from the five people sitting around them. At the checkout counter, they started discussing who had finished the order instead of simply handing out the missing item. However, this discussion revealed the worst-case hygiene scenario. Two employees opened the burger packages and rummaged around with their fingers (without gloves or washing their hands) in the individual components of the burgers to figure out which burgers they were. The recognizable work areas looked like battlefields. But hey, the guests' tables hadn't been cleaned for a while either. Those in charge are probably a bit overwhelmed with everything.

Like every McDonalds, even in Germany it was not something to be happy about.

The waiting time is awful, 30 minutes for an order in a fast food restaurant is definitely excessive. Sandwiches are lying ready, getting cold and the staff does not keep up with packing them. This is the second time I got cold fries and a sandwich because of this. My order was also packed for delivery and I received a different one after reporting the situation the staff started looking for that order which is why it was cold again.

I order something there every now and then - the taste and selection are solid as usual. You know what you're getting. But when it comes to the atmosphere and service, there is definitely room for improvement. The waiting times are often longer than in other branches, even when there is not much going on. It takes a long time and is annoying when you just want to get something for a moment. But what really bothered me: I was there one evening, wanted to eat in peace, and then a group of girls started filming a TikTok right in front of the checkout - in the middle of the store, with the camera fully focused on the room. I was in full view and felt completely uncomfortable. Unfortunately, not a single team member intervened or said anything. The cleanliness also leaves something to be desired. The trash cans regularly overflow and the toilets? Sometimes really borderline – unpleasant smell and not really clean. There should definitely be more control. Conclusion: OK if you're hungry quickly, but if you value atmosphere, cleanliness and a bit of order, you won't always be happy here.

I would go to another McDonalds...

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The entrance and exit (especially the one) to the parking lot are a nightmare, and you have to be careful not to crash your car. The fries were undercooked, soggy, unsalted, and only lukewarm (worst fries I've ever eaten). They also forgot to add mayonnaise. The two burgers were okay (but nothing more).

This place is getting worse and worse. We constantly receive our orders incomplete. This is quite annoying and expensive. Personalized burgers are not personalized, incomplete burgers, often dry and the toppings are usually wrong.. To top it off, I now have a crying child sitting at home because his toy isn't in his Happy Meal. We ordered the Happy Meal because of the toy...otherwise we could have ordered the dry burger without the menu. And we can't drive back to ask for the toy because we always have to travel 30 minutes to get to McDonald's. (We always check in the parking lot to make sure everything is there, but we can't open and take apart every single burger, happy meal and drink). That was the last time at McDonald's. If so, then only Burger King.

Today it was the case again that a drink and all sauces were missing. Not only that, but also the stickers that you can peel off where a code is stored that could potentially win things. I think the driver thought quite coolly that it wouldn't be noticed. I don't know now... I'm not really sad about it (except for the sauces, I'll be honest) but it's still a bit bad, I have to say.

Worst McDonald's we've ever been to. We try it every now and then in Nordhorn, but the quality of the food is always poor, the burgers are never freshly prepared, and the burger buns feel old. Nowhere have we eaten worse burgers than in Nordhorn. Sooooo sad 😢

Well, I've never experienced anything missing

Nowadays you MUST order from the large display and all I wanted was two coffees, but apparently too much trouble so I was sent back to the ordering computer. Tabé Mac I would like to place my order verbally, so this chain deserves ZERO stars. And the tone in which I was addressed by the staff was very unfriendly, really very unfriendly. An SS commander from WWII could learn something from it.

What's interesting about Mac? This is that the taste and quality of food greatly depends on the products from which it is prepared. The company uses local products. It's delicious here. And 4 stars only because in Ukraine it was tastier and more dear to me. This is not the restaurant's problem. This is my personal problem. I think Ukrainians will understand me. Thanks to the guys working at Mac. They are a good team and make you happy always and everywhere.
