Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. The food arrived cold, was dry, and barely seasoned. The brewing kettle has also changed significantly compared to the past. The beer sauce we ordered afterward was disappointing in taste, and we were charged an outrageous €5 for it. I hope the restaurant returns to the quality I once valued so highly.

From the phone reservation to the payment, everything was top-notch. The lady on the phone was very friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival, the staff were just as friendly and accommodating. The waiter (Michael) was a really great guy, friendly, approachable, gave us excellent advice, and was always there but never intrusive. A great brewery with a pleasant beer garden overlooking the Rhine and the Koblenz Brewery. The food was delicious and served quickly. The drinks were fresh, cold, and served quickly. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They can't be blamed for any kitchen mistakes... It's easily accessible on the right bank of the Rhine, and there's plenty of parking.

Yesterday, I invited six people to dinner and made a reservation via phone. The reservation went smoothly. I was reminded three times that the table was only reserved for two hours. After about 20 minutes and several inquiries, we were able to order our first drinks. It was very loud, and unfortunately, one drink wasn't properly registered. It wasn't the end of the world, but unfortunately, one meal wasn't properly registered and was served completely wrong. Luckily, my wife didn't get any food. Finally, the rim of the glass had a chip, and my neighbor cut her lip slightly. Unfortunately, they lost us as customers/guests. The food they brought was good, as always, though.

If you prefer the Bavarian brewery atmosphere, this is the ideal place for dining. The menu's carefully selected offerings should suit almost all tastes. The food is fresh and delicious. The drinks menu is typical of a brewery, ideal. You immediately feel at home here. It's important to reserve a table early, especially during holidays and before weekends. The staff is incredibly friendly and definitely deserves a generous tip.

We've known Maxi since its early days. Over the years, there have always been ups and downs in the kitchen. But it was consistently a good experience. Yesterday was our first visit in a while since the change of ownership. And we were very disappointed. First of all: The cozy atmosphere and the service were great, as always. The waiter, a long-time veteran, was friendly and attentive. The wait times were also absolutely fine, but the food was unfortunately a flop! We therefore award the two stars solely for the service. Positives: Crispy and tasty fries, the Spundekäs (cheese) and pretzel, the knuckle of pork, and the Braumeister schnitzel. The beer was good. The portions were very large. Negatives: The vegetable sticks (carrot, cucumber, radish) in the glass with the appetizer were no longer fresh. Rubbery and dry. You either had the impression they had been prepared the morning before or had already made a few rounds on the tables. Four arugula stalks had been placed on the board as decoration, but they were already half-slippery/rotten. It's better to leave the decoration out if it's no longer there. On to the appetizer salad. Nothing like before. Just a pick-your-own salad, and I found a 1/4 piece of cucumber on my plate that was still wobbly. I had to pick at the salad; there were always rotten bits in it, tasted and looked like rotten flower stems. The schnitzels seemed like frozen, mass-produced goods. They don't bread them themselves. A shame. The onions in the onion schnitzel had a neutral flavor. The mushroom sauce, unfortunately, didn't impress us either. And I couldn't drink my apple juice spritzer. It was terribly sour and tasted like cider. I left it alone. The sauerkraut was also, unfortunately, much too sour and had an overly strong juniper flavor. We're not usually that sensitive, but today we were really annoyed to have eaten here. Too bad, this was our last visit for the time being.

Great beer garden. We were there with a group of bikers. The food was just what you'd expect from a beer garden. Excellent service. Thanks to Martha, we were able to enjoy excellent service even when it was busy. We highly recommend this place.

I used to really enjoy going there. Unfortunately, it's just not as good anymore. The staff were sometimes unfriendly and completely overwhelmed. The food and drinks were brought incorrectly or not at all. The food was okay, but unfortunately not as good as it used to be, and the price wasn't worth it. It's okay for a beer, but in my opinion, I wouldn't recommend it anymore.

We celebrated our wedding at Maximilian's. Sahin guided us throughout the afternoon and evening, and it was fantastic! He served us and our guests exceptionally well, and we would recommend Maximilian's wedding to everyone!

Maximilians Brauwiesen is an absolute gem. The food was unreal – proper hearty dishes done perfectly – and the “brew pan” is out of this world (someone should honestly get UNESCO involved to protect it!). Be warned though: portions are very generous, so make sure you pace yourself and pair it with a few pints of their excellent Maximilians beer. A special shout-out to Alain Martinez, who somehow managed to look after a table of 40 right next to us without missing a beat – real pro. Thanks to everyone there for making our family reunion so memorable. I’ll definitely be finding excuses for more work trips around Koblenz just so I can come back! P.S: Toilet on the wall for those who love beer far too much!

We've been going there for almost thirty years. Until recently, we were quite satisfied. However, we can no longer recommend Maximilians. The service from the employee, who has been working there for thirty years, was truly very pleasant; our only complaint here is with his colleagues, who made a fuss about our reservation. The restaurant was barely busy at the time, but they still asked us several times whether we really had a reservation. Understandable given a busy restaurant at peak times, but given an almost empty one… Especially since our actual reservation request was simply ignored. The wait for the food was acceptable. The meal itself, however, was unfortunately an absolute low point. The fries were crispy, but extremely greasy. The side salad was already wilted from the sauce. The sad highlight, however, was the schnitzel: probably frozen, deep-fried. Absolutely not homemade. Again, very, very greasy. Unfortunately, the menu has also been drastically reduced. Unfortunately, this is another restaurant that hasn't been improved by a change of ownership. After almost 30 years of loyalty, we won't be returning.

We were there with friends for an early dinner. It was busy, almost all the seats were taken. A whole bus was checking in ahead of us. Despite what must have been a stressful situation, the receptionist (Yvette) showed us to our table in a very friendly manner (and without even looking at the reservation system after I gave my name!!!). Our server (Lisa) welcomed us there, and for the next two hours, we were in the best of hands. The food, the service, and the ambiance left nothing to be desired. This brewery and its friendly staff are highly recommended.

I really like this restaurant. The food is excellent, and both the interior and exterior are beautifully designed. Unfortunately, the service is extremely disappointing. Some waiters and waitresses are often rude and don't respect basic customer service rules. For example, they make fun of guests who ask for a dish they don't know and seem visibly annoyed when you ask for an explanation. Drinks are sometimes spilled—even on guests' clothes. Orders are forgotten, and you often have to ask several times before you are served. The receptionist at the entrance was very unfriendly. It's a real shame because the food and atmosphere are great, but the poor service seriously detracts from the overall impression.

Markus was great! The wine was bad. We had the Pinot Gris and the rosé. A better selection would have been appreciated. Service was excellent.

We had a company party, and everything was fantastic: the food, the service, and dear Markus did a fantastic job. However, as wine drinkers, we unfortunately have to deduct a star because the wines were truly undrinkable. Perhaps you should consider changing wineries. Best regards.

The only good thing that's left is the beer! The hot food is 80% frozen, and the service... has little to no gastronomic experience! Unfortunately, the atmosphere is also gone. It feels like a mass processing operation! We ate there for the last time with six friends, after three attempts last weekend.

We've been coming to Maximilians regularly for years and have always been very satisfied. Our visit yesterday was a bitter disappointment. The gravy boat was substandard: a more than small portion of meat, cold fried potatoes dripping with oil that filled the entire plate, and a huge, indefinably tasty onion mush. The few fries we had were unfortunately cold, too. We sent almost everything back because it was too much for us. We'd also like to note that the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely our last visit here.

The food is delicious and fresh. It's very, very large and therefore very loud. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside. I'll definitely come back again.

We've known the brewery for years. Unfortunately, our food arrived way behind schedule, so one of us had already finished. When we asked why, we were told, "We're currently serving over 1,000 people." Sorry, but if that's the case and you can't handle it, then have a private gathering! If you can't even eat together, why go out to eat?

We (four adults) had reserved a table on the terrace. Ordering drinks was a bit slow. Afterward, we had to keep an eye out to order food. The first order arrived after about 20 minutes, the second after 25, and the third and fourth, upon request, after 30 and 33 minutes. So, the first delivery was cold, or you eat alone, each of you eating separately. The orders consistently gave grounds for criticism. Poorly fried potatoes, the same with the hash browns, not really fried (more likely in a deep fryer?) and without a crust. The meat was well-done to dry. The salad wilted in the sauce. The composition of the dishes was recently changed, but the name remained the same, but the service was reduced (beef steak replaced with neck steak, two of them, but thin and well-done). All in all, the four of us have decided not to go to Maximilians again. The price-performance ratio is no longer good and has definitely not shifted to the customer's advantage. Actually zero stars for the food, a meager 2 for the service, the ambience also deserves a 2 ('wonderful' view of the brewery ruins on the left bank of the Rhine)

A fantastic restaurant with excellent food and a young but highly dedicated staff who were constantly busy, despite the full house! The home-brewed beer was a highlight. I brought two 5-liter kegs for my friends who stayed home! I immediately sent a compliment about the staff to manager Yvette, with a request to pass it on!

It's a place you'll always want to go back to.

First, the positive: the staff is very friendly and you get your fill. That's about it. The wait for the food was exactly 3 minutes, which isn't good. The schnitzel was frozen, and it tasted just as mediocre... The fried potatoes were greasy and oversalted. The onion sauce was an indefinable mush that tasted odd. The salad was OK, but nothing special. The beer, however, was good. All in all, the food was a complete disaster. This was definitely my last visit there...

Truly typical brewery food, plus special variations and a summer menu. Delicious beer, but really all kinds. Service was very fast, friendly, and courteous. Everyone always had a smile. Nice, large outdoor area... The location is very well known; we would make reservations again.

We've eaten there several times, and each time the quality has deteriorated. The beer tasted like a kick in the family jewels, (but ​​that's a matter of taste, I guess)! Our schnitzels weren't cooked through yet and tasted accordingly. Let's not even talk about the fried potatoes – simply terrible! Any kebab shop can do them better! The salad wasn't even served, forget it! They generously charged us for only one meal. Nevertheless, we had to pay 36 euros for two drinks and a terrible schnitzel. We're done.

So I was there on Sunday evening around 7 p.m., the place was pretty full, which was actually a good sign, but unfortunately not the case. The reception was nice, but when I was accompanied to the table, the lady noticed that her dress was very short, which I didn't think was great enough to see underneath. We ordered a shandy and a Coke. The service was nice and friendly, but I spilled 1/4 of a Coke while serving it, oh well, it happens. Now for the food, and for me the worst thing of all: I had the brewmaster schnitzel with cheese and dried beef with fries and sauce, the fries were just lukewarm, the meat only had cheese, the dried beef was missing, and the sauce was watery. The only thing that tasted good was the salad. My friend had the Sude Pfanne, the meat was tough, dry, and fried for too long, and the onions had no taste of anything. We tried somehow to get it down, but it didn't work. After the waiter came and asked if we wanted to take the rest with us (3/4 of the pan full and 3/4 of the plate full), we said no, saying that we didn't like the taste. You could see that the waiter was shocked and said I'd pass it on. He offered us two espressos, which we got for free too. We would have liked someone, a chef/boss or something, to have come over to us and tried it so we could taste and see for ourselves, but nothing. The food was on the table 10 minutes after we ordered, despite the place being full, which I find strange as everything is actually made fresh. In the end, on top of everything, I still had to pay a bill of almost 67 euros for a meal that 1. didn't taste good and 2. wasn't even half eaten. I think it's really harsh to be asked to pay the full amount anyway. In conclusion, I'm very disappointed with a place where I was very happy six months ago. I would have been happy if someone had responded to my emails to maybe talk about it, but the lack of response shows me personally how important the customer's opinion is.

My wife and I wanted to enjoy a delicious beer yesterday in the beautiful weather. To round off a Rhine bike tour. Despite the long queue, the usher was very attentive and friendly to guests she knew. When I barely moved a meter past the waiting sign, she felt compelled to make a remark across the beer garden. Our seat was right at the edge. My request to be seated inside could not be accommodated for reasons unknown to me. They said it was so busy today. Which wasn't entirely understandable. In total, well over half the seats were free. Of course, I didn't know about the reservations. Unfortunately, we and the table next to us had to wait a long time for the reservation to be taken. A woman from the next table then went to inquire. So we weren't the only ones who were already getting a bit impatient. This was probably partly due to a shift change. But not to the usher's special personality. What can I say? In any case, the beer was delicious.

I was there for lunch today! Everyone was super friendly and helpful! The waitress, Ms. Martha, was very courteous and friendly! Thank you!

We haven't eaten yet but we will

We were here for two days. Tuesday: Everything was a bit chaotic, but we immediately got treats and a water bowl for the dog. The conditions were nice, though my meal, a Braumeisterschnitzel, arrived first, and about 10 minutes later, my wife's and son's fries arrived. About 10 minutes later, their schnitzels also arrived. By then, my schnitzel was already cooked (otherwise, it would have gotten cold). Thursday: Everything was much more relaxed. The dog didn't get any treats, but he did get water when he asked. The order came together, and we were able to eat together. The food was always delicious (the croutons were a bit bland). And the different beers were great, too. We will definitely eat here again when we're in the area. You should always make a reservation, though, to guarantee a table.

So, I really don't have any complaints about the taste or quality of the food. BUT THE PRICE!!!!!! Pork knuckle with sides over €20. Turkey steak over €20. Just by the way, buying knuckle wholesale costs €2/kg plus €1-2 for the sides. The seating is good /it's crowded/ and the beer is tasty.

The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Laura served us excellently, and the location and atmosphere were perfect. We highly recommend the roast chicken, knuckle of pork, and liver.

Everything was very good. But there was neither paper nor hand sanitizer in the men's restroom. I pointed this out to the staff twice, but two hours later, it still hadn't been fixed. This unfortunately casts a bad light on what was supposed to be a great evening.

Maximilians is ok under new management. The ambiance is just as good as before, the service was the same, very friendly and helpful. Four of us ate there. That's where the criticism comes in. The schnitzel, for the relatively high price, reminds us of ready-made products from the freezer. I wouldn't say whether it is, but it was dry and the quantity doesn't determine the taste. Large portions, but the food is no joy. So please go back to the old standards, or lower the prices. My opinion. We'll keep an eye on it. To put it into perspective: we've had many wonderful events there, including family celebrations. After today's experience, I wouldn't recommend it anymore.
