McDonald's in Duisburg

I ordered and paid for the food on the spot. I waited about 20 minutes for it. The food was for takeout, and when we got home, we were very disappointed. They forgot the nuggets in the Happy Meal, and then they forgot a whole meal with burgers, fries, and nuggets. But all the drinks and sauces were included. I'd say it hasn't been this cheap for a long time, and when you only get half of your order, that's really bad... If we ever get something again, I'll check the order on the spot.

Standard as everywhere. Staff is average, food is average, and ambiance is average. The constant beeping of the kitchen appliances is extremely annoying... New in 2025 are the catastrophic conditions in terms of sanitation and hygiene. The restrooms (I can only speak for the men) are beneath contempt. The floors are sticky with liquids on the sink and urine in the toilet, and the tile backsplash is stained with water and urine. Seals are rancid around the edges. In the sales and dining areas, the floor is greasy, and some tables and seats are dirty. The cleaning staff's checklists are either not maintained or not kept at all. I don't want to offend anyone, but they spend a lot of money there, and a certain level of cleanliness is essential.

We were here on October 19, 2025, and ordered two meals: the MC Rib Meal and the MC Tasty Chili Cheese Meal. The fries were cold and soggy, there were no chilies on the MC Tasty, and the burger was only lukewarm. Despite complaining, we weren't offered a new burger. FIRST-TIME SERVICE.

This is the first store ever where I've had to pay extra for ketchup for my children (ages 3 and 4), despite pre-ordering it for €35. Never again from this location. Sure, they have French fries...but it's not good.

Display a warning if the preparation takes more than ten minutes. That has nothing to do with fast food and is simply unnecessary stress when you have to move on.

This is the 25th time I've ordered something, and the people can't seem to do their damned job of making sure everything is in the bag. You pay a fortune for that. I just can't give the store a good rating. If I add up in my head what was missing from the orders, I come up with roughly more than €40.

Imagine you are at a fast food restaurant and are waiting 15 minutes for your food.

First of all, the food was very good, an extra request (burger without cheese) was implemented correctly and quickly. Now my problem: I drove through the drive and ordered a standard McMenu and said in advance that I wanted to use the 10% voucher from the app. When I was at the checkout the voucher could not be booked because the checkout was on strike. Called in help showed the cashier how to manually book the 10%. Instead of 10% down, it only went down 10c. I kindly pointed out to the person that 10% of €9.59 should be around 95c. The person then did a quick calculation and simply gave me 50c with a shaking hand. Since the checkout staff already looked very stressed and helpless, I wrote off the loss of around 40c.

Unfortunately, we repeatedly had to wait a very long time for our orders. Almost 20 minutes, which I consider definitely too long for fast food.

A €200 note was refused with the explanation that 'savings banks don't issue such things.' Completely incomprehensible to me – especially since there is no indication or notice about it.

The wait was far too long, and the staff spoke poor English and German. They couldn't understand us and kept giving us the wrong order. We had to wait 30 minutes to order, then 20 minutes to pay, and then another half hour for our food. I'll never go back.

So, McVitie's as usual, but the service was unfriendly and they forgot things on the order several times and gave us the wrong things. The McVitie's Wrap wasn't sealed properly, and they simply forgot the sauce on a McVitie's Flurry. It would also be advisable to wipe the floor, as there are grease footprints everywhere.

Unfortunately, I have to retract my previously positive review. We had a slightly larger order at the drive-thru today. However, we noticed that the Yuzu bags were missing. No problem. We then called the store. The phone was picked up, but no one answered at first. Then a man came on the phone. He didn't want to give us his name, only that he was the shift manager. The man was extremely unfriendly and rude on the phone, saying we were to blame for this problem because the coupons started today? Customer service definitely needs to be improved.

Not recommended. Cold fries. Annoyed-looking staff. The parking lot itself is a disaster with its enormous speed bumps, inaccessible to a sports car. Grade 5-

I ordered 7 items, and only 6 were delivered. I called, the line went off, I filed a complaint, and now what? They never call back, and now what? Nothing can be done!!! How and where can I file a complaint if McDonald's doesn't care? They kept my money and ripped me off.

Pancakes are perfect for playing mini golf, and instead of Grande, you get Regular. However, if you complain, you'll get a refill.

Today I was at this McDonald's restaurant. Ordering at the board worked perfectly. The staff was busy behind the counter, and eventually, my order was handed to me. The bags were rolled up, and I made the mistake of not checking. The result: the Big Mac meal was missing the burger. The MC Shaker Fries—shouldn't they come with a condiment, or is that only added after every second order? It would be nice if there was some information about this. The regular fries were supposed to come with mayo, but again, no such thing. Oh, and about the fries: shouldn't they be remade after a short time? At least that didn't happen on this shift. I waited 45 minutes for my double meal. The order was marked as ready, but it wasn't. There were no ice cubes, so there was no iced matcha latte. Paying was complicated. I was told to choose a different drink. No thanks, I have a drink on the menu. I then received the money and continued waiting for my completely normal meal. Fries, nuggets, royal TS. Not so exciting. The restrooms are completely hidden. There were no signs for table service. So I stood at the counter for the 45 minutes, completely relaxed, while my companion sat alone at the table and ate. All in all, completely abysmal. No one takes responsibility, no apologies, no understanding.

Lately, the people at the drive-in have been getting more and more lame.

First of all, a 35 minute wait for the menu is really the worst. When I asked for it, it was ready in 2 minutes. The burgers were half cold. The fries were okay. But the worst thing is that when I complained, the only answer I got was, it just happened. It's the absolute cheek. It's the worst McDonald's I've ever eaten in. And I can judge that because I travel a lot for business. I know I can't expect much from McDonald's, but something like that shouldn't happen, not even in a fast food restaurant.

I just ordered two MacChrispies, and they were definitely the most disgusting things I've ever eaten! The cheese tasted like garbage from a tube, and the meat was inedible because the cheese was so runny that it was just a mess with the burger! I really tried to refuse again, but unfortunately this one tasted just like what you saw! Both burgers ended up in the trash! The McChicken used to be my favorite burger, but now I only get it from McDonald's in the Netherlands... sorry, but I've never been so disappointed!

Unfortunately, the branch was very dirty. I've never experienced such extreme conditions at a McDonald's before. The interior may be showing its age, but even older furniture can and should be kept clean. Children's play areas are limited to the outdoor area. Orders came quickly, but unfortunately, the coffees barely tasted like coffee. The employees, however, were very friendly.

Extremely unprofessional and worst service that I ever experienced in any of McDonald restaurants in Europe. Waiting about 30 minutes for my order for few burger and one meal for kid be done. Employees take a random orders to sort and after questioned about take it by order numbers one lady employer was so rude and unprofessional even she yelled that they not have enough staff!!!! In the end she did not complete order , forgot to put Pie which I realized at home. Catastrophic environment and even worse service.

Nope. The restrooms were a mess. There was no response when I approached them. The food was okay... the milkshake machine has been out of service for ages. The tables are sticky, as is the floor. All specials are sold out.

I went to MCD for the first time in a long time. Ordered a cheeseburger. Received: indefinable mush, sloppy, lukewarm, and the size? I barely recognized it. Anything smaller and you'd need a magnifying glass. I feel sorry for the employees who work for MCD.

Not recommended. Due to staff shortages, waiting times can sometimes exceed half an hour after ordering.

On June 18, 2025, at 12:23 AM, a super friendly and patient employee was at the drive-thru counter. I've rarely seen such a great and dedicated employee in a McDonald's branch. Thank you for the friendly service.

Bad service! The order display didn't work, and the employee gave me the wrong number. After I complained, they simply denied it. Absolutely not recommended!

The atmosphere wasn't all that bad - but what ended up in my stomach might have been. By the way, the ice cream machine is also reminiscent of the blockbuster tvvo girl$one cup. Anyone know it? :D

Of the three items in the order, one was wrong (vanilla shake instead of strawberry shake) and one was missing completely (20 nuggets). Pretty bad ratio.

The staff seemed bored and listless. Vacant tables weren't cleaned. The sanitary facilities were almost unacceptable. One toilet was clogged, the other two were dirty. There was a roll of toilet paper ready to be torn off by the sink, and none in the stalls. We were there with a larger group, and this impression didn't change even after an hour.

One of the few branches that's this clean, where the burgers look decent and are topped exactly as you order them. The staff is cheerful and friendly. I come here all the way from downtown Duisburg. Update June 7, 2025 I'm sick of seeing my own pictures here! But the place didn't look this filthy two years ago. The employees are polite, but I can't say more than that; they're definitely not the same bunch they were back then. First of all, I know this food is anything but healthy. My wife and I are athletes and eat cleanly throughout the week, and Saturday is "food day" for my wife and me. I was there today with my wife because of the discount coupons, of course I took advantage of it and was curious about the Chicken Big Mac, along with a few nuggets and a couple of burgers and drinks. So far, it's okay! We hadn't even gotten home when the stomach bug started, and we certainly weren't the only ones who couldn't get off the toilet on Saturday night. No joke, it's irresponsible to dish this to a customer! Normally, this should be reported to the health department! Whatever it was, we suspect the ice cubes in the drink or the chicken bites; something wasn't quite fresh. In any case, we won't be going there anymore; I wouldn't recommend it. Unless someone needs an excuse (sick note) to stay home from work!

The only plus is that the food is quick (unlike other restaurants). Otherwise, there's trash everywhere, the toilets are clogged, and everything's not so exciting.

Waited an unbelievable half hour for an order, unfortunately disappointing for the fourth time. The numbers on the display were simply pressed away. Pure chaos. Incompetent store. It would be nice if the company would pay attention to the reputation its franchise companies are giving it. Truly awful!

We're used to missing items by now, but yesterday we ordered a Chicken Big Mac. Our bag contained the Chicken Big Mac wrapper, but unfortunately, it was a Beef Big Mac. Honestly, how can that happen? I'm always disappointed by the disastrous service.

Very unorganized, when you ask them about your order they just ignore and some are very rude. I understand there are many customers during holidays but if they work well organized, people won’t have to wait for too long. This is a fast food and not a restaurant yet you have to wait an hour for your order! If there is a cancellation of order that would have been okay for me to just cancel my order and just leave.

My number had been displayed on the display screen as ready for pickup long before, and it disappeared very quickly. There was no table service at all. Okay, it was busy. But that's often the case at certain times. They should hire more staff then. The tables weren't cleaned, and the clearing carts were overflowing. On top of that, the burgers were practically cold. Next time, I'll go to the branch in Ratingen-Breitscheid. They're much better organized and much cleaner there.

Unfortunately, not the most capable people there. Ordered food via Lieferando, waiting time was given as 1 hour. After about 1 1/2 hours there was still nothing and the waiting time increased again to 1 hour. After calling this branch, I was simply brushed off with the motto "we don't care, we can't change it". Absolutely not recommended this “restaurant”. It's better to order something from reliable restaurants or snack bars before you have to wait 2.5 hours to 3 hours for your food, although 1 hour is given as the confirmed delivery time 🤷🏼‍♂️

Staff is disrespectful towards women. The tall, blonde, broad guy even stands next to him and laughs for minutes. When I asked everyone out loud why no one else said anything, everyone was silent. Only the colleague who treated me snippily tried to justify himself instead of simply saying sorry. Ah and I ended up receiving the wrong order, which I only realized when I got home. Was that perhaps a reaction/support from colleagues? Well then I'll eat something else. But I just had to say that as a woman I won't let myself be treated like that. Only ambience 5 stars because the rat in the parking lot made me laugh. Let's get to the essentials, apart from the fact that no one can speak German, the order was ready quickly, but you also noticed that the burger patty was still red on the inside and the nuggets were bordering on a physical injury. After the short stay, you had a headache and a stomach ache, so if you want to have a sick note, go eat there on Sunday evening and you'll be on vacation the following week

Food is as good as McDonald's gets. The service is all over the place from nice service staff to unfriendly. If you don't have anything else open at night, you can go there.

Why do so many employees fail to make fresh fries? They are constantly cold and so are many other products. I think that's outrageous for the prices. The processes are actually planned and specified down to the last detail, but too many employees are not organized, leave the ice cream and run to the back to get towels. Please do another job if you're fed up and don't take it out on the customers.

The Hamburger Royal TS was great. Everything fresh and hot. Even looked practical, like in the pictures. Best in a long time.
