Max & Moritz in Berlin

It's been my favorite kebab place since childhood. Even in the middle of the night, you won't be disappointed and can still get a delicious kebab.

I can highly recommend this place. The food is very good and the people are very friendly. This time I ordered a kebab plate. It's quite a mountain with fresh salad, fries and lots of meat.

The kebab was delicious. But the salesman wasn't nice. He didn't ask me if it was takeaway and he tried to put the kebab in the bag. I told him I wanted to eat there. He was mad at me. You should talk nicely to your customers. Never eat here again!

The falafel dürüm at Max & Moritz was okay, but nothing special. The salad was fresh, the sauces were okay, but unfortunately the falafel wasn't freshly prepared - rather soft and slightly dry. This is the case in many kebab shops, but it's not a highlight. What I found positive was the seating options, which were sufficient and comfortable. If you want something quick to eat, this is a good place to take a break, otherwise there are probably better options for falafel.

If the skewer was of higher quality and wasn't made of such cheap meat, it would be a great kebab shop. But unfortunately it's not that great as it is, and some employees cut the meat too thick. Too bad!

This place offers quite good quality kebab. Not the best of the town but really good! The menu is quite big and they offer a lot of stuff. This results in a very crowded place sometimes, but they can handle it very well and the atmosphere is always good. Together they are a fast team. The staff guys are very chatty and sometimes a little too much cat calling from my point of view. But that is my personal feeling and you have to get your own experience. The interior is comfortable but simple. They renewed the fassade and the inside. It's quite cosy now and welcomes you to a sit in. To summarize: I can recommend this place if you need a good kebab. Even if you wanna stay you should give it a try!

Bad kebab. You can tell straight away that employees don't feel like working. The Dürüm bread is some cheap tortilla stuff... The sauces taste like nothing... The kebab is served straight away cold. The lettuce is not fresh, tarnished and the tomatoes are mushy. The only “plus” point is that the kebab is a size that is OK for today’s standards. Prices are rather high by today's standards.

The food is good. The employees work quickly and well. There are places to eat and since the renovation they are also inviting.

One of the good ones in Charlottenburger! I can recommend it to everyone, my favorite is > MAXI DÖNER ONLY WITH ONIONS + garlic-spicy :) Almost everything there has been tasty so far.

Excelente personal que hablaba inglés y era servicial haciendo elecciones. Deliciosa comida y porciones enormes. Un montón de elección de comida local alemana, que era genial. Disfrutamos de la cerveza pollo y goulash.

Nice shop, they also accommodate special requests, but one of the sauces tasted like ketchup, which was a bit off-putting. So it's better to just order the yogurt sauce.

Esperienza molto positiva. Locale caratteristico ispirato ai piccoli crudeli protagonisti di un proto-fumetto ottocentesco. Servizio un po' ruvido, ma efficiente. Sempre affollato (Da prenotare). Cucina tedesca (oltre alle shnitzel, che sono austriache..., qui non enormi); maiale e patate in ogni versione. Locale decisamente caratteristico. Spesso frequentato da piccoli gruppi di musica tradizionale.

I was on a school trip to Berlin in 2017 and found this shop by chance. It was the best kebab of my life and super nice people there.

Unfortunately not as great as before, the kebab wasn't anything special and wasn't really big anymore. The sellers are pretty unfriendly

I was there today and waited 10 minutes to even be able to order (only 1 guest other than me in the store). Then suddenly 3 other people came in and their orders were taken immediately, before mine. I immediately turned around and left the store. I have rarely experienced something so rude...

Lugar con historia y ameno. En un lugar de muchos bares y restaurantes. Sin duda es un lugar que hay que conocer. Exquisita la comida y un menú variado. Tener en cuenta que SOLO aceptan efectivo.

We were there on a Monday lunchtime. There was little activity. But the tables were still dirty. Of course, you try to clean it immediately after speaking to us. The fries we ordered were crispy and delicious. In our opinion, the lahmacun could have been seasoned better. There wasn't enough sauce on it. Spice wouldn't have been bad. The meat tasted mushy. But the staff was still very friendly. A lot of effort was made. Card payment is possible. Since the Lahmacun didn't suit our taste, we passed it on to the residents outside the train station. Who were still very enthusiastic about it. So people were still made happy. And everything is fine. Regarding the ambience, it should be mentioned that in this long tube where the tables are, you feel like you are in a shop window.

This store prompted me to write my very first Google review. Because - The service was absolutely top notch! Apart from the fact that the gentleman who served us talked to us (3 women) as if he were something better - (sexist, condescending, hostile to women) - he tried to rip us off - he should give us a 100€ Issued a note for €20 and repeatedly tried to defraud us of €10! To everyone who plans to visit here - watch your money!

Ristorante con piatti tipici tedeschi. Qualità ottima, porzioni abbondanti, birra ottima. Personale gentilissimo e prezzi onesti. Con 60 euro abbiamo cenato in due bevendo 1,5 litri di birra alla spina. Menù anche in italiano

I've never experienced a friendly employee there. You have the feeling that they are bothering you when you want to order something. I'm still there every few weeks because the Böreks are unbeatably good (although 6 are now really hard)…

No!!! Unfortunately not like Max & Moritz on the main street. I ordered a Dürüm with fries and cheese. The portion is half the size and the Dürümb bread was taken off the grill so quickly that it was still completely raw and two fries were placed on the meat. Unfortunately a total disappointment!

Horrible owner/ staff, worst service. He was throwing tantrum. It was clear from his behavior, he is Rude and against foreigners. Don't go here, the food is not tasty as well.

Meat and salad was okay but the bread from the dürum was very hard.

We went to Max&Moritz in the evening. First and foremost, we were served very unfriendly. In addition to the lack of service, half the ceiling 2 meters next to the kebab skewer was torn down while the food was being prepared. You could tell how the dust was spreading around the store and ending up in the salad bar. Overall, the kebab was unfortunately not edible.

We stood in line for 20 minutes and then had to pay. We were then told that we had to go back to the back of the line and wait another 20 minutes until it was our turn again to choose the sauces etc. We then asked for our money back. The kebab man got loud and said that this was normal here, so queue once to pay and queue once to order. We were simply standing in the wrong row - but there was no sign anywhere. Too bad.

The current team working there is very bad, you ask them something and they do something, you don’t feel they pay attention to what you ask for. I will avoid next time.

An okay döner, but you expect a little more from a döner in Berlin. Unfortunately, the meat was a bit dry and lacked a bit of flavor. The bread was incredibly delicious. There were also a lot of fresh vegetables, which made it good, but there were a little too many vegetables and a little too little meat. It could also have used a little more dressing. You have to pay extra if you want cheese in it. The price is also a bit expensive than many of the other places

Doner (Dürüm) good in quantity, but meat very dry and slightly burnt. Prices are now in the upper range. The service seems uninterested in the customer, kebab is not brought to the table even though there is a wife and child there. Still good 3 stars

Apart from the food: Here only mass processing is required. Since the recent renovation, prices have increased significantly again. This is probably not in the interest of all customers. Especially since the quality has unfortunately deteriorated. The employees are often very stressed and then become unfriendly. Maybe they think that enough guests will come anyway. In any case, we no longer feel comfortable there and were there for the last time. That's too bad. But we don't want to support something like that either. Think about it.

Doner kebab is love. And if you're in the mood for a good kebab after a tiring night and decide to tip €6.50 despite the bottomless inflation, there should be more in it than an unfriendly "I'll slap a blob of sauce in the middle of the bread and shoot." Put the meat in your bread that has been lying around for 20 minutes." Even though I can understand that sometimes you don't feel like it, a little love is necessary.

The meat tastes like papier-mâché, the salad isn't seasoned, the grilled chicken is just sticky! Even worse for me: why do you wear rubber gloves in virus times when you use the same hand to stuff the kebab meat into the box with which you accept cash from customers??? Disgusting, unhygienic!

Prices have risen sharply like everywhere else in Berlin. Delicious kebab plate!! The shop is even open until late in the evening. You can sit outside. What struck me positively was the huge selection of drinks; there really is something for every taste.

I tried a Döner to go, and really liked it! The food is filling, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is also friendly and speak English. I recommend this :) Edit: the Borek wasn't very great when I bought it. I prefer the Döner a lot more.

We went on a kebab holiday in Berlin at the weekend and feasted our way through what we consider to be the best shops in the city for three days. On Dreidöner day we also found our way to Max and Moritz and had dinner with the two German-sounding hosts late in the evening. Priced at €6.50 in the midfield, the store is centrally located near Charlottenburg train station. In terms of taste, we were surprised by an extremely tasty example, which was freshly cut from the spit and prepared with a lot of warmth despite it being 10 p.m. local time. Definitely a recommendation, my colleagues Max and Moritz run a really recommendable restaurant serving Turkish specialties! One of the top places in the kebab holiday ranking.

Edit: max und Moritz are reporting all negative reviews as fake! Edit 2: they have now made another legal request to remove my review. They are claiming I am not a real person and never ate there. Disgusting food, very racist and rude staff... you might get a good kebab if you're Turkish! If you aren't then they try to put fries in your kebab instead of meat and will try to charge you extra... they use fake reviews and try to intimidate all negative reviewers

Excelente flavor, very well presented dish, very tasty beer, super pleasant and impeccable service. a unique experience with a typical German restaurant and dish. I recommend the experience!

We wanted to experience a real German menu in a proper German restaurant. This did not disappoint. The meals were enormous and the beers good. Nice decor and ambience and moderate prices. We had a great evening.

Such a dirty shop... It's getting to be enough... Order a kebab for €6.50 and get a half-full kebab... I wouldn't care about the price, I earn 10x as much as the whole shop, but if you order a kebab for that price, then I expect a full kebab like 10 years ago and they cost €2.50 and were full! ... I know exactly the prices, whether it's electricity or the products, it's a jokezzzzzz...

For the second time the bread was soft like toast. How can he not notice when preparing it that it is still way too soft. The salad is also cut way too coarsely. There will be no third attempt.

Worst kebab I've ever eaten in my entire life. Huge gristly disgusting inedible pieces of meat in the kebab. Really not recommended. The only plus point is that the store is open late.

Unfortunately I didn't like the kebab. Too much sauce and not enough meat with cartilage. Maybe it will taste better next time, otherwise I'll go to another kebab shop, there are a lot of them in Berlin.

Der Laden liegt auf meinem Arbeitsweg - auch auf dem Rückweg vom Pub komme ich hier vorbei. Seit über 10y. Die Döner werden immer dünner - gestern habe ich einen Maxi Döner für 8,5€ gekauft - der war nicht größer als ein Standardöner bei anderen Anbietern. Die Preise an der Wand sind nicht die Preise welche dann aufgerufen werden - Leute das ist unlauterer Wettbewerb - Maxidöner nach eurer Preistafel 7,5€ - kassiert werden 8,5€? Ich finde es gut das man sitzen kann, der Salat ist sehr gut angemacht und die frische Petersilie steht ihm gut - aber das PLV leidet schon ein wenig die letzte Zeit.

Essen hat sehr nachgelassen, war schon mal besser, schade, für gefüllte 3 pommes 🍟 3,50€ etwas sehr teuer

Unsere Rezension wurde einfach verhindert. Gut: wer Döner ohne Dönerfleisch essen will, mit viel Salat kann so viel bezahlen. Unverschämtheit das als Döner zu verkaufen und für so einen Preis!! Nicht hingehen!

Bin wöchentlich da aber der ältere Mann, der immer Samstags morgens arbeitet, hat einfach kein Lust Kunden zu bedienen. Auf sein Gesicht steht „was willst du von mir?“ Solche 0815 Mitarbeiter müssen sofort Weg!

Unhygienisch. Essen wir ohne Zange, Handschuhe etc. angefasst und Münzgeld/Scheine werden mit der gleichen Hand angenommen/ausgegeben.

There are multiple "Max & Moritz" restaurants in Berlin, we visited the one in "Hauptstraße 140". Delicious foods, friendly atmosphere. Portions were huge, prices good. We were travelling as family, with kids 4-12, everyone got something they liked.

Normaler Döner nicht schlecht aber auch nicht besonders .. Knoblauchsoße könnte mehr knoblauch vertragen dann schmeckt sie auch wie eine Knoblauch Soße..die scharfe Soße war gut
