Markthalle Neun in Berlin

It's been some time since I was there with my 89 year old mother. She liked it and it was a great memory.

Wow! What a great offer! We were particularly impressed by the wine stand “The False Frenchman” :-)

It was very pretty architecturally. My mistake was that I wasn't hungry when I arrived. The artisanal breads, cheeses, pickles, meats and traditional German fare were reasonably priced but I liked the pharmacy which also shared the premises. Very family friendly venue and great for a break from the hard work of walking around a neighbourhood with loads of little bars.

We love Markthalle Neun, especially on street food days! Our friends from Spain were very enthusiastic, they don't know anything like that, only local food. The colorful hustle and bustle, the babble of voices, the many people, the almost endless range of food from all over the world is simply incredibly great!

The Markthalle Neun on Eisenbahnstrasse in Berlin Kreuzberg. A visit that is definitely worth it. A leisurely walk in the market hall with culinary and homemade items. From drinks to food to flowers and art, everything can be experienced. Whether it's homemade cheese, delicious pasta, Asian dishes, bread in every flavor, fresh fish, tacos and flowers. Various events are also occasionally offered. From cooking courses, coffee festivals, bread baking to snack markets and wine tastings and much more. Prices are affordable and you can pay with cash or card. Definitely worth a visit if you visit Berlin.

Phenomenal market that is packed with brilliant little vendors. It can be a bit chilly but absolutely worth visiting, and the proximity to the East Side Gallery makes it even more worthwhile for anyone in the area!

Many interesting stands, a large selection of permanent and changing offers. Many providers of food, including a lot of unusual things at affordable prices. For anyone visiting Berlin, it's definitely worth a visit.

I was there for Street Food Thursday. The offering is very diverse, the price is a bit high and the atmosphere is like a marketplace. Due to the local conditions, it is very loud and there are not enough seats available. I can recommend cheese spaetzle, the small portion costs €7. In order to be able to try out different specialties, smaller (and therefore cheaper) portions would be desirable.

I was there yesterday with a colleague of mine and I have to say the selection of food is breathtaking. First we treated ourselves to a cold beer, which is probably produced in the hall, then we continued through the stands, where you don't know where to start because of the large selection and everything was rounded off with a fresh smoothie which was a vitamin rooster. All in one, a very successful evening.

Overall, in my opinion, overrated, but it was worth visiting . Just to know the place! Maybe next time will be not overcrowded... you need more space, guys! 😆🫡

The market hall is very traditional for Berlin and certainly has its fans, and rightly so. There are high quality products made by hand. However, the atmosphere is a bit cool and doesn't really invite you to linger. We were there on a Tuesday, which is probably why not all the stalls were open.

Varied choice of street food, there is something for everyone. Remember to take cash, bank cards are not accepted everywhere

I imagined it would be bigger. But I enjoyed the cheese fair6.

A market hall like there used to be. Small brewery and various shops/restaurants, just great.

Thursday evening great food truck festival

Expensive but interesting because there is a lot on offer at the stands that you can't get everywhere. We didn't have much time, will come back next time with more time. But parking in this place is a disaster if you're not lucky.

The prices are slightly higher, as usual for fresh market goods. But that wasn't so bad because it was a great event

Great location where people next door shop and tourists fill up the whole thing. The area around Kreuzberg is also worth a visit. All culinary wishes are fulfilled here. Visit it yourself and look at the homepage with the changing food market.

Beautiful old market hall with a mixture of market stalls and street food market as well as a wine shop. Very pleasant atmosphere. There are also a few seating areas. Always happy to come.

The market is somewhat disappointing. Just a few options of food. Very limited seating space so after getting our dumplings and currywurst we had to eat standing. And it was not even a busy day.

Okay compared to Lisbon, Copenhagen and Amsterdam.

Beautiful busy market hall in Kreuzberg. There are food, fruit and vegetable stalls. There is also a DM drugstore in the hall. Definitely worth a visit and purchase!

Very nice market hall with a wide range of vegetables, cheese, meat, fish, spices, wines, bakery products, cakes and tarts, flowers. Rich selection of food...where you can also sit comfortably. You should definitely make a note when visiting Berlin

Many different, high-quality and high-quality products. Very tasty bread. Great homemade chilli sauces. Very tasty Turkish manti. (But unfortunately everything is a bit expensive..)

Street food on Thursday is an experience. Pretty crowded, of course. Happy is the person who finds a place to sit. Lots of different food options, super tasty!

My recommendation. I thought it will be a huge place without soul, but in real life it was much better..a cozy place, where you can meet people from the neighbourhood, buy organic and fresh products and get your lunch. Really a lovely place!

If you want a slightly upscale beer drinking experience, come to Markthalle! The beer is great, and the cheese pairs excellently. The staff could not be friendlier.

Have been here during the street food festival and also on regular days. good selection and not that expensive! many people for the festival on thursdays so beware :)

This review is pertaining to Street Food Thursdays. The food available here is truly great and I find the price points very reasonable, I cannot however give this Market more than a 2 star rating, as it does not prioritise its disabled customers at all. There should be a disabled seating area or at the very least signs that encourage the able bodied to make space for disabled guests. Some of you should be deeply ashamed at yourselves for the way you just ignore and essentially push a disabled young woman to get seating. The way I have been treated at this Market is truly disgusting and I don't know why I should continue to accept this treatment. If you are disabled, think twice before going here.

There are interesting dishes but the prices are quite high. And after a portion of whether it's Chinese or spaetzle, you'll definitely still be hungry...

i had an absolutely amazing experience here with my girlfriend. it has such a lovely, live atmosphere with a ton of unique eats at reasonable prices. must recommend activity to escape the cold winter months of berlin!

Markthalle 9 is an extremely good place in Berlin to eat well and enjoy first-class wines. You can also shop wonderfully here. A little crowded on the weekend but an absolute recommendation in the evening and during the week.

Lots of food options with seating area. You can visit this place after checking our charles bridge. Note that it closes at 6, except on thursdays.

Not a huge food market, but medium-sized and super delicious food at reasonable prices. Good for children too.

This is nice place to try a lot of food at once! The place looks really comfy and cute and the food there was also nice. I got some bakery there from the place at the corner and it was really really good. I went back on Monday and it says it opens from Minday (12.00) but when I got there. They barely have anything open yet and most of the shops were still not open and still preparing. Well, will definitely going back again next time in when I'm in Berlin! 🥰

Awesome place. ATTENTION: the market offers its best only on THURSDAY EVENINGS. If you go on other days, half of the things are closed or not there.

High expectations due to the hype when you read the blogs etc. Maybe we got there too late, 4.45pm, but there were only a handful of stalls open and few visitors present. We bought a few pizza slices that were fine, but otherwise we didn't find anything that appealed to us, since there were only 2 stalls open with street food. Too bad, I expected more.

Delicious world food market! We tried the Argentine empanadas with chimichurri, two pieces of pizza in front of the vegetables and a hot dog. I repeat, everything is delicious. I was expecting something shabbier and uglier, but it's great. Plus it was Saturday and they had put some wooden games for children outside and my daughter loved them! 100% memorable!!

I love going there on Saturdays. Very nice market hall with good offers and still acceptable prices. There is a small area outside for children with a few marble runs and a small slide.
