Markus Gehrmann in Essen

As always, the fries at Frittenwerk are super delicious! I really like using them when I have a long transition period.

We've held several company parties there, and it was always a huge party. It's a good thing the S-Bahn station is within walking distance, and it's easy to get to Essen. Otherwise, nothing special. It's apparently a popular spot for cyclists, located right on the Ruhr River.

I ordered a grill plate without salad, with fries and mayonnaise. A piece of chicken and three frozen cevapcici were placed on the grill. A larger portion of doner kebab meat was also served. The spit was turned on almost at the end. I was the only customer at the grill today at 2:15 p.m. I live about 5 minutes by car from the grill. I started eating right away when I got home. The chicken was okay. Some of the cevapcici were raw inside and lukewarm overall. The fries were completely soggy, not even a bit big. I got a yogurt sauce with it. That goes with a salad, but not with grilled meat. Although I expect more variety in the meat on a grill plate. I paid 12 euros for that. I tried to eat it, but no.

Tonight, after swimming, I got a turkey and cheese baguette because I didn't feel like eating McDonald's! The cheese was hard and inedible! I threw away half the baguette because I was expecting a fresh baguette!

Seit der Neueröffnung ist es total schön hier! Das Essen ist hervorragend und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Probiert die Salate - super! Im Sommer kann man auch endlich wieder draußen sitzen!
