Very generous portions. Rice, lamb and the dumplings are highly recommended. You have the option to eat sitting on a chair or crouching on a carpet.

Top place with great food!! I always bring new colleagues and friends and introduce them to the wonderful Afghani Cuisine! And hopefully when person is not vegan or vegetarian.. they can try out the Kabili Pulao. 🙌🏻 A must have.

We were out enjoying the city and geocaching around town. We were starving and began looking for a place to eat. We came across the sign on the sidewalk for Masa. We walked down the alley to find the restaurant way in the back. We sat and began examining the menu. We made our decisions and ordered. We all tasted each other’s food then there was an argument at the table as to which plate was the best. The service was also great, our server Aiyou was fantastic and very attentive.

One of the few restaurants in the city that I can really recommend. I've been here twice with a group, where we ordered a variety of dishes, and everyone was extremely satisfied. Everything tasted fresh and was very well combined. Large vegetarian selection. More than fair value for money. And lastly, you get the impression that it is a restaurant that really has love and passion for food as its motivation.

The food was very, very little – I have never expected so little! It really surprised me at such high prices. I recommend my fellow Afghans not to visit this restaurant!

Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for our food. When we asked politely, we were told that we weren't at McDonalds. I haven't had to wait anywhere for over an hour. The drinks also took forever. Food itself was delicious.

Nice ambience, you can even sit on cushions and eat at small tables like the locals. The service was super fast and friendly too. The food also came very quickly and tasted absolutely delicious.

I went out to dinner with my friends and we ordered leaf dinners for six people to surprise us. The food was not only far too little, but also extremely uncreative. Unfortunately, I blindly trusted the innkeepers and paid a high bill. After checking closely, we were shocked to see that many extras were charged. For example, we were charged for two plates of lamb chops even though we only got one (23 euros). Likewise, we only received one chicken goulash but paid for two (2 x 21 euros). Never go to these scammers again!

Ich war mit meinen Freunden essen, und wir haben ein Blätteressen für sechs Personen bestellt, um uns überraschen zu lassen. Das Essen war nicht nur viel zu wenig, sondern auch extrem unkreativ. Leider habe ich den Wirtsleuten blind vertraut und eine hohe Rechnung bezahlt. Nach genauer Kontrolle waren wir schockiert, dass viele Extras berechnet wurden. Zum Beispiel wurden uns zwei Teller Lammkoteletts in Rechnung gestellt, obwohl wir nur einen bekommen haben (23 Euro). Ebenso haben wir nur ein Hühnergulasch erhalten, aber für zwei bezahlt (2 x 21 Euro). Nie wieder zu diesen Betrügern!

I've been there twice, it used to be a really great restaurant.

We sat outside in nice weather. The service was very nice and took good care of us. Except sometimes a glass or something similar was forgotten and you had to remember again, but that wasn't a big deal. The food was good enough in portions but the taste was not to my liking. But that was just my feeling. Otherwise a very cozy restaurant. Invitingly furnished.

Masa has been my absolute favorite restaurant for over 20 years. Whenever I'm in Hanover, it's an absolute must to go there. The Afghan food tastes 100% “like my mother’s” and just as I, as an Afghan, know it from home. Anyone who wants to taste authentic Afghan cuisine should definitely go. The prices are decent and absolutely fair. If I could, I would give it 10 stars! Thank you, dear Masa team, for giving me back a piece of my childhood through you!

Wir haben uns auf Empfehlung des Hauses vegetarische Platten zusammenstellen lassen. Das war ok, aber nicht richtig gut. Der Sekt war abgestanden, wurde nach Reklamation aber direkt umgetauscht. Wir haben draußen im Hof gesessen, das war so semi-gemütlich. Drinnen sah es nicht besser aus. Es war ok, aber zum Wiederkommen reicht es nicht.

Nice restaurant - it's definitely worth coming early to get a nice table outside. Except for the dessert, the food was really great - next time we would like the rice pudding as a smaller portion and without the spray cream and ready-made chocolate sauce. Staff really super friendly.

Das Essen war sehr lecker! Die drinks waren sehr gut. Super Service und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett. Meiner Meinung nach ist das einer der besten Restaurants in dem ich war. Die Preise sind hervorragend und die deko ist sehr schön. Meine freundin und ich saßen am Podest und es war sehr gemütlich. Ich empfehle es sehr!

On the last day of school we went to “Masa”, a charming Afghan restaurant with an inviting outdoor area and friendly service. After our usual meeting point changed its opening times, “Masa” offered a welcome alternative. I chose kofta with tomato sauce and yogurt with rice for 10.90 euros from the lunch menu. The kofta were tasty, although I would have liked a little more sauce and yogurt and a little less rice. The rice was perfectly cooked, although the description “white baked” on the menu was initially confusing. My companion enjoyed the mantu, Afghan dumplings, and a vegetable soup with noodles and yogurt, which he ordered as “Asha”. He also praised the leg of lamb with brown baked rice and raisins. My drink, a Berliner Weisse, was exactly what I expected. The dessert, “Ferni”, an Afghan pudding with almond slivers for 6.90 euros, was also a creamy, slightly exotically spiced dream. I'm looking forward to new adventures and further visits to "Masa", which will certainly follow. A recommended restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Afghan cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere.”

Very nice restaurant. Very rarely have I found a kitchen that reflects my homeland in such a way. The food tasted excellent and was well priced. You don't even need to talk about the aesthetic ambience - it's very nice, you get the feeling of being at home. Would recommend every Afghan or anyone interested in eating there. Very nice💝

I was really looking forward to visiting here and we wanted to try something new on our wedding day. At first glance it was a beautiful courtyard and I also found the restaurant to be very cozy and appealing. Unfortunately, this positive impression was not confirmed by either the food or the service. The waiter was very wooden and a bit confused, but still friendly. However, I was very disappointed with my meal; I had ordered a vegetarian dish, mushrooms with salad and homemade bread. The mushrooms were hardly seasoned, the salad was a mixed salad from a package (like you get in the supermarket) and the dressing also tasted very much like ready-made dressing. My bread was completely forgotten at the beginning, but it couldn't save the whole thing. It's a real shame, but we probably won't come again.

WOW! Unfassbar (my word of the day!) !!! Just spent a couple of hours in Hannover and looked a place to eat and this turned out to be THE PLACE! We tried Makkaroni, Dogh, Daal, a traditional Afghan stew and salad with dolmas. Highly recommended to anyone passing by Hannover Mitte or even locals if they haven't tried it yet. Coming back soon for sure! 😃🙌🏽

The atmosphere is nice, Afghan style, with seats to sit on the carpet. The a la carte Vorspeisen snacks all tasted good, but Palau's lamb leg was a bit dry. But what I can’t understand the most is the bill we finally received! There were eight of us in total. Three of us ordered the Palau lamb leg rice for 18.9 euros. The remaining five each ordered a separate plate of rice, and then told the waiter that they wanted to order separate snacks and put them on a big plate that can be shared by everyone. inside (pictured). But I didn’t expect that if I ordered rice alone, it would cost 14.9! ! This is just a plate of rice without any side dishes. The rice with lamb leg and side dishes is only 18.9, but a separate plate of rice costs 14.9. I think it is really too much. . . (Don’t ask me why I didn’t raise an objection at the time. My friend was very nervous and left after paying the money. It took a few days before he realized something was wrong.)

Great, slightly hidden restaurant. We haven't been able to do anything with Afghan cuisine until now - but we're now thrilled. Fresh, spicy and delicious. A waitress initially forgot our order, which was then quickly compensated for by another waiter. If you want to try something new, this is definitely the right place for you! Would love to come back.

I always enjoy eating at Masa. Everything is simply delicious. We usually order rice with several small things. These are served on a large platter so everyone can try everything. The drinks are also delicious. After dinner there is always a cocktail. Sometimes the service is a bit slow and it takes a while before you can place your order or receive your drinks. But the food is great. Especially the hummus. The beautiful outdoor terrace is green and invites you to eat. There are also places inside where you can sit on the floor and eat in a traditional way.

The restaurant is somewhat hidden on Georgstrasse. It was pretty full but we still managed to get a seat. You feel comfortable there. However, it took a long time for a service person to take our order. We were overlooked before. We had to make ourselves noticed. But the food was very tasty and very cheap. The rest of the service was also okay.

Wir gehen seit vielen Jahren hier zum Mittagessen, die Qualität ist geblieben aber leider wird die Kabili Lammkeule immer kleiner. Freundlichkeit wie immer, auch wenn man merkt das seit vielen Jahren der Zwang von außerhalb auf einmal zum Verschleiern geführt hat. Eine schöne Gaststätte die man mal besuchen sollte.

Доброго дня! Були в вашому закладі минулими вихідними. Провели гарно час. Їжа була смачна,гарно сервірована. Ми з подругами сиділи за столиком у зручних кріслах,але була можливість сидіти на килимі. Офіціант допомогла нам з вибором страви і ми залишилися задоволені. Також хочу відмітити,що влітку відкритий майданчик засаджений кущами троянд і прикрашений різнокольоровими ліхтариками,гадаю там дуже красиво. Офіціанти часто підходили,перепитували, чи все добре. Сподобалось,що за гостями дуже ретельно прибирають,для того ,щоб нові гості сіли за чистий стіл. Вечір п'ятниці заклад був повний. Ми замовили велику порцію їжі на чотирьох,двічі неалкогольний коктейль,алкогольний коктейль,чотири келихи вина,дві порції смачного шоколадного тортика,каву і все це обійшлося 105€. Вважаю,це норм ціна Дякуємо

Ich war bereits zum dritten Mal im „Masa“. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker, die Portionen reichlich. Wer möchte, kann sich die Schuhe ausziehen und auf den Orient-Teppichen im Schneidersitz vor einem flachen Tisch Platz nehmen - Dies sollte man am Wochenende jedoch unbedingt vorab reservieren. Einen Punkt Abzug, da das Servicepersonal etwas aufgeweckter sein könnte… dies tut der Sache aber keinen Abbruch. Ich würde meinen Freunden dieses Restaurant als etwas besonderes empfehlen und komme sehr gerne wieder. PS: Zum Essen unbedingt ein Schälchen von der scharfen, grünen Soße mitbestellen 😉

Afghane hier. Das Essen ist superduper und der Service schnell und aufmerksam. Die Cocktails sind auch nicht schlecht. Ich habe noch nie im Leben eine Person getroffen, der Qabeli nicht schmeckt. Wer mal da war, kommt wieder 😋

Das Masa ist eine Oase in der Innenstadt! Ich liebe es dort zu essen! Es schmeckt gut und ist preislich in einem guten Rahmen. Im Sommer kann man in dem schönen Innenhof sitzen und drinnen gibt es reichlich Platz auch für größere Runden. Außerdem kann man in einer Ecke auf dem Boden sitzen. Man sollte aber abends besser reservieren.

Wer mag afghanisches Essen? Dann solltet Ihr dieses Restaurant ausprobieren. Lecker gewürzt und essbar. Womit ich meine, dass es nicht übermäßig scharf ist. Der europäische Magen kann ja meist nicht so viel ab. Bei Wunsch gibt es aber die Möglichkeit nachzuschärfen. Das Restaurant hat gewöhnliche Sitzplätze, jedoch auch einen Bereich, wo su auf dem Teppich sitzen speisen kannst. Auch für einen Drink am Abend lohnt sich das Restaurant mit leckeren Cocktails. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wir hatten einen Kleinigkeitenteller.

Schade als jahrelanger Stammgast bin ich anderes gewohnt. Heute kabili zum mitnehmen geholt zuhause kam die Überraschung. Die Portionen waren früher liebevoller, mehr Rosinen und mehr Reis.

Teigtaschen geschmacklos, Salat geschmacklos, Kräuterquark geschmacklos. Würzt man in Afghanistan nicht ? Gutschein wurde nicht anerkannt da wir keine 2 Hauptgerichte hatten. 1 Suppe, 2 kleine Gerichte, 1 Quark, 2 Tee, ein Cocktail (Happy Hour) 1 Aperol Spritz 52,40€. Also eher nicht günstig. Bedienung hat uns nicht verstanden. Mussten auf der Karte zeigen was wir wollten. Zum Cocktail auf den Fläche rechts hinfläzen ganz nett aber das Essen ist nix für mich.
