Fast service, whether brought to the table or at the register. The burger meat was cooked so dry it was inedible...not the first time. An ingredient was always missing from the same burgers.

We went there for breakfast, and as soon as I finished eating, I started feeling slightly nauseous and had to go to the restaurant toilet 🤮. I had diarrhea for the rest of the day. Written on August 22, 2024. Somehow the review wouldn't go online...

I just drove through the McDonald's drive-thru again to pick up something for the family, and when I got home, I discovered that another burger had been forgotten! Like I said, not for the first time! This hadn't happened for a while, but now it's happened twice in quick succession. The quality at McDonald's has been declining for quite some time now, while the prices have been rising! Even premium burgers are increasingly being thrown together without any care and don't look anything like the glossy pictures anymore. McDonald's in Bad Hersfeld used to be a place where I liked to meet up with friends before or after a party or a movie. But those days are gone...

I was at the drive-thru last night... Big Rosty was very good... Service at the first window - 6, delivery - 6. Tonight, the same burger... it was all jumbled up in the box because it was so dry... potato flakes all around... so hard... Service and window again - 6. No good evening, no goodbye.

I placed an order online at 1:00 AM last night, but the restaurant in 36251 Bad Hersfeld was closed, even though it was listed as open. The money was taken from my account, but I haven't received anything. Very frustrating, especially since Google showed it was open for another hour. No response or solution so far. What a shame!

I worked at this branch a while ago—and I've been trying not to eat there ever since. During my time there, I saw many things that made me very uneasy, but since I desperately needed an income, I had no choice but to accept it. There were problems right from the start: My employment contract was completely smeared because the printer was apparently malfunctioning. The work clothes I was given were mostly secondhand and some were even dirty. When I asked for a larger sweater because the one I was given was too small, I received the completely inappropriate response that it was the largest size available and that I should lose weight so it would fit. I was also told that I had to buy my own safety shoes because the floor was very slippery—and if I slipped, it would be my own fault. The person who was supposed to train me had absolutely no patience and took the opportunity to criticize my tattoos. She called them "demonic" and said she didn't like them. Another unpleasant practice there was to "update" the time on the apple turnovers every two hours so they were always considered "fresh." I can only recommend avoiding them. It was quite simply the worst workplace I've ever had. And why am I only writing this now, after two years? Because today—while eating there—I found a hair in my fries. When I then saw the same faces as back then, all the memories came flooding back.

I ordered McPlant nuggets, and the employee told me they were McPlant nuggets in a chicken nugget package. But when I ate the nuggets, I realized they were almost certainly meat. I went to the employee and told him they were meat, at which point the employee who had given me the nuggets admitted it was meat. I then received new, proper McPlant nuggets, and you can see the difference. I find it incredibly rude to look me straight in the eye and claim the nuggets are McPlant, knowing full well they're made of meat. In my opinion, that's unacceptable. I'm a vegetarian, and I found it extremely outrageous.

This shady operation doesn't answer the phone when you call. What's the point of having a phone number? Answer it or don't bother.

It was surprisingly very clean.

It was really annoying; the ceiling light was broken and kept blinking. Okay, these things happen. But the fact that the staff couldn't tune the radio station was incredibly frustrating. The station kept switching on and off, on and off, accompanied by a crackling noise. Unfortunately, the server didn't really understand German, and we tried to ask her if they could change the station, but to no avail. At least they turned the music off in the end. Our coffee order—a latte and a cappuccino—came to our table in the same cup, with no label indicating which was which. No one knew which was which. Well, at least my breakfast burger was edible.

Unfortunately, there was a long wait for the food. Otherwise, it was okay.

I ordered through Lieferando, and then they listed products they didn't have... Not my first time; last time I was cheated out of my money. This time I didn't want to take it and asked for a replacement product. At first, I wanted my money back, but "that's not possible, as always, because Lieferando"... Product not there, suddenly the product is there, but days old??? I hope the health department takes a look at this store more often, it's simply disgusting... PS: I filmed the delivery man during the delivery and can fully document the condition of the products. His first sentence (as soon as he realized the camera was recording), even before a friendly hello: "I only deliver, I don't do anything else!" Anyone who thinks evil of this is a scoundrel...

Participated in Easter promotion the day before yesterday and got a Big Mac for 1.50 €, which was super good

The cheese on my McCripspy had a consistency similar to PlayDou. At that consistency, I couldn't even get it off my burger.

We like McDonald's and the food is delicious – the atmosphere and taste are the same everywhere. Unfortunately, something is missing from our McDrive order almost every time (about 4 out of 5 visits). Sometimes it's fries, sometimes a burger, sometimes a drink. This gets very annoying in the long run, especially when you don't notice it until you get home. It happened again today!

A disaster! We were there after our vacation in Turkey. We landed in Erfurt and then went to Bad Hersfeld. After ordering, we were told that the ice cream machine was broken, which the kids were delighted with. A refund arrived 20 minutes later. No apology or alternative product. The benches were broken, just not nice.

We had to wait about 25 minutes for our food, and the wrap we ordered had no salad and was almost empty.

Friendly, helpful staff, everything clean and tidy, even the restrooms. The outdoor climbing frame was also in good condition and my son really enjoyed it (it's also one of the highest compared to other McDonald's restaurants). All in all, no complaints. I often drive by when I have various appointments in Bad Hersfeld. Often, I bring something for the children. Unfortunately, it's happened quite often that parts of the order, most recently my daughter's Happy Meal, were simply not packed. You'd expect the order to be packed systematically (in a fast food restaurant). The burgers themselves are as you'd expect. But it's just annoying when something's missing. Because let's be honest, fast food isn't exactly cheap. You're reminded to check your order, but let's be honest, with larger orders, who would do that at that moment, especially if you're alone in the car? In any case, I highly recommend everyone at this McD to check carefully to see if everything is there... From now on, I'll take the time to check carefully, regardless of whether someone is pushing behind me. In any case, it seems as if the staff is having trouble processing larger orders; I can't think of any other explanation. The consistency? Somewhere between overly thick chalk paint and an expired protein shake. It was as if the shake itself wasn't sure whether it wanted to be liquid or solid—so it chose both, in an unholy state of limbo. The fact that McDonald's not only waved this shake through, but actively promoted it, makes me seriously doubt the sensory integrity of their product development. Who tried it – and then *approved* it? I want names. Dear McDonald's team: If Grimace knew what you were selling under his name, he would turn in his (nonexistent) grave. This shake isn't a celebration, but an assault on taste buds and dignity at the same time. **Conclusion:** The Grimace Shake isn't purple because of the figure, but because every tongue that tastes it turns purple in protest. Please remove this crime from the menu – for the good of all of us.

I ordered a McSundae with caramel, the ice cream was only half filled and there was very little caramel, plus fries and in the fries I found something like this (see picture)

The slowest McDonald's I've ever been to. It was really quiet, our order was small, and we still didn't get our food. It was an unpleasant experience. The staff weren't friendly either.

One star is still too many! What we experienced here was by far the worst McDonald's visit ever – and that's saying something. We waited over 45 minutes for our food until I had to go to the counter myself, only to be rudely (!) informed that we had simply been forgotten and our order wasn't even being processed. No apology, no consideration – just disinterest. When the food finally arrived, it was the next disappointment: unsalted fries, soggy burgers with toppings so poorly and unstable that you could barely touch them, let alone eat them. The whole thing was an absolute disgrace. The absolute low point: With the Happy Meal, I explicitly asked for the correct toy for our son – but they still packed the wrong one. When I asked about it, the employee (presumably the shift manager) reacted extremely rudely and claimed she wasn't allowed to give out the toy from the display case, even though it was clearly there. Zero understanding, zero customer focus. And as if that weren't enough: The already late order was missing ketchup, mayo, and other side dishes – simply forgotten, like so many things here. An apology? None. No "we're sorry," no concession – nothing. Conclusion: Disastrous service, lousy food, and absolutely no customer focus. Who would seriously feel comfortable here, let alone come back, is beyond me. For us, one thing is clear: once and never again!

Mega Donalds - when you're traveling through 🤪

I don't eat at McDonald's often, but I've been to many countries, including McDonald's in Germany, but the one in Hersfeld is by far the worst I've ever eaten at! I can't imagine there being a worse one anywhere, honestly! Yesterday was the second time I've eaten there because I wanted to give it another chance and, admittedly, had forgotten why I was so annoyed last time... well, yesterday I remembered again. The staff are unfriendly, the food was cold, not to mention the fact that the burgers looked like they'd been thrown through the air and then everything fell out while I was eating them... the bags were poorly packed, the drinks were half filled with ice cubes, so much so that you could only really taste the ice. That was definitely the last time I go to that place... you can do better anywhere else! I spent almost €30 there for disgusting food…which gave me a stomach ache today…next time I'll invest the money in a schnitzel from a snack bar…I'll be better off there and still have money left over 😅

This has never happened to me in a single McDonald’s in all the countries I have visited! Nothing like this has ever happened in any other McDonald’s in Germany! The first time – well, maybe an oversight can happen. The second time – well, an unfortunate coincidence. But a third time? This is already negligence and an irresponsible attitude to work! I regularly travel with my children from Burbach to visit friends in Saxony and in the middle of the journey the visit to a “Mäcke” is “actually” a highlight during the journey there and back. After not so good experiences in Bad Hersfeld a few months ago, we usually go to the local branch in Eisenach, but unfortunately it closes at midnight, which we missed this time. So, actually against our better judgment, we had to go back to the branch in Bad Hersfeld, which yesterday managed to dramatically undercut the already poor performance of two or three months ago, which prompted me to post a review publicly. The branch has nothing to do with the clientele, but without the protection of me as a 2.11m father, I wouldn't have let my teenage daughters go there. But that was just the first impression. As with any restaurant located in a truck stop, the restrooms were visited first. None: The toilets were all blocked, filled with chairs and work equipment, some of which were very dusty. Only the disabled toilet was available in moderation. I struck up a conversation with a young regular who was also waiting, as he said, who told me that “this” was common practice and had been like this for a long time. The toilet itself still had stickers from the pandemic period, was dirty, had no lists of cleaning intervals and of course no soap. Maybe acceptable for us boys, my daughter came out of the toilet disgusted. This picture continued throughout the entire facility. The crew of three people, who were talking loudly in Albanian(?), completely ignored a group of teenagers smoking. For this reason we stayed in the cash register area, which didn't add to our cheerfulness. Admittedly, two hours before closing time, we placed a large order for five people, which apparently pushed the gentlemen to their limits and beyond. Apart from the obviously unkempt condition of the serving rooms (flattened fries on the floor, half-drunk cups, broken machines, paper waste in the ice cream machine's dispensing chute, cardboard lids underneath the equipment, open wiring harnesses in the area of ​​the connections, etc.), general hygiene is apparently also a foreign concept there. The fries are touched with the bare hand, which was previously used to touch machines and exchange high fives with customers ("I'm an Albanian, you brother!" - Exactly this "brother" came back five minutes later because his cheeseburger menu only had one burger instead of two. This customer was then given the burger from our order, which, you guessed it, was missing from our order, but more on that later.). The apple turnovers were not ready, but had to be made for five minutes. My daughter and I waited a total of 32 minutes (!) for the complete order, which was not complete and was mostly cold. The apple turnovers were great, hence the second star, and the small salad was strangely fresh, but the first star, but otherwise: underground. The burgers were mostly cold in the middle, lukewarm at best. The fries had no salt (!), were soft and "floppy", which is no wonder when the crew apparently doesn't understand how to operate the fryers ("Why is something beeping?" "I don't know, take it out and put the stuff in there." pointing to the area with the "finished" fries.). At this point the frozen fries had been in the fryer for maybe a minute (?)? Conclusion: We were missing a drink, a burger and a dessert, which only became apparent when I asked. Drinks are watered down to the maximum, the burgers are carelessly slapped together and some are served cold. Employees are quite friendly if they understand you. In McDrive you're just being taken for a ride, you order a large drink but you only get half a cup filled.

Food is really great! The portions are not too big and you are warmly welcomed. You sit really comfortably. Unfortunately, it will probably be our last visit if it is actually to be demolished. :(

So I've never seen a McDonalds as dirty as in Bad Hersfeld...and the staff doesn't work at all, sorry, it's a restaurant and have nothing to do with hygiene, especially no teeth in my mouth, I was already sick and on top of that there was hair on my citizen...of course it can happen, I went there and let them know and it was watched 100 times. Incredibly overpriced fast food. McDonalds hides prices. Apparently marketing doesn't want you to get a price list of products on the website. You are “pressed” into the app. Service is generally subpar and you have to be careful what ends up in the bag. Price and performance no longer match.

I went to the drive-thru this evening and ordered a Big Mac menu, a Happy Meal and a Rösti menu. Unfortunately, when I consumed it at home, I discovered that there was a piece of foil in my Sprite, which made for an unpleasant choking experience.
