Markthalle Neun in Berlin

It's really worth a visit. Diverse gastronomy...tastings...multi-cultural audience. The hall was well filled in the evening but the atmosphere was very pleasant.

we didnt know what to expect but there were many different foods. there were many foods from different cultures and the handmade pasta we tried there was really really good.

This market hall in Berlin is a pure pleasure during the Street-food evening. Plenty of food representing different countries most of the time, and many different drinks too. The ambiance is very friendly and the place is safe. I'd recommend.

Markthalle Neun is Berlin's culinary adventure playground. It's got it all: hand-tossed pasta, organic beer, vegan donuts, and cheese so stinky it could charge its own rental price. Thursdays at Street Food Thursday are crowded, expensive and delicious. If you want something cheaper, go to the discounter on Wednesdays - they are also located in the hall. A charming mix of hipster paradise and an honest market atmosphere.

Expensive food for a food market! It has a lot of variety and it s in a cool neighbourhood.

I like shopping here for cooking! Unbeatable when it comes to taste. Alte Milch, Buddy and Keule and Drunn by Nature are certainly in the top 3 in their segment in Berlin.

A great place - for coffee, Streetfood or wine

A culinary variety that leaves almost nothing to be desired. It's a shame that it's closed on Sundays when there are a lot of people out and about. Recommended!

Very nice market hall with lots of great stalls.

Cool place to spend a night in. Very casual place where you can find varios food from different nationalities. Beside the food there are lots of bars in markthalle that sells beverages. Last nighr we have tried chinees dumplings, Italian pizza and spanish wrapped. The spaniah one strongly suggested.

We were in Berlin at Markthalle Neun. We planned it for a Thursday evening so we could try different foods from various countries. The atmosphere is amazing, and it has a great ambiance. Finding an empty table wasn't easy, but once we did, we had a wonderful time. We got some wine and tried a variety of different foods. It was a fantastic experience.

Lots of delicious, cool things that I didn't know before... and above all there were veal ribs with barbecue sauce. They were really incredibly tasty.

This market is very pretty, with plenty of food stalls from all over the world, making it a nice place to walk around. Unfortunately, the quality of the products is more than average at most stalls, which is a bit disappointing.

A must-visit when you’re in Berlin! The market hall is highly recommended—you can find food from all over the world, especially on Thursdays for Street Food Day. Don’t forget to bring cash, as not all vendors accept cards.

We tried flavors from all over the world, Moroccan and Far Eastern dishes, we liked them very much.

I was expecting more to be offered. It was close to the closing time, it might be the reason but not much to see. There was a gin cocktail place, we drank his own apero spritz, it was good.

The market hall is highly recommended, there is everything you need here on a Saturday. Coffee, cakes, breads, fruit, vegetables, juices, wine, champagne, pasta, oysters, fish, meat, liver casseroles and and and👌👌👌😋😋😋😋

A very nice market hall with many specialties, but very expensive goods. Nevertheless, it is worth taking a stroll through the beautiful ambience of the old market hall.

Gear variety of cuisines from around the world. Good ambience and fair prices. Take cash cause some of the stands dont take cards.

Not much seating and cigarette filters are everywhere because there are simply no ashtrays. Food selection is ok but expensive.

I love this market hall with its historical flair. Especially on Thursdays it's fun to taste your way through the continents! Only the prices are a bit exaggerated in relation to the portions - that could be changed.

You've lived in Berlin for 58 years and just happened to pass by here. I know market halls like this from Barcelona or Cádiz, for example, but I always tactically drove past them on the outside. The market hall has been around since 1891 and is very nice to look at. Market atmosphere alongside drinking wine and sipping oysters. Really nice and trendy but not cheap. I'll also try out the food market on Thursday in good time. Anyone traveling in Kreuzberg should take a look inside.

Very enjoyable atmosphere. We timed it on Thursday and had fun, but I was expecting something bigger and more comprehensive.

Worth a visit but nothing special.. every meal was only half good 🙈 Except for the False French... that was the best tarte flambée EVER!

This is such a lovely market with an even more impressive architecture. Overall it gives off a great atmosphere, where people meet for wine tasting, drinks or casual snacks. Also the small vendors in the market hall have a really well put together diversity of different types of food be it a Turkish snack, a good cheese selection, bread, cakes, vegan snacks, Asian tapas - or even “German” tapas if you want to call it that way. It is not a classical street market, but rather in the format of a more historical “timeout market” potentially known from other cities, or generally a historical food hall, where people are welcome to sit down and have a great time. In the evening it turns into a sort of open wine and beer tasting which is a gorgeous idea. Thus, generally we had a great time and would always come back!

I love this place!!! I recommend going there Thursday to enjoy the Street Food night. There is various options of food and drinks. In my opinion, the price is fair. I specially recommend the Takoyaki, the Bao, the Beef Pancake, the Drink on Donation Basis and the Cannoli!! Pro Tip: Buy a gelato ball and top it with a cannoli. There are also fresh oysters!! It's nice, but just a weekly market in a nice atmosphere. A few special dishes are offered there, but I really expected more based on the many positive reviews. If you're in the area anyway - nice - it's not worth driving here.

It was smaller than we expected but seemed quite popular with many people there. There's a variety of interesting bars, restaurants, bakeries and specialty shops. It's more focused on eateries rather than being a farmers market or flea market. It's a warehouse decor/ environment. The midtown global market, hmong village market etc in Minneapolis is bigger than this place. If you’re in the area, you can stop by, but it's not a must see. If you only have a few days in Berlin, skip this.

We went to the Christmas market in the hall on December 22nd, 2024. There was a comprehensive range of super tasty snacks, not so tasty mulled wine and unfortunately almost no Christmas products, i.e. neither the usual sweets such as branded almonds or Christmas wreaths etc. Overall it was nice though!

Small traditional covered market in Berlin. You can buy fruits, vegetables, meats...but also eat there. Nice

Lovely place with lots of different food, shops and drink stalls. Nice old brick premises with high ceilings and a really good feel. Here there is something for everyone, from oysters with wine to sausages with beer.

Quite funny every now and then. There are all kinds of gourmet selections, of course to suit your wallet.

Great food court, great butcher and Berlin ice cream. It's just a shame that there's less and less going on there. So go for a stroll to improve your mood!

we stayed here on 12/30/2024. it is a nice covered market, quite rich in food. at various stands you can buy food to eat while sitting on site. We were not particularly surprised by the fact that the Italian stands were literally under attack...

An international food market is held every Thursday, but Nihu gets very crowded during rush hours, so it's best to go between 4 and 6 p.m.

There are a lot of people. You can buy some delicious snacks and international cuisine inside. The atmosphere is great and suitable for rainy days, but the transportation is a bit inconvenient.

I have mixed feelings about the market hall. There are a few nice things on offer, but I find other things unnecessary and, above all, overpriced. The place is also the spearhead of gentrification in the neighborhood and the tipsy hordes of tourists can really get on your nerves. "Street Food Thursday" etc. are kind of nice... but also not. The prices are sometimes extremely exaggerated. This price inflation is also encouraged by the owners of the hall—stand operators told us who first tried to charge less money. Above all, hygiene is pretty much neglected during street food. I have a pretty strong stomach but have gotten sick several times. The same wet gloves touch cash and food, lettuce is not washed, etc. etc. Every now and then we go for fresh pasta at Mani or for sourdough bread. A coffee at Kaffee 9, with its big windows and albatross croissants, is nice even on a winter day. Otherwise... well.

Great fun, plenty of wine stalls. We had beautiful French oysters and wine. There were a number of other yummy looking stalls.
