Great food, great service I can only recommend it🍽️

The food was ok. The service staff weren't exactly customer-oriented, especially the lady at the counter.

Inferior food is sold for expensive money. You can often see the owner buying the ingredients in Lidl. But luckily this chip shop is now bankrupt!!!!

We go to MaPaSo every time we are in Saarbrücken. It's just fun. Everyone gets their own fondue at the table. They have very different things: oil, vegetable broth, ... of course also chocolate. You order 2-3 options for fondue, e.g. steak, salmon, etc. in 100 gram portions, plus small side dish portions. Special gag: Ordering is done via iPads embedded in the table. So you can quickly order a dish and it will be there two minutes later. Also great: lots of vegan options. Not a problem for my wife, who has celiac disease (= gluten intolerance). It is rounded off by a very friendly service team. I'm already looking forward to our next visit to Saarbrücken.

We were there for the second time in the evening. It was very good again. The quality of the food was absolutely top. The service was excellent. Food and drinks came very quickly. All in all great and absolutely recommended.

If I had been here for the first time, I would never come back!!! Despite making a reservation, we were initially put off because there was no space. It's okay for a few minutes... No idea what's going on, but 1 hour waiting time for the first drinks and 1.5 hours for the food, which arrived totally squandered. By the time everything was on the table, my raw meat was warm and my fries were cold. The service staff was friendly and clearly tried hard. The boss's constant unfriendly announcements and the way he and his employees bleated in front of the customers are not acceptable at all!! Many left without the food coming or canceled because nothing came for ages. The ingredients were at the neighboring table and after more than 30 minutes and only after asking twice, the cheese for the fondue arrived. The drinks counter was temporarily unmanned for up to 30 minutes. The lady there didn't necessarily leave a friendly impression on the customers either. We had to wait 30 minutes for the bill to pay, as only the boss can collect in person. Not a word about the chaos or an apology. That would have been the least I would have expected! The service guys were more than trying and were visibly pissed off by the way they were treated. I'm sure I won't be going there again anytime soon... Unfortunately

After waiting two hours we went to McDonalds without eating. Plus, it's not exactly warm there.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience in the restaurant. When we got there, we stood in the doorway area for about five minutes until we were finally told which table we could go to. Several employees walked past us, but apparently only one specific employee was allowed to give us the seat. When we were sitting at our table and would have liked an explanation about the fondue, the technology behind it and the various selection options, a separate employee had to come first. This again led to a long waiting time, which was unfortunately accompanied by unfriendliness. Ordering the dishes via the tablet went smoothly, but the subsequent waiting time was extremely long. The food itself was delicious – we can’t complain about that. However, when we wanted to pay, we had to wait again for over half an hour because there was only one employee responsible for the cashier. Despite repeated requests, we were not charged because this employee was instead talking to guests at another table the whole time, which we could obviously see. When he finally came to us, he told us that card payment was not possible. I asked him why we weren't told this at the start of our visit. His answer was that he had been in the kitchen all day. I then replied that there were other employees who served us with food and drink and could have informed us. Afterwards I learned that the problem with card payment is probably not uncommon in this restaurant. Unfortunately, due to the poor service and the extremely long waiting times, I cannot recommend the restaurant. We probably spent about 1.5 hours waiting there.

The food itself is good, but you have to wait forever until you get something. Because of these strange tablets in the table that you use to order, it can happen that you make a typing mistake and later order things that you didn't want. It's complicated if you don't know your way around. After eating you smell as if you had bathed in a hairdresser and your eyes are burning from the hot grease. You can go here once, but you don't have to if you want to go somewhere else later or spend a more comfortable evening.

I would go there again and again and it took us about 2 hours You can go there with a tablet (at the table) which is very handy We also had a chocolate fondue for dessert, but you should definitely leave room for that 😋

Super delicious! It was really great at MaPaSo. A really great concept came from a family background. Something different than a run-of-the-mill restaurant that you can find on every corner. I can really recommend everyone to try it :)

So first of all, if you go to a fondue restaurant and complain about the smell of oil, unfortunately there is no help. Anyone who knows anything about exhaust systems knows that it is simply NOT possible to filter the air QUIETLY. If you turn on the exhaust air -> it says “it’s too loud”. If the exhaust air is set to a low level -> “you smell of oil”. As you can see, you just can't please everyone! Now to the actual topic. The food is first class. Unique quality of meat, fish etc. Even the fries are really delicious! The service is also very good. Problems are dealt with immediately and professionally. Ambience is also nice. All in all, just a great place to enjoy very, very tasty food! Gladly again at any time 😋

Called, no answer. Online reservation, no response. Open according to Google.. found doors closed on site. After a while, someone from the staff opens the door and looks at us questioningly. When I asked if it wasn't open today, he said there was a technical problem and no excuse. Bad service, a shame. We traveled an extra 70 km.

Sadly, we will never know if the food was good. The wait staff was beyond rude, purely because we are not German and can't speak German. He's assuming we are idiots, yet we speak Japanese, English, Turkish and Spanish. Anyway, this quite shocking, as we've traveled all over the world and have never encountered such rude staff. It's a pity. We went to Mei Thai instead, and they were so welcoming!

Very long waiting time. 90 minutes until we finally had our food. A schnitzel had to be returned twice because it was still raw!!!! The boss didn't think it was necessary to come by. Nobody was interested!!!!

Today we spontaneously went to this restaurant as a group of five and were kindly “squeezed in”. We were told on the phone that there might be a bit of a wait, which was completely fine with us. However, this waiting time ended with us having to wait a whopping 1.5 hours for our food. Orders here are placed via tablet, but there appeared to be a problem with the system that day. When we got the tablet, the previous guests' order was still pending and I accidentally sent it. I immediately pointed out to all the staff (service, kitchen and counter) that this was a mistake. However, everything from this incorrect order was brought to us - and I was given angry looks from the staff as if it was my fault. The drinks also went wrong: a cola that I ordered didn't arrive. When I asked, I was stalled with “it will be ready in 2 minutes”. Later they said there was no order at all and Keller turned around and left. When he asked if he couldn't just make a quick Coke anyway, I got it, only to get my previously ordered Coke 5 minutes later 'which didn't arrive' and unfortunately have it returned. The highlight was the head of the house. He came out angrily and lectured me to watch where I press on the tablet. He also didn't want to believe explanations that the order apparently arrived later. Absolutely rude and not customer focused! When we finally wanted to pay, we tried to calmly explain again that the service was absolutely inadequate. Instead of an apology or a solution, there was a discussion about how bad things are going for them. A real apology only came after repeated follow-ups - and only reluctantly. We were not offered any compensation. Instead, it was emphasized that we “didn’t have to be squeezed in”. Conclusion: The food was good, but we have never encountered such poor and disrespectful service. It's a shame, but you definitely lose guests that way.

We expected an interactive evening. Unfortunately we were disappointed. To be fair, there was nothing to criticize about the quality of the fondue ingredients. Conversing at the table for two is difficult because the tables are so large and you can only talk loudly sitting opposite each other, which of course increases the noise level in the restaurant. The service wasn't very friendly in 2 out of 3 cases and it's not possible to clear the dishes while you're still eating. Whether you absolutely have to wear a knitted hat when serving is probably a matter of taste. You also have to like ordering via tablet. It worked when ordering food, but not when you wanted to call service. The smell is also strong. We expected that the clothes would smell afterwards, but the fact that your eyes are burning is unpleasant. The price is okay, but the kitchen doesn't require any effort - other than cutting it into small pieces. A number of things were out - it's good that we looked at the invoice and were able to have orders that weren't delivered taken down later. Card payment was not possible. The problem has probably existed for a long time, there is no information about it on the homepage (supposedly due to problems with the internet, but the tablets work...) Nice try, but the first was also the last.

We were there with colleagues and had a wonderful evening. The food (fondue, schnitzel and also the vegan dishes) were very tasty 😋! The concept is great and the service with the trays at the table was easy to use. The service was also great. Quietly reserved but still attentive... that's how it should be! Waited 2 hours for the food. Bosses prefer to hide instead of acting confidently as hosts and send forward the waitress who has been working there for a day. The food was ok, but comparatively quite expensive. After the visit, the clothes smell like you've worked in a chip shop. In short, a not very pleasant evening that was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner.

The burger was incredibly tasty and perfectly balanced. The fries were nice and hot, crispy and just right! The schnitzel Parmigiana was also tasty and was enough for the next day. We spontaneously got a table for two and next time we'll try the fondue. See you soon and then gladly again!

Except for a group of about 10 people who were already eating when we arrived, everything was empty and we still waited an hour for our sliced ​​raw food and sliced ​​raw meat for fondue. The service wasn't friendly either, I asked for another table because our daughter was sitting at another table, and she actually said that it didn't work because of the table electronics. The other tables wouldn't be plugged in or anything like that. I thought that was really wrong, we probably won't be the only family with a child and that's anything but hospitable. I thought the idea of ​​a new fondue restaurant was good, but the implementation was bad. Lots of room for improvement.

A very nice restaurant. The owners were very friendly and accommodating both when making the reservation over the phone and during the visit. The menu is very extensive and there is something for everyone. (Fish, meat, vegetarian and not necessarily just fondue) Definitely worth a visit.

We were in the restaurant for the second time this evening and the next appointment has already been made. The ambience is really great and the service is so friendly. Rarely have we experienced such great hospitality. The concept is unique and very easy. At the beginning you get a short introduction and then you can get started. You order your pot and a selection to fry. From meat, fish, vegetables to dips and salads, there is really something for everyone. What I also think is really great is that the price is listed for each item and this gives you an overview of the total price. I can recommend the restaurant to everyone, even if you have a little less money, because you can order your food according to your own price. The selection is also large, varied and of high quality.

In itself you have to say that the concept is a really cool idea. But the implementation in this restaurant was an absolute disaster. We ordered for 6 people and were divided into three tables for 2, so communion beyond the tables was simply not possible. But what bothered us all the most and I've actually never experienced this before was the outrageously cheeky staff. Orders were forgotten, tablets didn't work and the problems were somehow blamed on the guest. Even in the ghetto you would have been treated better. During the meal the fondue was turned off even though it was clear that there was still food that needed to be prepared on the table and even in the fondue. Even the bill was wrong. No excuses NOTHING. The quality of the meat and food was still good, but we simply lost our appetite in this shop. Pepper, salt, cutlery are missing! Also expensive, expensive, expensive!!! The highlight of that evening was the exit from the restaurant and the kebab shop on the way back, a solid 5 stars, thanks for the nice welcome there.

We found this restaurant by chance and were interested to try it out. We did that and were really surprised at how good the food was. You always have the option to reorder. You will be advised to do this right from the start, so you don't get into the trouble of having a lot of the fondue left over. The service was a bit dissatisfied at the beginning, which we initially accepted with some skepticism. But that was resolved later. At that time there were only two people for service and kitchen and so it may take a little longer. The owner is very nice and answered a few questions for us. We can highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back on our next visit to Saarland because we liked and enjoyed it.

Today (August 24th) we had dinner at MaPaSo with three people. On the one hand, it has a very cozy atmosphere and also generous outdoor seating, which we unfortunately couldn't take advantage of due to the thunderstorm. The drinks were picked up and served quickly. Afterwards, a friendly gentleman (I think the boss?) explained to us how ordering via the tablet works. The food was served in a reasonable time and we all enjoyed it fantastically. I myself was skeptical at first as to whether fondue was the right food in midsummer, but: YESAAAA!!! Give it a try, it's a lot of fun, it's delicious, it stimulates conversation and, most importantly, your house won't smell like grease for 3 days if you make it at home. And if you don't like fondue, you just have to look for the other great dishes on the menu. The prices are all reasonable, so I think everyone will find something for their wallet. We felt very comfortable and would also like to thank the friendly service for a successful evening! We'd love to come back :-)

From the greeting, to the explanation of the ordering system, to the farewell, you feel welcome here. The waiter (and co-owner) takes a lot of time to offer his guests a unique restaurant experience. The food was very tasty, the portion sizes were ideal and everything was fresh and “light” on the stomach. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed being here and will definitely come back one or two times ☺️ In terms of price, you can get enough to eat for just €25 per person. We ended up with a very fair €35 per person.

Actually (still) an insider tip in Saarland. A visit here is totally worth it. You can eat cheaply, but also expensively. You have it in your own hands and everyone gets full. Even if you don't want fondue, there are alternatives. What the extremely people-friendly managing director has created here is phenomenal. I recommend listening to the instructions during the introduction. This was my second time visiting this location. I tried it out for the first time with my friends. We were particularly impressed by the sweet dishes. The second attempt started with my son, who was diagnosed with ADHD. Anyone who is familiar with the diagnosis knows the problems such children face. Of course, I am a mother who tries to teach my child rules of behavior in a restaurant. No matter how difficult it is. I really like the child-friendly staff, the location and of course the food on offer. Thank you. I really enjoy coming back again and again.

We became aware of MaPaSo through social media and took a long journey to try out this ingenious concept. What can I say, we weren't disappointed! All dishes are very fresh, all sauces and salads are homemade. You can't fake it, you just taste it. At first we were a bit at a loss as to how it worked - but we were instructed very patiently and in a very friendly manner. Was a great visit; perfectly implemented concept, interesting story behind the name and a very warm owner. We'd love to come back!

Too long waiting times for food, over 90 minutes.

We were completely alone, which was nice in itself, but the waiter still didn't come to ask if we would like to order more drinks. Also sometimes rude when asked, slightly passive-aggressive answers. When paying, no further questions about who is paying for what Food was delicious :)

We went to MaPaSo with friends to try something new. That was it and it all tasted good. The dips and side dishes were really nice, I especially thought the avocado chili fritters, which they fried themselves on site, were great. The caponata was also really fine, although very oily (but that's probably just the dish itself, I didn't know that before). The food and drink menu offers a good selection for everyone, including vegans. What we found annoying, however, was the high volume because it was very crowded, and the fact that despite the exhaust, the smell of grease and oil was constantly in the air and there wasn't much fresh air coming in. We also waited much longer than the announced 30 minutes for our dessert chocolate fondue, which took a long time.

Today we were at MaPaSo - Saarbrücken. However, my first encounter with the restaurant was by email or telephone. I had reserved a table for an evening by email (because I hadn't been able to reach anyone by phone for days), and this was also confirmed. Unfortunately I had to cancel this - again by email because no one could be reached by phone for days. The move of the table was also confirmed to me by email. On the original date I was called in the evening asking where I would stay, I had finally made a reservation for 6 p.m. with 6 people. After I explained that I had rescheduled the appointment by email and confirmed the new appointment by email, it was okay with the person I spoke to on the phone. Now for the evening: When we arrived we were greeted and given our table. We then went to the table, but since 3 of the 6 people were still missing, the gentleman wanted to come back to explain the system when everyone was there. We're still waiting for the explanation - after about 20 minutes the drinks were taken, we tried out the tray on our own and ordered it based on luck. Then the gentleman came again and said, “I see you've got it right, just don't order too much to start with, you can always order more.” In the meantime we sat there for 76 minutes, the pot with the oil arrived over half an hour ago , which is bubbling away... We don't have any meat or side dishes yet. The neighboring table with two people, who came a good half hour after us, is already eating. We were told up front that mushrooms were out. Shrimp in garlic are also empty - but normal shrimp are still available (can someone explain the logic to me here? Pickling them fresh in garlic would be an option). Almost 1.5 hours after I ordered, my side dishes arrived - would fried potatoes also work? Because rosemary potatoes would be out now(!). (Again the question of logic? Potatoes seem to be there - fresh pickling would be an option!) I could have killed someone with the white bread I ordered (I had cheese fondue). After a complaint they said “the boy is new in the kitchen and got the wrong bread”. The cauliflower we ordered was dirty (brown spots), the cucumbers in the cucumber salad were yellow = old. If fresh pickling is not an option, as a guest I have to assume that everything is prepared accordingly. THEN, however, I ask myself the question: Why do I have to wait 1.5 hours for my food? Statement from the waiter “this is a different system here than in other restaurants”; I know that - but in my opinion it doesn't justify it at all. I actually wanted chocolate fondue for dessert, but I passed it up... After I ordered the bill on the tray, Mr. Ludt came to the table and wanted to explain the bread thing again. I refused the explanation and told him that the whole evening was a failure for me. Answer: “Well, then I can’t change it”… that’s definitely not how you make money again from new customers 👍🏼 To cap off the evening, here's a little tip from me: When guests leave the restaurant, please check whether they are still standing in front of the door and can see you when you go to the next table (apparently regulars, were addressed as you) and tell them about our complaints while waving your hands in front of your face waves à la “they’re stupid”. This shop still has a lot to learn in terms of friendliness, speed, ability to take criticism and organization! Definitely not worth another visit.

Große Auswahl an Fondues, die Käsefondues sind aufjedenfall zu Empfehlen. Außerdem gibt es eine riesige Auswahl an Beilagen, Soßen und Zutaten zum Tunken. Das Tomaten Käsefondue ist besonders zu empfehlen. Der Service ist auch Hervorragend und sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant hat meine absolute Empfehlung

Sehr nette Bedienung, essen war vorzüglich lecker und schnell am Tisch. Mal was anderes, ein tolles Konzept, immer wieder gerne, wenn der Hunger ruft.
