I'm absolutely convinced this place is really good. The team is great, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is fantastic. I'm not from Frankfurt, but I'll definitely be coming back.

Recently on business in Stadt Mitte, twice we were cheated by 2 renowned Italian restaurants, that claimed to serve the very best pizza in the city. The 1st had the nerve to serve a child’s portion pizza covering only 2/3 of the plate, yet charged €20,00. The 2nd served a frozen Dr. Oetker crust pizza that was tasteless, and yet had the audacity to charge €24,00 In today’s declining economy where the majority of restaurants are cheating, Mario & Lino are the epitome of outstanding quality and VALUE. Salerno, Italy born & raised Owner / Executive Chef Cono, grilled for me one of the very best steaks that I have ever enjoyed during my 14 years in Frankfurt. Succulent, tender, very thick cut and amazingly flavorful ~ effective immediately, Mario & Lino is my go-to restaurant for steaks! Accompanied by my childhood favorite fresh-cut French Fries, I was in F1 heaven, and so happy that I shifted gears. My wife Christine was totally dazzled by her Truffle Tortelloni. Hand prepared by Chef Cono, the delicate tortelloni were enhanced by a very generous portion of truffles. As Gabrielle, the Bon Vivant General Manager exclaims, Mario & Lino cooks and serves from the heart ~ LA DOLCE VITA!

Super delicious! A very warm welcome! Very, very good, authentic Italian! So if you like Italian food, this is the perfect location. The prices are also quite reasonable. All in all, it was a really good find. See you next time!

We recently celebrated my father's birthday with a small family gathering. From the very first minute, it was clear: hospitality is paramount here. The welcome was warm, the service consistently attentive and with a keen sense of the moment. I would particularly like to highlight the support with a small surprise: I had organized a cake in advance and was able to easily hand it over to the staff. The handover was lovingly integrated – a lovely gesture that shows how much attention to detail is paid here. The food was excellent: freshly prepared, perfectly flavored, and generously portioned! Each plate was presented with attention to detail; you can tell the cuisine is top-notch, and the price is unbeatable considering the quality. I have rarely eaten so well and yet so relaxed. A real highlight for me was the Aperol Spritz. I usually need two or three glasses to really notice something, but here one glass was actually enough. Not because it was too strong, but because it was perfectly mixed: balanced, fresh, well-chilled, and definitely not skimping on the alcohol. Overall, it was one of the best Aperol Spritz I've had in a long time. The other drinks were also of high quality and prepared with great care. Despite the official closing time of 10 p.m., we weren't pressured at all. Quite the opposite: we were able to cut the cake in peace, enjoy it, and end the evening comfortably without the feeling that anyone was watching their watch. This patience and friendliness are truly something we can't take for granted and deserve great praise. Conclusion: It was a thoroughly successful evening that we will remember for a long time. Mario & Lino is, for me, clearly one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at; we'll definitely be back!

Yes, once again something good for a normal price, here you get the best pizza ever, here as a guest you can see the constant food being picked up at the door frame. The pizza 🍕 is really a treat and you can order it or have it delivered. I'd rather go there and eat whatever toppings I want. Mostly with friends!

I’ve been a regular visitor to Mario & Lino, and it never disappoints. One of my absolute favorites here is the Seafood Aglio Olio pasta, easily one of the top 3 best Aglio Olio pasta I’ve had worldwide. The balance of flavors and the perfectly cooked seafood make it an exceptional dish every time. Another standout is their tomato bruschetta, which is simply delicious, with fresh ingredients and a perfect crunch. If you’re looking for a drink, I highly recommend the Paulaner Hefeweizen Wheat Beer Light. It’s light, refreshing, and has fruity notes that pair wonderfully with the meal. Perfect for those who enjoy something flavorful yet not too heavy. To top it off, the staff are always friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great dining experience.

Nos dijeron que fuéramos a probar la pasta con salsa rosa o lo que algunos llamaban salsa ‘hello kitty’. Pedimos la versión marinera. Fue sabroso y me encanta la generosa porción de pasta y mariscos. También pedimos la parrilla mixta con filete de rabadilla de ternera, salchichas y cordero. Sin embargo, el filete me parece un poco demasiado cocido para el medio. Todavía estaba delicioso. Los platos venían con generosas porciones de verduras para ensaladas. No estaba demasiado ocupado cuando llegamos temprano antes de que la multitud de la cena viniera. Si estás por la zona, ¡pruébalo! Los precios son razonables también!

We were in Frankfurt to visit the trade fair. The restaurant was well booked so we had a place in the lobby of the restaurant without a reservation. It was cozy and very busy. The service was friendly and quick. As a starter you can recommend the Mario and Lino antipasti. Great 👍🏻. The pizzas are delicious and the dough is just like a pizza should be. What more could you want? We really enjoyed it and enjoyed it. Highly recommended and more than reasonable in terms of price.

From the outside you wouldn't expect such a great restaurant! Beautiful decoration, careful, everything clean. Very nice and quick staff. Great pasta, al dente, good taste and ingredients. Pizza also delicious, good wines.

Big praise and thank you from us! We had a last-minute large order for 20 people; Delivery arrived in less than 90 minutes, everything was complete and there were no mix-ups. Not to forget, nice delivery and very tasty :)

Honestly, this is our go to Italian restaurant in Frankfurt. The pizza, pasta, risotto, wine - all excellent, complemented by attentive service and delicious desert. We have been there tens of times by now and we even take friends & family there when we have visitors and they all agree it is incredibly authentic. This is the real insider tip of Frankfurt :) What to eat here: any pizza (number 1 and the aglio e olio are simple and excellent), the mixed antipasti platter, Bruschetta, risotto, lasagna, tiramisu

Can't appreciate the Hello kitty sauce. Taste wise generally ordinary. But I like the seating and the service.

The pizza mozzarella with eggplant was stable, the topping didn't slip off. The batter was appropriately thin, the eggplant wasn't too oily; but the edge could have been crispier. There was also still room for improvement when it came to spices.

I've been coming here to get my pizza for years. Great dough with delicious tomato sauce makes even the “simple” Margherita really delicious. The service is also nice, friendly and accommodating. Some other pizzerias on the street can learn something from this.

The Spinach with Mushroom was delicious, and that’s about the only thing that’s delicious there. The pasta standard has dropped, pasta was tasteless and we were furiously adding salt, pepper, chilli pepper, cheese to the various different pastas that we ordered. Service wasn’t as good as it used to be as well.

It was always a wonderful experience dining at Mario Lino. I love their pink sauce and how accommodating they are. Always welcoming with their bruschetta starter follow by their accommodating style of order taking. Never fail to order the Lambrusco and will always get a large bottle to bring home. Looking forward to my next trip to Frankfurt and will always be here to satisfied my pasta cravings.

This restaurant is in the top 3 of Italian pizza places in Frankfurt. Don't let the area or the outside of the building fool you, it is highly recommended to try this one. Authentic Italian pizza, made by experts who put care into what they serve. Staff is nice and they serve you quickly. Good selection of specialties including great wines. You will not regret your choice, whatever it will be. Desserts are also great. Not the coffee though. Interior is nice but a bit cramped. Note that the about of Rucola on my Pizza was a bit comedic, but it tasted delicious.

Came here on a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint. We were given bruschetta. So good. We then had the carpaccio and a pasta and pizza. Rosé and a couple of Spritz that were absolutely delicious! We came in after 8pm, it wasn't busy at all. Great service, food, prices, and atmosphere!

Sehr leckeres Essen zu wirklich noch vernünftigen Preisen. So wie Man sich einen guten Italiener vorstellt: sehr gute relativ hochwertige Karte mit allem, was man sich wünscht (z. B. Neben den Klassikern Kalbsschnitzel mit Steinpilzen) und einer kleinen oder feinen saisonalen Karte mit aktuell Pfifferlingen, Nudeln mit Trüffeln. Und das für absolut geerdeten Preisen. Und als reiner Familienbetrieb mit tollem sympatischen Service.

Authentic Italian meals, with a large choice of pizza and pasta. The pasta we ordered was delicious. The quantity is generous, especially for its price. The restaurant was full: we had to wait a bit to be seated and to receive our meals, so it's best to come when you're not in a hurry. Very nice experience overall
