Masaya Restaurant in Berlin

Really very authentic Lebanese restaurant near Nollendorfplatz. Service was friendly, but as a one man show it was a bit overwhelmed with few tables occupied. The ambience is... well... seems cheap and somehow not nice. But the food was really great and authentic.

Starters very tasty, main course and dessert certainly need improvement.

Grilled food for 5 people is ridiculous and only for 2 people and is not charcoal and the waiter was walking next to us every minute and looked at us funny so the food was unfortunately not tasty and expensive and if you pay and what is left whether 5 or 10 € If the waiter takes it as a tip even though you don't say anything, the homeless don't do that 🤬مو نصيحة هالمطعم ابدا

We ended up here by chance the other day. And the salad I had was one of the best I've had in a long time. Everything seemed clean. The waiter was super professional and had a sense of humor. The ambience could be a little more special or modern, so a point is deducted.

The service was incredibly great and nice! I have celiac disease and therefore have to eat a strict gluten-free diet! They specially bought a new pan and the boss cooked himself! I had the salmon and it was absolutely delicious and the portion was huge! Absolute heartfelt recommendation

We were at Masaya on a Tuesday evening and still had reservations for lunch. The restaurant was also relatively full and we were happy to have made a reservation. The ambience is simple and tastefully decorated. The welcome from the owner (presumably) was warm and professional. For dinner there were various different main dishes and hummus with bread. Everything was very tasty and authentic. Great taste, dishes came to the table hot. The desserts were also very good. We ordered a Lebanese red wine with our meal, which went very well. I spoke for a few minutes with the (presumably) father of the owner, who pointed out that all the dishes were authentic and the desserts were prepared daily by his wife. We were thrilled and wanted to make a reservation for the next day if Berlin didn't have so much to offer. Overall a great experience. Professional, warm, authentic. We'd love to come back when we're nearby. Absolute recommendation!

If i could give more than 5 stars i would!!! We found this place whilst our stay in Berlin in December and wow what a beautiful hidden gem. The portion sizes were huge and Nichola was such a great waiter, he could not of done more. Would defo recommend to friends and family and will certainly be visitng next time we stay in Berlin ☺️

Tons of delicious options for vegans.

I've eaten Lebanese many times so I knew what to expect but I was not prepared for how high quality this restaurant is. The food is truly incredibly delicious and is served in significantly sized portions. The decor and setting is to a high standard. The staff were extremely welcoming and competent. I wouldn't hesitate to return. This is a must-try restaurant in Berlin.

Really great food at a fair price with very good service!

I went here with my colleagues for dinner. It was a sudden plan and we decided to go here looking at the good reviews. But we were not disappointed, they amazing food. It's best to go here in group as they have huge platters that can be shared. Starting from starters, main course and dessert, everything we loved. They had different varieties of spread which were all different in taste. The environment was great and well and the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to you.

Very, very tasty food! The platter for two people was plentiful and there was even a dessert plate. The kitchen attaches great importance to its own production and fresh preparation, which you can taste. The staff was super friendly, and the chef himself came to check if everything was OK. the food and wine were tasteless! we couldn't finish our meal even though we were hungry. the service was slow, we waited 10 minutes for the waiter to take our order, 40 minutes for the food and another 15 minutes trying to catch the waiter's eye so he would bring the bill

Very nice restaurant in a car-free zone. The outdoor terrace is simply great when the weather is nice. The food met our expectations. The service responds to your wishes. Gladly again.

Excellent and authentic Lebanese food.

The reception is very wonderful. A respectable, polite Moroccan young man. I liked the food very much, the amount of food was plentiful and delicious. Lebanese appetizers that are beyond description for me. The most amazing seafood dish. Followed by the unparalleled Lebanese desserts dish. The owner of the restaurant, Mr. Haitham, is very kind and generous to us with his hospitality and kindness. I highly recommend it.

The service was a total catastrophy, we waited 1 hour to get our starters (cold ones) : Tabouleh salad, hummus and babaganoush, they tasted good but it doesnt take 60mns to prepare that, and 2 reminders about our order (6 people), in a quasi empty restaurant. Another 20mns latter we finally got the warm meat dishes... they made a gesture by putting another dish free of charge, but that dont compensate. The waitress was friendly, however to wait at a table 1 hour to get food in an almost empty restaurant is something we will remember for a long time

The hosts are friendly, the garden offers a natural shadow, but the food does not impress and is overpriced compared to many restaurants in Berlin. Can not recommend it.

If you want to experience authentic and good Lebanese cuisine, this is the right place. The food, the friendly service and the ambience are top. The restaurant owner was also very friendly and accommodating. I have a clear recommendation.

Ate a main course and many starters, everything was very tasty and the service was great. You have to try the milk cream for dessert

NEVER AGAIN!!!Sunday 11.08.24 in the early evening! The two of us ordered the menu twice with the 6 starter bowls on the almost empty terrace! The colleague understood almost nothing, but that wasn't a problem since my companion was a GERMAN MOROCCAN and spoke Arabic! The 6 starters were put down without any further explanation and the cutlery came later! The starters were very good, but the main course, 3 types of meat described, was almost inedible, tough as rubber, dry and completely tasteless! The “bells and whistles” of side dishes were the USUAL like in every Arabic or Turkish establishment…….! It's a shame, because I've experienced Lebanese cuisine in a completely different way! The flatbread was on the same level…..! Since no one was at the table for a long time, we put all the dishes with the inedible meat on the neighboring tables ourselves, we were the only guests....! No coffee (which was surprisingly good) "on the house" helped, the evening meal was a waste and a waste of time (and of course the money 2 menu + 3 small beers approx. 85 €) NEVER AGAIN ! J. Ate mezze. Half of the dishes were fine to tasty, but the muhammara tasted mainly of spicy paprika powder and the baba ganoesh was not tasty. The tablecloth was still dirty (old rice grains and stains) and on Saturday evening almost the entire restaurant was empty. I don't understand the five stars of the previous reviews.

Hatte im August 2024 meinen zweiten Besuch hier. Essen und Service absolute Spitze. Nicht etwas für jeden Abend rein preislich gesehen, aber definitiv eine super Adresse für lebanesische Küche in Berlin. Absolute Empfehlung!

How do you calculate table number 30? 35 euros. I was a student and I had an Arabic shawarma for 10 euros. It is reasonable. 3 drinks of Sprite, a small size, are 25 euros. What is it? Is it a fraud?

The food and salad were amazing, and the staff were really friendly and nice. The atmosphere is very pleasant, especially the outside area. It did take a bit too long to receive our food and get the staff's attention, but they apologized for that. Overall, I still highly recommend this restaurant.

Many thanks to the Masaya team for our beautiful wedding celebration! The food was super delicious, from starter to main course! Everything was taken care of and no wishes were left unfulfilled. We visited Masaya in February and it's definitely been one of my favourite restaurant experiences - ever. The food was great (+ those portion sizes for such a reasonable price, how?!) and service was impeccable. We can't wait to come back!

Exceptionally delicious food - very fresh and decent portions.

The food was good with large portion sizes, but the service was very slow. It took 1 hour for the appetizers to arrive. The outdoor terrace is nice in good weather.

Amazing food and ambience. Only issue was slow service. It took around an hour to get our order. Once the food came in, it was all good but should improve the service.

We went on an excursion to Berlin and were very impressed by various international cuisines. Yesterday evening it was Lebanon's turn with its diversity, thank you, I'll be happy to do it again when we go on another excursion. It's great that you spontaneously organized space for 15 people.

Very good food, very friendly service! The way to your heart is through your stomach: you must try Kharouf Mehshi!!! Family-run restaurant! You can tell that fresh ingredients are used and that the chef puts a lot of effort into the cuisine and also serves a culinary journey to Lebanon on the plate. Amazing find while wandering around Berlin. Order the fixed plate options, but don't eat lunch beforehand, they have great serving sizes! Food variety and presentation was wonderful. Would definitely recommend! Even was allowed to take a to go bag for my leftovers.

Really good mezze and authentic Libanese food.

This meal doesn't do Lebanese cuisine justice in any way, it was just boring, carelessly served (not even a slice of lemon for decoration) and bland in taste. And also very expensive. We had 2 different Lebanese red wines, both cost almost 10€ for 0.2L and both were not tasty at all. Conclusion: A completely overpriced restaurant in a beautiful location. So it was no wonder that there were only two other tables occupied besides us at the best time of meal.

Visited this place twice in one week. There may be some hip places in Berlin with similar cuisine, however Masaya beats them all in quality of food. Their falafel is the best I've had so far. Superb food, and great Lebanese wines as well. Try the Arak as well! The people working there are also super friendly.

We had a really wonderful evening. The tables were beautifully set and the service was courteous and very helpful. We chose a suggested menu with a variation of 10 starters, a meat platter and dessert and were thrilled with the selection we got. We probably wouldn't have chosen a lot of it ourselves, but everything tasted excellent. I have rarely eaten such good lamb.

The service in the restaurant was prompt and courteous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

A nice restaurant with a good selection of food. Unfortunately, special requests, such as a mixed starter plate, could not be ordered. Can only be ordered individually. Otherwise everything was very tasty and the service was good too.
