Dammhaus Kro - madsted in Harz (Landkreis Goslar)

We spent a lovely day in the Harz Mountains and stumbled upon the Dammhaus quite by chance. The welcome was very warm and we felt very welcome. After a short wait, the food was served, which was both visually and tastefully impeccable. The cake on offer is highly recommended. We'll definitely stop by again.

We have been coming to the Sperberhaier Dammhaus for many years on our Harz vacation. Delicious food and drinks, friendly service, great ambience, we would love to come here again.

We stopped here spontaneously for a very tasty currywurst fries... it was very good and the service was very polite and nice 😀

Very good home cooking! In business you feel like you've gone back in time, which I find very positive. It just fits together. From the nice welcome, to the ambience, to the cuisine that tastes like grandma's! I love it!

Catering facility in an old-fashioned German atmosphere. Had delicious apple pie and strawberry pie.

Unfortunately I can't give a good rating. Out of 10 meals ordered, 3 meals simply forgot to be delivered. This results in a long waiting time. We spent about 1.5 hours there. The taste was okay. But the staff seemed very overwhelmed.

It is not possible to visit the Harz without stopping by here. Fried potatoes as they should be, sour meat to die for and an egg pancake like your mother makes. Plus the extremely friendly service. The beer garden is wonderfully rustic. Oh, you don't want to leave anymore...

We were thrilled! The pork medallions were perfectly fried, slightly pink and super juicy. The trout and venison leg were equally excellent. Price performance is still right here.

Always happy to go there - no matter what time of year. The food here is still cooked in-house, which is something you hardly find anymore. Cakes and waffles are also highly recommended - but if you've had the main course and an appetizer you'll be really full. The service staff are really very attentive and friendly - yesterday I was served by Mohammed - just thank you for the good service and the tip of the day, the wedding soup.

Ate there with 10 people after a hike. The food was delicious for everyone. Even simpler dishes like currywurst and fries were freshly and deliciously prepared and the beer was freshly tapped. Everything was served very quickly and cordially. We would love to come back here!

I was there again on a warm autumn day and for sure the very last time. Everything was free outside but a tour group was announced, everything was ok. The boss then suggested two tables for us, whereupon I chose the second one a little further away...then she got snotty and said that was clear, but she suggested it herself...so did the daughter, we have to walk that far, also stroppy... So none of my friends or family come back or get vouchers etc. The store doesn't need it.

My father and I had a spontaneous meal here today. A really quaint and down-to-earth inn. There is an outdoor area designed with so much love for good weather. The food, we had the charcoal pan, was really delicious and freshly prepared. The selection of food and drinks is definitely perfect, whether it's Harz specialties or currywurst, there's something for every taste. And there's nothing to complain about in terms of price either. The service was super nice, what more could you want...

We were on vacation in the Harz for a week, ate here three times during that time and always received excellent and friendly service, even when the restaurant was full. The food is of good quality and tastes great, as does the cake. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back.

Was there on September 1st, 2024 and found it very cozy. I ordered a piece of apple pie. It was super delicious, like my grandma's. I would have loved to take the whole tray of apple cake with me.. Thank you for this delicious cake..🤗👍👍

We were thrilled, we were there with 6 adults and 2 kids and everything was excellent. We agreed that we had never eaten such an outstanding venison goulash before, it was really great. Keep it up.

I only ate the huge cream puff, but it lived up to its name. Very tasty and above all not too sweet. The waitress is a little snored and has to be called to the table, but maybe it was just too warm and the day was already too long and too strenuous. In any case, napkins would be appropriate for eating. Especially when you eat a cream puff. Because it can only be eaten using your fingers. And they look accordingly. The cakes and savory dishes on the nearby tables looked and smelled delicious. Portion size also seems decent.

It's just beautiful here. We really enjoy coming here when we take a short trip to the Harz Mountains. You sit beautifully in the green, the food is delicious and the service staff is always very friendly and quick. There is a small, manageable menu, but everyone will find something to suit their taste. The price performance ratio is very good. See you next time

It's chanterelle season right now, I had them with great schnitzel and crispy fried potatoes for just under 24 euros, it was very tasty! You can sit outside when the weather is nice, but it's also very comfortable inside. Please note the opening times: it ends at 6 p.m.!

Great place. We came here by accident, because everything in the area is open from 5 p.m. and here you could easily eat at 3 p.m. The food was delicious. The roulade was a hit, so soft that you could cut it with a fork. Huge portions of cake, although we didn't eat them because we were already full, but our neighbors did. There are fresh flowers from the meadow on the tables, also a nice detail. We will definitely come here again.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Yes, it was busy and we were immediately told that the food was taking a long time. In order. It took 20 minutes for a drink to come to the table. When the food came after almost 1.5 hours, we were very hungry. The portions were okay in size, but the quality of the food was unfortunately poor. The chicken in the salad wasn't cooked, the dressing was from the bottle. The spaetzle drowned in sauce and with too many flavor enhancers. The staff seemed overwhelmed, but tried their best. At least the younger colleagues were friendly and did their best to keep track of the many tables and guests. The boss was our highlight: sitting at the shady table right at the entrance in front of the ringing telephone and chatting with regular guests. Very helpful. The location is good, but I think we'll look elsewhere for a quick drink after a hike soon. It's a shame, the store has potential.

Not recommendable: Unfortunately we had a very unfriendly waitress (a bit older, dead blonde hair). She didn't know her own range and only gave snappy answers. We waited about an hour for goulash soups (which usually just have to be filled into the bowls)... A drink was forgotten... The waitress seemed overwhelmed and snapped at her colleague in front of the guests for no reason, unprofessional and simply unpleasant. There wasn't much going on when we were there- No wonder with this service

The ratio of side dishes to the main ingredient is not correct. Side dishes are enough for 2 people. Before you get to the end it's cold. But there are too many side dishes for that. Photo shows everything. The hunger from the trip squeezed it in. Rustic ambience adapted to the region. In need of some renovation. Service OK, but e.g. There was no demand as to whether the food was OK, even though there was little activity. But the sanitary area is great! Oh yes, 33 years after the political upheaval, people are still talking about East and West! Bad attitude for a location that is located in the middle of Germany. I probably won't come back.

The best schnitzel we have eaten in a long time. Nothing comes out of the chest or bucket here and you can taste it! Handmade schnitzel with really delicious hunter's sauce with proper fried potatoes and a small side salad. And the portion size is such that even whole food Germans get their fill. All of this at a fair price. Highly recommended! We will come back in any case!!!
