Marienteichbaude in Harz (Landkreis Goslar)

We had dinner here last Sunday. It was all very consistent. We were warmly welcomed and served. The food was super tasty and plentiful. The ambience is also very nice and fits perfectly. 🤗

We ate very well. I really like it here again under new management. The menu has been expanded to include many interesting dishes. Very nice service.

Went there for dinner with our friends today. We've been here a few times now and we like it more and more. Staff super friendly and always time for a short conversation. Always feel welcome. We'll be back next year as soon as we get back from a long vacation.

We spontaneously went here for dinner today with 3 children and a small dog. The service was great and the food, we had a variety of main courses and almost all desserts, was super tasty. The price-performance ratio is very good. We can only recommend every Harz visitor to stop here at the Marienteich Baude

We have been here twice so far and were completely satisfied both times. The food is great, the waitresses are careful, quick and ultra friendly. The waiting time for the food is also quite short and the quality and taste are great (rarely have I had such good schnitzel before)! We'd love to come back when we're nearby.

We have visited this wonderful restaurant many times and have always returned home very satisfied and with a delicious meal. We have already tested everything...... birthday party, funeral service, brunch breakfast etc. and we were always very satisfied....... best regards to the whole team there.....you are great!

Clear recommendation for a refreshment after a hike. The menu really had a bit of everything, but not too much. The dishes were plentiful. Kaiserschmarrn and sandwiches were really good. The service was quick and very funny. The dog was also thought of. The playground provided variety for the kids and the nearby wildcat enclosure was also worth seeing! Gladly again! We actually wanted to go where everyone is: Torfhaus. We stopped here on the way home and absolutely loved it! Very polite hosts, great service and above all very tasty food!!! It's an insider tip! If you want to relax away from the overcrowded tourism, this is the place for you! If we're in the area, we'll definitely come back!

As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel comfortable, it smells very good and looks really cozy! The service was very friendly and gave the impression that they had still learned gastronomy. We had a wonderful surprise here this afternoon! So much warmth and really delicious food. The goulash soup and the baked potatoes with herb quark with lots of fresh herbs and a super tasty little salad. Simple can be so delicious! Thanks to the service and kitchen and a big recommendation to everyone not to drive past here! The wildcat station is also a facility worth seeing that we were happy to see and support.

We had linsentaler with chanterelles and roast red mountain beef with red cabbage and dumplings. Plus an Alster and a Rose. The food was impeccable, the beef in particular was beautifully tender. Our waitress was a real treasure. The atmosphere is a bit rustic (Baude), but very spacious, clean, airy. We felt comfortable and can confidently recommend it. Oh yes, and it's super accessible.

After the change of operator, the old hut has regained momentum. The various dishes we had at the table were all fresh and very good for the building atmosphere. Service was very nice and accommodating... I would be happy to visit the site again

We had game goulash, Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes, an additional small side salad and various drinks. The service was very friendly and very attentive, the employees were in a good mood. Special requests were also addressed without any problems. 👍🏻 The portions were very decent for us as good eaters. Both tasted very good. 😋👍🏻 I also thought the fried potatoes were well made. Particularly noteworthy here is the side salad made exclusively from fresh ingredients with homemade croutons/dressing (also the salad garnishes on the plates). The schnitzel also deserves a special mention. I don't like it when a schnitzel is completely plated down to a few millimeters and consists almost entirely of breading (I know, opinions differ here and tastes and preferences are very different), but I prefer the meat to be quite thicker . The schnitzel was an astonishing thickness of around one centimeter and was also quite large, but it was still very tender and juicy. Chapeau to the kitchen, who deserved and received special praise. 👏🏻 CONCLUSION: Clear recommendation, definitely would like to come again. 😊👍🏻 I'm willing to pay a little more for regional ingredients, very good quality and delicious food. 💡 VICINITY: Wild animal feedings also take place regularly there, which can be observed from the observation tower and even directly from the restaurant. 🦌🐗 There is also the 🐱 Bad Harzburg Wildcat Adventure Center right next door, which is certainly worth a visit. There is also a playground and a beer garden/outdoor area to sit. It's just a shame that the bark beetle destroyed far too many trees 🌲 and unfortunately the surrounding area suffered a lot.

Nice restaurant with a beer garden and nice staff

Had something to drink in the beer garden. Nice ambience, friendly service and of course delicious drinks! Parking spaces are also available and there is a playground for children directly opposite the beer garden. Top!

The food was great! Super nice staff and fair prices for regional products. If we weren't tourists we would become regular customers.

A wonderful experience that I can only recommend. We arrived in the evening wet and hungry. We were immediately given a place to dry our things and we were served quickly. The waitress was incredibly nice, charming and made a lot of jokes. And then the food came. Good home cooking and sumptuous dishes that will fill you up even after a hike and taste incredibly good. You can also watch wild boars while you eat, as there is a feeding station there and you can visit a lynx enclosure next door. If you're nearby, you should stop by, even if it's just for a coffee. A big thank you to the whole team, you really saved our lives. PS: keep an eye out for the fox, he's very cute.

Spontaneous visit on the way home because we didn't like the restaurants at the Torfhaus. We were positively surprised, the food was delicious (pea and goulash soup), the drinks were served quickly and the service was super friendly and helpful. The only thing that was strange at first was that it looked closed from the parking lot. It's a shame, because neither the food nor the service should be hidden. Thank you for the lovely afternoon including a playground for the kids. 😊👍

When the weather was nice, we visited our sponsored kitten again and then had something to drink and eat here in the beer garden. The service was again very friendly. Today we decided on the large pea stew with corn baguette and wild brawn with fried potatoes. Both were very tasty and the portions are always generous. See you next time! We'd love to come back!

It was a completely successful evening! We celebrated a family celebration there with 20 people. Although our request was relatively short notice (1 week in advance), we received warm advice and special arrangements were no problem! We were given the opportunity to have our own room, which was lovingly prepared. We were also able to use our own additional decorations without any problems. We were able to put together the buffet ourselves and it was absolutely great! The service was quick and incredibly friendly. This didn't change even at a "later hour" and we never had the feeling that we were being "kicked out" - as has unfortunately been the case in other restaurants in the past after a certain time. Everyone was happy throughout and it definitely won't be our last visit there! Many thanks to the Marienteichbaude team. Keep it up.

Nice restaurant, with a great outdoor area to sit outside or take a walk. The furniture is a bit old and could be replaced at some point, but it should correspond to the rustic style of the house. The decoration could be a little more imaginative, just a little tip. There are plenty of parking spaces and the restaurant is easy to reach for people with walking difficulties. We all enjoyed the food, it came quickly, plentifully and hot from the kitchen. A schnitzel dish with a simple sauce and one or two chicken breast dishes would also be great on the menu. A big compliment to the kitchen and the two girls who served us. Very very friendly and considerate. Thank you very much ❤️. We will definitely come back, possibly on July 6th, 2024, to the Bikes🏍️ & BBQ🥩 event to see great motorcycles and eat delicious food from the grill. Continued success 🍀 and a big one: keep it up👍🏻

We were only there for a short visit, but were very pleasantly surprised. Observe wild boars & younglings while you can enjoy a really great meal. The restaurant offers beautifully prepared food.

Eat: Wild garlic pesto is very tasty. However, the vegetables didn't really harmonize with it, but it's still recommended Roast venison: very tasty and tender, definitely recommended Service: friendly, fast and a big plus point is a rating card. Great for getting opinions and reacting to them. Ambiance: nice decor and matching the food on offer. The concept of them is very nice.

I have known the restaurant since my childhood, once as Mariebteichbaude, then Jägermeisterbaude and now again as Marienteichbaude. The experiences of feeding the wild animals, which you could observe from the restaurant, were always particularly nice. Back then the owner also had raccoons. Even when our son was little, we often went to the game feeding sites. Even with the new tenants it is very nice there, great food, very friendly staff. Everything freshly prepared and regional dishes. You're happy to pay slightly higher prices. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio is right. We are thrilled with the transformation by the new tenants

We spontaneously went after the wild cats. Unfortunately, the menu was far too overloaded and with too many additional texts about any information about 20 pages of dishes and far too much text. Unfortunately the apple cake was bland and only with spray cream.... For the price, well. Unfortunately, the coffee also tasted very mushy. And our Alster was simply served in a cola glass, unfortunately nothing special and very sobering.

Well I can't say much about it. The first time they had a winter break and the second time they had a company holiday. But I think it's very nice there.

Cozy restaurant in the middle of nature, we were there to drink coffee...

Wunderbarer Ort im Harz. Die Tiere kommen bis ans Haus, die Küche hat wenig Gerichte, aber eben für jeden was und dafür besonders gut. Wunderschön eingerichtet, besonders das Jägermeisterzimmer ist erstklassig. Quasi auf dem Grundstück ist die NABU Station mit den Wildkatzen.

Rustikales Ambiente, aber die Speisen sind üppig und lecker. Wir haben den Kaiserschmarrn nur zu dritt geschafft! Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Und wir konnten Wildschweine und einen Waschbär beobachten! Mit Kindern top.

Tolles Restaurant mit netten Mitarbeitern, Parkplätze sind vor der Tür vorhanden.

Wir waren erst nicht sicher, ob tatsächlich offen ist, wurden dann aber sehr freundlich empfangen und exzellent versorgt. Kaiserschmarren, Erbsensuppe, Wildgulasch - alles Teil der im März 2023 noch leicht reduzierten Karte, die aber für alle Geschmäcker etwas geboten hat. Lecker, große Portionen, toller Service, faire Preise, authentische Einrichtung und Atmosphäre - und bei den Wildkatzen haben wir auch noch vorbeigeschaut. Ein toller Stop unweit von Torfhaus!

Wir sind spontan eingekehrt und waren begeistert. Super gemütlicher Gastraum mit Kamin. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Außerdem auch noch mega kinderfreundlich (genügend Hochstühle, Spielzeugkiste, Spielplatz). Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder.

Wir wurden heute sehr freundlich empfangen, das Personal war offen und sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind fair und das Ambiente hat uns sehr zugesagt.

Tolles-uriges Ambiente und wirklich sehr ansehnliche und leckere Speisen. Trotz das die Bedienung alleinig alles meistern musste,hat er stets seine Gäste freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Er hatte sehr viele Gäste zu bedienen und ließ sich seinen Stress nicht anmerken—> bemerkenswert! Puffer mit Apfelmus , Currywurst mit Pommes sehr zu empfehlen. Preis -Leistung sind TOP👍🏻

Ein ideales Ausflugslokal zur Stärkung bei Wanderungen etc. Kein Firlefanz, aber sehr ordentliche "bodenständige" Mahlzeiten. Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr kinderfreundlich 😊!

Wir bestellten Cappucino, dieser war gut. Dazu einen Käsekuchen, war ok, ich fand ihn etwas "wässrig". Außer direkt am Kamin fanden wir es doch etwas kühl. Der Kellner war sehr fix. Mit der Aufnahme der Bestellung als auch mit dem Bringen der Speisen (bei anderen beobachtet) Preis-Leistung finde ich angemessen. Es sind wirklich großzügige Portionen zu einem okayishen Preis.

Leider leider wegen Personalmangel nur 5 Gerichte auf der Karte und leider leider nur das Dessert (in der Woche in der ich dort war) ohne Fleisch. Sicher wechselt das Angebot hier regelmäßig und ich hatte nur Pech, ist aber auch eine Jagdhütte, also eigentlich gibts an der Auswahl nichts zu meckern :) Das hier ist ein schönes, gepflegtes Restaurant mit toller Aussicht. Preis/Leistung scheint in Ordnung zu sein!

Ich war bei einer Privatfeier dort.Es war sehr gemütlich und das Personal war phantastisch..dafür extra 5 Sterne...

Dieser Ort mit Fahrrad sehr schlecht erreichbar. Über die Bundesstraße sehr gefährlich! Über den Wald nur.

War auf der Durchfahrt. Die Erbsensuppe war in Prinzip fantastisch. Leider gab es an diesem Tag ein technisches Problem sodaß es an etwas wärme der Suppe gefehlt hat. Dafür gab es eine Limo dazu.

Leider ist die Gasstätte geschlossen. Der Imbiss neben der Gasstätte hat dafür geöffnet. Es gibt ausreichend Sitzgelegenheiten für einen kleinen Imbiss. Das Wildkatzengehege nebenan ist einen Besuch wert und sehr interessant ,ganz besonders für Kinder .

Super Essen (bestes Wildgulasch der ganzen Region, vor allem für diesen Preis!), sehr freundliches Personal, alles bestens! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Die Marienteichbaude war zwar geschlossen, aber der dazugehörige Imbiss war geöffnet. Super Erbseneintopf mit Würstchen, auch die Bratwurst ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr netter und lustiger Service. Die Bratwurst war mega lecker. Wir bekamen sogar noch Gulasch mit Spätzle zum probieren. Vielen Dank dafür. Wir kommen wieder.

Ein wahrlich uriges Restaurant mitten in weiter Flur im Harz. Wir haben hier zu einem kleinen Zwischenstop angehalten und waren positiv überrascht. Als wir jeweils eine Portion Kaiserschmarrn für meine Frau und mich bestellen wollten warnte uns der Kellner das es sich um sehr großzügige Portionen handelt und wir, eventuell, diese nicht schaffen würden. Er würde uns aber gerne eine zweite bringen falls gewünscht. Was soll ich sagen - er hatte Recht! Wo findet man in der heutigen Welt der Gewinnmaximierung soviel Ehrlichkeit?! Chapeau! Und gleichzeitig hat er mit seinen launigen Sprüchen zur Erheiterung beigetragen. Solches Personal kann man sich nur wünschen. Das so eingesparte Geld haben wir dann gerne im angegliederten Hofladen ausgegeben und uns mit regionalen Produkten eingedeckt. Desweiteren wird dort, nach unserer Feststellung bzw. der Aussage des Kellners, momentan einiges in die Hand genommen und der Außenbereich erneuert sowie renoviert. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und werden mit Sicherheit, bei unserem nächsten Harz Besuch, wieder dort einkehren.

Die Bedienung war super, die Chefin war schrecklich. Wir waren hier mit Kindern, haben fast 50€ Getränkeumsatz gemacht, und haben die Bedienung gefragt, ob wir kurz Obst für die Kids auspacken dürfen. Sie war total entspannt und hat zugestimmt. Da kam die Chefin angerannt und brüllte durch das ganze Gelände, dass Das nicht ginge. Sehr unangenehme Situation, zumal wir schon echt oft da waren und auch oft sehr viel und teuer gegessen haben.

Es war sehr leckere deutsche , regionale Küche! Erbsensuppe , Schnitzel und Bratkartoffeln richtig lecker! Frisch aus regionaler Fleischerei! Kompetente Bedienung! Gerne wieder. Nette, kleine Möglichkeit regionale Wurst vor Ort zu kaufen.

Sehr gute deutsche Küche in schönem, rustikalem Ambiente. Da das Restaurant zu einer Metzgerei gehört, ist die Küche fleischlastig. Das Fleisch ist aber immer super. Es gibt auch Wildbret und in der Saison fressen die Wildschweine und Hirsche direkt vor dem Fenster.

Baude trifft den Namen nicht. Außen Typisches Harzhaus, innen neu, modern gemütlich. Im Kamin brannte das Feuer und außer uns waren noch rund 20 Gäste hier. Da hier durchgehend warme Küche ist bekamen wir auch um 14:30 Uhr noch warmes Essen. Wir waren alle total begeistert. Frischer Salat als Beilage gibt es nur selten. auch die vegetarische Soße bei den Spaghetti war mit frischen Gemüse zubereitet. Ein Lob an die Küche. Tiere kommen erst gegen Abend.

Bevor wir uns auf den Weg gemacht haben, gab es dort ein gutes Frühstück. Lecker, reichlich und gut. Die Bedienung etwas reserviert!? Als Gast fühlt man sich nicht auf Anhieb herzlich willkommen.

An einem Mittwochnachmittag, ausser einigen Kaffeegästen war das Lokal leer. Begrüßung wurde nur zögerlich erwidert, auf die Frage, ob ich gleich bei der angesprochenen Servicekraft bestellen könne, hieß es: „Auch die Mc Donalds Generation müsse sich zunächst setzen“. Für den einen oder anderen mag diese Art der Kommunikation vielleicht normal sein, mein Verständnis von Kundenfreundlichkeit ist ein anderes.
