We were there on Street Food Thursday. It was very busy, which isn't surprising with all the delicious food!

Lovely. Tons of food options. The street food market is incredible (Thursdays). But naturally, because it is super cool, it is very very packed.

Whenever I’m in Berlin I visit this place for its’ atmosphere, variety of foods and drinks. The pasta place is definitely my favourite as I rarely find pasta outside of Italy cooked to such perfection!

Much more personal and relaxed in a market hall. The atmosphere is simply worth a visit and very inviting.

We did a beer tasting at the small brewery where they have incredibly delicious craft beers fresh on tap. The other food stalls were also okay. In my opinion, you absolutely have to try the dumplings there – they're super tasty and located right across from the brewery/beer counter.

A fantastic experience experiencing Berlin's nightlife and gastronomy. Highly recommended for a Thursday afternoon. Bring your own cup 👍

We came to experience a different kind of dinner. It was very crowded, but it was fun. They have street food from various countries. But I still preferred Turkish gözleme (a type of flatbread) with Turkish tea :) My daughter got a different kind of vegan crepe from Asian cuisine. She was happy too :) Everyone will find something to enjoy there.

Fantastic market with lots of food options. Cuisine from all over the world. I recommend visiting on a Thursday when the kitchen is open from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food.

Great options for food. Buy your drinks from the Spotify outside to save money. The prices are similar to London food markets. Grab your food and head outside to the nearby park or choice yard to enjoy without the crowds.

I was genuinely surprised to discover so much authentic market activity here. The only downside is the annoying, affected scene types… They're so tiresome… But I suppose they belong here.

A trendy spot in Berlin, this market boasts a multitude of food stalls from all over the world. It has a great atmosphere, but the food is considerably more expensive than in any other bar or restaurant in Berlin.

Great food choices with amazing variety and quality. All in one place. Only downside is, it's not a secret place so expect a bit of waiting time to find seating or make new friends at a long table.

Markthalle Neun has a lovely atmosphere; the people are very child-friendly, and it's simply fun to sample the offerings at the Street Food Thursday stalls. It's a collection of Berlin's best caterers. Always worth a visit!

Today I ordered aubergine stew in this restaurant, but instead I was mistakenly served aubergine stew. When I pointed this out to the waiter, my suggestion was unfortunately not accepted and it was insisted that this was the correct order. This behavior was very disappointing for me, as I had expected that the error would at least be checked and corrected. I hope that the management will take this problem seriously and in the future show more care and better treatment of the guests. Today I ordered aubergine stew in this restaurant, but I was mistakenly served aubergine stew. When I informed the waiter, unfortunately they did not accept it and insisted that it was the same dish that was ordered. This behavior was very upsetting to me, as I expected that at least the error would be checked and corrected. I hope that the restaurant management will look into this matter and be more careful and treat the customers better in the future.

I had the chance to go on Thursday, and it was truly amazing. You can find street food of every taste and flavor. I think it's definitely worth experiencing.

Small, expensive, and limited selection

Loud, crowded, diverse, fascinating, delicious. We really enjoyed it and the food was great. There's something for every palate here. Unfortunately, there aren't enough seats, but it is a market after all.

A must-see. The market hall has been around for over 100 years. Many different vendors offer food and drinks. The oysters at Monsieur Gollard's were fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Pure enjoyment.

An evening of culinary delights that was hard to beat. Delicious drinks and dishes, some from all over the world, perfectly rounded off the visit to Berlin.

There were so many stalls and so much food. I just wanted to try all. There was diversity in food and so many delicacies. One can also find a lot of vegan options, which I really loved. I tried Matcha Green tea ice cream. Also tried baklava. My friends tried some Chinese food, cookies, pizza slices, meat burger and meat balls. The stalls are arranged so well that it’s easy to roam in between. We went on Sunday and there was an entry fee of 3 euro. There was a queue but it went fast. We really enjoyed and hope to visit soon to try more delicious food. But it was difficult to find seats as we wanted to sit and chat. But eventually we found.

We were there late in the afternoon. Many market stalls were already closed. The market hall was also very empty. The visit was still worthwhile, though.

We were there yesterday afternoon; we had to wait in line for a long time, but it was worth it.

Extremely long queue. Unfortunately, we couldn't get in.

We didn't know there was a special event on with an entrance fee, which we should have looked up in advance. But the door staff were really rude! Were really grumpy, wouldn't answer our questions or tell us anything about the event.

A Berlin institution!! Go try out everything! Meat lovers need to have the barbecue tho. A must. Also their mimosas with natural wine were precious.

I couldn't eat or look around because I was immediately asked to leave since I had dogs with me and there was nowhere to leave them. Basically, the market is no different from the one in town, except it's covered. Well, it was a complete flop. I walked all the way there specifically.

The market itself is bigger than I expected, and while there isn't a huge variety of goods for sale, each booth seems to be of pretty high quality. It is a tourist spot where you can spend at most about 30 minutes. Prices are generally on the higher side than expected, and many places only accept cards. Since there are many vintage shops and select boutiques nearby, I expected a hip vibe, but it felt a bit like a hoodie… (I actually walked around within a 2km radius).

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's the perfect plan to avoid the typical Berlin sights, and I also recommend wandering around the neighborhood. My favorite spot in the market was an Argentinian empanada stand. The market also has the famous vintage photo booth, so you can take home a nice souvenir.

An area with many ethnic and local street food options....on a nice day, you can relax in the adjacent park after visiting the museums.

Nice selection of overpriced products!

Overpriced hipster spot The food is good, but you have to eat 3-4 portions to even begin to feel full. This is the concept explicitly desired by the owner. I own a street food truck myself and once applied there. After the owner tasted my food, he told me the portion was far too large, but the price was absolutely reasonable. He wants the portions to be small so that people try several things. I find this counterproductive and completely unjustified given the high prices. Except, of course, for the owners. If you want people to try several things, then by all means offer smaller portions, but then please adjust the prices accordingly. It's better to go somewhere else where the prices reflect the portion size. Here, you're clearly paying extra for the trendy location. That's why you find 80% tourists who only come once and then never again, or people with a lot of money who don't care about paying 20 euros for a small portion of pasta, of which you need three to feel full. The products and the atmosphere are actually top-notch, it's just a shame that you can rarely afford it because the concept dictates that you have to spend at least 50 euros to get halfway decent food.

This review based on the Thursday night we’ve experienced only. We were so excited to go for street food night at the market but ended up very disappointed. It’s overwhelmingly busy, food looks good but it was way too hot and not enough seat. We decided to leave and went somewhere to eat nearby instead.

On March 22 Markthalle Neun is partnering in an event that openly advocates for boycotting Israeli Jewish food producers. I have always loved coming here and it’s sad to see the venue openly embracing such a divisive event that separates people rather than brings together through food.

Markthalle Neun is a really interesting food market with a lot of potential, but timing definitely matters. I went on a Friday evening expecting more of the stalls and restaurants to be open, but surprisingly many were already closed by around 7pm. That said, the market itself is still worth visiting. The produce, meats, and specialty products across the different stalls all looked incredibly fresh and high quality. It has that authentic European market feel where you can tell the ingredients are taken seriously. I did find an Italian spot that was still open, and the food there was excellent — simple, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Even though many places were closing, the quality of what was still available made the visit worthwhile. Overall, it seems like Markthalle Neun is probably best experienced earlier in the day or during one of their food events. If you time it right, it looks like it could be an amazing place to explore.

Markthalle Neun is a really interesting food market with a great mix of vendors. You’ll find everything from a flower shop, bakery and butcher to small restaurants and international food stalls. It’s a great place to walk around, try different cuisines and discover new products. The atmosphere is lively and authentic, with lots of locals coming here to shop, eat and spend time. Whether you’re looking for fresh ingredients or just want to try a few different dishes in one place, it’s definitely worth a visit.

We went on a Thursday and we have to say the international food market is definitely worth a visit. The prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and there are plenty of options to share, try different dishes, and enjoy the experience. Everything we tried was delicious, homemade, and freshly prepared.
