MARKTPIRAT Heide in Heide

Die Bruschetta war recht gut, allerdings waren die Tomaten nur halbiert und müssten kleiner geschnitten werden. Sie sind so groß, dass sie direkt vom Brot fallen, und es waren kaum Zwiebeln dabei. Die Süßkartoffelpommes waren sehr lecker und die Portion war groß, aber Ketchup passte einfach nicht dazu. Die Kellnerin war extrem unfreundlich, die beiden anderen Kellner hingegen sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Cocktails waren sehr gut, und es war schön, draußen zu sitzen.

Top Essen, Qualität auf spitzen Niveau. Auswahl perfekt. Geschmack = Erlebnis für die Sinne. Personal super freundlich 👍🏻 Ich komme 100% wieder !!! Bitte so beibehalten. Danke

Wir waren dort zum Mittagessen, wurden sehr gut Und nett bedient. Das Essen war hervorragend es gibt eine Tageskarte tolle Getränke und auch sehr leckeren Kuchen. Ich kann dieses Lokal nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen war wirklich lecker und die Portionen groß. 😊 Bei unserer heutigen To-Go-Bestellung haben allerdings leider ein paar Dinge gefehlt, darunter auch ein extra bezahltes Extra. Vor Ort wurde uns gesagt, dass alles bereits kontrolliert wurde, weshalb wir selbst nicht noch einmal nachgeschaut haben. Fehler können natürlich immer passieren, gerade wenn viel los ist. Bei einer größeren Bestellung mit kostenpflichtigen Extras war es trotzdem einfach schade, da man es zu Hause dann leider erst bemerkt. Geschmacklich waren wir aber zufrieden und würden beim nächsten Mal die Bestellung wahrscheinlich einfach direkt vor Ort noch einmal selbst kontrollieren.

Es war hier früher um einiges besser. Spareribs hatten mehr Geschmack und waren größer.

Ich war die letzten beiden Wochen im April in Heide und bin auf den Marktpirat gestoßen und muss wirklich sagen —> TOP!!!

Tolles Restaurant im Zentrum von Heide, direkt auf dem berühmten Marktplatz. Sehr leckeres Essen, das Bruschetta könnte ich jeden Tag essen, der Lava Cake ist sehr mächtig, aber mindestens ebenso lecker. Toll ist, dass man jeden Burger auf der Karte auch mit einem hausgemachten Veganpattie bekommen kann, und lecker war es auch, aber beim hausgemachten Veganpattie ist noch Luft nach oben. Es ist eher eine Gemüsefrikadelle, die durchaus schmeckt, aber mit beispielsweise veganen Smash-Patties wie bei Vincent Vegan mit rauchigem Aroma oder geschmacklicher Annäherung an ein Fleisch-Pattie wie beim Vegetarian Butcher oder Beyond Meat Patties nicht mithalten kann. Vielleicht möchte man das auch nicht, schön wäre dennoch, wenn man zwischen verschiedenen fleischlosen Patties wählen könnte, möglicherweise auch mit entsprechendem Aufpreis. Die Pommes Dippers, die man als Beilage zum Burger extra bestellen muss, sind superlecker, die Saucen auch. Der Salat war klasse, das geröstete Brot, der Dinkel Bully vom Mühlenbäcker, dazu war perfekt und auf den Punkt. Selten so ein tolles Brot zum super Salat gegessen. Auch die Location ist super, es ist sehr gemütlich, nicht zu warm und nicht zu kalt, also perfekt um lange zu verweilen. Eine Reservierung ist empfohlen, denn es kann durchaus sehr voll werden, was uns nicht verwundert hat. Qualität hat auch durchaus seinen Preis, man kann zu zweit niedrig dreistellig rechnen, aber die Zeit, der Genuss und das Ambiente sind es wert. Wir werden wiederkommen!

Wir haben etwas zum Mitnehmen bestellt und waren mehr als enttäuscht. Wirklich abgrundtief schlecht das Essen. Fleisch war zäh ohne Ende und auch nicht durchgebraten und das für diesen stolzen Preis. Ich muss leider sagen,dass sogar Imbissessen deutlich schmackhafter ist. Das Schnitzel ist wirklich mindere Qualität und eben zäh und faserig. Leider ist der Service auch nicht einwandfrei und sowas zu der heutigen Zeit. Wirklich schade,dass man sich für seine Gäste nicht mehr bemüht denn ohne diese Gäste,würde ein Geschäft nicht laufen. Der Cheesecake war dagegegen aber sehr gut. Das ist aber auch das einzig Positive,was ich sagen kann. Bestellt lieber woanders - günstiger und deutlich besser. Gegen den hohen Preis habe ich eigentlich nichts aber dann darf man doch bitte auch mehr erwarten,als das,was einem da mitgegeben wird.

Ich war zweimal mit meinem Freund hier und beide Male war die Erfahrung sehr schlecht. Das Personal ist unfreundlich und respektlos. Beim ersten Besuch hat eine Kellnerin meinen Freund am Bein berührt und ihn unangemessen gefragt, warum er am Handy ist und ob er auf einem Date ist – obwohl er mit mir am Tisch saß. Beim zweiten Besuch wollte uns eine Mitarbeiterin mit Brille (Name unbekannt) nicht an einen Tisch für vier Personen setzen, obwohl viele Tische frei waren. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Die Speisekarte bietet keine Abwechslung und die Preise sind sehr überzogen.

Ich war spontan zum Frühstücken hier und war wirklich begeistert. Ich hatte das Crocodile’s Breakfast für 11,90€ und es war jeden Cent wert. Alles war sehr lecker und frisch. Schade, dass ich so weit entfernt wohne, sonst wäre ich wahrscheinlich jedes Wochenende hier zum Frühstück. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich auch den Kellner, Er war sehr aufmerksam und hat mich hervorragend beraten. Vielen Dank für den tollen Service!

Bedienung war frech und unhöflich. Wir wurden quasi aus dem Laden geworfen, obwohl wir noch etwas bestellt hatten. Man sollte außerdem nicht einfach geduzt werden. Der Burger war labbrig und der Eiskaffee lauwarm.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen hier und hatten beide einen Burger und Pommes. Die "dicken Fritten" waren gut und auch die beiden Burger. Das Ambiente war stimmig. Der Service freundlich. Alles in allem ein netter Aufenthalt. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist ok. Für die Qualität des Essens angemessen.

Moin Ich war das erste Mal da. Das Retaurant war am Freitag Abend sehr stark besucht. Wir hatten reserviert, hat auch alles geklappt. Getränke kamen schnell, Essen hat etwas gedauert, wir waren aber auch 16 Personen, fand es war alles noch im Rahmen. Mein essen war lecker. Einrichtung war ok, das was ich gesehen habe zumindest. Mit wirde berichtet das die damentoiletten schmutzig sein und keine papierhandtücher mehr da seien. Parken ist da problemlos, gegen Gebühr tagsüber. Die Preise sind wie überall echt happig, darf man nicht drüber nachdenken eigentlich. Über 17 euro für Bolognese mit nudeln. Aber wie gesagt das selbe habe ich anderswo auch vor kurzem gezahlt. Ob das nun gerechtfertigt ist oder nicht, ich weiß es nicht.

Nun ja. Der Laden gilt hier als „gut“ mit einem Aspekt von Sehen und Gesehenwerden. Die Beliebtheit muss allerdings an der geringen Auswahl an Guten Restaurants hier liegen, das Essen war aus meiner Sicht medioker. Ich hatte einen „Roten Teufel“, einen veganen Burger mit Roter Bete, Jalapenos und Guacamole mit Sauerteigbun. Kostenpunkt: 16,90€. Der Bun war eher auf der drögen Seite und weichte schnell durch, die Burgersauce beliebig und blande. Vor dem hausgemachten Veggiepattie möchte ich warnen: Bestend aus Kartoffeln und etwas Gemüse kamen Erinnerungen an frühe vegetarische TK-Bratlinge in einer Krankenhauskantine der Neunziger auf, stumpfes Mundgefühl, Textur weichlich cremig, geschmacksarm. Dann in zu kaltem Öl ausgebacken und dadurch mit Fett vollgesogen. Insgesamt ein sparsamer Genuss zum forschen Kurs. Die Pommes waren ebenfalls eher ölig als knusprig. Die Meatburger der Tischgenossen waren ebenfalls maximal „ok“. Service war sehr nett, aber es kam zu mehreren kleinen Fehlern wie falscher Bun, falsche Getränkegrösse. Tische stehen ganz schön eng. Ambiente unruhig, ansonsten ok und gepflegt. Insgesamt eher gewollt als gekonnt und für das Gebotene teuer.

Mein Besuch hier war furchtbar. Am 27.12.25 Ich bestellte eine ganze Torte. Zuerst war das Café überfüllt, und die Bedienung war nicht darauf vorbereitet, sich die vielen Torten im Keller anzusehen. Sie meinte, sie hätte keine Zeit, nach unten zu gehen; sie könne nur einmal. Nach 5 Minuten braucht ein Mitarbeiter der Torte von unten bat sie, einen größeren Karton zu verwenden, da ich sie nicht zu meinem Auto tragen konnte. (War der Karton halb auf ) Es gab keine Parkplätze in der Nähe. U hab mein Auto weiter weg geparkt . Sie sagte mir sehr unhöflich und laut, dass sie den Karton nicht wechseln könne und dass ich, wenn es mir nicht passe, mein Geld zurückverlangen und die Torte sofort zurückgeben könne weil sie kein Zeit hat für mich Habe ich ihre die Torte wieder zurück gegeben . U haben wir den Geburtstag ohne richtig Torte gefeiert Sehr schade Ist das die neue Art, mit Kunden umzugehen?

Wir haben nur einen Kaffee getrunken aber es hat uns gut gefallen !

My visit here was terrible. On December 27, 2025, I ordered a whole cake. First, the café was overcrowded, and the server wasn't prepared to look at the many cakes in the basement. She said she didn't have time to go down; she could only do it once. After 5 minutes, an employee came down to get the cake from the basement. I asked her to use a larger box, as I couldn't carry it to my car. (The box was half open.) There was no parking nearby. I parked my car further away. She told me very rudely and loudly, that she couldn't change the box and that if I didn't like it, I could ask for my money back and return the cake immediately because she didn't have time for me. So I gave the cake back to her. We celebrated the birthday without a proper cake. Very disappointing. Is this the new way to treat customers?

Wie schon in Büsum hat uns das Essen überzeugt. Sehr lecker und frisch. Der Kellner war sehr lustig und aufmerksam.

Auf der Suche nach einem netten Restaurant in Heide, mit einer ansprechenden Küche (wir kommen aus Hamburg), fiel die Wahl auf den Piraten. Ergebnis: Besser als so manche Konzeptrestaurants in der Heimat. Engagiert, sehr freundlich, unaufgeregt, ehrlich und - am wichtigsten- sehr lecker. Gute Karte, gutes Konzept, Preise realistisch und Ambiente geht voll in Ordnung. Kann man bedenkenlos hingehen.

To see and be seen. Relatively expensive, but that's typical of Heide – yet the restaurants are packed. It can't be for lack of money! We were visiting from Hanover.

If you're looking for a different atmosphere, this is a good place to stay. The staff is friendly, and there's plenty of food.

We ate 3 Burgers +French fries. And 2 Beers. 80 Euros. The food was okay, but couldn’t keep up with that unexpected price. 6 Euros for French fries was unexpected.

We're really disappointed now. The restaurant started so well, even in Büsum, but now the quality is poor and the prices are exorbitant. ... It started with bruschetta (3 slices of thin toasted bread with chopped tomatoes and a tiny, assorted salad for €9). Now it's €12.50 – I can make that cheaper and better at home! I'm not going to a restaurant for that. The BBQ burger – well-done despite my request. Small and honest – I can do that myself. No special sauce. The fries are great. No complaints there. Too expensive, but tasty. Then there's the steak. They advertise it as a specialty – there was nothing "special" about it, just tough. And the cocktails I love? We used to get a Slingapore Slinge or Mai Thai for €8.50. Now it's €13 and they don't even taste good anymore. Truly sad. What seems to be holding up is the location in Heide. In Büsum, they often only offered the lunch menu and cocktails according to a template that had been given to the staff there due to staff shortages. Despite all understanding, that's not what these overpriced Not worth the prices. Even with all the best efforts: it's not worth these exorbitant prices! Even in Büsum, I can get fantastic bruschetta for €8.50, a perfect pizza for €13, and a top-quality filet steak for €28 at an Italian restaurant. We don't even need to discuss alternative cocktail hotspots. We pay our price when we eat out. They all have overhead costs. But for three tiny slices of tomato for €12.50, we'd rather stay home and make it ourselves – and better (overhead costs: €2.50) – and the same goes for the Aperol or cocktails. It's no longer worth a visit. The service staff is excellent and without exception courteous and incredibly helpful – in both locations! Kudos for that! Conclusion: reduce the prices; they are no longer reasonable compared to other restaurants and considering the quality. A real shame. Best regards, and please get back on track. We need restaurants like yours that we can afford.

Great shop, but it's a real shame that you have to pay an extra €1 for milk alternatives... And that with the sheer number of cakes and desserts, there isn't a single vegan option available.

Delicious and beautifully presented! Great selection of teas. The cappuccino wasn't so great (a bit watery), but otherwise everything was excellent.

My absolute go to restaurant when I’m in Heide. All menu items are thoughtful, using local suppliers and are really well prepared and presented with care. I’m particular to their vegan whole head of cauliflower with hummus, delicious! But their meats selection is also second to none, owed to the agricultural surroundings. They even had game on the menu, not sure if this was seasonal. I also enjoy the ambiance they’ve created. The Marktpirat has that ‘hygge’ feeling about it. Highly recommend!

I feel utterly at home here 😊 Despite being very busy, the service is usually very cheerful and attentive. The food is always very generous and lovingly prepared. The cakes, tarts, and desserts are a treat! 🤤 For vegans, I'd love something white, creamy, pudding-like with pear, or vegan cream, baked apple, and cinnamon 😉

We already knew Marktpirat from Büsum, so our choice for our visit to Heide was easy. Friendly service, the usual wide selection, and quick preparation. The cakes and desserts are amazing.

We've been eating at Marktpiraten occasionally for several years. The ambiance is already very good for the Heide (Park) market square, but the service has deteriorated considerably in recent years. While that's still bearable, the quality of the food is anything but consistently good. I usually order the Caesar salad, and I must say it has declined considerably. Recently, the sauce was quite bland, the vegetables were very roughly prepared, and the bread on the salad wasn't toasted but simply dry and tasted quite stale. The price is simply too high for that.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right. We ordered aglio e olio, a carbonara, and a Wiener schnitzel. I had the carbonara, and it was unfortunately very mild/had little flavor. The sauce lacked flavor, and the pasta tasted watery/bloated. The aglio olio wasn't a classic, but at least it was spicy. The schnitzel was okay, but not satisfactory for the price.

It was a wonderfully pleasant and delicious evening. We felt completely at home, and even with a child, it wasn't a problem. The service was accommodating to all our requests and executed everything perfectly. Thanks again for that. We'll definitely be back.

A bit more expensive but super tasty

Delicious burgers! But you can also get pasta, ribs, and much more there. There was a vegan menu, and any burger could be made with a veggie patty or modified to a low-carb version. I would recommend making a reservation, as it gets very busy. The cocktail and alcohol menu also had a lot to offer.

Incredibly poorly labeled menu and rude service FYI: I'm vegan. First, I ordered a swimming pool drink and specifically specified that it should be without cream, since I'm vegan. It all worked out perfectly. Then, when I was looking for a dish, I naturally looked at the vegan dishes page and found a red and yellow beet carpaccio. I ordered that. When it arrived, I tried what looked like tofu and, after many years of being vegan, realized it was definitely feta. I asked about it and it was confirmed. Thanks for that, you guys :) So I ordered a new dish. But then I was told I had to pay for the old one, and that it was probably my mistake, since they offer the dish as a non-vegan option on another website. How am I supposed to know? I can expect that if a dish is listed on the vegan page, it's vegan. I could have also had a severe allergic reaction to it, in which case it could have actually been quite dangerous.

Unfortunately not. The currywurst is more like a Hamburg currywurst, not a curry meat sausage. The sauce was very tasty, but the fries were a disaster. Unfortunately, I had the impression that some had been fried two or three times. The drinks were very good. The truffle parmesan fries and the fried potatoes, which appeared to have been microwaved, don't get a good rating either. Considering I paid over 50 euros here, I only give it two stars. I was quite disappointed with this restaurant.

A very nice shop, there's just one problem: you're not served. It wasn't exactly busy today, but you still sit there for 20 minutes without anyone noticing. We left. We then got an ice cream outside from the two very annoyed ladies who didn't like the fact that you couldn't choose your ice cream right away. It was definitely different in Büsum and much, much better.

There's something for everyone on the menu. Good, fast service. The food is good and plentiful. The prices are fairly reasonable.

It's never been soooo bad. Even the best of us can't get it right sometimes, but then to claim it has to be that way, that's the apple? Today we had breakfast at Marktpiraten in Heide. Marktpiraten was, until now, one of our favorite restaurants, and we've been there several times for breakfast. I used to order porridge, but it wasn't on the menu anymore, so I had a small portion of Bircher muesli with fresh fruit. The fruit costs €3.50 and consists of a few blueberries and a bunch of currants, but it was okay. I tried the muesli and immediately felt a tingling and burning sensation in my mouth. Another spoonful, and then I asked my daughter if she could try it, it just didn't taste good either. She tried it and was downright disgusted. My other daughter then smelled the muesli and said she didn't even need to try it, it smelled fermented. Bircher muesli is prepared and sits for a while, but it's not allowed to ferment. It was returned, and then they told me it was the apple's fault; it was sour. I could have granola. I politely declined, but my granddaughter had one and wasn't particularly impressed. Did it always have peanuts in it? You've done better! I still had two half rolls, so I didn't go hungry. The pancakes also came without bacon; I ordered them with banana, maple syrup, and bacon. We first got chocolate sauce, maple syrup, and fruit. The very friendly server took the plate back, and then later simply put bacon on top. Is chocolate sauce always put on top? The returned, inedible porridge was on the bill, which we only received after paying. Sorry, but that was it for now. Unfortunately!

Unfortunately, the evening was a disaster. We received a friendly welcome and were able to choose our own seats. After ordering our drinks, the waiter came back twice to ask what we had ordered. It was clearly visible that the drinks had been prepared, but they had been sitting on the counter for another 15 minutes. The waiter had more personal matters to attend to than bringing the drinks to our table. We each ordered burgers, but again, we weren't asked how we wanted the patty—that's a standard question. The burgers were dry and flavorless. The only good thing about the meal were the sweet potato fries. The table wasn't cleared after the meal either, even though two waiters walked by several times. It's a real shame that the restaurant's service and food are getting worse and worse.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good visit. The food tasted okay, but unfortunately arrived too cold. The prices are significantly too high for what's on offer – the "homemade" lemonade in particular seemed poorly made and, at €6.50, was completely overpriced. The service was disappointing: they didn't ask if we wanted anything else to drink, nor did they take our criticism of the cold food seriously. Overall, a not a good experience – I would have expected much more for the money.

It's been a while since we've been to Marktpirat. I had a Hamburg, which was quite okay, but unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding. The menu doesn't clearly state that the salad is charged extra at €6.50. The staff asked me whether I wanted fries or salad, but didn't point out that it was extra. When we noticed it, we were even told that it was actually misspelled on the menu and that this had happened before. "Impossible." Then I was offered a cookie as an apology. I would have preferred pistachio, but I got marzipan. So, sorry, I'm very disappointed.

Very delicious iced coffee and iced chocolate!!

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food, because the only thing I have right now is plenty of time to write a review. The restaurant is busy, and the food looks good. However, the service is completely lacking in structure. All the servers are serving everyone in some way or another. Everyone is running around in a daze from table to table, no one has a clear overview. Give yourself a bit more structure and one or two more servers, and the place will run smoothly. I'm not feeling well at the moment. It's a shame.

We enjoyed delicious, fresh food here in a relaxed atmosphere! Highly recommended. Thank you very much.

The service staff was friendly. When I asked if a €6.80 organic lemonade with lukewarm ice cubes could be decorated with a little extra, like a mint leaf or something similar, they replied, "We always do it like that." It's a shame, the picture is far from the reality. Perhaps someone else will do it better soon. The ambiance doesn't match the price range.

The food, unfortunately, is nothing special. The acclaimed currywurst isn't exactly run-of-the-mill, but it's not outstanding either. The hamburger isn't fantastic, either. The prices, however, are a bit high. The value for money isn't right at all. The service was good. The ambiance wasn't exactly inviting either. The tables are so close together that no one could pass without bumping into someone. We had a much better quality meal the day before, and at a better price.

Unfortunately, you can't reserve a table by phone. You're seated next to the table, and after 10 minutes, no one comes back. Very unfriendly and unprofessional.

Great. The currywurst was perfect, and so was the burger. The only thing that's really interesting is the toilet... all the parts are missing, completely dirty, and there are flies everywhere, really not nice.
