I was there recently, and unfortunately it's closed for renovations/relocation? It was always nice here :-) Hardworking employees and a very nice team!

The terrace is super nice, and everything so far has been delicious. My favorite dish is the cheese spaetzle with salad. Huge portions. The seating is nice, and the staff are all very friendly. The only downside is the parking situation. If you can't get one of the four spaces, you can park in the parking lot further back, but that's incredibly expensive. You can also park on the street for a fee.

We were here with a larger group, the service was quick when it came to drinks and food and tried to serve everything at the same time. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and food, the portions were large. Unfortunately, the background music was a bit too loud for all of us and we felt like we had to shout at each other to understand each other.

Finally a break where people who can't/don't want to eat pork can also find enough choice when it comes to sausage. It would be good if orange juice could also be ordered in bulk, but otherwise everything was great.

I recently tried out the new breakfast buffet at Mauritius in Freiburg with my mother and was thrilled! The selection is simply fantastic - from freshly baked bread to delicious homemade spreads (many of them vegan!) to a large variety of smoothie bowls, fruit and also warm things such as scrambled eggs and sausages. There is also a great selection for children. Everything was fresh and tasted excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is super friendly. Definitely a place I would happily recommend!

The food was pretty good, the sweet potato fries are definitely worth recommending. I think the price is quite high since you pay almost €23 for a schnitzel with spaetzle. Of course Freiburg is still quite expensive for my standards✌🏽

Super freundlicher Service der Spaßig unterwegs war . Zuerst denkt man ,es gibt typisch Franchise Style essen. Ich und meine Kumpels wurden jedoch positiv überrascht . Super frisches und leckeres Essen. Auch gab es keinerlei Wartezeit und man konnte sich wohlfühlen.

Food from the freezer and therefore way too expensive. Mixed salad consists of 70% of the cheapest ingredient, corn. Spaetzle from the bag, briefly warmed up, sauce without any taste. Ice cream with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and cream tastes very bitter. The ambience is loveless, except for the dodo bird as a sticker on the window, the restaurant is more reminiscent of the university hospital cafeteria. In the reserved area for larger events, boxes and garbage are stacked in plain sight next to the dining tables. The service is divided into women who are only allowed to clear away and men who try to take the order. We didn't know the restaurant, but we won't be going back.

Price/performance ratio doesn't fit. The price has increased, but you don't have to make the portions smaller because of that. Unfortunately, they didn't score points with the selection of beer or cocktails, but they were friendly when returning the drinks.

I was there with a few friends to celebrate my birthday in a relaxed manner. At first the mood was quite good with cocktails which only cost €5 on Mondays. Some of us had also ordered something to eat, only two of us waited until 9 p.m. to get the burgers, as advertised in the restaurant, at half the price and therefore affordable. The burgers were also, as always, very good. So the others got hungry again and also ordered a burger. About 2 minutes later, when the first two burgers were almost eaten, we got the news that the offer for half-price burgers had no longer been valid for months, but the advertising for it was still running on the monitors. The burgers we had just ordered were then canceled. However, the full price was charged for the burgers that had already been eaten (~18€). When we complained, the shift manager only gave cheap excuses. “Yes, I’m not responsible for advertising,” “I have no influence on the cash register,” “The advertising also says that we offer bowling. “That’s not true either,” “I also offered you a free cocktail.” As already mentioned, the cocktails that day cost €5. So his argument was basically: “Yes, you pay €18 more for food, but you pay €5 less for drinks, so it evens out.” He also said the last part the same way. After a long discussion, he finally *very annoyed* agreed to take two more cocktails off the bill. But throughout the discussion he was of the opinion that we had to answer for the restaurant's mistakes. You can complain to the franchisor. This person has probably never heard of customer service. Only the waitress, who was extremely nice and courteous throughout the evening, apologized several times for the situation.

The food is expensive but very tasty. The wait staff provides good service except for the shift manager on the last evening we were there: There are advertisements on the restaurant's televisions saying that burgers are half price after 9 p.m. during the week. So we waited until 9 p.m. to order. After we ordered and sat down, we were told when we paid that the half price offer had not been valid for months. Ultimately, after a long discussion with the annoyed shift manager, we didn't have to pay for all the cocktails, but still had to pay the full burger price, so still more than we should! DEAR MAURI TEAM, IF THE OFFER IS NOT VALID, THEN DO NOT RUN ANY ADVERTISEMENT!!!

Delicious food and nice ambience

Very cozy atmosphere, super nice service, a great range of cocktails and really affordable prices. Easy to reach (directly at the train station), but unfortunately there are no parking spaces.

The food is good but the quality drops significantly. Fritas used to have a lot more chocolate in it. In my opinion, drinks weren't cool enough. Very little ice. Things are simply forgotten. e.g. shrimps on the menu. These were then brought upon request. Ordered Fritas were also only brought upon request. The bar's occupancy was low during the visit.

Been there again and again over the years - and never been convinced. Most of the time the service wasn't good and you had to wait a long time for drinks, the food was nothing special and not cheap. Cocktails are highly praised but are now only average. Sitting outside is really cool with that certain beach feeling. Inside, however, you have more of the feeling of a hip cafeteria.

Nice pub with good service. No problems finding space.

I'm a bit torn. On the one hand, I thought the service was really good (the kitchen started a little earlier). On the other side there were a bunch of employees sitting next to us who were smoking. The food was tasty and solid but not a 5 on the scale. But if you're looking for a cool refreshment for your throat and like the train ambience (or are nearby and waiting for your train), this is a great place for you. Personally, I thought it was good, but next time I'm in town I would try something new for a snack before continuing my journey.

My friend and I went there for lunch, service was great, almost too great. In the end we knew why: we both had gastrointestinal problems the next day... The food wasn't even there within ten minutes, which doesn't mean it was fresh. It has to be said that we were the only ones at that time, but it tasted very much like “heating in the microwave”. All in all it was ok but we prefer to go somewhere else to eat.

Also der Service muss ich sagen, war schonmal besser. Nach 30 Minuten kam jemand, der im übrigen erstmal an unsere Tisch vorbei laufen wollte (man musste denjenigen direkt anhalten sonst wären wir noch länger ohne Bestellung am Tisch gesessen) der Getränke und Essen aufgenommen. Nach 60 Minuten hatten wir das Getränk aber vom Essen war nichts zu sehen. Es war wirklich nicht viel los, für recht viel Personal das rum gelaufen ist. Eigentlich wollten wir noch einen Cocktail bestellen aber bei so langen Wartezeiten hatten wir dann auch keine Lust mehr. Schade. Ansich war das Personal freundlich aber ich denke in der Gastronomie sollte man doch zwischendurch mal an die Tische gehen und wenigstens 1x fragen ob alles in Ordnung ist oder ob man noch Getränke haben möchte wenn die Gläser lange leer sind.. Der Service war früher wirklich besser und die Wartezeiten deutlich kürzer auch wenn mehr los war... Cocktails wir üblich lecker und das Essen ist soweit auch in Ordnung.

The employees should be more aware of “Mauritius”. The food was OK, but we expected the menu to actually reflect the typical Mauritian food.

Essen / Cocktail sehr lecker dauert aber lange

Mittlerweile fast jede Woche mal dort. Man muss sagen im Sommer draußen, ist es ein angenehmes Klima. Im Winter,drinnen finde ich es etwas ein und zusammengerückt. Das Essen ist Geschmacklich eine glatte Punktzahl, von der Qualität her ist es unterschiedlich, je nach Zeit und Menge der Kunden. Wenn die Stoßzeit erreicht ist dauert es wenig bis man wahrgenommen wird,genauso mit dem zahlen.. Aber alle meine Erfahrungen zusammengezählt bin ich sehr zufrieden und werde immer wieder vorbeikommen! :) Update: Leider bestehen die Cocktails gerade zur Happy Hour eher aus Eiswürfeln als aus Alkohol.

Hätte ich so nicht erwartet, aber das Schnitzel ist wirklich sehr gut :) Der Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich und hat auch aktiv und gut verkauft. Sehr gut! Gerne wieder.
