Marios Holzbackofen in Neuwied

Not recommended. We ordered delivery and had to wait over 1.5 hours. The delivery time was changed several times. The burgers were dry, the salad old and soggy. Some items were missing from the delivery. When we called the restaurant, it was nearly impossible to have a conversation due to language barriers; they put a customer on the phone instead. They didn't offer a refund. I will not order from here again. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Absolutely delightful little bar. Definitely a local spot. We just decided to stop in for a drink and most things are closed on Wednesdays around town. Beer was cold, with one beer on tap. The owner was very welcoming along with the local patrons! Out of all of Germany this was one of my favorite places we stopped!

Ideal for a quick bite to eat after work! Simple but delicious pizzas. Don't expect a 5-star chef's pizza from a fine-dining establishment.

We landed here quite by chance on a rainy day and had absolutely no expectations. Moments like these are often the ones when life throws a little treasure at your feet. As soon as we entered, we were struck by the gigantic selection of cakes, true little works of art. We actually ate the most delicious cake of our lives there. Naturally, we wanted to know where these masterpieces came from. The answer: from the boss herself, who bakes fresh every day. A person full of humility and dedication. We were even able to thank her personally. It felt like congratulating an artist who prefers to let her work speak for itself. It's all the more sad that she's retiring at the end of the year. So if you want to enjoy the best piece of cake of your life, you should definitely head to Neuwied Zoo this year. Whether it's sunny or rainy, this cake can make any weather better.
