Marta in München

The furnishings and ambience are really nice and have a certain fancy factor. Unfortunately, neither the ambience nor the location (a bit out of the way for Munich standards) justify the price. I find both the dishes and the drinks a bit too expensive. Our food came very quickly, but we also had an early slot at 6 p.m., later the restaurant was significantly full and we certainly have to accept longer waiting times. The food itself was good, not outstanding or extraordinary, but tasty. I would have liked less ice and more drink in the drinks.

The ambience of the restaurant is nice and stylish. Unfortunately, that's almost where it ends. The price-performance ratio is not right at all: the dishes are completely overpriced for what you get. The food was OK, but absolutely nothing special. Especially with the pasta dishes, the portions were far too small, and the taste of everything was rather bland and unimaginative. The service also left a lot to be desired - inattentive and not very friendly. Overall, unfortunately not a recommendation from me.

I had a reservation for a large group. Everything went smoothly! Service was very friendly and helpful. The food was good.

Really very nice looking place. The food was very good, prices tended to be more speculative, just like Munich. Isso. In summary: Quite nice, you can eat well, but not a crazy “breakout” in terms of quality and taste. More like “good average”.

The food is quite good, but the service gets worse with each visit. Last time, the waiter with the tattoos still ignored us 15 minutes after we arrived. When we actively asked if he could clear the table of previous guests' leftovers, he did so, but then didn't ask if we wanted to order. We left. It's a shame, but this restaurant won't be an option for us in the future.

The food has deteriorated a lot. In every way. Risotto with mushrooms, a disaster. Dish with mussels as well. I was deeply shocked by what I saw in the women's toilet. Placing a holy picture of Mary or (Saint Martha) in the toilet is probably the most disrespectful thing I haven't seen anywhere in a long time! Shame on you! As an Italian restaurant in a Catholic country! Just sad. We will never come here again!

I’ve known Marta for years, but every time I go back, it gets more expensive while the quality keeps declining. Cheap ingredients, €18 for a pizza, and €10 for a small dessert? That’s just not justifiable. I’m really disappointed. The atmosphere is still nice, but for these prices, the food should be much better. Definitely not worth it anymore!

Service very attentive, reservation essential! Food: Focaccia rosemary very tasty and homemade bread Tartare Di Salmone: nicely prepared but unfortunately no taste, too much ricotta cream, salmon tartare not marinated, lime not tasty, no pepper or salt and that for €21 is a disgrace! Linguine Carbonara: sufficient quantity, bacon very tasty, very dry, unfortunately no runny egg yolk was found as it should be!! Maybe it's been under the kitchen pass for too long? 19€ is simply too much! Hitting the plate several times doesn't work at all!!! Pizza Bufala: very tasty

We were at Marta for the second time - four of us were there almost a year ago and we were all thrilled with the food, the service and the location. Unfortunately, this week's visit left us very disappointed: I originally had seven noodles on my plate, while the table next to us ordered the same dish and got a normal portion. After we tried for a long time to catch someone from the service staff to ask about the parmesan, a small touch of parmesan was sprinkled over our plates with a teaspoon and the parmesan was then taken away again... unfortunately we didn't catch anyone from the staff to ask for parmesan again and were quite disappointed. Above all, I wasn't really full, which really shouldn't happen for the price. The only compensation: the tiramisu was very tasty.

Sensational and high quality pasta dishes and pizza! Great service! A must when we are on holiday in Munich or on business!

Last week the two of us went to MARTA for the first time. The ambience is attractive and stylish, and the service staff was friendly, attentive and exceptionally quick. Unfortunately the food didn't convince us. The pizza was served burnt and the starters - vitello tonnato and rice balls - sounded interesting but were disappointing in taste. In addition, many dishes contained truffles, which increased the price but could not compensate for the poor quality of the basic ingredients and consistency. Overall, MARTA offers a nice ambience, but in terms of taste, the experience fell short of expectations. We found the price-performance ratio to be unbalanced, which is why we are not planning another visit.

We were here for the first time today and our expectations were exceeded. The restaurant has a great location and a wonderful ambience. The food was first class and we were served kindly and courteously by Nick. It's definitely not the last time we've been there and we can only recommend the restaurant!

Very tasty food and great wines. We were there with a group of 15 people and are completely happy and full. The service and processes were outstanding and extremely satisfactory! We are looking forward to the next visit!

Very tasty truffle pasta. The portion was also more than adequate. The taste of the lasagne was excellent, but not enough for one person. The drinks and wine were excellent. Unfortunately, the entrance door couldn't be closed completely, so it was constantly cold and uncomfortable. It takes some getting used to due to the very open design of the restaurant: If you wash your hands after using the toilet, you can see the kitchen and the preparation of the food in the mirror.

The store is beautifully and stylishly decorated and the service is attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. All dishes tasted okay, but by no means excellent. The lasagne was almost burnt, it shouldn't be served like that. The prices are definitely too high for what is on offer. Unfortunately for us it will remain this visit.

LOVED this spot for brunch and will definitely come back for brunch again and for dinner to try out!!! The staff was beyond respectful, understanding and nice. The food was delicious (must try is their avo toast with poached eggs). The bread from Julius Branntner was amazing (I honestly would come there only bc they serve it). I was nicely surprised with this place though the location seemed like tough to get to by public transport.

Unfortunately no... the plates had barely been cleared and the last bite hadn't even been chewed before the menu for dessert was placed on the table. At 7:52 p.m. we were told that the table was reserved for 8 p.m., 4 minutes later we were warned again. The store wasn't full, there were still plenty of spaces available. The couple next to us treated themselves to a bottle, so they weren't asked to leave after almost 2 hours... The food is ok, but the prices are cheeky for the value and service

Sooo, it was a nice evening with 5 people from the company. At the end the bartender gave us the bill for 280 euros and we were allowed to calculate everything ourselves. Hmmm??? Is that gastronomy? Overall the food was good but way too expensive. Each person had 1 dish. Personally, I wouldn't go to this restaurant.

Unfortunately it's getting worse and worse. Low point when you can't get a table despite having a reservation. You can tell it's System Gastro. Too few staff, poor service, no apology. This is the case with all your restaurants in Munich. Many customers in a short time.

I was a little skeptical given all the mixed reviews but I decided to go ahead and give it a try anyway. I ordered the linguine carbonara with a glass of Sauvignon blanc; sadly, it was underwhelming and just bad. The pasta came out way too hot, it was placed without a warning about the temperature and I ended up burning the top of my mouth, so now I have a small blister. But I also noticed it tasted…burnt? After it cooled down a bit, I then noticed it was also way too salty. I reluctantly ate it because I barely had much to eat all day anyway so I figured I’d down it with water after evert bite. Big mistake - I spent the entire night with a horrible stomach ache. Service was polite and quick but nothing personable at all. I left with a negative feeling that even though Marta cooks Italian food, their food is an awful misrepresentation of authentic Italian cuisine. However, I do believe this place will be an ok choice to go with a group of friends to just enjoy some drinks.

Here you can enjoy excellent Italian cuisine! Everything is fresh and homemade, the pasta, the sauces, the pizza, the desserts. Because the kitchen is open, you can watch the food being prepared. It's really a treat!

The service was wonderful and the server helped us practice our German. They are dog friendly and the server brought a bowl of water for our dog. The avo toast was delicious. The egg on top was perfect, fresh avocado and the bread was wonderfully sour. A very delicious meal. I also highly recommend the fresh squeezed orange juice. We had a nice conversation with the server when she recognized my Seattle Seahawks hat and she had gone to the game in Munich a few years ago. Wonderful place, very inviting with great food!

Ambience and service top. Food really authentically Italian and super tasty.

Last night my girlfriend and me went to the retaurant to have dinner and we had a really uncomfortable situation. The pizza was really good, all their food is tasty and really nice, but one of their old waiter treats us really bad. It first started when I told him that I couldn't speak german and that I can only speak english. He started to be really cold towards me and sweet to my gf who is german native. At first, we thought it was kind of racism, but he used some words that looked turkish. With the order, he was super nice to her but with me he almost even could look at me. I asked if he could recommend me a dish and without looking at me he answered with a bit of contempt "I don't know, order whatever". Later I was looking for the bathroom and he was resting in the bar counter and I said "excuse me". He didn't answer. I asked him a second time and then without looking at me and with a sarcastic voice he answered "yes, sir?". I asked if he could tell me where is the bathroom and still without looking at me he pointed with his finger the direction. He didn't say a word, he never looked at me. During the dinner my gf was telling me she was being uncomfortable because every time he was coming he was only talking to her in german and even trying to flirt with her, what was making her feer uncomfortable (he knew I couldn't understand nothing). The last one was when she asked if she could take the rest of the pizza home and he answered her "yes, but give me your adress and phone" also in german. This behaviour is entirely unacceptable. She got blocked and couldn't answer him because all his behaviour was inappropiate. I hope they make changes because he ruined the whole dinner.

Great location, good food and friendly staff. It is especially beautiful there in summer. My personal favorites are pasta in parmesan cheese and the eggplant casserole ✨

Came to here for a late dinner after we checked in our hotel ( Andaz Munich), we were kind of lucky to have a table as it seems very busy when we walked in( Friday 9 pm), we ordered the food and let the waiter knows that we have been travel all day and want some food asap, sure enough, we got our food in a reasonable time. We had tuna tartare for appetizers, it was unique and we like it. My partner had pizza, I had risotto for entree, both were very delicious, it’s always good to have a hot food after a long day (cold day). We didn’t try dessert as we were very tired, but highly recommended this restaurant.

Food is excellent! Specially truffle pasta, but the bald waiter’s attitude was really bad; smiling at everyone except us and acting like he can’t listen to us when we tried to call him to add up to your order.

We were a small group there on Friday evening. The service was good from start to finish. Some of the food was very good, but I've actually had better pizzas, especially for the price.

We went to MARTAs for brunch. The savory dishes were good to okay, but I can't recommend the pancakes. Unfortunately they were dry and the taste was not good. The waitress was very accommodating. I probably wouldn't come to Martas for brunch again, but I'd like to try it for lunch/dinner.

It's great to sit outside in the summer, but unfortunately it's very tight inside. The food is very tasty, but the portions are very small, especially considering the quite high prices.

The service is very nice, the atmosphere is good. But I'm going to the restaurant to eat. So when I was 10 I might have had enough. When it comes to pasta, you can (almost) count the number of noodles on two hands. Unfortunately no exaggeration, there were 13 noodles. If you want to be full and are older than 10, you shouldn't go here. Taste ok. The pizza is essentially ok, but could be better. But the pasta was unfortunately very disappointing in terms of the portion size.

Wow what a great Italian. I was there for the first time on Saturday and immediately fell in love. The food was really delicious and exceptional. The ambience was very chic and inviting. The service was very friendly and attentive. I/we will definitely come back.

This was my third time at Marta's because I kept thinking that I would like to give the restaurant a chance, but unfortunately it remains average at best. Positive: Very nice location Negative: Staff seemed extremely stressed and unfriendly. There was ham as decoration on the wall, but no longer with food - very weak for a high-class Italian. The salad was swimming in the dressing, which basically only consisted of mayo. The pizzas had a decent layer of fat on top, but the taste wasn't bad. Prices are way too high for what you get, even though you are of course in a very nice area. Conclusion: There are much better Italian places where you can get delicious food for less and with better service.

Furnishings are modern, tables are very close together, the two tables in particular offer no privacy and you can't get out/in without touching the neighboring tables or people sitting there. The food was tasty, but I think the prices are a bit high. When it comes to eating it's still ok, but €5.50 for a 0.33 special is over the top. The service was attentive and friendly.

I have been a guest here from day 1. You can also enjoy the bar during the day and evening. The pizzas were great back then. Now they are always burnt on the edge and flaky in the middle, thin like a crepe and soaked in fat. The lasagne was also completely burnt It's a shame the store has completely gone out of business

Unfortunately, I had a second, very disappointing experience today. I ordered pasta with ragout and got a very manageable portion with little sauce and even less meat. Overall, there were 2-3 chunks of meat noticeable throughout the dish. I politely told the waiter that I was a bit disappointed with the size of the portion and especially the lack of sauce and meat. A dish costing almost €20 should have a little more to offer. I asked for a small refill of sauce and ragout and what did I get: first the explanation from the waiter that they had to save money and that there was now less sauce and meat in this dish and when I then looked at him with very wide eyes, because This completely ridiculous and extremely strange reasoning gave me a blob of tomato sauce that tasted like canned tomatoes. At this point I didn't feel like explaining anything or asking for anything anymore. Absolutely no recommendation. A little tip: if you save on portions, you can also reduce the prices for your dishes.

I love it here. Pizza like in Naples with a very nice atmosphere and good service. Compared to alternatives, there are more unusual pizzas here and not the standard menu. It's absolutely worth testing each one. The pasta is also an experience.

Terrible experience. We waited too long just to place our order, and even the drinks came late. I had to wave down the waitress to notice us. When the starter finally arrived, she didn’t even bring plates. In the end, we canceled the main course and left. They paid for the drinks, but the night was already ruined. Would never come back.

Nice restaurant, very good food, good service! I would have liked some bread with the tuna tartare. The Luis Trinker pizza was excellent and so was the pasta. Tiramisu was fantastic, the white chocolate mousse wasn't quite my taste. Gladly again!

The food was very good, but the service left a lot to be desired. At a restaurant where you have a minimum turnover per person and spend several hundred euros, I expect much better service. The service seemed uninterested, which was also reflected in the long waiting times between courses and paying.

At first glance the restaurant looked very appealing, but for me personally the tables are far too close together, at least at the window front. That makes everything uncomfortable again when you hear everything from the next table and you don't trust yourself to say everything you want. The service staff gave the impression that I'm here but I don't feel like it, only one person made an effort and that was okay. Even if I'm in Munich, I can expect a little more on the plate for a hefty price, and then serve it on plates that had cracked spots on the edge. The taste was good.

Very nice atmosphere! The quality of the food was very good! The service could be a little more attentive. Since the tables are doubled in the evenings, we were only able to sit for 1 1/2 hours; 2 hours would be better for a leisurely meal.

I walked into this restaurant accidentally. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very good. There are three generations of a family dining together, and there are also young people partying. Everyone is very friendly. The black truffle pasta is great, a glass of white wine and a glass of Affogato are the perfect way to start a wonderful Sunday. See you next time!

Awful experience. We waited far too long, even just for the starter. The service was so slow that we ended up canceling the main course and leaving. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Wonderful nothing to complain about.!

Miserable. Very appealing on Instagram and promoted by many – but that should be a red flag. Unfortunately, nothing goes beyond the beautiful appearance in pictures and videos. The food is tasteless and loveless, completely overpriced. Mass processing. The waiting times are still catastrophic. The only way to "converse" is to shout. Everything was very loud, tables were much too narrow. The service staff is remarkably rude and then begs for tips. Reaction to our polite complaint: "Okay." Turned away. Interestingly, the middle-aged, bald-headed waiter at the table next to us, which was full of young blonde girls, was three times as busy as ours. Because of the cramped facility and proximity, we were able to overhear his pathetic attempts at flirting. At the end there was also something “on the house” for this table. It's a real shame that I can't give zero stars here. I wish I could get back every single euro I spent here.

Inside it is very nicely decorated. Unfortunately, you have to wait ages to get noticed. It tasted so well, at least it was way too expensive for the taste. Won't come again.

At first glance, the Marta makes a good impression. Nice atmosphere and a great terrace. Unfortunately, at second glance we didn't like it at all. The service is great and very hard working. But that was the only positive thing. The tables in the restaurant are far too close together. It's super loud and you literally have to shout at each other if you want to have a conversation. You can also hear all the conversations from the neighboring tables. When you get up you have to snake your way around to the side and be careful not to clear the food from the tables to the right and left. Unfortunately, the food wasn't anything special for the price and the taste was just ok. The linguine had way too much sauce and the pizzas were rather small with few toppings. In addition, the plates were broken at the edges. For the price you can get better Italian food in Munich

As always, the food was delicious and I think the portions were fair for Munich. However, our blonde waiter was so uninterested in good service or cordiality that it took some of the fun out of it. Above all, you expect different service in an Italian restaurant with such prices!

Update September 29, 2024: It's getting more and more outrageous. Lasagna costs 16 EUR and the quantity is getting smaller and smaller. It is now a starter plate (see photo). It was now the last time with you. Old post: The food is delicious but you end up hungry. High prices and small portions. Staff is a bit disinterested. It was nice to have been there once but we won't be coming back. After all, you want to leave a restaurant full and satisfied.

More modern cool restaurant with excellent pizza. The Luis Trinker pizza can be particularly recommended. The staff, especially at reception, unfortunately seemed quite overwhelmed, but were friendly. The prices are quite high, but still okay for Munich.

The restaurant is very modern and beautifully decorated, you immediately feel at home. The food was a 10/10! Fresh and very tasty. The pizzas are prepared in a huge oven in front of you in the open kitchen. The service is great, very friendly and quick. We are tourists, but we would come here again every time. An absolute must if you like good Italian food and a great atmosphere!!

I was always very at peace, unfortunately things got worse and worse. On our last visit, it took 20 minutes until we received our first drinks, then we were told that the pizza oven was broken. We waited an hour for the food, the cellar ignored us completely and was only chatting with a few selected customers. An interested service employee would have solved the problem with the food... we won't be coming anymore

I had made a reservation on the terrace for 14.08 days before (which shows that I really wanted to go to Marta Trattoria with my visit). However, as the weather forecast predicted rain, I made sure to change my reservation on the terrace for an indoor reservation 2 days before. That day, it rained cats and dogs until shortly before 8pm. At 8pm the place was packed and obviously not as written on the website, the reservations for the restaurant , were not the ones which had to be prioritized We were made to wait at the door, nobody came for ages, maximum over-promotion of the service colleagues, they favoured 2 young ladies and ruined the evening for me, comforted us for almost after an hour waiting to sit down at the bar at the end, uncomfortable, all 4 in a row, couldnt have a normal conversation, which contributed to the fact that we could neither have fun nor enjoy the ambience, the food and our meeting. They play dress up but don't know what service is and what it means. Very disappointing , I would never recommend this place

Definitely not recommended for breakfast/brunch. Very low quality at quite high prices. Among other things, we ordered “Your Favorite Eggs” and instead of the 3 eggs explicitly described in the menu, there was only one per person, served with old toasted bread on damaged dishes. Everything is very loveless. There are definitely better brunch options in Munich.

We were there for breakfast recently. The shop is really nicely designed, in the larger group it was great to sit at the round table so you could have a good chat. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food and the service. A simple avocado bread (really just a slice of bread with avocado and chive snippets), plus a bought egg for €13.90 is more than steep. Unfortunately there was no more on the plate, so I went home unsatisfied and not full. The price for a 0.3 Spezi is also above average at €5.5 and unfortunately disproportionate. Furthermore, several drinks were forgotten, the wrong side dish was brought, etc. Even though we had communicated this to the service staff, this is a real shame. Unfortunately, the other people who accompanied us were also very disappointed with our brunch, so we probably won't be coming back

No longer comparable to before. The service wasn't optimal a few years ago, but now it's miserable. The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly and actually only the ambience is acceptable. The prices have risen again and it is no longer reasonable at all. It's a shame, we used to go there almost every week.

Ordered wheat beer with 0.5, poured into 0.4 glass. It was claimed that the rest would fit into the glass, but that wasn't true. Drink price too high. Salad only came after a complaint. Olives on pizza are no longer possible because they have run out. What else can you say? I like going out to eat, but not when I'm being deceived.

While the peach, prosciutto and burrata salad was very tasty, it’s hard to judge a dish that’s made of 4 ingredients + balsamic sauce. You simple can’t go wrong with burrata, tomato and balsamic sauce. @cnicolejung on the other hand had a pizza and due to the cheese it was a little watery which is fair but compared to other pizzas this one just didn’t impress us. The tiramisu was great Ambiance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4) Principally it’s a nice place to sit outside at in the evening. The neighborhood is calm and gives a modern and lively feeling because there’s also lots of other restaurants near it. We didn’t see it from the inside so simply based on the outside, the ambiance was pretty nice. Only thing is, the lighting choice was a little odd. Service: ⭐️⭐️ (2) We we’re disappointed. I arrived earlier and waited for 15 min alone and not once was I asked if maybe I wanted to order a drink or have some bread to munch on. Also after Nicole arrived it took longer than typically used to to order our food. This was the situation the entire night long. Another big factor that left a bad taste behind was when we paid for our food: the waiter basically gave himself a +10% tip, and having been waitresses ourselves once, and given the subpar treatment that evening, that’s simply not acceptable. Unfortunately very disappointing, absolutely not recommended… At first it took a relatively long time before we were even served. Unfortunately, the service is very inattentive, forgetful and not particularly friendly. The food came quickly, but was rather lukewarm and the pizza was very watery. The ambience is fine, it would be nice if the candles were lit in the evening, they were on the table and maybe some music was playing. It would be nice if the service received a little more training. You will not be asked for a second drink or for dessert. In between, no one came by to ask if everything was okay. It seemed more like the employees wanted to finish work as quickly as possible. Absolute no go: When paying, the waiter asked for a tip. A very disappointing evening.

I would actually have expected more from a restaurant from the Belezza Group (Supernova, Italian Shot, Gigi & Marta). The quality of the food was very good, as expected, but the service was practically non-existent. We actually had a reservation for 8 p.m. and were there on time, but were made to wait 15 minutes in the entrance area because our table still had to be prepared. After we were assigned to our table, we were allowed to give several indications that we would like to order and after 30 minutes we were finally able to place our orders. After all the starters came at the same time, we unfortunately had no luck with the main courses. Four people had a pizza and one had the glazed pork belly, unfortunately the pork belly came about 30 minutes after the pizzas, which from our point of view is actually not possible - so they should have simply coordinated here in the kitchen so that the guests could eat together . (It shouldn't be a science with 4 pizzas and one other dish). While waiting, we also had to point out several times that we had ordered another bottle of wine and bottles of water, as in these cases too everyone was already waiting with empty glasses and we responded with "coming soon", "in 2 minutes" or "in 10 seconds "were put off. After dinner we described these experiences to our waiter, who then simply said that it wasn't his fault and that next time it would be better. The restaurant also didn't show any recognition when it came to the bill, which in our opinion should be good manners in such cases. Yes, there aren't that many service staff at the moment, but then the seating may have to be adjusted because we don't wish that experience on anyone.
