Maximilians Brauwiesen in Lahnstein

Wir waren gestern Abend (Samstag 28.9.) im Maximilians. Glücklicherweise hatten wir reserviert - mussten aber trotzdem fast 10 Minuten bevor wir zum Tisch geführt wurden. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aber durch die große Anzahl an Gästen hoffnungslos überfordert. Auf unsere Getränke mussten wir über 20 Minuten warten und auf unser Essen fast 2 Stunden. Dem Paar am Nachbartisch ging es genauso. Auf unsere Beschwerden konnte die Servicekraft sich nur entschuldigen - kein Entgegenkommen in Form eines Getränks / Preisnachlass oder ähnliches. Wenn Ihr ein Problem mit der Personalverfügbarkeit habt, dürft Ihr nicht mehr auf volle Auslastung gehen. 2 Stunden aufs Essen warten und dann 23 Euro für ein Braumeisterschnitzel - das passt nicht Wir waren das letzte Mal da.

Die Zeiten in denen man bei gutem Wetter mal beim Radeln am Biergarten spontan halt macht und sich erfrischen möchte, sind leider vorbei. Hier muss man sich erst anmelden oder besser noch vorab reservieren, dann wird man auch irgendwann ‚geseatet‘. Und von den Tischen war noch nicht einmal die Hälfte belegt. Dafür haben wir aber 2 Stunden Zeit auf der Tischkarte bekommen > ist ja schon mal was 😉. Wirklich gut war aber die Bedienung, welche durch Ihre Professionalität und Freundlichkeit eine schlechtere Bewertung verhindert hat.

The fact that you don't have to pay an entrance fee made me positive, but the fact that you are labeled as a second class person when you just want something to drink surprised me a lot. You have to sit in the corner, not at a table, behave cruelly. I feel humiliated.

Rustic brewery. The grill axes are a sensation. For this you drive around 100km.

You had to wait a long time for food and unfortunately it didn't come at the same time, but gradually. Waitress bitchy because she didn't get a tip.

We always enjoyed coming here, unfortunately this time the budget didn't allow for a tip, so the waitress suddenly became unfriendly in front of the gentleman - no thank you, no goodbye - we left without a word. Food tasted good

Great place on the banks of the Rhine and delicious food!

We ended up here on the recommendation of the lock master. Very nice restaurant. The currywurst 👍I'm not usually a fan of the white bratwurst, but this one was very tasty.

A really nice, cozy restaurant that offers a really large outdoor area as well as an indoor area. Great ambience, enough space, children's play area outside the bar, nice staff and really good food. I would definitely recommend a reservation. The dishes are prepared with love, vegetables, salad, mushrooms were fresh. Not quite as cheap (specially ordered side dishes), but I think there is something for everyone on the menu.

We always really enjoyed going to Maximilians. But recently it has slowed down a lot. Which I personally find very sad. Some dishes have been removed from the menu. Why? Very, very sad ☹️ . Quark and herb dip is no longer available, but there is some dip based on ketchup. Not recommended. It's a shame ☹️

The food was delicious and the service was very courteous. And a very good beer. Thanks a lot.

We weren't happy with the food. For the Jägerschnitzel, the mushrooms were canned and chopped into small pieces. The sauce that came with it was a ready-made sauce. The dessert (sweet) was with passion fruit. The ice cream had a vanilla ice cream ball, cream and at the bottom half a teaspoon of passion fruit in liquid form. Served in a small glass for an incredible 4.50 euros. We felt completely ripped off and after many visits, we won't be going back. We don't think the prices are justified for the quality.

You can do it. But you don't have to. The service is very attentive but very forgetful. Empty glasses are not cleared away; if you want to order new drinks, it takes forever for someone to come. Then my neighbor is handed his food over me and the service man basically held his arm right in front of my nose, over my food. Doesn't work at all. The goulash soup tastes 0815. The knuckle casserole was boring, old and bland. Unfortunately not our taste. I can't understand the rush. Then timeslots are set up in a beer garden. Goodbye socializing.

I think the brewery itself is great. The prices are fair and the beer is very good. Unfortunately, we were disappointed that, despite free tables, we couldn't sit outside or even in the rustic large hall. The next room was stuffy and didn't really have a brewery feel. The food is okay considering the large number of guests. However, I agree with some of the previous speakers: there seems to be more emphasis on transit tourism and that is completely OK. However, as a local, I prefer to take my money to a restaurant where I am not treated as just a number. But recommended as a stopover to eat beer and schnitzel without much fuss!

Last Friday we were here at Maximilian Brauwiesen with colleagues. Our table for 10 people was served all evening by an impressive and beautiful woman named Martha, who my colleagues and I were literally amazed by. For the first time, she recorded all ten drinks without writing anything down. We could have made a bet that Martha could also eat all of 10 people's food without a note. And that's what happened. She was able to remember every single meal, with all the changes, such as "without onions" or "I would like the sauce", and distribute it to the respective people without any errors. We were simply speechless. The food came quite quickly and was very tasty. And the whole brewery made a very good impression otherwise. We will definitely repeat it and can only recommend it.

Were there for the first time. It was well attended but not overcrowded! The menu has everything from light to hearty to sweet. The portions were completely ok! Price performance fits!! The service was courteous, quick and always present! There were no long waiting times! The atmosphere is rustic and has something really special about it. This is what it should look like in a brewery. We'll be back, that's for sure!!

Completely overwhelmed. The starter of the ordered dishes came before the first drinks. We waited over 2 hours before the first food came. These were also mixed with the neighboring table. The food arrived drop by drop over three quarters of an hour, even though the beer garden had emptied significantly and over half of the interior was unoccupied. When I asked the waitress, they kept saying you were next or coming straight away. The food was tasty, but not again under the circumstances.

We accompany you to the square. I always think it's great that the guests don't just sit down anywhere. Great ambience with a very large beer garden that goes right down to the Rhine. Delicious home-brewed beer and typical brewery dishes.

We had a company event with over 100 participants in a great atmosphere, delicious food and, above all, great service. I would especially like to thank our waiter (a young, dark-skinned man), who made the long day seem entertaining with a lot of charm and friendliness. The rest of the team was also quick & professional! A nice place to enjoy...also when it comes to your own beer 😅

Me and my soccer team went there and it was amazing. So first we waited for 15 minutes and then we got some drinks, but the food took very long and some of my soccer team weren't happy about it... But the food tastes amazing! (You should actually try it one day!) I went to the garden and... WOW, it was so big! It even had a playground and you can even play beach volleyball! After I went to the garden and sat on a bench, I checked the toilets. (Yes, the toilets.) And it was BIG, (no, really!) And clean, of course. All I could say was that this was amazing. Go there one day. It's so good.

....unfortunately, unfortunately... our formerly favorite brewery garden... destroyed by the most customer-unfriendly organizational madness... free tables everywhere, but queuing for the pre-booked ones...., Food and drinks are delivered to you from bustling cellars in record time... ... after 1 1/2 hours the table changes for the next person by tapping the waiter's watch (!!!)... ...no, honestly... comfort is different... ...we'd rather eat comfortably in our own garden... Soooo sad!!!

Offering the small schnitzel for just under 17 euros is completely overpriced, the fried potatoes are cold and burnt in places. The quality has seriously deteriorated.

Absolut nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren fast Jahrzehnte Stammgäste und haben wirklich viel Zeit und Geld da gelassen. Wir haben uns immer wohl gefühlt.. das nimmt seit einigen Jahren allerdings ab. Die Preise sind in den letzten Jahren zwischen 50&100% gestiegen. Die Schnitzel zb werden nicht selber paniert, man nimmt aber Preise als hätte man das Tier selber großgezogen. Geht woanders essen.. in jedem Imbiss gibts die selbe Qualität für die Hälfte und die Salatdeko und Kresse machts nicht besser.

Recently you have to order the side dishes for a knuckle for 9 euros extra, so that comes to almost 30 euros. Service very unfriendly this evening. The good times here are probably over too.

Great local, super nice service, finally beer that tastes good and the food is delicious. There are even free hygiene products and baby diapers in the women's toilet. Simply 10 out of 10

NEVER AGAIN. I have known the brewing meadows from day one. I have never experienced anything as bad as the service we had today. The waiter was one of the unfriendly people you can imagine. I hope that the Ohlig family can get this under control.

We cycled 50km extra today with two men and the boss didn't let us in. We would have sat down somewhere like that in a beer garden. Totally unfriendly. Let's not go there anymore.

I love it here, I was here for the first time over 15 years ago and I think it's getting better and better. Great view, brilliant atmosphere, very nice service, great.... The only small downer on Father's Day: I had ordered a non-alcoholic wheat (yes, I still had to drive). Apparently something was connected incorrectly, because after the first one I had the lamp on, there was definitely alcohol in it, which in this case was really stupid. Same thing at the next table, too bad. Otherwise, always happy. Basically: it's best to plan your visit and reserve it!

Urige Wirtschaft, großes Außengelände, leckeres Bier, leckeres Essen, Preise OK - was will man mehr? Wir wären gerne hier.

We have been coming for many years and the quality is constantly decreasing. A schnitzel that is a maximum of 1 cm thick with an egg and a carelessly prepared salad that doesn't even taste good for over €18 is absolutely overpriced. The quality is poor, as is the taste. The ambience has always been far too loud and you feel like you're on an assembly line. You didn't get more than one drink because you simply weren't served anymore. The spaetzle pan in a smaller children's version was not feasible for a child. However, the children's menu included spaetzle with gravy. Why the whole thing couldn't be baked with a little cheese remained unanswered. Overall dissatisfied with everything. That was different... a large and a small Coke and two dishes for over €44 in a rustic restaurant: that's not okay.

I haven't had such a nice waiter in a long time. We went on a day trip with a club and went there for dinner. Class

We wanted to eat and have a drink in the beer garden on May 1st. We had to queue to be shown a table. Unfortunately no one was free, so we were assigned a table inside and asked to add more people. If I want to go to a beer garden when the weather is nice, I don't want to sit indoors and I also want to choose my conversation partners myself. I politely declined. Everything was very comfortably designed, clean and very friendly. But I won't come anymore. I feel constrained by the perfect organization.

Just super great! I live in Koblenz and always enjoy showing my guests who come to visit me Maximilian's Brauwiesen. Same thing last night. We had a great stay at Maximilian’s! The service was really nice and looked after us very well. The food and beer were amazing! The knuckle and the Braumeisterschnitzel were absolutely delicious and, as always, fully met our expectations. 🤤 and the dessert was also very good. The atmosphere there was very cozy and really made you feel good. Overall, our visit to Maximilian’s was really great. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of the great food, great service and cool atmosphere!

It's a shame, I was so looking forward to the malt plate, which I've eaten several times, and then I only got a handful of green lettuce leaves, a handful of fried potatoes with a small fried egg - and that for a whopping €18. Plus the drinks. We always enjoyed going to Maximilians, but in my opinion the price/performance ratio is no longer right, especially since the purchase prices have now gone down again! Who can still afford that?!

Hatten Kommunionfeier beim Maximilians gefeiert. Die Gäste waren zufrieden, sehr nette Bedienung und gutes Essen. Mein Kind hat ein Gutschein vom Haus bekommen, was wir ganz schön fanden!

We were given table number 71, one of the worst tables right next to the kitchen, which had nothing separating it from the room with tables, the noise and noise of plates really disturbed us. The service was average, we waited about 10-15 minutes for the dishes and 20 minutes to pay. We ordered schnitzel with fries - not nicely presented on a plate. The second dish was liver with mashed potatoes - the potatoes were at the bottom of the plate, there was a huge amount of onion and liver on top of them, and three apple slices on top of the liver. It all looked very unappetizing. The taste wasn't good either. The third course was Sudpfanne, it looked beautiful and tasted quite good except for the beef chop, which was oozing blood when cut into it! The steak should have been medium, but it wasn't! We were not impressed with this place and we will definitely not go back there!

Very cozy outdoor area with a view of the Rhine and the Koblenz brewery. I thought it was great to try four different types of beer. My favorite was the dark beer. There was also a delicious currywurst with fries. I would love to come back here!

We were regular customers for years...really years and went there several times a week to drink delicious beer and eat something. The beer is really very good! The pricing policy is only getting worse. I just have to say it...in Nuremberg you can get a sauerbraten for 15€ and the schnitzel, which you can hardly manage and you can see that it was breaded yourself, is available for 13/14€!! You can also go out to eat for less in Koblenz itself... so of course we ask ourselves... why... why can others offer it cheaper and sometimes better even though shops are still paying their rent. We stayed loyal for a long time We accepted the increase in prices for a long time. But at some point it's good. Thank you for the many years in which we felt comfortable with you as locals. Sometimes you just have to take new paths. P.s.: The beer is still great!!! Food, no thanks!

Very nice beer garden, idyllically located directly on the Rhine. The restaurant inside is also very cozy - rustically furnished. Absolutely likeable, authentic and honest service employee who also enjoys his job and enjoys being a host! The food was also top 👍🏻 Dogs are also welcome here...so all in all 5 stars - TOP 👍🏻

Rustic atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food

I can't recommend making reservations there for two people. We were seated at a small table in the passageway, with about 10 people passing by every minute, as it was practically in the hallway between two larger rooms near the exit. As soon as the front door opened, we sat in the draft. In addition, this table was practically ignored by the service. Although the first order was taken and delivered quickly, we then waited 30 minutes for the next drink and another 30 minutes for the bill, despite empty glasses. The food was good and the house beers are also delicious - but I will refrain from visiting again.

The service staff was too pushy and persuaded a friend to keep the food they had ordered. Everyone would have liked to have something to drink, but no one came to take orders after 10 p.m., which was a shame

Food is very mediocre, with rather high prices. The service was quite nice. Info: Right from the start you were asked to only stay for 2 hours, even though it was half empty...

We've been eating here regularly since I was a little child. We have never been disappointed! No matter whether it's Christmas time, summer time or just in between. The service was ALWAYS a dream and the food was incredibly edible. Always my first choice when it comes to eating out.

Would love to come back again. Very tasty food & beer, rustic atmosphere, friendly and entertaining service. Had lunch there with a large group and everyone was served quickly and friendly. Pre-registration was very helpful and we had organized more service staff.

Die Preise für ein brauhhaus fanden wir etwas zu hoch wenn man überlegt das man für ein Jägerschnitzel 21,90 verlangt nur als Beispiel oder für ein Bier 0,5 5,20€ dann ist das eine Hausnummer. Und dann wird noch nicht mal richtig geheizt, da sollte man überlegen überhaupt auf zu machen. Der Kellner war absolut in Ordnung aber er alleine kann nicht alles weg machen

Eigentlich ein sehr schöner Laden vom Ambiente und den Räumlichkeiten her. Leider besteht der Großteil des Essensangebotes aus Convenience-Food.

Ach hier geh ich gern essen, da stimmt und passt alles..... meistens..... letzte Woche hatte ich ein Schweinefiletpfännchen mit Käse und RoteBeeteKnödel.... Knödel war rot, aber geschmacklich nicht nach Rote Beete..... das Pfännchen war das Gegenteil von fade und nach der Hälfte konnte ich geschmacklich nicht mehr weiter essen..... lecker Nachtisch Käsekuchentörtchen mit Kirschen und Baiserhaube...... trotz diesem kleinen Reinfall werden wir wieder hin gehen. Und wir können es empfehlen.

Super gelegener Biergarten für eine Radtour am Rhein.

Das Essen ist wie immer gut gewesen. Etwas enttäuscht waren wir vom Service. Wir waren mit kleinen Kindern 2 und 4 Jahren vor Ort gewesen. Für die Kinder wurden kinderfreundliche Menükarten mit einem Ausmalbild gebracht. Aber leider keine Stifte. Auf meine Nachfrage, ob die Bedienung auch Stifte bringen könnte, wurde nur gesagt, dass ich mir diese aus der Spielecke selber holen kann. Wer bringt denn bitte Ausmalbilder ohne Stifte? Bei dem Essen dann haben die Erwachsenen das Essen vor den Kindern bekommen und somit war dann die Stimmung der Kinder im Keller. Sie mussten schlichtweg zuschauen, wie alle um sie herum schon aßen. Später nach dem Essen haben dann alle noch Kaffee bestellt und die Kinder Kakao. Die Bestellung der Kinder wurde als erstes aufgenommen. Auch hier dann dasselbe Bild. Erst wurden die Erwachsenen bedient und dann die Kinder. Somit wollten die Kinder auch den Kakao gar nicht mehr trinken, da das alles viel zu lange gedauert hat. Die Bedienung sollte hier in Bezug auf die Kinder etwas aufmerksamer und professioneller auftreten.

Sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Essen ist sehr lecker auch große Portionen. Bier schmeckt auch sehr gut. Es gibt eine extra Karte für Kinder. Essen wurde nach der Bestellung sehr fix geliefert.

Alles lecker Ales frisch. Aber hört man kein Musik so laut alle mit Löffel arbeiten. ;-) P.s. Schweinaxe wie immer Super!

Super leckeres Essen mit richtig hochwertigem Fleisch. Wir hatten eine Weihnachtsfeier mit 70 Personen und konnten uns quer durchs Buffet kosten. Es war alles durchweg ausgezeichnet. Es war super dekoriert und die Bedienungen waren auch sehr nett....

Überragend! So viele Servicekräfte, dass diese bei zu wenig Gästen die Übersicht verlieren. Klasse Biere, tolles Essen und hier und da die richtige Prise Humor.

Schöne nette Ambiente aber mit der Currywurst war ich nicht zufrieden habe mir was anderes vorgestellt, nicht schlimm, nächste mal weiss ich bescheid aber sonst war es schön.
