The food at Frittenwerk was absolutely top – fresh, tasty and creatively prepared. The portions are just right and the combinations are simply brilliant. The service was also super friendly and attentive. You can tell that people work here with heart. Always my pleasure!

Fantastic food! The curry wurst and fries were flavorful and satisfying, the fries were crispy perfection. Chilli cheese fries, my absolute favorite! And to top it off, the churros with hazelnut sauce - sweet and delightful. Great combination of savory and sweet, highly recommend!

Bang in the central railway station, the location is convenient but not "nice". Thus, 2 stars for that. Portions are medium- large sized and taste good- great place for a quick snack.

Shortly before we left, we were there about 30 minutes after the store opened (10:30 a.m.) and wanted to try Frittenwerk before we went home. The food was really great, I can also really recommend the vegan currywurst here. The deduction is only because of the service. They wanted to order via the order terminal, had never done that before and seemed a bit helpless. Somehow we managed it after no one came. When I picked up the food I somehow had the thought that we were there at the wrong time... but would still consider visiting again next time :)

Always very tasty Especially fries with pullet pork... and the cucumber tomato avocado salad and the sucuk fries, of course it has its price. But you get good, large portions that fill you up.☺️👍

Ordered, waited three quarters of an hour for delivery and then my order was canceled 10 minutes before the promised arrival without any explanation! 😠 This has happened twice now! 😡 This is the worst experience I've had with delivery services so far.

Super tasty and a huge selection of different fries with different sauces and toppings. The self-service displays are also helpful if, like me, you don't know exactly what you want, but the super charming and competent employees are also happy to advise you on the choice of fries. In addition to fries, there are also small snacks such as crispy chicken sticks or churros, which sets the shop apart from a conventional chip shop. There are also plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, which should appeal to everyone. Despite the fact that it is only a small shop in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Essen central station, the ambience is really sweet and designed with an eye for detail and definitely has its charm. The background music doesn't always suit my taste, but otherwise this store is a real 12/10 and my new "go to" when I have some time and hunger between trains.

I haven't eaten French fries sauces so well in a long time. Everything is delicately seasoned. And also a very hygienic shop with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, great and highly recommended!

I paid 22 euros for the Shawarama Poutine because I wanted extras, but what was my surprise when I got home and saw no extras even though I had paid 11€ more! And the worst thing is the workers who are very cold to the customers, Frittenwerk never again

Worst currywurst ever! It made me puke. No taste old and had already thrown half away.

It used to be better. Very few fries compared to before, not really crispy, just soft and mushy. The staff didn't understand me well and they didn't understand me well either. Didn't seem to feel like it either. Hmm. I used to enjoy eating at Frittenwerk.

Fries are mediocre, but what really bothers me is the double debit from my account for a single payment! Still no response from Frittenwerk - very helpful!

The fries were prepared in less than 5 minutes, crispy, hot, fresh ingredients on them, helpful staff, the shop is small, but still cozy and has a magical feeling. Gladly again 🤤🤤

The terminal restarted and I was charged twice for everything. The employee said that it couldn't be paid back to me. Impossible! I was only shown 2 fries at the terminal and was billed for 4! Disgrace!!!

Germany knows fries. No idea what the idea behind fancy pancy fries is, but when I go to Aunt Erna's for fries with hunter's sauce, I get twice as much fries, mushrooms and flavor for 1/3 of the money. It would be a shame to create classic chip shops because everyone wants to hype this half-baked fancy pancy.

Ordered the Montreal Style Poutine. There's nothing special about the fries for someone who almost exclusively sells only that. There was barely any mushroom in the box. Overpriced tbh. A joke of a place.

Since I'm at the train station every day, I get fries there every now and then. Unfortunately, it always depends on who is on shift. Two weeks ago there were two girls there who were really super friendly and quick. Last week there were two gentlemen who unfortunately valued their conversations more and didn't want too many fries to end up in the bowls. I think it's a shame because the garlic fries are really tasty.

Frittenwerk is a chain that you can visit from time to time when you're hungry for fries. You can definitely choose toppings. I had the carne chili, unfortunately. It was a bit bland. Spices were missing, some of the fries weren't quite cooked through A bit hectic as it was very full But everyone was very friendly

I've always said that the best Frittenwerk is in Essen Hbf. The blonde girl who works there is always nice and serves the right portion according to the prices. However, the male employee is the complete opposite. He serves very rudely and the plates are not even a quarter full. He is very stingy. It's the same every time I order from him. He doesn't want to take care of the customers and is always joking around. Unfortunately, this gives the business a bad reputation.

Wanted to order something before the train left. Unfortunately, the ordering process took longer than 5 minutes because the terminal is designed so that the customer buys everything and leaves as much money as possible. Every special curl is queried. Therefore no reasonable order is possible. I'm not ordering a quarter of an hour!?

The rooms are very nicely and stylishly furnished, you feel very comfortable, the staff are friendly and attentive. I had the vegan currywurst with the garlic fries, the fries are really tasty, less greasy than expected, the vegan currywurst (it's my first) tastes pleasant, I have no comparison but I personally think it's tasty considering it's not meat. Overall, very nice here and can only be recommended. ☺️

Chips, Sausage and Curry Sauce - you can’t go wrong!. The portions are a really good size for the price paid and it was to retry quick to order and serve. Service is a little sterile but that’s no bother for what you are getting

Frittenwerk Essen Hauptbahnhof offers a solid experience. The wait was acceptable, however there was a small incident with the receipt which had to be reprinted. The Lieferando driver without a uniform and the lack of a tablet for ordering were notable. In terms of taste, the food received a good rating of 8 out of 10, although the meat was a little too salty. The look scored 6 out of 10. One criticism was the liberal use of ketchup and mayo, resulting in a low score of 2 out of 10. The service, however, was very nice and deserved 8 out of 10 points. The cleanliness in the chip factory was convincing and received a high rating of 9 out of 10 points. Overall a positive experience that could be helpful to others.

I had the Istanbul fries...I think that's what they're called xD Plus an upgrade to garlic fries. I had little expectations, but I was so full and it tasted really good. Attached is a photo of the dish!

Wir wollten eine Currywurst Pommes essen, mussten 15 min warten, da die Würstchen so lang dauerten. In der Zeit konnten wir einem älteren Herrn übersetzen, da vom Personal niemand Englisch sprach (an einem HbF einer Großstadt!) Nach den 15 Minuten war die Wurst noch genauso ungebraten wie vorher, die Mayo war absolut nicht lecker. Sorry, hat uns überhaupt nicht überzeugt.

Mein Erster und Letzter Besuch gestern ich habe mir Pommes Royal Poutine bestellt die Portion war sehr klein und oben drauf nur 2 Scheiben Radieschen. Personal sehr lustlos und nur am Putzen indressiert. Habe 6,90 €bezahlt und letzten 10 Cent in die Trinkgelddose getan da kam noch nicht mal Danke. Also das Geld war es nicht Wert

The food is always a 10/10. Hot, fresh and very tasty. However, it’s often tricky to get a seat as there are very limited seating options, due to the generally small restaurant. Also the tables are a bit wobbly. But other than that I’d fully recommend eating here, if you’re ready to pay 7-9€ per portion (for some REALLY good fries that is!)
