Super leckeres Essen und eine tolle Atmosphäre! Ein besonderes Lob an den Kellner mit der Brille und den schwarzen Haaren – er war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und hat uns einen erstklassigen Service geboten. So einen netten Kellner erlebt man selten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir waren heute das erste Mal da,das Essen war super. Die Preise okay. Das Personal ist allerdings mit Freundlichkeit sehr zurückhaltend. Deshalb auch nur vier Sterne.

Kubide hat wie Gummi geschmeckt . Da war ein junger Kellner mit Brille und schwarzen Haaren der die Bestellung aufgenommen hat . Er war sehr sehr unfreundlich und unter guten Service verstehe ich was anderes .

Gutes essen, angemessene Preise, große Portionen, zuverlässig halal, sehr zu empfehlen.

Die Bestellung an sich war in Ordnung, aber ich musste zweimal nach dem Getränk fragen, bis es endlich kam. Das Chicken Tarkari war leider eine Enttäuschung: Das Fleisch war nicht richtig gebraten, sondern noch komplett roh. Auch der Salat war eine absolute Katastrophe. Zudem wurde der Tee nicht wie gewünscht nach dem Essen serviert. Das Personal war leider nicht besonders freundlich – man hat das Gefühl, die Mitarbeiter werden schlecht bezahlt oder haben einfach keine Lust zu arbeiten.“

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heute waren wir im Restaurant Balkh, Helal und sind begeistert. Die Lammspieße waren hervorragend – perfekt gegrillt, unglaublich zart und sehr aromatisch gewürzt. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit frischen Zutaten und viel Erfahrung gekocht wird. Die Kombination mit dem duftenden Basmatireis war einfach ein Genuss. Das Restaurant ist für seine Kebabs und gegrillten Fleischgerichte bekannt und wird von vielen Gästen für die authentische persisch-afghanische Küche geschätzt. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Die Portionen sind großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich top. Viele Gäste loben ebenfalls die großen Portionen und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft. Wer in Hannover authentische persische und afghanische Küche genießen möchte, sollte unbedingt vorbeischauen. Sie haben mehr mitgegeben als bestellt, alles war wunderschön dekoriert, sorgfältig verpackt und mit viel Herz hergerichtet. Gerade an einem schweren Tag wie heute bedeutet uns diese Aufmerksamkeit sehr viel. Vielen Dank für Ihre Menschlichkeit, Ihre Großzügigkeit und den hervorragenden Service.

Ich habe letztens KOBIDEH KABOB bestellt zum Hieressen, und ich habe 2 Kobideh Kabobs bekommen inklusive Basmatireis und ganzen Brot, genauso wie es sein sollte, wir haben 8 € bezahlt, guter Preis! Aber jetzt das andere, als ich danach noch KOBIDEH KABOB bestellt habe zum Mitnehmen, weil ich nicht satt war, und was bekomme ich diesmal für 8€? Ja! Nur EIN Kobideh Kabob mit halbem Brot, sonst gar nichts! Totale Abzocke! (Ich bin selbst Afghaner)

Fleisch war kaum Fleisch fast nur brot runter gemischt und hatte eine grünliche Farbe.

Wir haben heute eine qabuli ozbaki und eine kubedi kebab mit 2 Grüße Coca-Cola bestellen und da gegessen 63€50 gebezahlt, das gibt gar nicht. Nur betrug

Sehr zu empfehlen wenn jemand in die persisch/afghanische Küche ausprobieren will man muss aber etwas Geduld haben weil die frisch gemacht werden

Wir sind so lange Stammkunde bei euch und jedes Mal nehmen wir es auf uns auf ca. 40 Minuten (im Besten Fall) auf das Essen zu warten. Aber jetzt nicht mehr. Wir haben über eine Stunde gewartet und alle anderen haben vor uns ihr Essen bekommen. Das ist eine reine Katastrophe. Seit Tag 1 verbessert ihr euren Service nicht. Wir haben oft unsere ganzen Familientreffen zu euch gebracht, das machen wir jetzt definitiv nicht mehr und unseren Familienmitgliedern raten wir definitiv davon ab, nochmal hinzugehen. Geht gar nicht. Nachtrag: man hat versucht, meine Rezension zu löschen. Warum? Ich lüge nicht und das wisst ihr.

Wir haben erst kein Parkplatz gefunden und es war Sehr unhöflich räumen die Teller nichts geben uns kein Besteck und sie brauchen 40 Minuten für das Essen und es hat mir persönlich nicht geschmeckt es war auch sehr unruhig und wenn man da hin muss dann würde ich empfehlen zu reservieren würde ich nicht empfehlen

Ich war mit einem Freund dort zum Abendessen. Wir saßen drinnen und bekamen die Speisekarte super schnell! Das war echt beeindruckend! Wir bestellten dann... Ich hatte Gorme Sebzi, es war sehr lecker, frisch und warm. Die Portionen waren riesig! Meinem Freund hat sein Essen auch sehr gut geschmeckt! Wir bestellten außerdem Wasser, aber der Kellner war so beschäftigt, dass er es anscheinend vergaß. Wir mussten zweimal danach fragen. Aber er brachte es uns dann auch sehr schnell! Und entschuldigte sich sogar! Wir hatten auch schwarzen Tee, der ebenfalls sehr gut war! Ich kann dieses Restaurant absolut empfehlen, es war super!

Das war leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Das Essen war kalt, geschmacklos und wir mussten über eine Stunde warten. Der Service war unfreundlich und wir hatten das Gefühl, dass sich niemand wirklich um die Gäste kümmert. Ich werde hier definitiv nicht noch einmal essen.

Sehr sehr lecker, große Portionen und super Qualität. Wir essen seit Jahren sehr gerne hier. Die verschiedenen Reissorten sind grandios. Der Laden ist sauber und lädt zum gemütlichen Essen ein. Der Service ist freundlich und immer bemüht, auch wenn es rappelvoll ist.

Gestern haben wier hier gegessen. Meine Bestellung wurde vergessen. Lange auf die Nachbestellung gewartet. Um zu SPAREN wurde in dem Überbacken Döner viel Brotstücke verwendet statt Fleisch. Fazit nicht noch einmal.

Leider meiner Meinung nach nicht zu empfehlen… mein Geschmack war es nicht, Qualität war leider nicht meinen Vorstellungen entsprechend, das Essen hat zu lange gedauert bis es serviert wurde, als Vorspeise gab es kaltes Brot mit einem sehr Läppischen Salat… eine zweite Chance gebe ich dem Restaurant definitiv nicht mehr. Service war jedoch sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Visually, the skewers look very appetizing, but unfortunately, the taste didn't live up to my expectations. I don't want to speak ill of Iranian-Afghan cuisine, but I think my mistake was having high expectations because I was expecting something similar to Turkish kebabs.

I have never been treated so badly before. Fellow countrymen are given preferential treatment even though we were first in line. We had to wait a very long time, and the fellow countrymen received food and drinks immediately and then got up right away. NOT RECOMMENDED. No equality.

I celebrated my birthday there yesterday; it was meant to be a cozy get-together with the girls. It was a perfect evening. Everyone enjoyed the food (I even had guests who had traveled from afar), and it arrived quite quickly for nine people. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive! I've been a regular customer there for a while now and have never left disappointed. Thank you!

I was there today and it was absolutely delicious! I had a chicken skewer with rice, and it tasted really great, better than expected. The waiter was also very friendly and asked us several times if we needed anything else. A truly excellent waiter (he was a bit younger, I'd guess around 18-19 years old). We went out for dinner as a couple and sat outside in the lovely weather. The waiter brought us the menus right away, and we each chose something to eat: a Balkh plate with rice and a Sultana plate for my boyfriend. First, we received a side dish of onions and parsley, which was completely wilted and not fresh, but it wasn't a big deal; we were more excited about the main course. However, it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive, which wasn't very pleasant in the heat outside. The waiter explained the late arrival by saying there had been a large order. I ordered ayran with mint to drink, which had also gotten warm by then. A couple who arrived at the restaurant at the same time with a child had even finished eating and left before us. When paying, we mentioned our dissatisfaction, but they simply tried to appease us with an apology. The quality of service has definitely declined; they could have at least offered some compensation. That was my last visit, although I used to enjoy coming here.

Incredible food, incredibly good quality meat. We had borani with spinach and sambosa with potato filling as appetizers. We also had a mixed grill and rice with carrots and raisins. By far the best Afghan restaurant in and around Hanover.

I recently visited Balk with my wife. Unfortunately, the staff was very inattentive, so we weren't noticed for quite some time. • “We were only noticed after a significantly longer wait, which was a shame. I definitely cannot recommend it. Please, the staff should be more attentive.”

We used to come here often and were generally satisfied, but our last visit was a complete disappointment. Our food arrived surprisingly quickly, while other guests next to us, who had been sitting there for a while and had ordered exactly the same thing, received their food significantly later. My impression: We got the last leftovers, while the others got the freshly prepared portion. Our food looked exactly the same—not fresh, the meat was cold, and overall, it seemed unloved. The result was severe food poisoning, and since I hadn't eaten anything that day except breakfast, I have no doubt as to the cause. It's an absolute no-go for a restaurant to treat guests like this and obviously serve them leftovers. Subjecting customers to this is the worst thing a restaurant can do. Perhaps it's just my personal impression, but I've also observed several times that certain guests who are of the same background or similar to the staff are noticeably given preferential treatment. This is unfair, because everyone pays the same price and should receive the same quality and treatment. Very disappointing after this experience, I will definitely not eat here again and cannot recommend the place.

As a result, service was chaotic and extremely slow. The food was not of the highest quality, and to top it all off, the koabideh had an unpleasant smell. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience, and I definitely wouldn't go back.

We were there with our family and a small child, and we really liked that a waiter immediately offered us a table and brought a high chair for our child. When we were already choosing what we wanted to eat, no one wanted to see us and everyone was busy. After 20 minutes, I called the front of the restaurant, and only then was our order taken. The Afghan food is delicious and filling. But a big minus point was the fries, which were very dry and slightly burnt. The drinks also came in glasses and were warm and unfortunately inedible. It's a shame that the good service from one friendly employee is ruined by another. Even when it's busy and stressful, every guest is treated equally friendly!

A definite recommendation for those who want to try something new. Afghan cuisine is difficult to describe, as it bears no resemblance to Anatolian, Persian, or Indian cuisine. The different ways of preparing rice alone are a taste experience. The lemonade with saffron is a must-try! If you like vegetarian options, the okra is fantastic!

Two of us came to the restaurant. Although there were many free tables, they only wanted to seat us at a table right next to the kitchen. When we asked to change seats because of the smells and noise, the employee reacted rudely, simply stating that there were no tables for two people and simply walked away. This behavior was disrespectful. Even though I had invited my boyfriend, we left the restaurant because of this treatment. It was an unpleasant and embarrassing experience. Due to this lack of respect, I will not visit this restaurant again.

Anyone who loves meat and Persian cuisine should stop by here! Among the various rice varieties and kebab menus, there's something for everyone. Some dishes, though not many, are suitable for vegetarians.

The visit to Restaurant Balk was overall okay, but unfortunately without any particular highlights. The drinks were served in glasses and lacked carbonation, making them seem a bit flat. With the kubideh, it was noticeable that too much baking soda was used, which made the consistency seem slightly spongy. Anyone who has already experienced a well-prepared Adana kebab will probably be unimpressed. The mantu was also rather average in terms of taste. The salad served at the beginning and the lavash (cold and lacking in freshness) were also not convincing. Added to that was the slow service – not a big deal, but not exactly a flagship experience either. Overall, a solid, but not particularly outstanding experience. Conclusion: If you're hungry, you'll get full. If you're looking for enjoyment, you won't find it here.

On a trip through Germany, I spent a day in Hanover visiting friends, and we went to this unique restaurant. The different options offered were original, everything exquisite, the flavors, the different types of rice, and so many dishes we tried, suggested by our friend, a regular customer. The service was excellent, the prices affordable. The atmosphere was simple, very clean, and busy. I highly recommend it!

Back then, I gave it five stars. ✖️Today, unfortunately, was the complete opposite: The food was lukewarm, and some of the ingredients seemed old. Particularly irritating: Half a cold green chili was left on the plate as "decoration" – obviously cut off with a knife, either in the kitchen or (even worse) by a previous guest. This is completely unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. ✖️Even the "service bread," which was brought automatically, ended up being charged extra – completely unreasonable, even if it was only 50 cents or 1 euro. This is no way to treat regular customers, or guests in general!? I really hope something changes here. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant at the moment 😵‍💫👎

The dishes are full of flavor – the saffron rice, the tender kebab, and the ghormeh sabzi were especially delicious. Everything is freshly prepared and lovingly presented. The service was very friendly and attentive; you feel like a welcome guest, not just a customer. If you want to experience Persian cuisine of the highest quality, this is the place to go. Unfortunately, the restaurant has declined significantly since the coronavirus pandemic. Prices are now significantly higher, but the quality of the food has noticeably deteriorated – and the portions smaller. Anyone familiar with the dishes knows that the quality in Balkh isn't particularly high, but today I was particularly disappointed: I waited a very long time and received a wilted salad, stale bread, and really bad qabuli rice. It wasn't nearly what you'd expect for that price. What also disappointed me was that my complaint wasn't really addressed. They could have at least offered a small discount or an alternative. For the almost 50 euros we paid, you can definitely get better food elsewhere. I won't be coming back here for a while!

Today I ordered Qabeli with lamb through Wolt. I only received the rice and spinach. When I asked over the phone, I was not offered a replacement. Shortly after, the restaurant removed the dish from the Wolt app, making it difficult for me to get my money back. I won't eat here anymore. A tip to the owners: it is better to accept the loss when making such mistakes and replace the dish to the customer. A bad review will hurt you significantly more financially in the long run.

We visited this restaurant one month ago. The food was good. However, they do not serve any alcoholic beverages, and some of the staff were very rude and disrespectful. I do not recommend this restaurant because of the poor attitude of the personnel. Additionally, the quality of the food is not high enough for me to recommend it.

Unfortunately, my visit to Balkh Restaurant was a very disappointing experience. The location is neither nice nor comfortable, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was unpleasant - there was a strange, stuffy air that made the stay anything but pleasant. The service left a lot to be desired: the employees were rude and seemed annoyed. Our order was taken incorrectly and even though it wasn't particularly busy we had to wait over 50 minutes for our food. There was no apology. Overall, the experience at Balkh Restaurant was very negative. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it and will definitely not be coming back.

I had a very disappointing experience at Balkh Restaurant today . The food was not good—cold, or poorly prepare, and the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. It felt like they didn’t care about the customers. Overall, the service was poor, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

My husband and I went to this restaurant with the toaster and asked the employee to let it toast for a minute but they didn't allow us to go to this restaurant all the time and we bought it that day but they didn't allow us and my son was hungry so we had to go somewhere else.

The food was super delicious, I ordered chicken masala and it was a 10/10. One waiter took great care of everything (I think his name is Mojtaba) and was extremely friendly.
