Es war so unglaublich lecker!! Wir hoffen, dass sich das Mikrokosmos noch lange hält, weil man für den Preis (50/55€ für ein 4-Gänge-Menü) selten so hochwertige Qualität bekommt.😍Danke für den liebevollen Service, wir haben den Abend sehr genossen!

Endlich ein Gourmetrestaurant, das saisonale und regionale Aromen mit Insekten (Heuschrecken, Mehlwürmer usw.) zu einem köstlichen Knuspererlebnis kombiniert – ganz zu schweigen von der Präsentation und dem Service. Wir haben die vier Vorspeisen, die wir uns teilten, den Hauptgang und die Desserts sehr genossen. Dem ist nichts hinzuzufügen, oder besser gesagt, nur eines: Vielen Dank und weiter so! Ein Savoyer, der gutes Essen zu schätzen weiß.

Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants in der Stadt. Diego ist ein überaus kreativer Koch. Wir waren schon zu verschiedenen Jahreszeiten dort und er überrascht uns immer wieder mit komplexen Aromen und raffinierten Kombinationen sowie Zutaten von herausragender Qualität. Er und seine Frau Nicole machen einen Besuch im Mikrokosmos zu einem echten Erlebnis: freundliche und einladende Atmosphäre, eine sorgfältig zusammengestellte Speisekarte und Leidenschaft in allem, was sie tun.

Wow!!!! Mikrokosmos ist einfach außergewöhnlich! Nicht nur das beste peruanische Restaurant, sondern eines der besten der ganzen Stadt. Wenn du ein Feinschmecker bist und die Geheimnisse der peruanischen Küche kennst, solltest du dieses Restaurant unbedingt besuchen. Ich kann gar nicht sagen, welches Gericht mein Favorit war, denn es war ein einziger kulinarischer Höhepunkt, der alle Sinne mit seinen nuancierten und delikaten Aromen verwöhnte. Das Essen ist so wunderschön, farbenfroh, lebendig und nahrhaft, dass ich das Restaurant in einem euphorischen Zustand verließ. Hinzu kommt das gemütliche und stimmungsvolle Ambiente. Man fühlt sich wie in einem liebevoll eingerichteten Zuhause. Der Service ist sogar noch herzlicher, Nicole (die Inhaberin) begrüßt einen persönlich und behandelt einen wie einen alten Freund. Ich bereue nur, nicht schon früher dort gewesen zu sein, aber zum Glück wechselt die Speisekarte monatlich, sodass ich das Restaurant definitiv in meine Restaurantliste aufnehmen werde.

Eine sehr interessante Speisekarte und wirklich leckeres Essen. Ich persönlich bin kein großer Fan von zitronig-sauren Aromen und war daher etwas enttäuscht, aber das Fleisch war perfekt zubereitet und auch die Aromen waren sehr gut und komplex. Ich hatte die Garnelen mit Gazpacho und Hähnchen, die perfekt gegart waren. Auch die Cocktails waren sehr lecker und das Personal überaus freundlich.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen und Service. Wir haben das Insektenmenü gewählt und es war hervorragend. Wir kommen jederzeit wieder!

Wunderschönes Erlebnis. Wir waren zu dritt und haben alle Gerichte auf dem Insekten Menü bestellt und geteilt. War perfekt. Wunderschön angerichtet, tolle Kombinationen und alles war einfach wahnsinnig lecker. Leichte Schärfe in einigen Gericht war angenehm und gab nochmal einen besonderen twist. Wir waren uns einig dass die knusprigen Insekten ein geniales topping für jedes Gericht waren. Genial und damit ein ziemlich besonderer Ort. Auch durch die Menschen, die diesen Ort gestalten und mit so viel Liebe zum detail und zum gast ein tolles Erlebnis gestalten. 100% Empfehlung und jetzt im sommer wunderbar, um im grünen draußen zu sitzen und die langen Tage zu genießen.

Was für ein Juwel! Die Liebe zum Detail ist einfach außergewöhnlich, und jeder Bissen ist ein aufregendes und abenteuerliches Erlebnis, während die Atmosphäre so herzlich und unprätentiös ist. Wenn du abenteuerlustig bist, kann ich dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Das Essen ist nicht nur fantastisch, sondern auch der Service ist immer hervorragend und die Atmosphäre total entspannt und angenehm. Man fühlt sich wie in einem gemütlichen Zuhause. Sehr warm und einladend. Alle Gerichte haben einen peruanischen Touch, und wer keine Insekten möchte, kann diese auch abbestellen.

Ein wirklich wundervolles Restaurant, in dem jeder Gang des sehr preiswerten Vier-Gänge-Menüs mit seinen einzelnen Zutaten eine Offenbarung war – überraschende Aromen, die perfekt harmonierten. Wir hatten Aguachile, Trüffelei, Kaninchenschulter und Ceviche als Vorspeisen, saisonalen Fisch vom Pilpil und ein halbes Maishuhn als Hauptgang sowie zwei Tarte Tatin zum Dessert, die einen wunderbaren Abend perfekt abrundeten. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Weinauswahl ist hervorragend, und für Mutige gibt es sogar Gerichte mit EU-zertifizierten Speiseinsekten (das werden wir beim nächsten Mal unbedingt probieren). Mikrokosmos ist ein echter Geheimtipp in Berlin und absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir sind zufällig vorbeigekommen und haben dieses Restaurant entdeckt – und ich muss sagen, es ist bisher eines der besten Restaurants in Berlin. Der Service ist wirklich gut und das gesamte Erlebnis war hervorragend. Ich empfehle das Degustationsmenü, damit man sich seine perfekte Kombination zusammenstellen kann.

Schon lange hat mich ein Restaurant in Berlin nicht mehr so begeistert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich unglaublich, der Service ist perfekt, und dieser Ort hat eine ganz besondere Seele. Man spürt sofort, dass hier mit viel Herz gearbeitet wird. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Was für ein schöner Ort für ein wirklich köstliches Abendessen! Schon das Interieur ist bezaubernd, und unsere Gastgeberin Nadine nahm uns mit auf eine faszinierende Geschmacksreise durch die verschiedensten Geschmäcker, ob vegetarisch oder omnivor. Die Heuschrecken-Spezialitäten waren genauso fantastisch wie die klassischen Gerichte: Wir hatten Rote Bete mit Radicchio als Vorspeise und Fisch und Schweinefleisch als Hauptgang – alles in Michelin-Sternequalität und perfekt zubereitet. Ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und sollten zum Abschluss unbedingt den Mezcal probieren – es lohnt sich!

Wir hatten ein Menü, gemischt mit und ohne Insekten. Alles war sehr gut. Besonders das Insekten Frito Mistro war richtig lecker. Ambiente hat uns gut gefallen und die Bedienung hat uns gut beraten.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit sehr guter Küche und nettem Service. Unser Highlight war, dass wirklich alle Gerichte sehr gut abgeschmeckt waren - ein tolles Verhältnis von Säure, Salz und Schärfe. Auch auf eine Allergie wurde sehr verständnisvoll eingegangen. Die Insektengerichte haben uns gut geschmeckt. Einziges Manko war, dass ich es recht kalt fand.

Unser Besuch im Restaurant Mikrokosmos war heute schlichtweg wundervoll! Ein Ort, an dem man sofort spürt, wie viel Herz, Haltung und Kreativität hier zusammenkommen. Die peruanisch inspirierte Küche, von ají amarillo und ceviche bis zu raffinierten nikkei-Anklängen, wird meisterhaft geführt von einem peruanischen Küchenchef und verbindet sich auf faszinierende Weise mit italienischer Gastfreundlichkeit der Chefin: warm, aufmerksam und mit einer lässigen sprezzatura, die jeden Moment natürlich und mühelos wirken lässt. Jeder Gang war eine kleine Entdeckungsreise: vom aromatischen pisco sour als Aperitif über eine feine causa bis hin zu überraschenden Kombinationen mit chicha morada: mutig, fein ausbalanciert und gleichzeitig harmonisch. Besonders beeindruckend ist das experimentelle, nachhaltige Konzept. Die konsequente Auseinandersetzung mit regionalen Produkten und alternativen Proteinquellen verleiht der Küche Tiefe und zeitgemäße Relevanz, ohne dabei belehrend zu wirken. Man schmeckt die Sorgfalt, die Neugier und den Respekt vor den Zutaten. Dass sich die Speisekarte ständig weiterentwickelt und saisonal orientiert ist, macht den Mikrokosmos zu einem Ort, den man immer wieder besuchen möchte, ein Platz, an dem man sitzen bleibt, plaudert (und, wenn das Menü lockt, vielleicht nach dem opulenten Menü kurz dem berühmten italienischen abbiocco nachgibt). Die Begleitung durch das Team ist präsent und kompetent; kleine, liebevolle Details (und ja: auch das Glas hinterlässt gelegentlich einen charmanten culaccino auf dem Tisch) runden das Erlebnis ab. Leckeres und ganz besonderes Essen. Tolle Atmosphäre. Unbedingt ausprobieren! Ich habe erzählt, dass meine Freundin Geburtstag hat, und der Tisch war schon vorher total süß dekoriert.

Wir waren total begeistert. Das Essen war toll. Es schmeckte alles hervorragend. Wir haben das erste Mal Insekten gegessen und würden es jederzeit nochmal dort machen. Der Service war auch super. Sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und das Ambiente ist toll, sehr gemütlich.

The service and atmosphere here are great. The food unfortunately was not up to the price point. While I appreciate the concept and sustainable food, the dishes themselves were average.

A fantastic experience. Our hostess was wonderful; she explained everything in detail and patiently answered all our questions. When I realized I couldn't tolerate spice, she brought me a sample of the chili sauce without me even asking – excellent service! We started cautiously with the fried appetizers (grasshoppers, crickets, and mealworms) and then enthusiastically ventured into the main courses, culminating in the divine apple tart with caramelized buffalo worms. Give it a try; it tastes amazing and is a truly wonderful experience.

Nice idea, and the insects were interesting. We had the tasting menu. Unfortunately, most of the dishes (especially the sauces) were really too salty and didn't quite work together as a whole. A real shame. Reply to the comment below: It's not about the intensity of the flavor, but rather the very salty food, which made us feel quite unwell afterward (and that has nothing to do with the insects; the chef was probably just too enamored and confused). I find it dismissive to say that.

Visited yesterday on the 17th of Juli 2025. The restaurant was not crowded, had a good atmosphere and the staff were nice. We had never tried eating insects before and actually found it to be pretty good. It just tasted salty and crisp, like chips. However the dishes (especially the main dishes) themselves we were not a fan of. It was a mix of many strong flavours, that were too much (strong sour, hot and bitter at the same time). I think there could be much potential in your insect concept and expanding the idea to the public. But I think it would require, that you make some more neutral / common dishes. Like stews, insect bolognese (like the one you had displayed), pizzaslice / foccacia with cheese, tomato and insects as topping, insects with different dips and fries, etc. You could also serve a small appetizer for the table with only fried insects and dip. That could be a nice way to start. :)

Mikrokosmos. Macro-awesome. Highly recommended: starters, main courses, desserts – the two of us enjoyed almost the entire menu, each with two different starters, main courses, and desserts. Plus an aperitif and house wine. Hallelujah! Insects are optional, but a treat is guaranteed. You don't really want to praise Mikrokosmos so loudly, so it remains an insider tip. Pssst!

A place like something out of a fairytale, enchantingly magical, and Berlin-perfect in its imperfection. The small but exquisite menu offers Peruvian-influenced dishes made with select regional produce, far removed from the ordinary. The flavors explode in the mouth and harmonize perfectly with the natural wines. The cuisine is worthy of a star, and at a reasonable price.

Initially, the service was very nice... Unfortunately, one dish was too salty for us to eat and not very tasty all together (aspargus with pumpkin creme), we left it aside. No compensation from the house, not even a shot at the end (which cost the house little to nothing)... I know gastronomy is a real hard tough business but maybe just make a lil bit of an effort when you see a guest doesn't like something from your menue. I Won't return. Wow. I've rarely been so overwhelmed by the taste of a meal in Berlin lately. The prices are very reasonable for the quality, the service was excellent and the ambience fits the overall package.

Well, what can I say. This is a beautiful experience, from the start to the very end. Genuine service, kind and knowledgeable. The food experience is above and beyond, with or without insects. Well made, and with respect to the ingredients. Get some natural wine too, and ask for recommendations. The owner knows her wines. And the atmosphere… filled with thought provoking art and soft music. And I’m not someone that leaves Google reviews. I’m also not someone that exaggerates my experience. Congratulations on such a beautiful project. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Amazing restaurant. Peruvian fusion (which could be better) with zero KM products. Vegan ceviche, mussels, the incredible paro, delicious mezcal sour and problemo one of the dishes with insects. Brutal!. The best of Berlin.

We were told the food was good, so we had to try it. But it was the greatest surprise to have enjoyed one of the best meals ever. Everything we had was spectacular. We’ve learn the dishes change very often so that makes a great excuse to keep coming back and keep being surprised. Also the service was delightful

We had a blast. We were a bit worried that the insects might be a gimmick, but it was refreshing to see the chef thoughtfully incorporating them into the dishes. Now to the food. There was not a single dish we had where there was something to complain about. Everything that came out was excellent. It was also nice to see the chef being bold enough to add more spice than you would typically expect from an upscale restaurant. For me, the deer was probably the highlight—seeing game combined with South American flavors was a great touch. The insect fritters were amazing as well. While dill isn’t my favorite herb, the aioli and chili sauce balanced it out beautifully. The fried herb itself was very well executed. The mussels with the tiger milk were another standout, with a deep umami flavor that made the dish really memorable. And the tostada was awesome. I was initially concerned that the corn flavor of the tostada might get overshadowed by all the spices, but it held up really well. Honestly, I’m surprised this restaurant isn’t receiving more recognition. The food, flavors, and execution were on par with some of the best dining experiences I’ve had. It was a wonderful and super fun experience, and it’s been a while since I left a restaurant feeling this satisfied with the food.

Yep, we did eat the insects and they were a delicacy - alongside very creative dishes with high-quality ingredients! In 5 weeks, when there’s a new menu, I’m there again. For sure. The restaurant looks inconspicuous from the outside, but a pure taste experience awaits you inside. We ate up and down the menu and were more than impressed. The craft beers, from a small local craft beer brewery, are also amazing. In addition, packaged, fried worms are offered to give relatives and friends a little culinary trip.

Outstanding Peruvian food, with or without insects

If you want to try really excellent food Mikrokosmos is the perfect place. The menu is very varied, there are dishes made with fresh, seasonal and harvested ingredients from the region. The menu includes some dishes with insects but it is not the only thing, there is much more variety, for all palates. And the flavor is truly spectacular: the chef knows how to create combinations of original and tasty ingredients. And by the way, the portions are spectacular ;) you leave very satisfied ;) oh the ceviche is incredible and the service unbeatable!!!

An explosion of taste buds in a multilingual, family company. Incredibly tasty and sensually prepared. Anyone who has seen the film Ratatouille and wondered what the little rat was trying to express when he spoke of an explosion of the senses must definitely eat here to experience it. Should not be missing as an experience in any human life.

We really had a wonderful meal here. The service was consistently friendly and explained each course again. We had the menu mainly with insects. Every course was a pleasure. The best were the caramelized grasshoppers and the tart at night (which we consider to be among the top 5 desserts we have ever eaten). We would love to come back, keep it up.

One of our favorite restaurants in Berlin. The unique and vibrant flavors are on a world class level. It is only a matter of time until chef Diego Castro gets recognized by the top restaurants lists. Berlin needs more chefs like Diego. His modern twists on traditional Peruvian and Mexican dishes are amazing. His mastery of flavors is evident in every dish. One added note....do not ignore this restaurant if you are not ready to try the insect dishes. They have an insect experience menu and a separate menu without the insects. We went several times before we ventured into trying some dishes from the insect menu. We have ventured into the insect experience menu our last few times and have been wowed by dishes on both menus. Diego's partner Nicol is great at answering questions and making you feel comfortable to try some dishes from the insect menu when you are ready, without any pressure. But again, you will have an amazing dining experience regardless of which menu you order from. We get excited every time we make a booking to go to Mikrokosmos and would highly recommend it. They also have an excellent Pisco Sour!

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin! The food is excellent, they have great wines and Nicole is spoiling everyone with amazing service. Don’t hesitate to try the addition of the bugs! Simply delicious!!!

A truly unique dining experience! This restaurant offers sustainable contemporary cuisine, featuring an innovative insect menu that I highly recommend trying. The staff is incredibly welcoming, especially the owner, who was not only friendly and polite but also took the time to explain the concept in detail. If you’re looking for something new and eco-conscious, this is the place to be!

I saw Vagnato's video. I'm coming for a trip to Berlin to eat some insects. Is there only fried food or are there other types of cooking?

Fried insects are crunchy. But overall, the portions in this store are on the small side.

Insanely delicious food, great service and an extraordinary concept with only regional ingredients, which offers a menu in a class of its own for those who like to experiment and those who don't! Great recommendation!
