I would avoid this McDonald's branch in the future. What I understand by "fast food" is that you can eat quickly and then leave again. I waited a full 30 minutes for my food. Had I known that, I would have preferred to go to a real restaurant. I took a quick look in the kitchen; the staff seemed overwhelmed. The manager should reconsider their work schedule here; as I gather from previous comments, this wasn't an isolated incident. A dish was also forgotten in my order. The young man told me I had to get it myself. I think if you're going to offer table service, you should maintain it. The employee can't help it; it's the fault of the manager and their processes. This McDonald's is proof to me that even a "perfect system" like McDonald's can only be perfect if the franchisees and restaurant management have some knowledge of what's going on. I hope these reviews are read and taken seriously, but I suspect that's not the case. Otherwise, my experience wouldn't be the same as that of many other customers. I could write a lot more, but I think this is enough for now. Hygiene is also a key word.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Even with a simple order (coffee and a McFlurry), the staff seemed overwhelmed and uncoordinated. The cashier was inexperienced and left alone, the order was left unattended – in the end, the coffee was cold and the McFlurry melted. Furthermore, the creamer was forgotten. Overall, it was chaotic and not up to standard.

This McDonald's is an absolute disaster! The food regularly arrives incorrectly, often ice-cold, and completely inedible – a disgrace for the price. The service is abysmal, rude, and in some cases downright insulting. The location is disgusting: All the tables are sticky, trash is lying around, and if you ask for your table to be cleaned, you're either not understood or someone appears with a dirty rag. I often had to wipe the table myself with toilet paper – completely unacceptable. Hardly any employee speaks German, let alone knows how to answer simple questions. This shows a shocking incompetence and lack of professionalism. Dear Business Owner: I understand that you want to make money, but this "business" is a prime example of how not to run it. This location has been around for years, and instead of improving, things are continually getting worse. Finally replace the staff, improve hygiene, and ensure that customers are no longer regularly insulted and poorly served—anything else is a scandal!

Unfortunately, my experience with pickup was not good again. I ordered a veggie burger, among other things, and the veggie packaging actually contained a beef burger. The veggie nuggets were also meat nuggets. At least they were in the correct packaging, so I could see this at home. Unfortunately, I couldn't notice it with the burger beforehand, as it was in veggie packaging. Such a mistake shouldn't happen. I'm very disappointed 😞, I was looking forward to McDonald's for dinner and unfortunately could only eat the fries. And this mix-up isn't the first time. What a shame.

Since I sometimes eat there with my son, it's actually pretty good. When you eat there, they rarely forget anything. But now this is the fourth time in a short period of time that they've forgotten something in the drive-thru. Two were my son's chicken nuggets and one was a burger. I paid for it. The last time was today, when they forgot a wrap again, and they didn't even pack napkins. It's fast food, but the service is terrible. Sorry, McDonald's isn't like that.

I ordered a matcha latte, and it was simply awful. I've tried matcha in many places and know exactly how it should taste: slightly tart, herbal, earthy, and with a natural sweetness. What I was served here had nothing to do with that—it tasted of fish oil and smelled just as unpleasant. Undrinkable. Either poor quality or poor storage. I ordered a Chai Latte Regular reusable oat drink, but I received something completely different: The cup was only one-third, or at most half, full, and the contents were lukewarm. After I complained, they remade my drink, but without the foam. Instead, I received a small cup, barely larger than an espresso, just coffee without foam. When I finally asked for my money back, I was not only turned away, but also rudely and disrespectfully insulted. I've never experienced such poor customer service at McDonald's. Absolutely disappointing – neither the product quality nor the way customers were treated was acceptable. A no-go for me, and I certainly won't be ordering a coffee here again anytime soon. There's always something missing from the bag, and the food is cold! Ice cream is served 10 minutes before the hot food. This is especially true if you order from a McDonald's Drive-Thru and only realize you're missing items at home. A 1.5-hour wait at a McDonald's Drive-Thru is not uncommon. Employees are extremely rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. They can rarely speak or understand the local language. Complaints are ignored and you get rude replies. Even when it's quiet, you always have to drive an extra 5 meters past the waiting window to avoid the display of the wait time at McDonald's.

When we got home and noticed that a lot of things were missing, we drove back and they made us everything again but didn't even apologize and it was the manager himself. We didn't expect him to pass up two MC Chicken burgers again. It's happened to us so many times and we never drove back because it's too far from our house, but this time it was really too much and on top of that he pulled a funny face as if it were our fault and then another mistake, so now my wife hasn't been able to eat anything today because she can only eat this MC Chicken. Today I went to McDonald's with my family. I ordered more than fifty euros, including meals. The fries that came with the meals were completely cold and so small that I asked an employee to please refill them. He responded, extremely rudely, that I should speak to the manager. At my insistence, he took the fries from me, placed them on a tray, and gave me exactly the same ones back. I went to the manager. His response was that this was our standard procedure—charging full price but only giving half the portion. When I said this wasn't standard procedure, he took the fries, threw them away, and gave me others that were just like he was giving me a handout. I've never seen such rude employees. I will never go to this McDonald's again and advise everyone else not to. In my opinion, it's no exaggeration to say this is the worst and dirtiest McDonald's in all of Germany.

Better spend that money on training your employees instead of paying lawyers. The drive-thru is unnecessary, as 90% of the time you have to get out and get the missing items at the counter. You simply can't rely on McDonald's employees, and it doesn't change, despite repeated complaints. I wonder if the store manager even cares about how inaccurate his staff is. You're being cheated out of your money and your trust. There's almost always something missing; I haven't seen any sauces in months, even though they're ordered separately every time. It's as if the employees don't want to do the final touches; they're just sauces, after all! When you order two Happy Meals, they basically contain the same toy. It's obviously way too exhausting to reach into two different compartments. Our kids always have the same thing, there's no surprise element, and it's absolutely boring for children. You have to ask and double-check everything; you're basically doing the work for the McDonald's staff. Is that the purpose of this company? You come with some hope – maybe things will go better this time. Spoiler alert: Of course not. Half of the self-service terminals were broken or completely unusable. The displays – so damaged that you could more easily recognize an abstract work of art than a menu. And the touchscreens? They reacted like a stone to being caressed – if at all. Code entry? No chance. QR code? Just as useless. The machine didn't even spit out an order confirmation. This isn't a minor system glitch anymore – this is digital customer wear and tear. After several frustrating attempts, I turned to the staff. The response: a shrug and the terse "Yes, I know." Seriously? No apology, no attempt at a solution, zero sense of service. Honestly, that's not only unfriendly, but disrespectful. And when hardly anyone speaks enough German to answer simple questions or provide assistance, the whole thing almost seems like a parody of customer service. You don't feel like a guest—more like a nuisance. And the food? The sad culmination of this tragedy: cold Big Macs, soggy fries, nuggets that look like they came from yesterday's microwave. No taste, no quality, no love for the product. And this from a brand that boasts billions in sales and global player status? Ray Kroc had a vision: the same taste, the same quality all over the world—whether in Tokyo, New York, or Waldshut-Tiengen (One Taste Worldwide). But what I was served was more like "One Frustration Worldwide"—at least on the Rhine. McDonald's—do you really want people to have to apologize for visiting you?

What I got was, unfortunately, a bitter disappointment. The portion was much too small. And the dip was missing. The few fries I got were tasty, but that doesn't make up for the ridiculous amount. I've been to McDonald's on every continent, but here in Waldshut, you can experience probably the worst Mac in the world. We're talking about such a level that it's obvious that the employees are deliberately trying to harm the manager. No one is that careless or... See picture. That's a Chicken Big Mac. No sauce, the salad next to the burger (no, it didn't have any IN IT), the top tier completely empty. And cold. Not McDonald's cold, REALLY cold. Just as cold as the Big Mac I also ordered. The 5-ounce Coke I paid for came in a 4-ounce cup... The pictured burger went straight back. After a short wait, a new one arrived, just as cold. After I complained at the counter, they reached back into the obviously turned off warming compartment and made two new... cold burgers. I came because of a 2-for-1 offer in the app. So I only paid for one burger, but five (!) burgers ended up in the trash after a total of four bites. I bought a sandwich from the bakery on the way home – I recommend it to everyone. The floors and tables are sticky and dirty, the ordering machines are incredibly slow, and the staff are disinterested. I live very close by, but you'll never see me again.

The touchscreen wasn't working (this can happen), so we had to go to the checkout, where the person was smiling and friendly. The problem is that what you receive doesn't match the photo on the screens; the images are misleading. McDonald's shows you steaks that are about 1.5 cm thick, and the ones you receive are about 5 mm thick. They're making fun of their customers.

The difference in the collectible figure you receive a code to redeem which unlocks the same figure in the game. When I asked, I shrugged my shoulders and then contacted the restaurant and fobbed them off with lies. I have great hope that the McDonalds in Laufenburg will do better in the future...

After a great evening at the King Pin bowling center, I just wanted to grab something to eat at the McDonald's next door. What a mistake! As soon as I entered I was greeted by a smell that spoiled my meal. When “fast food” smells like that, you can only imagine what’s really going on in the kitchen! The machines I ordered were broken and I felt like I had been caught in a bad joke. The food also left a lot to be desired. The fries were the worst I've ever had - soggy and tasteless. The burger was still half frozen; I thought I ordered ice cream, not a burger! What was particularly worrying was that the boss smoked and chilled outside with his colleague before they just kept running back into the kitchen. It makes you wonder what the hygiene is like when the gentlemen are fiddling with their smelly hands between the burgers after several cigarettes. And as if that wasn't enough, my kids came with a Happy Meal that included a "surprise" - although not one we wanted. When I tried to exchange the broken toy, a bald man came who introduced himself as "Ronald McDonald" but was supposedly the boss. He didn't exactly have the friendliest demeanor and quickly rejected me. Overall, the visit to the McDonald's next to the King Pin was anything but satisfactory. One wonders if there is an “enter at your own risk” sign posted somewhere. If you can, find another option to eat - even the frozen pizza from the supermarket is a real treat! 🍟😅🍔

Very disappointing experience – rude staff and poor service I was in this restaurant yesterday around 11:38 a.m. with a friend and our children. We ordered tea, coffee and a children's menu for my daughter. Our plan was to enjoy our drinks first and then order lunch. While my daughter was playing with the tablet at the table, she started eating. About 10 minutes later she tried the fries and told me they didn't taste good. When I checked I noticed that they were undercooked, soggy and obviously not fresh - probably leftovers from earlier in the day. Since we were the first guests and the place was still empty, I politely went to the checkout to ask. The employee didn't speak English, so I tried German. A woman - not German, probably of Eastern European origin - told me that the fries were no longer fresh because my daughter had "eaten late". This explanation is incomprehensible to me. I've ordered here several times, including take-away, and even after 30 minutes the food was still ok. Instead of responding professionally, she spoke in her native language to a younger woman who works in coffee and beverages and a man - all three of whom were clearly talking about me in a very disrespectful tone, right in front of my face. This behavior is absolutely rude and unacceptable. I was so upset that I left the fries and stopped ordering lunch, even though we originally planned to. This experience was not only disappointing but also disrespectful. People who treat customers like this shouldn't work in customer service. Politeness is the least that can be expected. Today this branch has outdone itself again. The burger was ice cold like it came from the fridge, and the fries and tomatoes that I ordered were also included. You can rely on the McDonald’s Waldshut-Tiengen. I can't write anything about the restaurant because I always use the McDrive. This one is always tip top. I use the app to place my orders (often with personalized burgers) and it works almost perfectly for me. My orders are 95% correct, it's very rare that a little thing is missing or packed incorrectly. A short response directly at the pick-up window and the error will be corrected immediately. The staff is mostly friendly and competent, although I am also a rather uncomplicated customer. When the volume is very high, you sometimes notice this in the staff, but I find that to be human. The quality of the food is good considering the circumstances (fast food). Cold burgers are rare, sometimes the fries are already a bit soft. Especially when there isn't much going on. I think the quality of the chicken patties (Chickenburger, McChicken) has generally decreased. There wasn't as much cartilage etc. as there is now. But it has nothing to do with this branch but will be a general topic. Finally, a huge plus: open 24 hours a day!

Until our missing products (half empty instead of full) were delivered. The worst part of the story is that we have all been suffering from severe nausea and diarrhea since our visit yesterday. It's unbelievable how bad this MC gets in Tiengen. We will draw our conclusions from this and perhaps even make a report. And the star we had to give is definitely too much!!!!!!

Update on 15.3.2025: Today my son wanted to have some nuggets and we were nearby this restaurant. So we stopped and ordered some food. Meanwhile I used the washroom and came back to our table. And I waited another 10 minutes until I noticed that our food and the food of many other customers were on the counter waiting to be served to the tables. Of course the food was completely cold. I complained but the lady did not really care. She just replaced my fries even though I told her that everything was already cold. I do not think this was the staff's mistake, I recognise an ignorance by management. If the managers do not care for the restaurant's reputation why should the employees care? Honestly I won't bring my family to this place in future. Maybe this will not matter to this outlet but it will matter to my family by not paying money for cold burgers. Today I visited this outlet for the first time. Usually this chain gets good reviews from me as you cannot make much wrong. But this outlet was different to be honest. We wanted to have a quick breakfast in the outside area. As you can see from the picture it was not necessarily the way a guest would expect a restaurant. And this was just one of many tables. The worst thing is that this outlet is open 24/7 which means someone should be assigned to clean permanently. But even the shelves for the trays were full at 9h50am. Guys seriously it is not rocket science to keep your restaurant in order and tidy. Your cleanliness is your business card for the customers. I hope someone reads this feedback and takes action.

The only positive thing was that the waiting time was okay. It was only half full at 8 p.m. The terminal didn't work at times, the fries were lukewarm, the salad fell out of the chicken burger when it was unpacked and the sauce was generously spread on the paper. Overall, the restrooms were clean, too. The staff were very friendly, but unfortunately, you can only order and pay via the cumbersome terminals. Otherwise, it's not good value for money, especially if you order a side of mayo, for example, and they'll shove you in the mouth. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to put themselves through that.
