McDonald's in Rheda-Wiedenbrück

Does "restaurant" actually come from "rest"? And is it called "Fast Good" because it almost passes for food? And anyway: If my kids hadn't forced me, I would never have gone. So, it's great of me to give it three stars. However, please consider this in relation to comparable businesses (i.e., McDonald's branches!). One can safely say: There's still room for improvement.

Mces, I shouldn't recommend it to anyone. Shame on me for letting myself be tempted to eat there. You want fast food? Vegetables and fruit!

I ordered a meal for myself and my daughter and waited 45 minutes. Our order was simply forgotten. Other guests were served, but we weren't. That's why I'm leaving this review. They don't even deserve one star.

Chicken nuggets? More like breaded tofu! Tasteless, rubbery, and just plain disgusting. This place has about as much to do with "chicken" as a garden gnome has with gourmet food. The only thing you can eat here is fries and ice cream.

I went to McDonald's today and ordered a Big Mac. Towards the end of my meal, I suddenly discovered a large, sharp-edged piece of plastic in my burger. What if I'd already partially swallowed it? I was shocked and unsettled, because something like that can have serious health consequences. I immediately went to an employee and showed her the piece of plastic. Her reaction was anything but professional. She asked me directly, "What do you want?" I replied that I didn't want anything, but simply wanted to let them know that there was a dangerous foreign object in my food. She then asked again, "Big Mac?" I again clearly stated that I didn't want anything else. Then all she said was, "I can't help you. I don't know." No apology, no transfer to the appropriate person, just a shrug and complete indifference. I approached her again because I was still standing in the sales area, without any reaction or solution. Then she just cheekily said, "Manager is coming." The so-called manager eventually arrived, but unfortunately, he was no help either. He responded coldly to my description with, "What's going on?" No apology, no sympathy. Instead, he wanted to prove to me that the piece of plastic didn't come from their kitchen, and he seriously showed me the Big Mac sauce bottle. I could hardly believe it. He explained that all the ingredients come from suppliers and that something like this couldn't possibly happen. In the next sentence, however, he claimed that everything is freshly prepared in the kitchen. So, which one? Delivered or fresh? I expressed my concern that I might have swallowed small pieces. At the time, I didn't know what to do in such a case. I was expecting at least a helpful response. But none came. Instead, they just said the whole thing would be reported internally, and that was that. I then asked to be allowed to see the burger again so I could take photos—after all, I need to protect myself in case of health consequences. I was then allowed to do so. But up until this point, I felt like I wasn't being taken seriously, like someone who was just "annoying." I'm honestly appalled. A sharp piece of plastic in my food is no small matter. The way I was treated as a customer—dismissive, rude, and without any sense of responsibility—was absolutely unacceptable.

When the weather's nice, the ice cream machine is always broken. That can't be right, can it?! Otherwise, the wait times are relatively long, and a burger is usually missing from the order. It's okay, but when we have time, we always drive to McDonald's in Spexard, where it's fine.

That was the last time I visited that place. You wait forever for your food, and then half of it's missing. If you point it out, the employee (yes, it's one particular employee!!) gets rude. To top it all off, the food is soggy and inedible. Conditions are getting worse and worse. I've been to McDonald's many times in other locations, and it's never been as bad as in Wiedenbrück. The manager doesn't seem to care at all. Simply sad!

It wasn't busy, but I still waited 15 minutes at the drive-thru. I should have checked; you could tell the incredibly rude woman couldn't count to three.

A disaster! Every time, I forget to pack something at the Mac Drive, and now my kids have rotten nuggets! Thanks, Mac Donalds Wiedenbrück, it's just terrible! But it doesn't matter, it works anyway.

Celiac Disease Two of my children have celiac disease and aren't allowed to eat flour. After speaking with a friendly employee over the phone, I was allowed to bring gluten-free rolls, and my children were able to eat burgers at McDonald's in Germany. Thank you very much for your efforts. In the Netherlands and Austria, this has been the norm for years.

We only ate one ice cream and even that was mediocre.

It wasn't clean, the return carts were overflowing, and the tables weren't cleaned. My order arrived incomplete, and the cheeseburger was cold and the cheese hadn't melted. After returning it, I got the burger back with charred meat and cheese. It no longer tasted good, and hardly any of the employees spoke German. Unfortunately, it's no longer the delicious American food it used to be...

We've been customers here for years and have always been satisfied, except for a few minor issues (which were resolved without any problems). It's true that when you order from the McDonald's drive-thru, something is often missing (we were told many years ago that they always check the order at the pickup window). Since then, we've had no problems; if there's anything missing, it's immediately replaced, and sometimes even a small gift is given as an apology. The staff is always friendly and courteous. We've had experience with other McDonald's in Germany when we travel - ours here is the cleanest and the best!

On May 15, 2025, we ordered a Mac Rib, medium fries, 9 chicken nuggets, 2 extra sweet and sour, and a small salad with yogurt dressing from the car order service. We didn't get Mac Rib or 2 extra sweet and sour, and basil dressing. I hate basil. The person I told to order from the car couldn't understand me very well; he didn't speak German, so I got it again after he asked, very clearly and loudly. When paying, the same thing happened 3 times; I had to ask how much it was. I had to ask my husband, but he understood the 3rd time too. He didn't ask me if I wanted a menu. It's a shame, because I would have liked to have a glass in my collection. Unfortunately, I discovered it too late. I used to love eating there, often just a quick sneak peek, but it's gone downhill a lot. The fries didn't have mayo, so he didn't even ask about it, and the nuggets were lukewarm.

Had a fantastic brunch / breakfast. Wish Mc Donalds in Denmark also had it. But regarding this shop. Everything was to a A+ or 5 star review So good job👍🏼

I waited for an impossibly long time at the order window, but no one came at all. I ordered it myself and waited 3 days Over 30 minutes for your order. People with a MC drive are served, but it is not worth going inside. Even though there was no traffic, it was obvious that there was a lack of employees and everything simply did not function.

Very long waiting times in the restaurant and at the MC Drive counter, with MC Drive orders it is now standard to park in the parking lot to receive the order... Menus are sometimes handed over incomplete, service is sometimes unfriendly.

My burger patty was burnt and cold - you have to deal with that first.

Hello. It's the worst Macdonalds in Germany and what I've ever seen. Just dirt everywhere, the staff is very unfriendly. If you want to order from 9 p.m., you have to wait until the chatter between employees ends. I only got my order after 25 minutes. Outrageous. If you could give minus points, I would have given -10. Definitely don't come here to eat!!!!

I come from Bielefeld and I can say that the McDonalds here is way better! I've never had a cheeseburger without these little onions, the cucumber has never been missing and the bread has never been dry, I waited a long time before giving my rating, but no matter what time I come, the burgers are fresh and the employees there are ALWAYS super nice, friendly and give you a smile ^^ really great, you really can't compare it with Bielefeld, just great 👌

Mm I don't think it's good. I ordered via my cell phone, MC Rip and menu via the coupons. At the checkout I was told that I must have done something wrong after I entered the pickup code. My order even showed up on the display. Afterwards, the incompetent employee (and I'm afraid that was The Boss himself) helped me by telling me that I should cancel the order because somehow a burger only costs 3 euros 🤦. I did it. And thank God this company didn't have any major sales. Work on your social skills. LG

Today was underground. Ordered in the drive, gave the code from the app, and ordered two additional things. I received the two things, but not the code from the app. I say, "something is missing", the reaction is "that can't be the case, I heard what was ordered". When asked why I give out a code, order two additional things and only receive two, when she wants to hear what I ordered, she brings in a colleague who again says she heard that. There was never any doubt about what I ordered, but about what was given out. Then one of them said “see?” - so rude about it. I would recommend that you take an analytical look at your customer journey and check your touchpoints. I can understand that in times of benchmarking, fast processes are preferred. That also explains why you order from this McDonald's and the order is immediately marked as "ready" and you still have to wait, because the process time is presumably stretched internally and subjected to benchmarking. So today was really underground, it seemed like they were trying to "rip" the customers. If that's the case, then you should get something to eat elsewhere. In the future, I would only pay after I have received the goods, if this is not possible due to internal protocols, then the system is not compatible with the customer or individual subsystems of this restaurant business.

Unfortunately, half of the order is always missing. The staff hardly speaks German and communication is difficult. You have to wait a long time for your order and it's best to check it straight away. If something is missing and you complain, you will be treated unkindly. Although the fault does not lie with you, but with the staff. This can happen sometimes, but not all the time.

The food is always cold. And the staff acts friendly, but ignores customers' questions. Mcdrive service is really bad. The staff is very incompetent. The service is no longer what it was. Price performance doesn't fit at all.

This is the shittiest McDonald's I've ever been to. I mean, eating from them is always a tightrope walk anyway, either something is missing or it's been there for so long that it's moving. No matter where I eat at Mc'es, it tastes better than in WIEDENBRÜCK. Added to this is the absolutely unfriendly staff. The meat on the chicken burgers is GREY, I think that says it all. In addition, no matter when you order you will receive cold food. I CAN ONLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO GO TO THE STORE, DON'T EAT ANYTHING AT MC DONALDS IN WIEDENBRÜCK. Drive further to Gütersloh Paderborn or Bielefeld, you can get better food everywhere. Don't know what's wrong there, but I know one thing for sure: "NEVER AGAIN MC DONALDS IN WIEDENBRÜCK", they should eat the rotten burgers they put out there themselves.

Waiting for 20 minutes to then receive three out of four (quite cold) items from a completely overwhelmed employee. The employees sometimes move through the restaurant at a snail's pace and, thanks to the new system, probably don't know whether they should serve or pack first. Don’t forget to breathe! Update after 6 years: Still incompetent employees who can't count to 5, who simply leave out two components of the Happy Meal and can't distinguish between plant-based and chicken! 👏👏👏

McDonald's: prices are always higher, burgers are quite tasty, fries are often cold or oversalted... staff very friendly. The women's restroom smelled terribly of sweat the last time we visited

The toilets at McDonalds are now generally more bad than good, almost no matter where they are...but I have rarely experienced something like that in Wiederbrück. I can't stand the smell of urine, it actually burns my eyes. In general, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.

Absolutely disgusting how long you have to wait. It no longer has anything to do with fast food restaurants or system catering.

Very nice McDonald's, the employee was super friendly and helpful, she made my latte macchiato decaffeinated and even brought it to the table. Everything was clean. The music wasn't too loud and it was comfortably furnished. Recommended

When you order from the MC Drive, something is missing almost every time and it just keeps getting worse... The citizens aren't particularly lovingly put together either. More mass than class. We will avoid this branch in the future.

Why wasn't this posted? Whoever it is. McDrive is not open although it is displayed online and unfortunately cannot be recognized on site. Only became known after a call. App Order even sent me an email 1 hour later everything was received in a friendly manner. Because stupid minus 1 🌟ü

It used to be good, but not at all for a while now. If something is done wrong or forgotten with every order, instead of extra bacon, only bacon instead of curly fries, standard fries, etc. 'Drive in' users, under no circumstances drive away without checking!!! But otherwise it's better to avoid it completely and drive a few meters further to Burger King.

Ate there today with 4 people (November 8th 4:45 p.m.) When the food was brought (everything was squeezed onto a tray) everything fell over and the drinks were poured over me from above! Pants, jacket, shoes, cell phone full of cola! The service employee wordlessly went back to the counter with the tray and had a hearty laugh with his colleagues about the situation while I was standing soaking wet in the cola - then I went to the counter in anger, "what's funny about looking like that" and had the funny get-together interrupted with that - then I tried to clean myself in the toilet somehow! An employee went to the toilet to make a phone call - no help there either! When I came back, neither table nor chairs etc. had been dried, cleaned or even offered any help! At some point a service employee came with a new tray and said it was the intern - no apology - nothing! After being asked to speak to the manager, she replied cheekily - he said I should remake the food and be done with it (we could hardly eat the cola food either)! I then had to get into the car with my pants wet! There was nothing! Neither the re-ordered ice cream was free and not even a sorry! Really great staff there!

I don't recommend this place at all! Bosses who don't pay attention to employees who do their jobs properly and "others who don't do anything are seen well." About food, not so much.

Something really seems to be going wrong here! Our daughter wanted a visit from “Big M” 😊! And what don’t you do 😉! But as soon as I walked in I regretted it! The trolley at the entrance with the trays was completely full of rubbish, the service didn't understand me properly due to language problems! There was something lying around everywhere, garbage or leftover food, the tables were dirty and some of the seating too! I would have loved to go!!!!! No matter whether it is McDonald's or another fast food restaurant, a certain level of cleanliness should be the be-all and end-all in these industries, no matter how much stress there is or how many staff there are, it simply has to be better organized!!! Sorry, but if I don't have to, I won't come back!!!

Fast restaurant like any McDonald's.

Unfortunately, the service has been leaving more and more to be desired lately. The service doesn't really understand you (linguistically) and then it's happened twice now that I had the wrong food in my bag and had to go back, not so nice. Friendly, yes, but if there are problems with communication, it's a bit problematic.

McDonald's has become expensive

I paid via PayPal and now found that the last 2 orders were charged normally even though the coupon price was shown to me first. Danger! Better to pay in cash!

The food was almost cold. The tables are greasy. The returns overflowed. And it wasn't ready, even though it was shown as ready for collection. Not much fits together. I've had much better experiences there. I'll watch.

I often order from McDonald's in Wiedenbrück, but the last two times I was really disappointed. Each time the Hamburger Royal TS was missing from my order, which is super frustrating when you're sitting at the table with your family and realize the main dish is missing. Unfortunately, I only noticed this when I got home, so I couldn't sort it out straight away. These repeated errors really raise doubts about the service. Hopefully things will get better in the future.

What actually happened yesterday? "Staff shortage" or a team, what is not careful enough? When we walked in we were immediately shocked! There was something on the floor "everywhere", tables hadn't been wiped down, a lot of things just looked dirty. If we hadn't been so hungry, we would have continued straight away. The order also came to the table cold, simply poor. We won't be coming back!

Staff very unfriendly. Eat…. Pfff cold and if you want something fresh then someone comes back with the cold order, he tries the meat and says it's still a bit warm. I got fresh ones but his comment was as if I didn't like it then next time I shouldn't order from there anymore.

The waiting times are falsified by simply changing all orders to ready for pickup even though they won't be there until 10 more.

Very friendly, courteous and fast service. Everything was very clean and tidy.

Staff was friendly, toilets clean. But I'm really disappointed at how expensive the burgers or the menus in general have become and the quality of the burgers is no longer what it used to be. My cheeseburger, the cheese wasn't even melted, half of the cheese was next to the burger and it was only half a slice of cheese. Then just a slice of cucumber... sorry guys, that's too expensive for me...

Burgers with green tomatoes, it feels like they took it from Paul! There are no cola straws and no one speaks English.

There is no ice cube selection at the ordering terminal and the annoying beeping must be a torment for all employees... otherwise typical McD.

Unfortunately I have to correct the previous rating significantly downwards. Things have been missing from orders all the time lately or the wrong toys are there even though the employees have chosen them and then the wrong ones are packed in. The children don't understand this and are disappointed. But you can't always see an order for the whole family there. Most of the time the statement comes that everything is included. And then something is missing at home again. You can then think about whether you want to drive through the whole city again and let your food get cold.

At the moment it's really taking too long in the drive-in. Every time you have to pull into the parking lot and wait...: Even though there isn't much going on. Please change again

Food here is okay for a mecces, there's nothing to complain about here. It's just a shame that card payment doesn't work for mobile orderers, as does the ice cream machine/mobile orderers, which sometimes don't work.

Nice little cozy branch, the only thing that bothered me was the parking spaces! There aren't exactly many of them and it's tight too! But all in all okay
