Hotel Weiland in Lahnstein

Nice hotel and friendly hosts. Unfortunately, the parking situation is very bad, and the ladies and gentlemen from the public order office are very busy.

A total disaster! I had booked a Classic single room. Upon checking in, I asked for two extra pillows - and was very rudely assigned a different room. This one was in the middle of nowhere - dark corridors - lots of steps - only found with a compass. The shower was unusable; turning around and soaping was impossible in this cramped corner cubicle - and the water wouldn't drain. It smelled very unpleasant. The terry towels were similar to sandpaper. Then I heard a loud motor noise - not from outside. I then called the reception to ask what the noise was - and was told: If I don't like it, I should leave. The Classic single room cost €78 without breakfast - due to staff shortages, there was no breakfast option - and the rice was not changed. Card payments not accepted. Reception only staffed a few hours a day. Never again -

I had a beautiful room. The Weiland family was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Thank you for the accommodation and I would love to come back!

Very loud: railway line directly opposite with freight trains... But the train station is very close. Bathroom smells like drain. Everything lacks a bit of care and attention to detail but the room was clean. Bed wasn't very comfortable.

Unfortunately, this time the drain in the sink in my room was broken and the shutters didn't go all the way down, meaning the room couldn't be darkened. Otherwise the room is clean and functional.

Noisy (train traffic outside the window), extremely hot in summer (as there is no air conditioning), rooms are quite run down, breakfast below average

Great hotel, friendly service. Parking is a problem in Oberlahnstein and therefore also at this hotel. Two stars for the location as it is close to the station.

I didn't find the freight and passenger trains that pass directly in front of the hotel particularly disturbing with the window closed. What I found a little more disturbing was that the hotel's own parking lot apparently didn't exist, or at least I was simply referred to the public parking spaces. Since they start charging at 8 a.m., it was a bit annoying in the morning. I would describe the breakfast as plain and simple; the staff was friendly. The rooms are simple and quite functional, but clean, as is the bathroom. Overall, the hotel is built in a somewhat unconventional way - almost tower-like. The atmosphere in the hotel is more functional than homely. There's little room for Rhine romance here, but it's fine for business travelers.

It's a bit of a shame that you have to hand in bikes by 6 p.m. in order to store them safely overnight.
