McDonald's in Sangerhausen

Ugh, where to begin… We've probably ordered from or eaten at McDonald's in Sangerhausen quite a lot over the past few years. Today was truly a low point. First, a portion of fries was forgotten at the drive-thru, but they were promptly provided after we complained. Then, at the dinner table at home, well, you could almost call it pure disgust. The Big Tasty Bacon had burnt, completely dried-out meat. And you pay over €12 for that in a meal deal these days. At that price, a family of four could just as easily go to a proper restaurant. €42 for three meals and a Happy Meal, and then such poor quality—it's simply unacceptable… And this wasn't the first time the quality was substandard or something was forgotten… very disappointing and frustrating.

We ordered a cherry pastry and received a chocolate pastry. We complained, and the staff said we'd get a new cherry pastry, but we got another chocolate pastry! Absolutely outrageous and completely unprofessional.

It looks relatively nice, but the doors are closed from midnight onwards, even though there are signs everywhere indicating a later closing time. Eating out at Fitt is a bit of a nuisance.

No more vegan burgers. What a shame! The McPlant was okay.

Standard, no noticeable defects.

Ordinary MC. The staff could be nicer, and not annoyed that they have to be at work.

The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was typical McDonald's fare. But the cleanliness and the staff warrant the appropriate star rating.

Completely overwhelmed, a 42-minute wait for four hamburgers. At 9 p.m., everything is gradually cordoned off because the restaurant is closing at midnight. An older employee grumbles to herself that they should just go home and eat. Someone just doesn't feel like it. Actually, a half-hour notice to customers that they're about to close is enough. You don't have to cordon off everything three hours in advance.

Very clean. The staff gave all the kids little packs of Smarties this morning. And there are plenty of charging stations for electric vehicles right outside the door next to the gas station.

Very clean restaurant. It was very busy, but we still had hot, "fresh" food on the table after about five minutes. Very friendly staff, who occasionally asked if everything was okay. The restrooms were also very clean. There were also really nice Halloween decorations (October 22nd). I'm satisfied and would 100% recommend McDonald's!

Very small and narrow parking lot, the entrance to both the parking lot and the McDonald's Drive-In is very narrow. Drivers have to be careful not to hit another car or get stuck somewhere. Guests also have to walk at a slow pace along the narrow sidewalk to the entrance, as traffic from the McDonald's Drive-In is right next door. In my opinion, everything around McDonald's is too small, too narrow, and too narrow for cars.

Well I don't know how they do it but so far none of our orders have been complete, always something is missing, please check properly before you go

We were with a class, we went in, they immediately turned everything off and said it was closed, the food was cold and we got the wrong order, they looked at us and kept telling us to leave, 5 minutes later people arrived and they welcomed them as if nothing was wrong

Bro four euros 15 for normal water is not barkie just act normal and a malfunction yeah there were just people inside and the staff was so terribly angry with us while we just wanted a burger

Terrible, really nonsense, staff was very rude to us and we were apparently a disturbance while there were people inside eating a hamburger, really 1 star food was tasty

it was not really good food also i had to pay 4 euro's and 14 cents for 1 still water the staff wasnt nice we saw 4 peaple getting kicked out for no reason and we could only order cold food because they said they cant make it why? i dont know

The staff was so rude that they said there was a malfunction while everything was still working fine and they didn't want to let us in 4 hours before closing time.

As always with this place, something was missing, it seems impossible to preserve everything

Everything went super quickly. The food arrived less than 2 minutes after ordering. Excellent.

Pros: Restrooms were clean. Cons: Several products were unavailable, and all the coupons I tried to redeem were unavailable.

A McDonald's as I'd expect. I have nothing to complain about, nor anything special to highlight.

My child is always happy when we go to Mc, but it has happened to us very often that only half of what we had ordered and paid for was in the bag, and the toys were missing from the junior bag....you have to check everything on the spot...service looks different

This is the first McDonald's where we've been asked if we like the food. Cool. 😉

The store is clean, well-organized, and there are service staff walking around asking if everything is okay. The food was quick, fresh, and hot.

I've rarely experienced such a good McDonald's, and I don't understand the bad reviews. Even during prime time (Fridays at 6:30 p.m.), everything runs smoothly; there are plenty of free seats and someone is constantly coming to wipe down the tables. The restrooms aren't too crowded, and the entire restaurant feels spacious and clean. Only the parking lot is a bit tight.

Super fast, clean, and everyone is nice—that's how I imagine fast food.

Both children had diarrhea, vomiting and stomach pain after the Happy Meal.

We had to wait about 15 minutes for the food. Otherwise, the food was typical McDonald's. Unfortunately, the Sprite was just water. Even after other guests pointed it out, they were given a new Sprite, which also tasted just like water.

I was there on August 31, 2025, around 12:00 PM. I had to wait 30 minutes for my order. The drinks were ready before the food was even ready. Among the drinks was a milkshake, which unfortunately had almost thawed after the long wait, and the Coke had no ice left in it. And it was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant.

If you know one McDonald's you know them all

No idea about the food, so we left without it. Service was really bad, and the app unfortunately doesn't work in this restaurant. When asked if we could still get the product at the price shown in the app, the manager replied, "No, he can't give the food away for free." Unfortunately, that wasn't what was on the agenda at that moment. Well, it's fast food... We won't be stopping here again!

No stars for service!!!!!! Your delivery service is terrible. Every time you try to order, the app says "no orders accepted." It's absolutely terrible, with delivery times from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM!!! Get it under control or get rid of it.

Really like this place. it is a midway stop for our family drive between NL and PL. can get real busy sometimes at this location.

I don't recommend it, the burgers are like the sole of a shoe, a small order and they can't even complete it, the service is not very polite, I don't recommend stopping here

Well-kept, friendly staff, fast service.

Despite the fact that it is almost always very crowded there, which is inevitable so close to the motorway, you are served fairly quickly and your food is on the table quickly. Unfortunately, this is often not the case at McDonald's. All in all, always worth a detour. 👍

Overall, the food was okay. We're Polish tourists and I appreciate the variety of food in another country. Different flavors! However, the monitor with the order numbers wasn't working, and some of the staff spoke numbers in German and English, while others spoke only in German. This was a nuisance for us.

July 23, 2025, 9:00 PM, ordered a pineapple dumpling and a burger. 20 minutes of waiting time! The burger was the wrong one and tasted terrible! Plus, it was the cheaper promotional item 🤬 Very annoying! 4 customer complaints in 15 minutes. Not recommended!

Diarrhea and severe stomach pain on 3 out of 3 visits!! Never again! Hygiene is probably terrible to nonexistent.

Unfortunately there are no outdoor play areas for children and very few indoor play areas either.

The cashier greeted us with a mood that you can't imagine, and we were addressed informally without our permission. Perhaps it would be better not to put them at the mcdrive anymore.

They asked if everything was okay, just like in a restaurant. And since the Franzbrötchen was out, they offered the more expensive chocolate muffin instead.

Was here for breakfast. Really friendly staff and very fast service also for our kids. The girls got drawing materials and a small bag of chocolate buttons from the smiling staff. The play area was very minimal and a bit worn. Hence a star deduction. Nice and clean everywhere

I always find the restrooms very unpleasant. They're always dirty! Otherwise, it's just like any other McDonald's. Incredibly expensive.

Adjust your hours! According to Google, it's supposed to be open until 1 a.m. When I arrived at 12:10 a.m. on July 9, the cleaning lady told me she wouldn't be serving me anymore. At least the gas station across the street is still open.

If you press ready for pickup you have to wait another 20 minutes until it is ready

You should check whether you've received everything you ordered. We went there for the second time and again something was missing (even though we were the only ones waiting, so it wasn't busy), which has happened several times now. The food is thrown together without any care and is cold or only lukewarm. The staff are extremely unfriendly; if you go back and they forget to pack something, they immediately get rude. Even one star is too many. Absolutely not recommended! We will definitely not be eating here again!

Everyone knows what MacDonalds is like! It's the same all over Europe. When you're traveling, this is a sure place for a good meal. I assure you that you can't count on meals at gas stations, especially in Germany! If you want to eat well, MacDonalds is wherever you are.

Yes, it's nice, but with large orders, you really should always check to make sure everything's included. Today I ordered a Happy Meal for my daughter: 20 nuggets, a burger, and two chicken wings. Well, the burger had everything, the wings were there, but unfortunately, the Happy Meal didn't have anything except ice cream, a drink, and a toy. What a shame...

It was busy in the morning, and both restrooms were occupied. What if I really needed to go to the bathroom right now? Is the entrance just a drive-thru?

The discrepancy between the advertised image and the actual result is devastating. I think it's generally been declining considerably. A cup of coffee is fine for a little hunger or in the morning.

I was just there with my family, and I handed over the code for my online order at the McDrive counter. The order was accepted, and the price was quoted. We were then asked to go to the first window to pay. There, our order was suddenly gone, and they claimed we hadn't ordered anything. They asked if we had even placed the order. And now we're out of luck and have to queue again. Where does that happen? 🤔 The woman was very rude. The young man seemed to be trying hard.

A hot coffee while passing through, walking to the car counter at 12:30 a.m. The coffee is too expensive for that.

Burgers are good. Chicken nuggets are tasty too. Strawberry shakes are also tasty. Just like you'd expect from McDonald's.

We stop here every time we visit family. It's right in the middle of the route. Never, ever have we had any problems. The food is always hot and delicious. Friendly staff, and wait times are short, whether in the restaurant or at the drive-up. Highly recommended!

It's getting worse and worse, and you have to wait for every order. The worst was 20 minutes, which has nothing to do with a fast-food restaurant. When you finally get your food, you always have to check it because something's almost always forgotten or the wrong thing is in it.

Busy, little parking space, staff calls out numbers (instead of displaying them on the board) but since it is busy, it is not understandable. When we got home, we discovered that the gift was missing from the happy meal. So a sad child.. too bad

I'm still stunned. This is the best service I've ever experienced at McDonald's. Five stars aren't really enough. Everything is super clean, and the employees are super friendly. They even bring your food to your table. Where else do you get that at McDonald's? I've never experienced anything like this before, except for the recent one in Sangerhausen. The lady at the cash register was very nice. The guy at the counter was a disaster for service. Such an unfriendly person...unfortunately, I had ordered one drink too few. It wasn't immediately obvious to me. I would have liked to order another, but I threw down the slip with the reply, "That's what you ordered and that's it." Completely missed the mark. Especially since there was nothing going on.

the worst McDonalds I have ever experienced

Yesterday we stood in Mc Drive for a measly hour. Nothing was progressing. In the end the bacon was missing from my burger. It's not like you have to pay extra. But going back wasn't an option. It probably would have taken forever again.

If, like me, you don't get off work until just before 11 p.m. and then decide to take a quick trip to McDonald's with your wife because they're open until 12 p.m., I'm usually very grateful to McDonald's. But when you have ordered your food and sit down, it's really not okay and it's a shame to hear twice from the kitchen: "Bring out food after 11 p.m., I love that!!"

This is probably the worst McDonald's branch I know. I've been standing in the drive-in for over 30 minutes and nothing is happening. When I asked what was taking so long, the only answer I got was "What should we do?" I know restaurants where I would have had my food quicker.

I was hoping to get some quick food during a really long trip, but it was a big disappointment. The nuggets tasted like they had been reheated or refried three times. I ordered a strawberry shake but received a white one. When I told the staff member that I didn’t think it was strawberry, she insisted, “Yes, yes, this is strawberry.” It didn’t taste like strawberry at all. The fries were okay.
