We spontaneously went to the Matterhorn Stübli without a reservation and were extremely lucky: a table became available at short notice on the evening of the 25th anniversary. From the amuse-bouche to the appetizer to the main course, everything was absolutely perfect and delicious. The staff was consistently attentive, friendly, and even had time for a joke – the recommendation for the digestif was also spot on. A special highlight was the live piano music, which made the evening even more atmospheric. Even though we didn't win anything in the raffle, we had a fantastic evening and would love to come back.

We had a wonderful evening at the Matter Horn! The food was simply fantastic – we especially loved the summer rösti and the vegetarian cheese fondue. This was accompanied by a "Raspberry Dream" cocktail, which truly lived up to its name. The service was very attentive and warm, with a pleasant dose of small talk that made the evening even more personal. All in all, a fantastic visit – we'd love to come back!

A real insider tip for good food, a great atmosphere, and very friendly staff. You have to look out for the balcony facing the street to see the Swiss flag.

We stopped in spontaneously. I had a schnitzel, which unfortunately didn't impress me that much. The service, however, was very friendly and attentive. We also wanted to leave a tip, which unfortunately is only possible in cash and not with card payments. You can, of course, pay for food and drinks with a card. So please bring some cash with you.

Perhaps the price-performance ratio should be reconsidered. A green salad with a few croutons and a few pieces of chicken for almost €18? The rösti with salmon and shrimp tasted okay, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right here either. The service was great and attentive.

Since eating is done in two shifts on the weekend, most guests arrive at the same time because they have to leave at a set time. This may sometimes result in shorter waiting times. We went there for the first time on a recommendation. The restaurant was very well attended, which put us in a positive mood. Unfortunately, this meant that we had to wait an extremely long time for hospitality. The service was polite and attentive, the food was also good.

Small restaurant....ok - but full at too many tables ---- Volume level in the small rooms is too loud!! --Staff totally overwhelmed by too many tables-- Table reservation only for 2 hours, then radical eviction for next table time...!! but if you arrive on time; So make an appointment for 2 hours in advance .....Wait......Orders after 30 minutes possible..... Drinks after 50 minutes // Food a quarter of an hour later --- cozy meal see different... ........ We were there with 4 people - I had ordered rump steak myself..... tasted OK / but already too cold for hot from the medium medium--------- also much too small for it, I already had it after two hours Appetite again and more..... the same with two other people at the table Disaster ---- never again!!!

A reservation is absolutely advisable! A small, rustic and cozy restaurant with Swiss food (fresh and high quality), absolutely friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Even after several visits, I haven't managed a dessert yet - but I was told by relatives that they are also very good :-) It's nice when you leave a restaurant full, satisfied and in a good mood and the price, performance ratio and service were absolutely right. Always happy to do so in the future - many thanks to the team there.

My husband and I had dinner there yesterday. We were also there during Corona time. We can recommend it 100 percent. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Food is super delicious. My husband had the daily special yesterday and I had fondue. Since it was so good and we are still in Kassel for a few days, we reserved another table for Friday and Saturday evening. We are already looking forward to the next delicious meal.

In short: We love it here! Food and service is top 👍🏼 The ambience is great. You simply have to eat the cheese fondue, but other dishes with rösti are also delicious. Small restaurant, but quaint, tasty and a friendly team. Of course a little greasier due to cheese etc. You have to think about that beforehand. But the visit is worth it just for the Toblerone mousse, which I could theoretically eat three portions of. We'll be back!

We were there on Saturday evening with six people. And everyone was very, very happy. This is mainly due to the menu. There are really wonderful dishes from Switzerland here. And €23 for a cheese fondue isn't too much in my opinion. The rösti, the sliced ​​meat, the Toblerone mousse for dessert: it was all really delicious. If you don't feel like pizza, pasta or Asian, then the Matterhorn Stübli is a real alternative. If you wanted to improve something, it would be a little more light in the beer garden. For example LED lamps on the tables. And the greens that have dried out could also be cut. But the rest: a full five stars.

We visited the Stübli while passing through Kassel - the atmosphere is cozy but simple - the perfect reminiscence of a Swiss ski hut. The hostesses were very welcoming and the service was wonderful. The cheese soup and the Kässpätzle are highly recommended (you shouldn't be averse to good cheese when you visit). There are authentic herbal schnapps to help digest it. We would come back immediately if we were in Kassel again and can only recommend a visit.

As a Swiss native, I have been living near Kassel for over ten years now and today we were in the Matterhorn-Stübli for the first time. It definitely won't be that long before we find the path again. The food (we had the Rösti and the Tobleronemousse Bergglück for dessert) was super tasty, the service was very good and the small but fine restaurant was peppered with lots of beautiful Swiss details. Be it the flag hidden on the cloakroom wall or the traditional milk jug in the corner or even the edelweiss on the napkins. It is the perfect restaurant for a quick trip home. I say thank you 😊

The food was delicious. I had a cheese soup that I really enjoyed. Since I am a fondue fan, I tried the Hercules Foudue variant. With beer instead of wine and old sausage. Wir hatten einen Tisch mit 8 Personen reserviert und auch so, war das Restaurant an einem Freitag sehr voll. Es gab 2 Servicekräfte für das ganze Lokal. Das hat aber gut funktioniert. Leider haben wir aber fast 1,5 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet. Das "Züricher Geschnetzeltes" war eher 0815, nur leider nicht der Preis dafür. Es gab lediglich einen Rösti, einer mehr wäre optimal gewesen. Der Geschmack des Geschnetzelten war eher unspektakulär, es musste ordentlich nachgewürzt werden. Die Käsesuppe vorab war aber super. Die Fondue´s meiner Sitznachbarn waren wohl sehr lecker. Fazit: Hat man mal gemacht, bräuchte ICH aber nicht nochmal.

Mein allererstes Mal Fondue und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht! Bedienung ist unglaublich freundlich, wir wurden gut bei der Essen- und Getränkeauswahl beraten und es gab eine kleine Suppe aufs Haus. Zum Nachtisch haben wir (natürlich) ein Stück Toblerone bekommen.

Wir waren als Paar dort.Prompt und sehr freundlich bedient worden! Das Essen inkl. Vorspeise war sehr sehr lecker, Geschmacklich super. Getränkeauswahl von Wein über Bier bis zum Aperetiv und der Softgetränke vollkommen ausreichend. Ambiente ist klein und gemütlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und probieren uns noch durch die Karte!

Das Essen war wieder spitze. Vom Gruß aus der Küche, der Vorspeise bis zum Hauptgericht hat alles sehr gut gemundet. Die Schweizer Küche ist genau mein Geschmack. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Da jeg så at der var et sted som dette. Og at der så var oste fondue, løb mine tænder i vand. De virker som en lokal restaurant. Servicen er ok., men der gik lidt tid før maden kom. Jeg blev lidt skuffet over min fondue. Brødet til var "købe brød" og ikke hjemmebagt. Der var desværre heller ikke mulighed for at bestille en "løs" salat eller noget charcuterie til. Hvilket gjorde det lidt til en "tam" oplevelse...

Leckere Speisen zu günstigen Preisen, Bedienung sowie Restaurant selbst sehr gut 👍 und weiter zu empfehlen.
