I ordered plant-based nuggets for the third time in a row and received the ones with meat every time...

Since the renovation, it's completely confusing. The TV with the numbered menus was also switched off. The staff was very unfriendly. I asked my children for a lid for their Happy Meal drink, and they wanted a straw. I received a curt reply that they don't give them out anymore. The food was also a complete disaster – everything was just thrown together and thrown together!

A modern McDonald's with very friendly staff! I was passing through and wanted to grab a quick and easy meal. This place was perfect. My order was ready in less than five minutes. The staff I encountered were consistently friendly and attentive. The entire McDonald's has a modern design, is clean, and invites you to linger for a short while. A really great place for a quick stop!

A good McDonald's. After the renovation and investment this year, the fast-food branch in Itzehoe is, in my opinion, generally more attractive (though that's subjective). I also find the service more coordinated and the restaurant cleaner. The burgers, coffee, and other items were prepared properly. I hope the quality remains this good.

Absolutely terrible McDonald's. The guy behind the counter didn't say a word, neither hello nor goodbye. It could be because he doesn't speak German, like 90% of the employees. The burger was carelessly thrown together, the fries were soggy (even though we ordered them in). All in all, disappointing once again. Go to Burger King instead! 88

Eat in, just like McDonald's... delivery service is terrible. I ordered a large fries, two sauces, and a chicken burger in the Family Bundle, paid for it, but it wasn't delivered... 😬😬😬 As I've read here afterwards, it's apparently not an isolated incident. Goodbye 👋

The food arrived very quickly, but my matcha latte smelled strongly of fish. Very disappointing, especially since it cost €3.99 and I didn't even really want to drink it because it was so unpleasant. The best one I've had so far was in Hamburg; the latte in Heide was also good, but at least it didn't smell fishy. 😔

McDonald's has generally become a terrible place. The vegetarian option in the wrap has absolutely no salad in it, and it costs €5.50 for that 😂

Food is good, but almost 2 hours delivery is not acceptable

Unfortunately, there are no vegan or vegetarian burgers anymore.

The employees aren't friendly at all; they don't even smile or anything. They give you dirty looks, as if they don't want to work. I don't think that's in keeping with the spirit of this restaurant.

*★☆☆☆☆* Unfortunately disappointing. I wanted to order the McSpicy for €3.50 today using the McDonald's app instead of €6.49. However, the app didn't generate a code for me because it apparently crashed – a technical error, so I was unable to find a solution. Despite explaining the situation, *no assistance was available from the employees at the Itzehoe branch*. As a result, I didn't get a McSpicy and had to leave the drive-thru without ordering. It's a shame; I would have preferred more customer service here.

I wait 30 minutes in the store for my food, can prove when I ordered, get an ice cream as an apology after 25 minutes, and after 30 minutes, an employee comes over to tell me that I actually got my food and that I'm trying to cheat. I've never experienced such bad service.

Top branch – 10/10 service! It was my first time there, as I was just passing through. Despite the crowds (around 9 p.m.), everything was clean and well organized. Because of the slightly longer wait, I even got a free coffee – super thoughtful! Despite the stress, the branch manager was very friendly and accommodating. The only downside: the parking lot was completely full, so I had to park on the street. Still, this is the first McCafé that's a true 10/10 for me. If all branches were like this, I'd really have to start exercising. 😅

Fries not cooked through. They've gotten smaller. They've gotten more expensive!

The food was like everywhere else. The staff took some getting used to. We didn't get napkins with our McRib. When I stood at the counter to ask for them, no one came. She was "in the back" and was having fun. When she saw me, she turned around and left me standing there. After waiting a few minutes, I got the napkins myself before my food got cold. Of course, a young man (an employee) noticed this and gave me a rude shout-out. Maybe they should teach me some customer service skills.

I'm really angry! I just asked how to order a McFlurry for my daughter, but they just hung up! Terrible customer service.

I was just there, and the employee immediately recognized that we were tired and gave us four cappuccinos. I would definitely give all the employees in Itzehoe a raise.

Several products were missing from each of the last two orders... The side salad was missing, but the dressing and cutlery were packed... The next time, all the dips were missing... No ketchup, no sweet and sour sauce... Some training is urgently needed here... They have packing lists, is it too much to ask for them to check them off? I will exclusively check every part of the order... As of summer 2025.

I was truly disappointed with this kebab! The flatbread was dry and stale, as if it had been sitting around for days. The meat was tough and tasted like it was prepared in a fast-food restaurant that didn't use fresh ingredients. The vegetables were bland and seemingly frozen. Even the sauce couldn't save the overall impression—it was watery and flavorless. Overall, this kebab was a complete disappointment. The burgers were quite tasty, though.

Today (March 27, 2022), I ordered food for a family of four via Lieferando at 7:40 p.m. The food was supposed to arrive at 8:08 p.m. So far, so bad. Order confirmation via email, etc., all standardized. When the food wasn't delivered at 8:45 p.m., I called the Itzehoe branch. There I was informed that the driver had tried to call me a few times (?). The driver then showed up at the gate at 9:15 p.m., and I was asked to accept the cold food. I politely declined, saying I wanted more food. When I asked about the delay, the driver said the previous customers couldn't be reached, which was why he was so late... He said he was bringing new, hot food... More waiting... At 9:55 p.m., the driver finally arrived... YES: A Coke I had ordered and paid for with one of the meals was missing. The food, as we discovered immediately after unpacking, wasn't even lukewarm, so the warning on the apple turnover packaging (be careful, it's hot) was a complete mockery. CONCLUSION: If anything, we'll only eat at the branch from now on. Because we know that the drive-in is like the Bermuda Triangle (there are always things missing from the bags). Unfortunately, they didn't make amends for this absolutely disastrous service. I would have preferred not to give it a star... MEAL Update 08/20/2025: I'd rather not. Because service isn't a priority here. About 14 days ago, I placed an order for four people at the drive-in. (There were few customers there) I got the food and discovered at home that two 6-pack Chicken McNuggets were missing. Today, I placed another order (for two people) at the drive-in. I was asked if the order had been taken correctly. (The order is displayed on a monitor.) This was the case. There were almost no customers there. So, in good spirits, I paid for my food, received it, and headed home. And: Tadaaaaa! A portion of curly fries was missing... and the Filet O Fish had been carelessly slapped into the package. I have the suspicion that they're secretly working to maximize profits by not passing on paid goods to the customer... Since the food at McDonald's isn't exactly cheap, it's annoying when you don't get the entire meal—and the one you paid for. Congratulations, McDonald's at Brookhafen: Now you have one less customer. Because for just over €50 for two people, I'd rather go to a real restaurant and get much better service there! The visit can certainly cost more. Franchise or not, but this has nothing to do with McDonald's standards. ENJOY!

I can't recommend this country because I ate there yesterday. For me there was a boy who was missing a whole menu from our order. I told my mum to go through it once so they don't forget something in the new house. My mum's menu was missing a burger, whereupon my dad offered him his burger. She said no, if she hadn't ordered a burger with it, she would have only had fries and a drink. I had a hamburger with pickles, two burgers had pickles on them, one even had 4 pickles.

I bought an MC Wrap with egg and bacon, a duo with dark chocolate, and an MC Muffin with sausage. The sausage in the MC Muffin was so spicy that I couldn't enjoy it.

Food as usual – McDonald's, but you're supposed to avoid touching anything there, let alone using the restrooms! It was so disgusting that I actually wanted to leave, but what must be done must be done. All the toilets were clogged and filled with pee, and there was no soap. Toilet paper was either empty or lying on the floor. Simply disgusting! Never again!

Ordered a silly thing. We always eat it. Was in the parking lot and had the food delivered to the car. Super awesome. Pull out the MC Rip and eat it. Tastes just like always. It always does. So my fingers got dirty, too. Look in the bag: No serving. No wipe for the inside. Nothing. Thanks. I managed to eat it without getting dirty myself. And now I have to get my fingers clean somewhere. Wipe them on the car seat, no way. Now off home and put on a new T-shirt. Thank you so much for that!

Yes, "good ambiance and a renovation" don't justify a stomach bug!! -Irony off. I wrote this review 4 years ago, but I'm adding an update because I tried McDonald's again a few days ago to spare the next person this misery! One day after "enjoying" a cheeseburger with fries, I got the bill: upset stomach, great-grandfather!! I'm still feeling really bad and have been bedridden for a week. McDonald's isn't comparable to what it was back then! That great metaphor: Now, going to McDonald's for a delicious cheeseburger... ugh. The meat has become so inferior. That's it!!! ------------ That was the last time we got food here! I ordered a Big Rösti. It was cold, the Röstiburger was almost white, barely cooked, and the meat was tough with gristle. Delicious is something else entirely!! We also had fries, Fanta, and curly fries. The only thing that was okay was the Fanta!! The fries were cold, too. We ate 15 minutes after ordering!!! Never again. Mecces used to be better, we're very disappointed.

I haven't been to McDonald's in Itzehoe for a while, so I was all the more surprised by how much it has changed.🥰 The dark, narrow room is now much brighter and airier; the electronic animation table has been removed, and three or six ordering modules have been installed instead. But you can still order at the cash register.👍 The restrooms feel larger now; there are three women's restrooms, a men's restroom next door, and one for people with disabilities or a family restroom with a changing table.♥️ The waste area has been given a separation table, where customers are asked to help dispose of their own waste properly. This can be done within a minute.😁 The bright color scheme of the room fulfills its purpose; the space feels larger and more pleasant. Next to the entrance, you'll also find suitable seating for little ones (2 high chairs). Whether at the vending machine or at the checkout, after ordering, you'll receive a number/license plate 🤣 that you should place clearly visible on the table. A short time later, your food will be brought to you by the very friendly staff. The outdoor area has also been redesigned and includes a play area for children. Caution: The outdoor area isn't secured enough to allow your child to play there alone!!! Access to the sidewalk and street is open, while the path to the parking lot and the drive-thru is only secured by a swinging door. 😎😉 This McDonald's also offers home delivery, but I don't know how that works; I live too far away. Luckily 🤣🤣🤣🤣!!! Yes, the prices have gone up here too, where not. But every now and then, you treat yourself. The food was delicious as always.

What a filthy place. We didn't eat there because it was so dirty. The tables, especially outside, were so filthy that we could only find one acceptable table. The others hadn't been cleared or were so dirty that you had to wonder, was it gravy or blood from the last fight? When we got to the table, we wanted to order via the app because half the terminals weren't working, as is usual in branches these days. When the wind started blowing rubbish around our feet, we had had enough and left. McDonald's has finally had its day; we're not going there anymore. I'm very disappointed with this McDonald's. After the renovation, it's much too small, and the seating is too narrow for overweight people. The food is too cold, and the burgers are falling apart. The fries are wobbly and cold. The patties slide out of the burgers, and there's too much sauce on them. The tables are too dirty. You get stuck to the table. I've had better meals at McDonald's.

It's simply unbelievable that they employ people who can work. You pay for your food and unpack it and as always half of it is missing. I might as well throw my money away. It makes exactly the same sense. I would really like to have my money back soon for food that I paid for and didn't receive.

Was at the drive-thru and wanted to eat at home with your wife and kids. Have you ever had to explain to your 3-year-old why there were no nuggets because they weren't wrapped, while you were hungry yourself because a portion of fries was missing? It wasn't pleasant.

Today I stood at the McD's for 32 minutes to buy a Happy Meal. I asked for a toy, which, strangely enough, you're no longer allowed to choose, but a toy. In the bag was a battered old book that no one seemed to want, with signs of wear and tear. Absolutely outrageous. Someone was actually putting the new one in there and both of them got it wrong. If only I'd checked the packaging, my daughter is very upset. Never again at McD's in Itzehoe. P.S. The fries were ice cold.

I got a wrap, a McFlurry, fries, a chicken burger and a chicken big mac. The wrap was open, had a bite in it and was cold, the McFlurry was completely empty, the fries were almost empty and the chicken burger was full of cum.

Our Happy Meal was old and cold! When I went to the counter to complain, there were two more Happy Meals that were already finished and hadn't been ordered... I don't even want to know how old they were. I got new nuggets, but the fries were old, lukewarm, and soggy! Disgusting and outrageous! And that after waiting 15 minutes...

Unfortunately, since the renovation, the staff has been very small. They're very unfriendly, don't listen properly, and their tone is very aggressive. You get a completely different order than what you ordered. Or sometimes the food is already cold, or the petty sauces are way over-seasoned. A real shame!!!

First they change the chili sauce to this disgusting thing called "Sweet Chili," then this disgusting stuff is now put on the once delicious chicken burger. The sauce makes me want to puke.

There's been a massive problem with the ordering machines and privacy since the renovation... There's a mirror hanging above the ordering machine where you can see the debit card device. In other words, you can see person Xy entering their PIN when the machine requests it. Beyond that, you can see what person Xy is doing on their phone from several tables away via the mirror. The ordering machines are extremely poorly positioned and probably not any better for wheelchair users than they were before the renovation...

Do fat people advertise glasses that are then not available?!

"As a vegetarian, I accidentally received meat in a mozzarella wrap (it can happen) – BUT I wasn't taken seriously on the phone. The stringy, chopped pieces smell strongly of chicken and, according to my partner, taste like it, too. Yes, that's supposedly the mozzarella." So, to all of you who don't want to/can't/aren't allowed to eat meat... be especially careful!

I just ordered takeout. Unfortunately, there was no Minecraft figure in the Happy Meal, just some cardboard Minion figure. Maybe they should at least mention it or stop advertising it. I also ordered two chicken burgers without sauce. When I got home, I realized they left out the lettuce and left out the sauce. So, no food for me today, and overall, it was pretty disappointing. 😞

Trash cans, tables and seating were cleaned by the service staff outside with just a cloth without rinsing it once. The rag even fell on the floor and all the bacteria continued to be smeared. Not even disinfectant was used. I reported it to the restaurant management. They apologized. Let's see if anything changes in the near future.

My Bigtasty Bacon tasted rotten from the middle on (weird, there was also a lot more sauce on the burger than normal) so I threw it away. A short time later I felt sick. Same thing with my wife's cheeseburger. Today, Easter Sunday, we were both lying flat with diarrhea etc. Thank you McDonald's Itzehoe!

People are more likely to be tempted to write bad reviews. But do these people ever think about the fact that the Itzehoer McDonald's has just been completely renovated? Before that, the entire interior was actually pretty “shabby”. Now everything shines in a new look. And that's all chic! Even if not everything is successful, the touch of “new” clearly predominates. The tomatoes aren't ripe and there's a lot of noise in the shop

You have to imagine that. It's being remodeled and everything is simply worse than before. There are now even fewer parking spaces, even fewer seating options and they are now narrower than before. I'm slim, but others... Some of the staff are still in a bad mood. Not all! But those who are dissatisfied with their lives at McDonald's should consider applying elsewhere.

There's a lot going on and there's insults in the kitchen

I ordered this Minecraft menu at 11am. The minecraft (Nether) sauce was no longer available. I ordered take away and the food was served on the tablet. When the employee packed my food, I got a normal brown bag instead of this yellow box. My toy was missing (had to specifically address it). When I got home I noticed that the cheeseburger was also missing.

So the food (actually everything) was more cold than warm, something was forgotten which I then got when I asked. Were there for the first and last time, there are better branches than the one in Itzehoe. Unfortunately I can't recommend any.

My husband ordered online to pick up a good hour ago. Service itself was quite good, but when he got home the toy was missing from the Happy Meal... What children usually look forward to the most. So Happy Meal without Happy... Sad! This happened for the first time ever. Strangely enough, since the renovation, something suddenly went wrong.

The burgers were completely "squashed" and the kitchen didn't make any effort. I would understand if it was very busy, but the store was almost empty. Too bad. I get more for the money elsewhere. Update: The store has just been remodeled. But it didn't make anything better. Quite the opposite. Everything is cramped, the toilets are a disaster and the staff is in no way friendly or service-oriented! The fries were limp and cold.

The renovation was a complete failure. Whoever waved this through should be left behind. It used to be cozy, and even larger groups could dine comfortably thanks to the two largest tables. Overall, it feels much smaller, with fewer seating options. Now it's totally uncomfortable. We were absolutely shocked at how it could go so badly. The food counters and ordering kiosks are in different places throughout the store, meaning there's always people walking or standing around you. Overall, I think it's too brightly lit. Nothing to complain about with the staff, and it was clean too. And the food is Mecci, what else can you expect. So, everything's good :) The old one was truly wonderful. I'm no longer recommending OKF.

The renovation looks like it was intentional but not done right. Since the OG McDonald's is no longer what it used to be, I'll now get my burgers at the next burger joint. It's really sad... everything was better back then!

McWrap - the only thing I really like to order here, I look forward to it... It gets messed up more and more every year. 5 minutes ago I got this mess delivered, what a surprise... from loyal customers. Otherwise only male jizz sticks to paper, which just gives me something to think about. However. I don't want to demand a replacement for Hassle now. The prices have already been raised almost like a mafia, really nice to use the small inflation and price increases to exploit customers. Of course it's not this store's fault - but the franchise store and the entire company are being evaluated here. In short, the quality of the wraps has dropped drastically since three/four deliveries, too much sauce at the beginning, then the toppings were completely amateurish, and now an unacceptable dough that sticks to the greenwashing packaging paper, with no chance of ever unpacking the wrap properly. Not to mention that the penultimate delivery contained burgers (this Big Rösti and a Double Royal TS Cheese) which were both miles away from the taste of the order placed a week earlier. The Double RTS Cheese, especially the onions (yes, really), was so inedible, so profoundly disgusting, that UNLIED and unfortunately, without exaggeration, almost the entire meal of the day came back to me. Thank God it only remains a very small piece of vomit. And then I brushed my teeth for ten minutes because I couldn't get rid of that aftertaste. Even now the quality is no longer as good as it was a few months ago. impertinence. At least drivers are always quick, even when it's slippery, and 90% of the time they're nice and courteous.

Be careful in the ladies' room. There I, a woman, was robbed by a man. I left my wallet on the coat hook in the middle toilet and forgot it when I left the toilet. As soon as I got back to my children at the table, I immediately remembered and ran straight to the toilet and searched everything. The left toilet was occupied but open. I then tried to open the door and there was resistance. After further attempts I could see a man behind it. He was Eastern European and an alcoholic. He then locked himself in and I called the staff. After about 10 minutes, two men from the staff managed to get the man to open the door. He acted surprised and allowed himself and his backpack to be searched, nothing. When he left the toilet, I searched all the toilets again and found my wallet on the coat hook in the middle toilet. The bills were gone but everything else was still there.
