In itself you have to say that the concept is a really cool idea. But the implementation in this restaurant was an absolute disaster. We ordered for 6 people and were divided into three tables for 2, so communion beyond the tables was simply not possible. But what bothered us all the most and I've actually never experienced this before was the outrageously cheeky staff. Orders were forgotten, tablets didn't work and the problems were somehow blamed on the guest. Even in the ghetto you would have been treated better. During the meal the fondue was turned off even though it was clear that there was still food that needed to be prepared on the table and even in the fondue. Even the bill was wrong. No excuses NOTHING. The quality of the meat and food was still good, but we simply lost our appetite in this shop. Pepper, salt, cutlery are missing! Also expensive, expensive, expensive!!! The highlight of that evening was the exit from the restaurant and the kebab shop on the way back, a solid 5 stars, thanks for the nice welcome there.

We found this restaurant by chance and were interested to try it out. We did that and were really surprised at how good the food was. You always have the option to reorder. You will be advised to do this right from the start, so you don't get into the trouble of having a lot of the fondue left over. The service was a bit dissatisfied at the beginning, which we initially accepted with some skepticism. But that was resolved later. At that time there were only two people for service and kitchen and so it may take a little longer. The owner is very nice and answered a few questions for us. We can highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back on our next visit to Saarland because we liked and enjoyed it.

Everyone is super friendly, you feel very comfortable and at home, a cozy atmosphere and the food is always fresh and delicious. Very decent restaurant that we will definitely visit often. Today (August 24th) we had dinner at MaPaSo with three people. On the one hand, it has a very cozy atmosphere and also generous outdoor seating, which we unfortunately couldn't take advantage of due to the thunderstorm. The drinks were picked up and served quickly. Afterwards, a friendly gentleman (I think the boss?) explained to us how ordering via the tablet works. The food was served in a reasonable time and we all enjoyed it fantastically. I myself was skeptical at first as to whether fondue was the right food in midsummer, but: YESAAAA!!! Give it a try, it's a lot of fun, it's delicious, it stimulates conversation and, most importantly, your house won't smell like grease for 3 days if you make it at home. And if you don't like fondue, you just have to look for the other great dishes on the menu. The prices are all reasonable, so I think everyone will find something for their wallet. We felt very comfortable and would also like to thank the friendly service for a successful evening! We'd love to come back :-)

A really great concept! Everyone in the area should try this out. The ingredients are all very fresh and even the fries are homemade. It's a shame that we have 500km of travel, otherwise we would stop here regularly. We sincerely wish the owner that the concept will be accepted and that he will be more than successful! From the greeting, to the explanation of the ordering system, to the farewell, you feel welcome here. The waiter (and co-owner) takes a lot of time to offer his guests a unique restaurant experience. The food was very tasty, the portion sizes were ideal and everything was fresh and “light” on the stomach. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed being here and will definitely come back one or two times ☺️ In terms of price, you can get enough to eat for just €25 per person. We ended up with a very fair €35 per person.

Renovated in an attractive and well-maintained manner with a lot of effort and investment! Very friendly young owner who puts a lot of passion behind his creative concept! Both vegetarian and vegan alternatives that no fondue lover will miss (whether fat, broth, cheese or chocolate); The selection of meat/fish/vegetables/side dishes etc. is very extensive, very fresh and very delicious. We had a great evening and would love to come back. For high-quality food, a well-thought-out concept and the host's obvious and warm concern for our well-being, we are happy to spend money and come back, also to enjoy the summer terrace!

Food was very good. Service was not okay. Well served at the beginning and then waited a long time for drinks because there was little staff. You have to work on it or you can't let so many guests make reservations. As I said, the food was great and the price was also right.

The choice between whole milk, dark and white chocolate, combined with lots of fresh fruit, rounded off our meal perfectly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting and the staff is very friendly. Such a great concept, beautiful ambience, incredibly large selection of ingredients, all of which are so appetizing and high quality that you could order up and down the entire menu. There really is something for everyone. Even vegans get their money's worth here. Everything and everyone of us tasted fantastic. The boss looked after us very well and no wish remained unfulfilled. By the way, you can also sit outside and enjoy a wonderful fondue evening with friends in summer. A clear and absolutely convinced recommendation!!!

Actually (still) an insider tip in Saarland. A visit here is totally worth it. You can eat cheaply, but also expensively. You have it in your own hands and everyone gets full. Even if you don't want fondue, there are alternatives. What the extremely people-friendly managing director has created here is phenomenal. I recommend listening to the instructions during the introduction. This was my second time visiting this location. I tried it out for the first time with my friends. We were particularly impressed by the sweet dishes. The second attempt started with my son, who was diagnosed with ADHD. Anyone who is familiar with the diagnosis knows the problems such children face. Of course, I am a mother who tries to teach my child rules of behavior in a restaurant. No matter how difficult it is. I really like the child-friendly staff, the location and of course the food on offer. Thank you. I really enjoy coming back again and again.

We became aware of MaPaSo through social media and took a long journey to try out this ingenious concept. What can I say, we weren't disappointed! All dishes are very fresh, all sauces and salads are homemade. You can't fake it, you just taste it. At first we were a bit at a loss as to how it worked - but we were instructed very patiently and in a very friendly manner. Was a great visit; perfectly implemented concept, interesting story behind the name and a very warm owner. We'd love to come back!

Too long waiting times for food, over 90 minutes.

We were completely alone, which was nice in itself, but the waiter still didn't come to ask if we would like to order more drinks. Also sometimes rude when asked, slightly passive-aggressive answers. When paying, no further questions about who is paying for what Food was delicious :)

Overall, a very good restaurant with a dark atmosphere, very nice service and really tasty, good quality food! I can only recommend!

We went to MaPaSo with friends to try something new. That was it and it all tasted good. The dips and side dishes were really nice, I especially thought the avocado chili fritters, which they fried themselves on site, were great. The caponata was also really fine, although very oily (but that's probably just the dish itself, I didn't know that before). The food and drink menu offers a good selection for everyone, including vegans. What we found annoying, however, was the high volume because it was very crowded, and the fact that despite the exhaust, the smell of grease and oil was constantly in the air and there wasn't much fresh air coming in. We also waited much longer than the announced 30 minutes for our dessert chocolate fondue, which took a long time.

We are not enthusiastic about this restaurant quite the opposite when we sat at our table a waiter came and explained the whole concept When we ordered broth and oil, they arrived quite quickly... But that was it. The broth fondue was already reduced by half when our food still wasn't there (we looked at the clock and... Waited more than an hour for our food... only for chopped meat and vegetables) After this time I said that we either wanted our food within 10 minutes or we were leaving...That worked relatively well (You could say that the staff had a lot to do, but if that was the case, I don't understand why the two waiters kept looking at us during the hour, stood around and didn't do anything, even when we tried to contact us three times to record) Well, when we had our food everything was ok at first, but the nice atmosphere was over (which would have been desirable, but it wasn't a must that we could have had pepper and salt at the table) When we were finished and wanted to pay, we waited again for 20 minutes. When the waiter came to us, he apologized for the inconvenience and more or less blamed it on the impossible tables that were sitting next to us (that's what the waiter said). Complained to other guests about other guests present...that wasn't really professional) And well, I actually expected compensation but didn't say anything, but I still thought it was a shame that so much had to go wrong And the only compensation Complaining about other guests was... Well, the food was ok, I thought it was relatively expensive, but you probably just pay for the experience, but since we already had very little broth, it was a little more difficult than normal However, our conclusion is Definitely never again

We were at Mapaso for the first time a few days ago and can only report good things. The waiter was very nice and explained everything well and understandably and the food was also great (especially the homemade aioli and the sweet potato fries). We will come back in any case.

We've just been there and the food is delicious. You can choose between different fondues and everyone can then choose their side dishes etc. The drinks are also very cheap and the waiter is a very friendly guy. The price is super fair and I can only highly recommend it.

Today we were at MaPaSo - Saarbrücken. However, my first encounter with the restaurant was by email or telephone. I had reserved a table for an evening by email (because I hadn't been able to reach anyone by phone for days), and this was also confirmed. Unfortunately I had to cancel this - again by email because no one could be reached by phone for days. The move of the table was also confirmed to me by email. On the original date I was called in the evening asking where I would stay, I had finally made a reservation for 6 p.m. with 6 people. After I explained that I had rescheduled the appointment by email and confirmed the new appointment by email, it was okay with the person I spoke to on the phone. Now for the evening: When we arrived we were greeted and given our table. We then went to the table, but since 3 of the 6 people were still missing, the gentleman wanted to come back to explain the system when everyone was there. We're still waiting for the explanation - after about 20 minutes the drinks were taken, we tried out the tray on our own and ordered it based on luck. Then the gentleman came again and said, “I see you've got it right, just don't order too much to start with, you can always order more.” In the meantime we sat there for 76 minutes, the pot with the oil arrived over half an hour ago , which is bubbling away... We don't have any meat or side dishes yet. The neighboring table with two people, who came a good half hour after us, is already eating. We were told up front that mushrooms were out. Shrimp in garlic are also empty - but normal shrimp are still available (can someone explain the logic to me here? Pickling them fresh in garlic would be an option). Almost 1.5 hours after I ordered, my side dishes arrived - would fried potatoes also work? Because rosemary potatoes would be out now(!). (Again the question of logic? Potatoes seem to be there - fresh pickling would be an option!) I could have killed someone with the white bread I ordered (I had cheese fondue). After a complaint they said “the boy is new in the kitchen and got the wrong bread”. The cauliflower we ordered was dirty (brown spots), the cucumbers in the cucumber salad were yellow = old. If fresh pickling is not an option, as a guest I have to assume that everything is prepared accordingly. THEN, however, I ask myself the question: Why do I have to wait 1.5 hours for my food? Statement from the waiter “this is a different system here than in other restaurants”; I know that - but in my opinion it doesn't justify it at all. I actually wanted chocolate fondue for dessert, but I passed it up... After I ordered the bill on the tray, Mr. Ludt came to the table and wanted to explain the bread thing again. I refused the explanation and told him that the whole evening was a failure for me. Answer: “Well, then I can’t change it”… that’s definitely not how you make money again from new customers 👍🏼 To cap off the evening, here's a little tip from me: When guests leave the restaurant, please check whether they are still standing in front of the door and can see you when you go to the next table (apparently regulars, were addressed as you) and tell them about our complaints while waving your hands in front of your face waves à la “they’re stupid”. This shop still has a lot to learn in terms of friendliness, speed, ability to take criticism and organization! Definitely not worth another visit.

Große Auswahl an Fondues, die Käsefondues sind aufjedenfall zu Empfehlen. Außerdem gibt es eine riesige Auswahl an Beilagen, Soßen und Zutaten zum Tunken. Das Tomaten Käsefondue ist besonders zu empfehlen. Der Service ist auch Hervorragend und sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant hat meine absolute Empfehlung

Einfach tolles Restaurant mit sehr frischem Essen und nettem Personal!

Wir waren zu 5. vor Ort, da es aber nur 2er Tische gibt die durch die Technik nicht zusammen geschoben werden dürfen saßen wir also in 2 zweier Grüppchen und eine Person alleine. Dadurch und die Lautstärke im Raum musste über drei Tische geschrien werden was recht ungünstig für eine Gruppe ist. Wir mussten 1.5 Stunden auf unser Essen warten, jedoch wurde das Öl schon kurz nach der Bestellung in die Tische gestellt. Der Effekt war bei uns allen, brennende Augen und knurrende Mägen. Das Essen an sich war gut allerdings teilweise bereits kalt, auch bei der Nachbestellung dauerte es so lange, dass man schon vergessen hatte was noch kommt. Wirklich schade, aber von uns wird leider keiner mehr dieses Restaurant besuchen.

Ein tolles Konzept mit den eingelassenen Fonduetöpfen. Da kann man einen netten Abend zusammen verbringen. Hat auch super geschmeckt, nette Bedienung und ein schönes Ambiente. Allerdings hat Fondue auch seinen Preis! Prima ist, daß man sich sein Menü individuell zusammenstellen kann, da kommt aber je nach Appetit auch was €€€ zusammen. Ansonsten gibt's auch à la carte die schnelleren/günstigeren Speisen

Sehr netter u. hilfsbereiter Service. Wir waren heute zum 1. Mal dort und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir haben uns für das Fondue mit Öl, verschiedene hausgemachte Salate und andere Beilagen sowie für das Schokofondue mit weißer Schokolade entschieden. Alles war super lecker. Wir werden sicher nochmal kommen ☺️

Wir haben dieses Restaurant heute zum ersten Mal besucht und das Fondue-Angebot genutzt. Das Essen ist super lecker, es wird alles frisch gemacht und viele Beilagen und Saucen sind hausgemacht. Der Inhaber ist super freundlich und sehr bemüht, mit Herzblut dabei! Definitiv ein Besuch wert. Wir kommen wieder. :)

Das Essen war sehr gut, allerdings mussten wir 1:15 Stunde darauf warten was sich mir nicht ganz erschließt da so gut wie alles vorbereitet sein sollte? Muss auch einigen Rezensionen zustimmen was den Geruch angeht, wobei es einleuchtend ist, dass nach dem Fondue die Kleider riechen. Man könnte es nur besser takten mit dem einschalten der Tische die haben natürlich 1 Stunde für nix gebrutschelt. Ansonsten muss ich sagen finde ich es auch etwas zu teuer und zu chaotisch vom Personal her. Essen wirklich gut, der Rest solala.

Wir waren heute mit einer kleinen Gruppe von vier Personen dort essen. Es war relativ spontan und hat sich definitiv ausgezahlt. Wir wurden am Anfang darauf hingewiesen, dass wir ein wenig warten müssten, wurden jedoch direkt an einen Tisch gesetzt. Das war jedoch nicht schlimm. Das Konzept, der Service und das Essen fanden wir insgesamt sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Der Inhaber ist sehr sympathisch, transparent (informiert vorab schon über vielleicht längere Wartezeiten und entschuldigt sich hierfür) und authentisch. Absolut super! 😊

Sehr lange aufs Essen gewartet. Käsefondue war nicht gut.Der Käse war sehr hell und offenbar mit Sahne oder Dergleichen gestreckt.Schmeckte nicht würzig. Ich hatte den halben Abend über kalt. Das Positive war der nette Service und das leckere Schokofondue.

Kann man mal machen. Die Auswahl ist mehr wie genug es schmeckte uns auch. Allerdings empfanden wir den Preis von 80 Euro für zwei Personen schon teuer . Danach mussten wir umgehend nach Hause da die Kleidung schon arg roch. Was aber auch einleuchtend ist.

Leider hatten wir einen schlechten Abend erwischt. Wir hatten einen Tisch reservieren für 19:30. beim platzieren wurden wir schon darauf hingewiesen, eine Bedienung sei ausgefalle und es könne dauern. Getränke konnten wir nach einer halben Stunde endlich bestellen. Wir waren das erste mal da. Der Kellner hat uns dann im schnelldurchlauf erklärt, was wir mit den Tablets machen müssen. Nach 1,5 Std hatten wir immer noch kein Essen. Auch die Nachbestellungen kamen viel zu spät. Wir mussten 3 mal nachfragen ob wir denn noch was zum trinken haben können. Eigentlich wollten wir noch ein Schokoladenfondue essen, dies haben wir dann gelassen. Leider war das erste und letzte mal das wir dort waren.

Lange Wartezeit, Service unerfahren, teilweise unfreundlich, Käsefondue enttäuschend, man stinkt hinterher wie aus der Frittenbude

Ein recht hübsches Restaurant einziger Kritikpunkt ist das man da nur 2er Tische hat die man nicht zusammen schieben kann. Wir waren mit 8 Personen dort und sassen an 4 Tischen

Die Geruchsbelästigung durch das siedende Öl ist schon heftig.. anschließend Reinigung von kleiner und Körper erforderlich..😒 Denke eine bessere Lüftung und Dunstabzug, sowie zum richtig Zeitpunkt das aufheizen einschalten, würde erheblich die Geruchsentwicklung reduzieren. Wenn der Laden voll ist, würde ich wieder auf dem Absatz umdrehen..😔 Qualität des Frietiergutes OK, Service naja .

Wer Lust auf Fondue hat sollte auf jeden Fall MaPaSo mal ausprobieren! Man bestellt über ein Tablet am Tisch und man hat eine große Auswahl an Beilagen zu den Fondues. Wir haben uns ein Ölfondue und Käsefondue mit Alkohol bestellt und sind begeistert gewesen. Falls die Beilagen schon leer sind kann man ohne Probleme weitere bestellen. Ich empfehle auch die Hausgemachten Salate der Küche zu probieren, der Gurkensalat und Bohnensalat besonders. Auch die selbstgemachten Saucen sind sehr lecker. Als Nachspeise kann man sich ein Schokofondue aus Weißer/Milch/Zartbitter Schokolade mit Früchten und Churros bestellen. Für Vegetarier und Veganer ist auch eine Vielfalt an Gerichten ausgestellt, unter anderem veganes Käsefondue. Das Ambiente ist schlicht schön gehalten und man kann auch mit einer größeren Gruppe an Leuten dort essen. Der Kellner, der uns an dem Tag bediente, ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend gewesen, hat uns an unseren Tisch geführt, das Bestellverfahren erklärt und war bei Fragen steht’s zur Stelle!
