Very clean and tidy, friendly staff, fast service. We'd gladly come again!

We ordered via the app (with table service) on Sunday, January 4, 2026, shortly before midnight. The food was served at 11:56 p.m. We were informed that the restaurant would be closing around midnight – even though the posted hours stated they were open until 1:00 a.m. The atmosphere was very unpleasant. Within minutes, we were repeatedly told that they would be closing soon. This made it impossible for us to eat our meal in peace. Additionally, we felt constantly watched by a staff member (presumably the manager). When we were still present at 12:01 a.m., even though we had already finished eating, this seemed to be unacceptable. We had to eat hastily to avoid further comments. Overall, the service was very poor. It would be desirable to pay more attention to customer service skills when selecting staff – especially for management positions.

It's McDonald's, but it has all the features: drive-thru, order to your car, etc. It can sometimes take longer...

I had a discussion with an employee named Ruksana who refused to give me what I ordered, even though I repeatedly told her that her colleague always does it that way. She was also very unfriendly.

Friendly service staff! Ordering via terminal (which works well). Payment by card and cash is possible. Cleanliness is a priority. The food is good; I haven't had any complaints so far. However, during the summer months, I've noticed that the outdoor seating area isn't always open. Why?

My plant wrap contained a large piece of chicken instead of plant nuggets. Whether intentional or accidental, this is simply unacceptable.

Unfortunately, there are far too few staff at this branch. Table service is usually unavailable, and one person is expected to handle both drive-thru entrances and hand out the food. This is unacceptable. For this prime location, management needs to implement staffing changes.

Unfortunately, I have repeatedly had bad experiences at this branch, particularly with an older employee who apparently holds a management position. Despite clearly ordering plant-based nuggets, I was given regular nuggets. When I complained, the responsibility was shifted onto me without an apology, and the tone was very unfriendly and disrespectful. On my next visit, the same employee showed no customer service whatsoever.

The food was okay, but we were just passing through, shortly before midnight, ordered as usual, and sat down to eat. Shortly after midnight, an employee started quite rudely trying to get the customers who were eating out. For your information: The website says the restaurant is open until 2 a.m. Saturday night/Sunday morning. My advice to the restaurant: Change your opening hours online or stop taking food orders in the restaurant if you plan to close 10 minutes later. We had searched on Google for places to eat at that hour because we were just passing through, and the experience was very disappointing. It's probably not this particular branch's fault, but the McRösti with Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) is an outrage with maybe a teaspoon of spaetzle... So unnecessary.

This branch seems to be taking the negative reviews to heart. It's clean, the tables are wiped down after each use, and the floor is swept. Unfortunately, only one of the women's restroom stalls was clean, and the toilet flushes randomly, except when you hold your hand in front of the sensor. The table staff were very friendly. We were greeted, and the employee told us to let them know if we needed anything else. We were really pleasantly surprised!

You should eat on site. Don't bring anything with you, or at least check what you're bringing.

We arrived back from our trip at 12:30 a.m. last night and were starving. We were asked to use the drive-thru, which we didn't mind at all. We were served quickly, and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. We were completely satisfied. No complaints whatsoever. Top-notch! 👍👌

Waited 40 minutes for food, and was repeatedly rude when we asked how long it would take. Meanwhile, there were about 20 other people complaining about cold food or long wait times. We demanded a refund and left. Never again.

My experience at this branch was extremely disappointing. Although I was a paying customer and the restaurant was about 30% full, after approximately one hour I was told that I shouldn't use my laptop. As a regular customer who always orders a significant amount, I found this treatment completely incomprehensible and unpleasant. I find it unacceptable to restrict paying customers in such a way in a nearly empty restaurant. If laptop use is prohibited, this should be clearly indicated – which wasn't the case here. Based on this experience, I will not be visiting this branch again and unfortunately cannot recommend it to other customers who want to eat in peace or work briefly.

Dear Sir or Madam, I was unfortunately not treated well here. I ordered at the ordering terminals and it showed that there were no more cookies. While waiting for my food, I saw that the entire food box was full of cookies. I find this very cheeky and unacceptable.

Update: To be fair: Everything's great. Things are rarely forgotten anymore. Items usually arrive fresh. Please keep it up! Actually, there has been a noticeable improvement in efficiency since the staff change!

Surprisingly great visit! I have to say, I was really pleasantly surprised! The McDonald's was clean, modern, and very tidy. The staff was friendlier than I expected, and ordering was quick and easy. My food was fresh, hot, and well-prepared—significantly better than what I've had before. The relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant was also particularly enjoyable. All in all, a really great visit. I hadn't expected it to be so good—keep it up!

The staff was very friendly and apologized for the long wait. Improvement from my side: The lighting at the recycling station is poor, making it impossible to read the signs in the evening.

Intelligence is NOT a hiring criterion here! Definitely avoid the McDrive; something always goes wrong!! The worst part isn't even that things are always forgotten, but that the employees seem incapable of reading. I ordered a cheeseburger without onions and mustard, and it arrived with onions and mustard but without pickles. Then another car got our order—it's truly unbelievable. And with these prices, definitely eat somewhere else where you actually get what you order!

When ordering and picking up, you have to count and check everything. Today, a drink is missing, and to make matters worse, the 20-piece nuggets pack only contains half the items. They probably do this willingly because who's going to go back later? It's pretty outrageous, this rip-off.

Good new McDonald's employees completely wasted after 10 pm

Fries completely without salt. Burgers carelessly thrown together and smothered in sauce. Employees greet customers with a handshake and then brazenly go back to work without washing their hands, touching food again. Disgusting.

I visit this McDonald's regularly, but I've repeatedly had very bad experiences. The staff is unfriendly and sometimes disrespectful. On a previous visit, I ordered a McSmart meal but received a salad instead. Mistakes happen, but mix-ups like this shouldn't. Today, November 3, 2025, at 12:20 a.m., I tried to redeem a coupon at the drive-thru. The employee barely spoke German, was unintelligible, and rude. I had to repeat the code several times before she finally understood it—and she did so in a very unprofessional tone. The product quality is also disappointing: fries are often cold, burgers are carelessly prepared, and McFlurry cups are often not even half full. Furthermore, the entire area seems unhygienic.

We waited 30 minutes for six items. The food wasn't called, but was placed on the table with a note. The numbers on the board were immediately erased. Go to another one.

Bad communication very dirty everywhere and waited 25 min for two coffees

I ordered from McDonald's via Lieferando – and it was a disaster. The entire meal arrived ice cold. The fries were completely soft and soggy, the burger dry and cold, and the drink was anything but fresh. You can tell the food must have been sitting around somewhere for a long time before it was delivered. For that price, I expect at least warm, edible food – but this was an absolute disgrace. If I want cold fast food, I might as well open the fridge. Never again! 👎

Toilets were not clean early in the morning... Says a lot about the hygiene here

Terrible. Half of our order is missing, every time without fail. The drinks aren't the ones we ordered, and we paid for reusable cups, but we received paper ones. Truly awful... burgers that customers return are simply put back on sale. Disgusting!! Today was the very last time we went there. Never again!!!!!!!!!

Careful you could find yourself waiting for minutes to order in the drive-thru without anyone addressing for you to please wait. After placing your order it's an average of a ten minute wait or longer... Also they need to put arrows in the parking area to keep dumb dumbs from driving in the wrong way as you try to exit...

Visually modern, but I've never experienced a McDonald's this dirty—simply unkempt and unhygienic. We had to wait over 15 minutes for four simple cheeseburgers. The staff tried hard, but were clearly overwhelmed. The problem clearly lies with management—there's a complete lack of oversight and organization. Looking at the other reviews, the impression is confirmed: this branch has a serious management problem.

We visited the restaurant on a public holiday. It was very, very busy, but as other people have reported, the organization was a complete disaster. But this is not the only McDonald's that is so busy. It started with the communication with the staff; there was a big language barrier, which made ordering difficult right from the start. But the division of work areas with such a volume of customers also needs to be improved a lot. We waited 25 minutes for two coffees, which is unacceptable, especially when you have two children in the car. At the beginning we stood in the drive-up and nothing was happening there either, so we went into the restaurant. The McDonald's cafe was constantly empty. Unfortunately, it really is one of the worst McDonald's I have ever been to; a lot has to change.

That was the worst experience I've ever had at McDonald's. How can it be that you order at the terminal, choose table service, then get everything packed to go, and then all the customers are kicked out at midnight sharp (according to Google, they're open until 2 a.m.)? If I'd known, I would have ordered something that's easy to eat in the car without making a mess. And there were no salad forks or napkins included. I actually wanted to order a McFlurry for dessert, but after everything that had happened, I decided against it. Even if I had, it wouldn't have been possible anyway (according to the app, it was no longer available). The trash can in the parking lot was also overflowing. The only positive thing was the condition of the ordered food. There was nothing to complain about.

Waiting time has improved somewhat

I had to wait 30 minutes for my food even though they weren't very busy. Then my order wasn't complete. I stood at the checkout for 10 minutes and no one paid any attention. I can't recommend it.

At the first counter, we were waved through with a hand signal, but at the second, the same employee told us we shouldn't have proceeded because our order was supposedly no longer visible. Half of our order was missing. When we complained at the restaurant, we – like many other customers – had to wait about 30 minutes. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. While the ambiance is aesthetically pleasing, the organization and service unfortunately leave a lot to be desired!

Expensive and really doesn't taste good. Burger King is much better. The Classic Chicken Burger is now in the trash, and I was sick...

The new McDonald's are impersonal

Incredibly unfriendly service; you don't get a straw for your milkshake, even after asking for one, even though others had one. Additionally, you get rudely insulted when ordering and using the service, simply because the employees really have to do their jobs. Actually, a well-positioned shop for a quick bite to eat, but I won't be doing that again from now on!

The employee yelled at us and lied about the paper straws being out! You shouldn't treat your customers like that! I'm not coming here anymore!

Although the fast-food restaurant is usually very reliable and has long opening hours, making it a good spot to chill and snack late at night, I regret to report that the service is horrible and the food mediocre. The paper scooter was stolen once, and today the manager lied to us about running out of straws. The staff is generally unfriendly. Overall, a good location and nice ambiance, but the worst Megges in the area. 2/5 stars

They really don't deserve a star. My girlfriend and I ordered at the drive-thru, and her burger was simply thrown into the bag, open, and everything was covered in sauce. My wrap wasn't made properly. When I opened it, everything fell apart. We went back for a new one. We waited what felt like 20 minutes until we got a new one. Plus, everything we ordered got cold, and the wrap was cold. They just stuffed the inside of the other one into a new wrap. That's not okay. I wouldn't recommend anyone go there! The woman was also so unfriendly. She didn't even apologize and was very rude. She was even annoyed that we came back. I wanted to throw the bag at her, she was so unfriendly!

Disaster!!!!!!!! If you want to wait an hour every time, whether inside or at the drive-thru, you'll come here. Nothing works here. In other words, the worst McDonald's in Germany.

A 45-minute wait for a simple order! Table service wasn't provided, even though you could select it at the terminal. The atmosphere among the staff was very bad, which was partly passed on to the customers. An hour before the stated closing time, they were no longer accepting new orders, and the door could no longer be opened from the outside. The food and cleanliness were fine, but the service was a disaster!

Dear McDonald's Team, I'm writing to you today because my visit to your Weiterstadt branch yesterday was simply a disgrace – both in terms of service, hygiene, and the human interaction with guests. I never would have expected to encounter such a level of incompetence, ignorance, and indifference in a global company. I visited your branch with a colleague on July 21, 2025. When our food was brought, the employee in charge spilled both drinks – not "a little," but completely – all over my colleague. His high-quality jacket was subsequently soaked, sticky, and possibly ruined. Instead of an appropriate response – such as an immediate apology, help, or replacement – the employee left without comment. What followed is hard to believe: He came back – with TWO napkins. Two. For a complete puddle of Coke on the floor, soaked clothes, and a slippery environment. Of course, those two napkins weren't enough, and when he disappeared without a word and never returned, we had to take care of the cleaning ourselves, get napkins ourselves, and put up a slippery slope warning sign ourselves, because no one on your team felt responsible for it. Aside from the obvious failure of service, the food was, of course, completely cold and inedible after the whole incident—we simply couldn't eat it. When I politely tried to speak to the manager to request appropriate compensation or at least a refund, all I received was a shrug and the phrase, "What can I tell you? Sorry, there's nothing more I can do." To top it all off, the employee's behavior was then justified by his alleged lack of language skills—as if that were an excuse for his complete failure in customer service. No. This isn't a language barrier—it's simply incompetence and disinterest.

Hoping for a quick fix, I steered my humble rodent vehicle to a McDonald's that proudly boasted two drive-thru lanes—a promise of urban efficiency, one might think. But alas! What I encountered was the epitome of logistical overconfidence. The double lane turned out to be a two-pronged blunder into a culinary snail's shell. The vehicles stood there like stuffed marmots—motionless, incredulous, exhausted. Time passed as if a beaver were gnawing through concrete. Minutes turned into eons. I was young when I arrived—I aged in the queue. The organization? A Kafkaesque construct without equal. Where efficiency was expected, chaos reigned. Orderers in lane one were given preferential treatment, as if they had joined the aristocratic lineage of hungry motorists. Conclusion: If you're hungry and have a zest for life, avoid this place. A drive-thru with two lanes, but only one functioning cog in the system. Under other circumstances, the sheer waiting time would be considered a reprieve – here, it only leaves a bitter aftertaste of wasted time.

We were there again after 4 months, but it still doesn't work. They can't handle the high number of orders. Today I had to wait 30 minutes again. Many people complained because they didn't get their food. The entire process at this store isn't right; the manager is overwhelmed. I definitely don't recommend this McDonald's.

The standard menu was well prepared, but it took a relatively long time. The location is completely overrun and either not big enough to handle the demand, or there aren't enough employees working there. It's also extremely noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation.

Unfortunately, we realized too late that we weren't given a reusable cup, for which we paid an extra €2. I've been trying to get the €2 refunded for almost three weeks. I've only received one response from headquarters, which they forwarded to the McDonald's operator downtown, but no one has responded. This is a disgrace!!!!

The McDonald's is in the middle of an industrial park. Why is the food still being served on the patio at 9:45 p.m., and then you're kicked off at 10 p.m.? Absolutely incomprehensible given the long opening hours. You just wanted to sit comfortably outside in the warmth and get kicked out. This should be possible longer, especially in the summer.

Food takes forever in the evening. Wait times of 20-30 minutes have often occurred. The staff also deletes orders from the screen so they're considered completed sooner. The staff don't seem slow or lazy, but the kitchen seems too small for so many customers.

I think McDonald's hasn't done itself any favors by offering everything possible at this location. Drive-thru and in-store pickup would have been sufficient. Here, you can also have your food brought to your table or to a parking lot by ordering through the app. This leaves them completely overwhelmed, and things aren't working at all. On top of that, they put the food on pickup early, even though it'll take forever, and then immediately delete it from the system (perhaps to keep track of how quickly the food goes out?). It's completely unacceptable. And I don't understand why, after so many bad reviews, even before mine, they haven't done anything about it... The food is OK, although I expect more salad on a chicken burger or in a wrap; you almost have to hunt for it here.

Extremely poor organization at the McDonough Drive-In. When you had to wait over 35 minutes for three ice creams, and there wasn't a single announcement that an employee would be there, that says it all. A lack of staff alienates customers. The new, nice decor doesn't help either. Never again. Even one star is too many.

McDrive is completely overwhelmed, disorganized, and, above all, incredibly unfriendly. Customers are apparently not welcome here, so it's probably best to avoid it. It's a shame, because the location and modern facilities offer much more.

I've been to a few McDs, and this one is way down on the list. I was there on Saturday night, May 24th. Two drive-thru counters were served by a woman who mumbled and was impossible to understand. But she spoke to both vehicles at the same time. Because she said you should drive up, we did so, hoping to be able to place our order in person at the counter. Instead, we were harassed for a long time. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes for a small €33 order. Bad service; in my opinion, the burgers were carelessly thrown together, and the wait was far too long.

I was in the toilet there and it looked like a mess. Everything was a mess. I didn't even look at the cleaning schedule. Then I wanted to order and stood at the till for a solid 8 minutes and nobody came. Everyone was semi-busy in the kitchen. Everyone saw me but nothing. Then someone came (I think it was the shift manager). Not even a hello. And then she was totally overwhelmed with my online order. Well... then she called a number 166 (not mine), I didn't respond because I was just starting to write the review here. Then she gave me my number in a really unfriendly tone. It wasn't her best day, I think.

Normally, this shouldn't get a single star. McDonald's advertises 90-120 seconds for order preparation, but that quickly turns into over 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, it was very miserable. I ordered two MacWrap Mama Scrambled Eggs with Cheese and received Bacon Cheese. I absolutely hate bacon, but I didn't see it until I got home. Why would anyone even place an order? Maybe the employees should learn to read.

They can't handle the number of orders and eventually just delete them from the screen. After 20 minutes, I saw that everyone was complaining and people were getting their food right away. So I did, too, and that's how I got my food. If I go there again, I'll definitely avoid the place.

We were here and a kid threw ice cream against the window. Unfortunately, the terrace was no longer open at 9:45 p.m. Otherwise, the food was okay, but it was okay. The McSmart menu is no longer smart...

Food and other items are as usual at McDonald's. Tables are wiped down promptly after each visit. Sitting outside is very pleasant, as they have lounge furniture. Very comfortable. Not many McDonald's restaurants have that.

We waited over 40 minutes for our order. When we asked if our order had been forgotten, we received a very unfriendly answer. “When it’s ready, it will come.” I was then ignored. You should actually give 0 stars for this, but unfortunately that's not possible.

If I could have given zero stars, I would have done so. After a concert in Frankfurt we wanted to quickly grab something to eat for the drive home. This quickly turned into a 45 minute wait in front of the ordering column. It took almost an hour until we had our food and that was in the drive-thru. We simply waited in front of the ordering column for 45 minutes, other cars in front of us and behind us as well. The service was subpar, not only did you understand the good lady in no time, they were all simply rude. They tried to explain to us that they could only handle 2 cars at a time, hence the incredibly long wait. My 2 a.m. arrival time at home turned into 3 a.m. and it was all JUST because of terrible service at a McDonald's drive-thru NEVER AGAIN and I advise everyone else to go to another one. There are enough in the area!!!! I would have noticed that too
