Maybach in Hamburg

The food has always been okay. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. What was particularly negative this time was that our request to postpone the reservation by 30 minutes was met with incomprehension and excessive annoyance. The reserved table was subsequently given to someone else. The communication on the phone and on site was disrespectful and unprofessional. If we hadn't been dependent on a location, we would have left the restaurant immediately. We have been guests several times with larger groups, but after this experience it was definitely our last visit.

Incredibly unfriendly!!! I'll never go there again. It's crazy how people are treated there. If you want to eat and drink deliciously and comfortably, it's best to look for a new restaurant.

Solid 4 good German style menu. Great beer. Sat outside in the sun with family. Everyone else was indoors. It was great. Been before and always had a good beer and nice food.

Have been to the Maybach several times. A simple restaurant. Currywurst fries are okay and well priced. The Maybach beer is also tasty. What doesn't work at all is the boss behind the counter. Suddenly he shouted at his employee that he had to do what he told him. A tirade of abuse followed. There was suddenly dead silence in the whole store. Very, very unpleasant! The waiter responded very skillfully and also apologized to us. Nonetheless, we just wanted to pay and get out of there.

Reservation for a table with 10 women after a mulled wine tour worked great. We were served very friendly and humorous by Tim. We are happy to recommend this Eimsbüttel veteran.

We were there with a group of 10 people. The food was 80% convenience. Service was quite ok. At 11 p.m. we were relocated and the back area where we were sitting was darkened. Shortly afterwards we were announced the last round. Afterwards, the service was very rigorous (even with other guests) and quickly took all the empty glasses off the table. Very uncomfortable. At some point loud music, which was probably intended to stop conversation, signaled that we had to leave now. We did that too after the payment process. The waitress pointed out to me that she couldn't include a tip when paying electronically. She then demonstratively stood next to me and waited for the tip. It turned out to be a little less, which made her quite angry. I wasn't the only one who found this a bit strange. Overall, an experience that we will not repeat.

Arrived spontaneously in Hamburg in the evening and found a place to eat here. The food was very tasty and sufficient. Will definitely be remembered for the next visit to Hamburg.

We've been there many times to watch football. Yesterday suddenly all the tables were "reserved" and we were relegated to a bar table with bar stools because we only drink two apple spritzers each... definitely my last visit.

Very disrespectful staff and incredibly expensive. I left at halftime because I didn't want to give myself that. I can't recommend it!

I had last been there 2-3 years ago and thought I could go again. I ordered the Eimsbüttel baked potato because I was really hungry. The portion was really small, the quality of the food was rather mediocre. The waiter was also more likely to be busy with a regular customer. Plus an Alster, that makes 20.30 euros.

The flamekuch was great! I recommend. I regret ordering pizza as well, as it wasn't tasting great and neither the ingredients. I believe the other local mains dishes should be better but didn't try so can't tell. Though, not the pizza.

We waited 2 hours for 2 beers per person. Although they were understaffed, the performance and communication with the service was subpar. We cannot recommend the store.

When we asked, they didn't want to serve us a glass of tap water with our drinks, as they simply didn't do that. 'I don't know why,' they said. Later, one “secret” came to the table, as if it were something forbidden. Nice beer garden.

Very nice atmosphere, nice beer garden, big TV for those who like it. Service was partly very friendly, partly a bit unkempt (it's not possible to blow your nose with your hands). The main point of criticism is the food: Very high prices and unacceptable quality: simple dishes, as inexpensive as possible and prepared sparingly - to even charge half the price for that would be borderline. We won't be coming back.

When it comes to eating, you could certainly go a step further. Service very friendly and fast. Toilets super clean. You don't find that everywhere.

Unfortunately, the vegetarian burger is really bottomless. Nowadays there are so many wonderful ways to offer a delicious vegan patty - whether homemade or bought cheaply. Unfortunately, this patty really doesn't taste good at all. It's a shame there isn't a single vegan option on the menu. As a vegan who has “brought along” (a birthday invitation), there is no way to eat here. It would be so easy to offer any dish vegan. The ambience outside is really great and the atmosphere is great, even during football.

I have never experienced such racism here in Hamburg, "my shop, my chair, you put it here now," the old man behind the bar shouted. A real shame

We spent the DFB Cup final in a very nice beer garden with great food and delicious beer. Super friendly staff, everything was great. Thank you very much for that and greetings from the Palatinate

Worst service in Hamburg! When we wanted to sit down at a table, the waiter said it was reserved for football fans to watch. But there was no reservation sign on the table. OK, then we chose another table. The menu came quite quickly. We then waited for 9 minutes, even though the restaurant was barely full by then. I then went into the restaurant and saw the waiter chatting with a customer and said to me that he was just on his way. Back at the table, waited another 2 minutes. When I wanted to place my order the waiter said, "Food is only available from 2 p.m.". I felt pretty silly and left with my wife.

We sat in the beer garden, which is actually quite nice in terms of location. Our waitress was slow but friendly. Your colleague, who we asked in the meantime, refused to serve us. His colleague would be responsible. He preferred flirting with guests. Not good service. The tarte flambée was only edible, but not worth the money.

The 15 euro burger wasn't worth 3 euros. The service was super nice until the big boss came and asked us to leave the store at half past 1 with such a disgusting announcement, even though we had gotten the last round 3 minutes before. Thanks to gentrification: nobody needs the store

Food was quite terrible. Service was fine. Aggressive management, not somewhere I’ll return and would advise others to stay clear of this place.

We reserved a table and were told there was no one reserved. After we sat down spread out, the manager chased us away in the most unfriendly manner. Never again! I would give 0 stars if I could.

We actually had reservations for 11 people. Unfortunately our table was still given away. After we had forced ourselves to spread out and put a few chairs together, the boss loudly scolded us in the most impolite way and snatched the chairs out of our hands. Rarely have I been received so rudely. We won't be coming back. Thanks to the rest of the service team who recommended some alternatives to us.

After the table reservation was "lost" and no effort was made to find a solution, we left the restaurant after the boss's impossible behavior and rude statements. Never again! Apparently the restaurant doesn't want to make any sales and customer friendliness is a foreign word here. I would prefer not to give any stars!

We have reserved a table. Unfortunately this was not free. An employee asked us to find an alternative area to sit. So that we can sit together as a group of eleven people (as reserved), we pushed a few chairs together. The manager came to us and got really angry and personal that we had moved the furniture half a meter. Without empathy and not a single friendly word, he clearly gave us the feeling that he didn't want to entertain us. Super disappointing. This is not how you should run a restaurant. It's better to use the many nice alternatives in the area.

Delicious homemade Frikos, fresh fries, Maybach pan is recommended

I often come to Hamburg and always had dinner at the Maybach. I had noticed a deterioration on the previous two visits, especially when it came to the quality of the food, but what I experienced now defies description. Whatever happened to the schnitzel my companion ordered before or during its preparation... it was horrible! A complaint was also made, but it was merely acknowledged. Sorry, doesn't work at all!

Nice pub with super friendly service. Food is ok for the claim. The chili is great. There is a very tasty naturally cloudy 'Maybach' beer.

Quaint football pub. Friendly, comfortable, nice service. The beer was delicious, especially because it was served in mugs. Come back. To recommend.

I like the rooms and the garden in summer, the food is often mediocre, the service and friendliness vary greatly (depending on the person serving). The beer tastes good!!!

Never again! Decades ago I was a regular guest (in Eppendorf) and I haven't been to the Maybach in ages. We wanted to have a cafe there in the early afternoon and if necessary. eat a little something. As soon as you walked in, there was no greeting, even though the shop was empty except for two tables and a few people at the counter. We sat down at a larger table by the window, as I said, there was still space everywhere - the waiter (presumably the owner) arrived already grumpy with the cards. My companion ordered a latte and I ordered a soup with the advice that I would like to have a cappucino afterwards. The soup came in a small cup (for 5.70) - when I asked for a roll or toast or something similar, I was met with an unfriendly reply of 'I don't have it'. Soup didn't taste good at all - we asked if it tasted good anyway - and it was really expensive. Afterwards I went to a cafe and when I asked about card payment when I was paying, all I got was an unfriendly “if it works together” - I said it, I wanted to pay for everything together. To the total of 13.60 I said 15 - but he obviously didn't want that, because the tip was ignored, but I was told in an extremely unfriendly tone that next time we shouldn't sit at the largest table for two .. as already described, the shop was virtually empty at the time, otherwise we certainly wouldn't have sat down there on our own. Info to the super unfriendly owner - you can also just ask politely if we could sit at another table... I really travel a lot in the catering industry and I don't have to behave in such a snotty manner. It's a shame, Maybach never ever

Spontaneous dinner at the Maybach, quick service with menu and drinks. Very pleasant waiter - talkative and funny. Food was prepared quite quickly. Burger with fries and a baked potato “Eimsbüttel.

Spannend was da als Kaiserschmarn serviert wird. Die Reaktion auf meine Reklamation beim Chef war unterirdisch. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend.

Toller Service und sehr leckeres Essen zu absolut fairen Preisen. Die rustikale Einrichtung ist teilweise in die Jahre gekommen. Schöner Aussenbereich. Keine eigenen Parkplätze. Für einen geselligen Abend kann ich das Maybach empfehlen.

Eine klassische Mischung aus Restaurant und Kneipe. Das Essen ist ganz OK, auch wenn es leider keinen Mittagstisch mehr gibt. Aber die Atmosphäre ist richtig gemütlich, der Garten einladend und sehr gepflegt und die Mitarbeitenden freundlich und aufmerksam. Es macht Spaß hierher zu kommen

Der schön aussehende Biergarten lud uns nach längerer Betrachtung dann doch dank der Pfifferlingskarte zum Verweilen an, aber leider wurden wir in jeder Hinsicht enttäuscht. Essen: Die Pasta mit Pfifferlingen ist leider in der Pestosauce gänzlich ertrunken und gerade von den Pfifferlingen hat man so kaum noch etwas geschmeckt sehr schade. Auch der Flammkuchen war nicht der Burner, das können andere besser. Getränke: Hier wusste die Karte zu überzeugen, falls ihr nur auf ein Bierchen vorbeikommen wollt, könnt ihr hier glücklich werden. Service: Über Wartezeiten konnte man sich nicht beschweren, aber leider fiel der Bedienung ein Stück Flammkuchen herunter und der andere Kellner versuchte das verbal unangenehm zu lösen. Es wurden Schnäpse angeboten, die dann nach dem Essen aber auch nicht mehr zur Sprache kamen (nicht schlimm). Viel entsetzlichen war jedoch, dass ich beim Bezahlen (Kartenzahlung nur drinnen bei der Küche) mit anhören musste wie ein Koch gänzlich zur Sau gemacht wurde. Personal so anzuschreiben, insbesondere vor Gästen geht einfach nicht. Atmosphäre: Im Biergarten sitzt man eigentlich sehr schön. Dafür, dass unser Tisch Nachbar sich entschieden hatte eine Packung Zigaretten in Rekordzeit zu inhalieren kann das Restaurant ja nichts. Insgesamt waren wir enttäuscht und kommen nicht wieder. Fürs gleiche Geld kriegt man hier an anderen Stellen besseres Essen und besseren Service.

Mitten in Eimsbüttel, sehr gut mit der U-Bahnlinie U2 bis zur Haltestelle Osterstraße zu erreichen. Gemütliches Biergartenambiente bei hervorragendem Service. Die Speisen waren gut, die Portionen übersichtlich. Die Waschräume sind nicht barrierefrei erreichbar.

Gut um ein Bier in nettem Ambiente zu trinken. Essen ist nicht so zu empfehlen, aufgewärmtes Tiefkühlzeug. Rippchen haben irgendwie muffig geschmeckt und waren labberig durchgeweicht - hundertprozentig einfach nur aufgewärmt. Die Sauce war von vornherein drübergekippt anstatt in einem Schälchen nebendran - ärgerlich, da ich die Sauce nicht gern mochte. Ich ärger mich, dass ich die Bewertungen hier vorher nicht gelesen hab, dann hätte ich mir das Essen sparen können.

War alles bestens. Essen kam schnell, gute Auswahl, nette Location.

Bin begeistert. Habe neulich dieses Lokal wieder entdeckt und bin so begeistert. Service ist fantastisch und das Essen sehr gut. Aber vor allem der Wein ist Spitze. Ich nehme an jemand dort ist Weinkenner.

Wie schon vor 30 Jahren. Urig und ein schöner Ort um entspannt etwas zu essen oder zu trinken. Komme gerne wieder.

Sehr netter Service. Uns wurde trotz überfülltem Lokal schnell ein Tisch organisiert. Der Außenbereich mit Biergartenatmosphäre ist schön eingegrünt. Die Speisen vor drei Jahren hatte ich in besserer Erinnerung. Als gemütlicher Biergarten zum Durstlöschen sehr zu empfehlen.

Traumhafte Location zum Draussensitzen. Salat war super, Getränke auch 1a. Mega schnelles und freundliches Personal obwohl die Tische zwischendurch 100% belegt waren. Glaube die negativeren Bewertungen sind eher der letzten Saison zuzuordnen. Ich war überrascht dass da eine 3-Komma stand in den Bewertungen und hätte locker mit 4,5 gerechnet. Empfehlung!

Sehr schöner Aussenbereich, aber das Essen leider nix. Pizza mit sehr dickem Boden und ohne Geschmack, Pasta ebenso. Schade, denn die Location ist super.

Ich war am 1. Mai mit zwei Freunden da. wir hatten zwei XXL Burger, die Patties waren furztrocken und versalzen und definitiv schon älter. Für 14 Euro pro Burger ärgere ich mich, das wir nicht ins Old Mc Donald gegangen zu sind.. da ich auch nicht soviel Geld Besitze und mir was gönnen wollte umso enttäuschender. Mein Kumpel hatte lieblos angerichtetet Spargel für 16,90... Als wir dem Kellner mitteilten kam nur ein sorry..nicht mal eine kleine Geste des Hauses. Hier geh ich als Eimsbüttler nie wieder hin.. die Köche sind definitiv keine Köche!!

Hallo zusammen, Das Ambiente im inneren ist schön sowie die Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen. Die Bedienung Tim sorgt dafür, dass man sich wirklich willkommen fühlt und einem an nichts fehlt und man eine nette Zeit hat. Leider sind nicht alle so herzlich wie Tim, was sehr schade ist.

Komme immer gerne her und schaue Fussball. Service ist top und wenn man öfter da ist wird man sehr herzlich empfangen.

Viel mehr als eine Scene Kneipe. Viel Platz mit Tisch- und/oder Hocker Sitzplätzen. Dazu ein großer sehr gepflegter Biergarten.

Ins Maybach gehe ich viel und gerne. Die Atmosphäre dort ist super. Sehr netter Service, gutes Essen und lockere Stimmung. Ob zum Fußball gucken oder zum Essen - ich bin jedes Mal begeistert. Sehr lecker find ich das Chili con Carne, aber auch die Flammenkuchen sind super. Und der selbstgemachte Mexikaner ist definitiv ein Highlight.
